Donut City

This hole-in-the-wall donut place is a great place to grab any type of quick snack or meal for any time of day. It is located in the middle of the residential neighborhood of Lakewood, and just south from the Artesian High School. You can get donuts, breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches, coffee, juice, soda, smoothies, boba tea, ice cream, dessert, etc. It really was designed for high schoolers to come here after school, or for the locals to come here in the morning or afternoon. The only complaint I have is that their parking lot is very small, so you might not be able to find a parking spot in this very tiny plaza, but there is a large parking lot across the street. They also participates in the Too Good to Go app, and the owner was very generous with their quantity that they provided, so I got a chance to try out a bunch of their variety of pastries & donuts. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in Lakewood!

I got a dozen an it came with one free! I'm glad I went it's across the street to me. It was surprisingly busy in there when I got there'. Looks like a lot of people go in to hangout. I'd love to try the donuts fresh in the morning. I would say the donut is very doughy and everyone has their preference over more dense or fluffy. I think I prefer more dense over fluffy but to each their own. I would say the lady there was so sweet

I wanted to give this place a try since I work close by and have always driven by but never been inside.To be honest, i'm not the biggest fan of donuts but I love coming to these kinds of businesses to try the bagels and croissants and sandwiches. I came in here and ordered the number 4, a ham,egg and cheese bagel with jalapeños and it was pretty good! I'd definitely come back and try it again or get it in a croissant. The prices kind of threw me off but it was worth it in the end . I didn't get anything else but most of the things they have here seem reasonably priced. I also noticed they have ice cream, probably Thrifty's which is an added bonus tbh. I will have to stop by here again and grab some one of these days.It was also clean inside and the worker lady was very nice to me and made my sandwich pretty quickly. I'm glad their business has been up and running for so long and I do recommend anyone to come here and give it a try.

Dropped in to grab a bite. Service was friendly and prompt. I got a donut which was good, and I got a ham and cheese bagel which really hit the spot. Prices seemed average. Nothing really stands out, but I was happy with my visit and wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

On a quest to have a chocolate French cruller. They did not have one at this donut shop called Donut City. Am happy that they were open though. Had passed by 5 other shops, but they were all closed!!This is a No frills donut shop. No fancy gourmet or gimmicky donuts here! Ended up buying a Boston Creme donut. It was fine, but the ratio of custard to donut was uneven. Would have preferred more custard than donut.The girl who helped me gets 5 stars. Always nice to have service with a smile so extra star overall for that. They also sell Lottery tickets so you could buy the lucky ticket here as well. Good luck!

I love this place. The donuts are delicious and the man at the counter is so sweet he even gave me a free 2019 calendar when I went in Christmas morning.It's walking distance from my house. The coffee is fresh and the prices are cheap.On weekends the parking lot can be a bit tricky to maneuver but it's not enough to deter me from coming back

Always fresh doughnuts with a good variety. Been coming here for years but I still drive out of my way to eat here.

I came here for the first time today because I was on a walk with my dog and I always pass by this place and I wanted to support a local donut shop. I usually go to Donut Palace on Del Amo which has GREAT service and actual friendly staff. I was NOT planning on eating there because I had my dog, I just wanted to get my donut and go. Upon entering I carried my dog in my arms to be respectful and the dude did not even say hi to me, immediately kicked me out in the rudest way and said there were no dogs allowed even though there is NO sign saying that and mind you, I have a tiny chihuahua that I was carrying in my ARMS. I am NEVER going here again. Just go to Donut Palace. They're nice and always allow me to at least carry my dog inside so I can just be in and out. Honestly, screw this place. Again, go to Donut Palace on Del Amo instead.

Did donut city go out of business. Every time I go there or drive by they are closed.
