Very excited to finally try this place out. Came in on a Saturday around 7 pm. Waited about 10/15 minutes for a party of 6. we started off with a Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks and enjoyed both. The mozz sticks tasted like your average pizza joint ones, not bad but not the best I've ever had. Ordered an Al Pastor pizza and it was great! The meat had a great flavor and I loved all the toppings. The rest of my family ordered a marg pizza and a build your own. Also a spaghetti and ravioli. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Service was a little slow and our waitress seemed to forget about us for a little bit, but she did apologize when she came back to us. Completely understood since it seemed like she had a handful of tables she was taking care of. Overall, really enjoyed and will definitely be bringing the family back!

This place never disappoints! They have the BEST pastrami pizza ever! I know that doesn't sound good to most people but I'm telling you must try it! It's better than a pepperoni pizza and pepperoni is my favorite! The service is always good even when they are busy! They have a full service bar which is always a plus. A must try!

A bit disappointing, I hadn't been to Downey Pizza Company in a while, but the service was still good for my experience. The ambiance is not bad either, there's a bit of a historic type of charm to it on the inside. Where I was disappointed is with the pizza, they forgot a topping and a request I had made even though they confirmed with me when I ordered and even when I picked up the pizza. First time here at THE DOWNEY PIZZA CO., one of my work buddies stated several times they have the best pizza in Downey. Well I just happen to be passing by with a friend and decided to go check it out to see what the hype was about. They have music playing and tv screens with sports playing, I like it already. We had the pleasure to meet the lovely Justine. I asked her what was popular and she explained her favorites. I ordered mozzarella sticks previous to ordering, that was a mistake cause it filled me up some before we ordered....lol. So we decided to try half pastrami and half el pastor on one small sized pizza, then another small with half Marguerite and half The Mexican. Justine was not wrong though, they were all so good. The crust was so good in my opinion. My buddy and I left 7 pieces of pizza left over to take home. The pizza was so nice and hot when it came out, so very delicious. They did not disappoint. Justine kept doing drive bys and filling our glasses of drinks. Not missing a bear. She was very hospitable, sweet, informative, attentive, and funny. I recommend highly if you havent been. Great experience. Thank you Justine. See ya next time. Definitely coming back.

I'm from Downey and I've been really trying to support local businesses but this place is definitely a NO for me now!!! Ordered 2 times take out and everything time is disappointing. Back in November 2024 ordered a NY style pizza turns out you have to tell them you want pepperoni on it! SAY WHAT! You work there, you supposed let people know a NY style is only cheese pizza, same order got a garden salad. Received a "salad" is only iceberg lettuce and 2 pieces of tomato. Tonight 02/8/25 placed another order a Large NY style WITH PEPPERONI and order of cheese bread, guess what I got instead of cheese bread? Garlic Bread and they charge me for cheese bread. And their Pizza is not even NY Style is all bread now! Bye!! Taking my Business to Avenue Pizza on Downey Ave!!! Do Not Go
