Arrived in LB after torturing trek from Sac'to to see the kid at his dorm but he had frat and club activities so we left and checked into our hotel. After we unloaded my wife and I looked at each other with that...."what's for dinner" look so I perused Yelp to see what sounds good. I saw a Mexican place near the college so we hopped into the car and saw El Burrito Grill as we left the parking lot but it didn't have anyone inside so I proceeded to my first choice but after looking at their menu board we decided to head back to El Burrito Grill. Upon parking we saw a few people inside which made me feel better about the restaurant. As we walked in there's pictures of food they serve and I decided on a wet burrito and my wife the nachos. They serve whole fried tortillas for chips instead of the normal triangle shaped ones. The burrito itself was very delicious but the sauce seemed like just plain enchilada sauce. My wife's nachos was delicious too but the whole tortilla chips made it hard to eat because she had to use her fork to break up the chips into manageable pieces to eat. All in all the meal was good and on a pinch I'd come back to try their dinner plates. The young gal at the counter was very sweet which was a bonus and made our experience pleasurable. Maybe if you go, she'll be there to take your order.

Wow! So different from their other location! Popped in for a quick lunch no one else was in the joint except for a group of guys who were being served. No greeting from the guy working behind the counter, who I think is also cooking?.. no one came to bring a menu or acknowledge we are there! Mind you this is 12pm about an hour after they opened and there was food in the floor already!Waited, and waited... still no one so we just left! I understand if you're short staffed but at least acknowledge that a customer has arrived!Bad service!!

Impressively good burritos! Split the machaca burrito and the bean & cheese with a buddy and prepare to go into orbit. Machaca isn't too spicy and super tender. The refried beans are some of the best I've had in a long time. Burritos price at around $9-$13. Pickup service was lightning quick at just 15 mins on a weeknight. From the outside it may look easy to pass on your way down PCH, but this spot is well-deserved in the bean & cheese discourse.

Ambiance was your average Mexican restaurant. I only saw two employees; could be why the tables needed bussing.Service was prompt and friendly. The waiter offered suggestions for my cravings. We ordered a huge wet burrito, mini chimmis, rice & beans to go. Everything tasted great! The bag was filled with tostadas and salsa.

The most bizarre awful experience. I walked in with my brother for the first time ever and the manager and cook claimed that we were there the day before and never paid for our food. I was so confused and felt awful for being accused. My brother and I explained that we had never been there before. The manager was rude to us and said that is what the cook said. I was so upset and almost cried. My brother talked to the manager assuring him that we were not the criminals and the manager ended up realizing that they were wrong and said he would serve us. I said no thank you because I was so upset and we left. I would like to add that the restaurant looks worn down. There was tape all over the booth seats. This place doesn't have good reviews and now I know why. The cook needs to get his eyes checked. The manager should have handled that situation differently. The whole experience was extremely disrespectful. See how long they stay in business....

I checked out El Burrito Grill for Taco Tuesday and the experience made my day! I was greeted by a kind man who patiently gave me the run down of the Taco Tuesday special. The deal applied to carne asada taco and carnitas taco which was $2.75 each. The tacos are soft shell, large portions, topped generously with pico de gallo and guacamole. I dined in on their spacious patio (seating for 20+ people). I was also brought a massive basket of thin, crispy chips and medium salsa with a nice kick. I prefer a crispy rather than soft shell taco so it was no problem transforming my taco into what I wanted . I was brought water, lemons and checked on attentively. Everyone at the establishment smiled in passing, from the server to the cook to the staff taking out the trash. What a lovely establishment run by kind people. I wish I visited sooner and look forward to returning to try the rest of their menu.

El Burrito Grill is delicious. My Dad and I had gone yesterday. I must say that I'll definitely return. Also, the lady at the register had great customer service and was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
