One of the best spontaneous decisions my sister and I ever made was staying up all night to visit the fish market when it opened at 6 a.m. Craving seaside donuts, we found ourselves in a quiet but lively space by the water, waiting for that first taste of freshness. It was more than just a food run--it turned into a memory I'll always cherish. The market is bustling with fresh catches and friendly faces, and the seafood is unbeatable. For anyone looking for top-quality, fresh seafood, this place is a gem, and the line is worth every minute. There's something special about those early morning hours, sharing laughs with my sister and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

If you want the freshest seafood in the area, come at 4am for the best picks in the morning. I did come here at 6:45am on a Saturday and the only line left was the crabs, but it was the only thing we were aiming to obtain anyways. Of course getting there at the end means slim pickings, so we got 6 crabs (and only male ones left). It's $4/lbs, so our total was $22, which was pretty good. It's definitely a cool experience for some fresh seafood. The lady helping was a bit rude, but I also understand she probably deals with the same questions every morning from customers asking if there's more picks on the back or if something is already out.

I just bought a lot of shrimp that arrived on 4/30 this morning because I remembered the taste of raw shrimp.I'm going to give a few to people I know so they can know the taste of raw shrimp. The reverse price is $38/lb. It's expensive. It's expensive. If you lower the price, we can go more often...

What an experience. If you're a fan of fresh seafood, you gotta check this place out. It may sound daunting to line up at 4/5 am, but it's worth it. Prices are cheaper than the supermarket and you know it's guaranteed fresh here. They open at 5:30 AM and if you get here right when they open, you'll be stuck in a huge line. Make sure to dress appropriately because it's damn cold when you're just waiting around. There are 3 separate lines. The line on the far left is for stone crabs ($4/lb). They separate males and females. The males are larger and have bigger claws while the females are popular for their eggs. It's all about preference and what you like. The line in the middle is for sea urchin and the fish stalls in the back of the market. The sea urchins go for $10 a pop but if you buy in bulk (quantities of 10), they're $8 a piece. The fish stalls in the back are pretty cool. I'm sure the catch changes weekly but they descale/filet/steak/clean the fish for you after you purchase. This time, they had black cod ($8/lb), red snapper, and halibut to name a few. Some were huge! The line on the far right is for prawns ($33/lb), lobster ($100 for two), spider crab ($40 for two) and stone crab. I'd say this line is the longest and gets backed up because each customer is served individually - it's not a free for all like the crab line on the far left. This spot is definitely worth experiencing at least once in your life!

Fresh seafood, make sure to get there before they open, so it won't have a long line. Crabs are decent price! We didn't get to try the sea urchin, because the owner is on vacation! 2 lines, one for the crab, another one for the shrimp and sea urchin

Oh go here for the freshest of the fresh brought in. You won't be disappointed. Especially with the essence of the beach lol the fish is so good that even the birds know where to go for scraps after it's been cleaned . Fresh. Crabs well last I went had a great price. Cash only. There's an atm nearby . Caught in the morning. I love fresh. Can't go wrong. When it's fresh the meat is more tender and just I can't describe how good it is in words. Quite a variety.

I felt compelled to write this review as someone who doesn't ever really leave reviews. I showed up early and secured 2nd place in the crab line. In this time you would see the fisherman arrive with their fresh bounty and begin setting up. This being my first time I would have assumed anyone who had already spent all evening fishing, and then coming to set up the market, and then deal with customers would not be in a great mood. I couldn't have been more wrong. These hard working men and women couldnt have been anymore pleasant. i was blown away, by how they would take the time to answer your question, and would help you pick out great crabs. I have to give Ed a huge shout out, he helped me out by answering all my questions as it was my first time. He somehow organized a controlled chaos of eager customers looking to get fresh fish and crab. From the moment I grabbed my paper bag to the moment I paid for my seafood, everyone working was awesome. The seafood is fresh and the customer service was stellar, especially in a post covid world where it seems customer service is rare.I will definitely be lining up at the crack of dawn again.Thank you Ed & crew!
