El Baja Bar & Grill

If you need a GREAT place for drinks, food and entertainment El Baja Norwalk is the place to be. Alison is one of the best bartenders I have had the opportunity to meet. Super friendly and can mix up almost any drink you're looking for. I have tried a number of the food options they offer and it is all very flavorful and freshly cooked. It comes to your table so hot that you have to wait for it to cool down. Taco Tuesdays are always a hit, great selection of meats and plenty of fixings to pile your taco as high as you want. Thursdays and Sundays there is entertainment which is always enjoyable. Come see Allison at the bar, you will not be disappointed!!!

For an unlimited buffet and mimosas this was a nice place for brunch. El Baja bar & Grill is located close to us and we have seen them advertise their brunch on social media but have never had a free Sunday to go. We finally did and I'm glad we came to check it out. We arrived around 11AM and were seated right away. There were only about 4 other parties seated so it wasn't too busy. I will say maybe an hour or so after we arrived there were tons more people who arrived. The waitresses are nice and very attentive. They ask you what you want to drink and mimosas are included with the price and are bottomless. They come back pretty quickly to refill your glass once it's empty which is always a good thing. As far as the food it's really good quality for a buffet. Since this is a Mexican restaurant the focus is on Mexican food so you will find Enchiladas, Birria, Tacos Dorados, Quesedillas, Ceveiche, Sopes, Posole, Menudo, Concha's, even sushi and I known I'm missing a few things. They even have a person making fresh chilaquiles and omelettes. Every thing we ate was really good and didn't taste like just some ordinary buffet food that's just been sitting there. It all tastes fresh and would be a great stand alone dish if ordered on their own. The fact that you can keep coming back to grab more just makes it that much better. One thing to note is the music is kind of loud and has sort of a party vibe as there is a DJ playing the music. For us it was not a party and once you get a few mimosas in your in the partying mood. Just thought I would mention this if it isn't your vibe. I feel like it is a good value at $37.99 even if you don't drink. If you do partake in the mimosas I feel like it's an even better value. If you have been hesitant to try this place out for brunch I really think you should consider this for your next Sunday brunch outing.

Decided to try this place out, as we're in the area. We were greeted right away. We walked right in and sat at the bar.Chips & salsa were served. Salsa is good with mild bit of heat. (I don't do hot)Ordered a couple of drinks and they were well made. Food arrived quickly. My enchilada tasted so good. Lots of flavors. Wife had the taco and the chicken also was well flavored. The place is nice and clean with plenty of natural light. We were before happy hour, so we'll be back for that. (M~F 3~7pm)

First time at this restaurant/bar and have mixed feelings. Gave it 4 stars but could be 3 stars depending on your preferences in food. Tacos... Great, generous portions, homemade corn tortillas and flavorful proteins. Lumberjack lunch special was good $ (eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes and hash browns) but flavors were fair. Unfortunately hash browns were cold in the center. Staff nice and attentive.

I visited this Mexican restaurant for Taco Tuesday with a friend. We arrived around 5:30 pm and found the parking situation to be quite frustrating. The restaurant has a small parking lot that can probably fit around 20 cars, and there was no parking available. There's a small taco stand next door with its own private parking, but I didn't want to risk it, so I ended up parking down the street. Based on this alone, I won't be returning.We waited over 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. When they didn't, my friend had to go ask the hostess to send our waitress. She wasn't apologetic or gave a reason for the delayed service. She seemed very irratated when she approached our table. For drinks, I ordered a strawberry margarita and a mango margarita. They were good and didn't give me a headache like most sugary drinks, so that was a plus.I ordered two steak tacos, which came plain, and you have to add your own toppings from the taco bar. The music was VERY loud, making it difficult to hear my friend, who was sitting directly across from me. I couldn't wait to leave because the music was so loud, I felt like I needed earplugs. Overall, between the challenging parking situation, the slow service at the beginning, and the deafening loud music, I won't be back.

First time visiting for lunch around 2pm so there were hardly any people there but I could tell that it was a fun place! Lots of cool lights and speakers, I can only imagine how fun it can get!I had Mole enchiladas but with cheese only & their Mole was super yummy! It's hard to find a good quality Mole and this place has it. Their rice & beans were super tasty too.My friend had the burger & said it was good, I guess he wasn't feeling like good Mexican food, lol!We had very friendly service and they were very attentive.I would have given it 5 stars but they didn't have a Watermelon Margarita! This is summer, it's almost a must to have in a Mexican restaurant. They had it in a flight of Margs so it's interesting that they don't offer a full size one. I did have their Strawberry Martini and that sure was delicious!

This is one of my new favorite spots! The drinks are amazing and the food is even better. I love the atmosphere at the bar area, the music is The service is top tier. Definitely visit this place 1/2 a month.

Went about a week ago for some drinks with friends. Alison was the bartender, she provided amazing service and had great recommendations for drinks. Drinks came fairly quick even though it was really busy. Btw try the queso fundido it was delicious!! Will be back here again thanks to the great service she provided and good food.

This place is very warm and inviting. The beautiful female servers are sweet and very patient, their smiles add to the coziness of this place. The food was very delicious and makes you smile as well. The DJ plays a variety of music that keeps your feet tapping while the food makes your belly happy Robert M.
