Back again to my favorite seafood market.I was on my way home from work and wanted to grab something to eat before heading home. I wanted something quick, but not fast food. I knew I wanted seafood or something similar. Right away it came to my mind. A fried fish would sound good right now. I headed to my favorite seafood market to get me a fried fish and some fried shrimp. The perfect combination. This place never disappoints the fish is always well seasoned and well cooked.I usually get 1 pound of shrimp with head on but today they didn't have it so I went with the headless shrimp. For 2 fried tilapia and 1 pound of shrimp the check came out too $24. You can't beat that.I highly recommend everyone to stop by and try it. If you're in the area, they also have other kinds of fish they can fry for you. Service is always great here.

TAKE PEPPER SPRAY WHEN ENTERING! Anyhoo, If you could get over the scummy dudes standing outside asking if you need fake social security cards, go right in! This market is really really really a hole in the wall. Everything looks wrong in this place. It needs new paint, new floors, smells bad, looks bad but I haven't got sick yet so I'll keep on going back! Here's why I love this place. You go in, pick out what fish you want, give it to the dude behind the counter, he weights it, gives you a receipt, you go pay, in the mean time the dude is frying up your fish. It come out SOOO good! They season it up with god knows what (and i don't care) and throw some onion-cilantro stuff on it! It turns out beautifully! I always get the baby octopus, fried and talapia. Is the fish fresh? Who know! Who cares. My taste buds know what they like, and they like this place!

On a quest for fresh mussels, the husband and I bumped into this place on our way home from Shun Fat market. Bare in mind that it's a teeny tiny store. All of the seafood was in the back of the room and covered with ice. I didn't really see anything live. We asked one of the guys at the counter if they had mussels and he showed us a plastic zip lock bag with a box of mussels. Eh. If I wasn't in a hurry to find these gosh darn mussels, I probably would have ordered some fried fish! Will have to see if we make it back to this part of town....

4.5 star, only reason... The place can use a serious touch up on the inside. Lots of damaged/cracked furniture or fading/peeled paint. Now on to the stuff that REALLY matters. The seafood is super fresh. I saw the owner stacking some cat fish with plenty of ice. For a smelly fish, that place did not smell fishy, which is great, cause that's a good sign they are on top of there stuff being properly refrigerated. I ordered a salmon steak and half a pound of medium shrimp. My salmon steak was just under 2 pounds. I spent under $14 dollars. Im a big guy and this was like 3 meals. The price is super cheap, and the flavor is great. It had some diced up onions and cilantro. (they fried my salmon and shrimp) The house seasoning was good.Overall, this place is a gem. No thrills, no frills. Just good quality and cheap price.

Support your local mom and pops! This is a great little market to get some good seafood. You pick whatever seafood you want, hand it to the guys over the counter and they will happily clean and/or fry it for you. One of my favorites is the fried tilapia. They even add diced onions and cilantro for garnish and season it with some seasoned salt! Everything seems moderately priced considering it's seafood. This market also sells other basic items such as milk, eggs, and vegetables.
