KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)! That's what a wise man once told me.Who doesn't like a hearty breakfast on the weekend? I'm always down after a tough work week. Too often in Southern California, you need a reservation to eat even a quick breakfast. Granted, if I wasn't so lazy, I would prepare my own meal. On this day I needed a quick meal, preferably a delicious one. BINGO!Now I've dined at El Burrito Junior (LBJ to us socal folks) many times for lunch and dinner. This was my first breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a fancy place but the workers are friendly and the service is quick. There are simple booths as well as outdoor tables. It's very clean. The breakfast was simple and surpassed my expectations. Sausage and eggs were cooked perfectly to order. Not skimpy links but thick tubes of meat with a nice charred exterior and snap. Rice and beans were generously scooped on the plate to support the meal. Who needs toast and potatoes?! Choice of corn or flour tortillas. Of course chips and salsa to start. Salsa is tart, slightly smoky, with mild heat. Extra salsa available to enhance the eggs. Hmm, I wonder if this is why I decided to critique the restroom? So if you're lazy like me and can't get a table anywhere for breakfast, give it a try. There is a convenient parking lot. Additional TMI note: the bathroom was very clean for a fast food place.
