Donut King and Water

I found this gem while visiting California. The atmosphere reminded me of old nostalgic convenience store from my childhood in Korea. They are 24 hours donut shop, and I did not expect much from late night munchies anyway.An old Chinese man greeted us as soon as we entered - which made me little anxious to pick since I am very indecisive when it comes to donuts. But he was very welcoming and complimented on my choice of donuts, which gave me a boost in self confidence. He then said something mixed with Chinese, which I did not fully understand. While checking out, he asked what nationality I am and said he thought I was Chinese. As I am leaving the store, he thanked me with 'Gracias'. I was mistaken as a Chinese while being a Korean, and got thanked in Spanish. If Martin Luther King Jr. was still with us, he must be most certainly happy watching our interaction.Other than the friendly owner, the donuts were very decent quality for 24 hours store. The only complaint I had about donuts was that their old fashioned type donut was not crunchy but rather soft (?) unlike usual. It was still good, nevertheless. It's just that it felt little unusual from what I was expecting.

I write my reviews as a person that doesn't want anything but kind courteous, and prompt service without attitude, do that I'm giving a positive review and rating.That being said, this is such a warm and friendly establishment, the woman working there came out and greeted me with a great engaging smile and she was so very friendly, the place is very clean but had the Covid appropriate yellow tape on all of the tables and chairs.I filled up my 5 gallon water bottle but, this is a nice place that I would sit and have a cup of coffee and donutt

The selection at Donut King and Water is large. The donuts are your standards, nothing too special or to write home about. The sever is alright, nothing super special. I've heard so many bad experiences that I luckily didn't have here. Donut King and Water was nothing exciting but a donut and coffee place. Short and Simple

They have a neon sign that says open 24hrs and yes some how every time I've tried to come here it's closed. Whether we want donuts or need water they are ALWAYS a let down. One day around 8pm they had a sign that said will return at 10pm, we brushed it off and decided to come in the morning and guess what THE SIGN WAS STILL UP. This is literally the most pointless donut shop ever. Just close permanently if it's so hard or inconvenient for you to be open during your "normal" hours.

Worst customer service, I cam here to buy some food. The lady who is making my ham croissant did not wear gloves or face mask when it is now mandatory. I asked her and she just say so you don't want my food? I say no thanks and walk out. At least wear gloves if you are using your fingers to grab my food. Disgusting...

Usually, I am a very understanding person and o ALWAYS try and give people the benefit of the doubt. I waited for about a good 5 minutes trying to decide what donut to get. As I stood over the glass, I began to notice ants. I thought, okay, a few ants never hurt anybody but they just kept coming and coming. Within the 5 minutes of me standing there, they were all over each tier of donuts. I was going to walk away but I figured I should let her know because maybe she was I aware. Once I explained to her the situation, she treated it as no big deal and asked if I wanted a different kind of donut? In disbelief, I told her, you cannot sell this food to people! The worker shrugged it off like no big deal and asked to help the next person in line! DO BOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!! Who knows what other kind of critters they have creeping around and in their food! I'm still in awe at her response.

Horrible drinks.. pure sugar and lying to people about coffee being inside..Horrible customer service.. donuts are stale and probably made a week ago..What a shame

Been coming here for about 9 years and let me tell you that my family and I enjoy coming here for there freshly made Donuts and coffee/tea. Water dispensers are easy and clean to handle. Reasonable prices. Phenomenal customer service and overall clean and great quality.

I will give this place a 1 star, the Carmel on my drink had ants in it, I realized half way when I drinking it.

Donuts are okay however very overpriced. I bought a dozen donuts and it was 25 bucks.
