As someone who cooks Italian food at home too much, and as someone who never keeps less than four cans of san marzano tomatoes in my kitchen at any time, it's rare that an Italian restaurant blows me away anymore. I can think of two restaurants in the last three years that have actually made me moan. Domenico's is one of them. I've been here several times, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I don't expect to ever be disappointed to be honest. Everything here is spot on, from their pizzas and pastas, to the focaccia they give. I'd inject their balsamic sauce into my veins if I could. One tiny suggestion for their focaccia would be to make them just a tad bit less dense, and crispier. But I really don't care. Lasagna? Fire. Chicken marsala? FIRE. Everything is fire. The atmosphere is absolutely stunningly romantic. It's a perfect spot for dates, celebrations, or to just unwind. The staff are wonderful and attentive. Tip them well. The world doesn't crave the simpler things in life anymore. Come to Domenico's and they'll teach you a lesson in enjoying hearty, well-made food even if your life is in a state of flux. Because at the end of the day, all you really need is a plate of pasta and a good wine to go with it to make all of your troubles disappear.

Incredible we have not been here before.Absolutely delicious. From the in-house focasia bread to the fresh salad and trimmings to the fried zucchini to the super delicious pizza with real hot cappi, something other pizza and Italian restaurants do not offer. The tiramisu dessert was delicious. Our server Barnabas was friendly courteous and a all around nice guy. Lance the General Manager was also friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of Domenicos. He visited our table and informed us of how fresh ALL the ingredients are here, receiving their meats n cheese and produce from the same supplier for 5 decades. Wow! Impressive. This being our 1st time here we can truly and highly recommend Domenicos for lunch and dinnersWe will definitely be back again and again. Thanks to ALL the staff for such a pleasant and very tasty dinner.

This italian restaurant has been around since 1957 for a reason, it's absolutely delicious. We went for Valentine's Day and luckily got offered to sit at the bar and avoid waiting any longer. The bar is very, very tiny. Our server Charlotte was really sweet and attentive. We got some drinks and then started with the bread, then our entrees. My husband got the chicken piccata and I got the gnocchi with Mariana cream as is. The gnocchi should be a delicacy, it's legit the best pasta I've ever had. It was so freaking good. We had a fantastic dinner and will be back again. Thank you Domenico's for a great dinner!

I've been coming to Domenico's since 2017. I don't live in the area anymore, but make the drive down when I can because I love the food. My go to order is always sausage tomato cream pasta, a ground pepperoni pizza, and tomato soup. Pro tip: you can ask them to do half sausage tomato cream and half chicken basil cream.Other dishes I recommend are the gnocchi and mozzarella logs. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy. Seating can take a bit on the weekends, but it is worth the wait.

It was the day after Christmas and we were wiped out from the night prior of festivities. We were ready for a chill day with zero cooking and chores. We were seated in a booth, which I love. Super cozy.Lasagna sounded really good about now. And our brain was definitely hankering for comfort food. We started with soup. Minestrone for him. And I had the Onion soup - and it was quite a meal - with a hunk of bread and melted cheese. Husband and I shared: the Lasagna - layers of pasta, ground beef, Italian sausage, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic and spices with meat sauce. served right out of the oven on in a casserole dish, best way as it retains its heat throughout of meal.Cauliflower fritti - fried florette served on a bed of romaine lettuce and with garlic aioli (we love a good veggie dish!)The bread basket tells a lot about the restaurant. The basket was filled with herb focaccia, not just a boring white bread! I had a glass of Sangiovese, Caparzo, husband chose the house Chianti. What a pairing!Service was nice and friendly. Our server constantly checked on us. For sure, we will come back so we can try the other dishes too! Buon appetito!* There is also a small bar towards the back and seatings available for those who prefer this.

Our new family spot and it could not be any better. Whenever we head up to Long Beach for a get together, there's no doubt about where we go -- Domenico's. The interior is very comfortable, with a warm and genial staff matching their tables & booths. The menu is not overly complicated, one of the best things a restaurant can have is a menu that is friendly to the customer. Domenico's excels at this, and you'll find yourself having no issue on what to orderThe pizzas are superb. They don't have excessive oil, the dough is chewy, and the toppings are delicious. They'll even double cut your slices to help make portions better. I wish they had booths/seating available for groups larger than 8, as this is my only point against, overall though it's a lovely place and I'm always happy to come here whenever I can.

I went here with my family for my birthday and the food and service was excellent! I ordered the chicken Parmesan with meat sauce and it was very filling! Expect to take leftovers home. Also, I had the house made tiramisu which was DELICIOUS!!! It was genuinely the best tiramisu I have ever had in my life. And I didn't like tiramisu much before! But seriously this tiramisu changed my life. Furthermore, the atmosphere was very relaxing and cozy! It's such an amazing place to go to with your family. Overall, I would definitely come here again as you leave very happy with a full stomach!

Been coming here for years. Service is hit or miss. Last four times it's been a hard miss waiting for 5-10 minutes before a waiter comes to the table for the first time. Maybe it's because I go alone, I see tables with more guests get a lot better service.

My bf took me here on my birthday for the first time!! The ambiance of this place is sooo cute! It's more on the darker/romance/date night kind of vibe with fairy lights and a lit candle at the table. I loved the color and decor of the place. We only ordered 2 dishes and shared because the portions were great. We got the pasta as seen in the picture, and the pizza. I will say the pizza wasn't to my liking that much cause it was super salty, but the pasta was great!! They give you the option of making it for 2! Lastly, the manager was super friendly about us lighting a cake popper on our cake. Will be back!

After years of "I wonder if that place is any good?", we finally gave it a try! We arrived around 7pm and there was a 30 minute wait, so the hubbies waited in the lobby while my gf and I got drinks for us all in the bar area. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes watching the servers come and go, as well as the bar backs. Finally, Mike (owner) came over and asked if we've been helped. When he heard that we hadn't, he said he'd send someone over right away. Once we got our drinks from the fantastic bartender who chilled our beer glasses with ice, because they just came out of the dishwasher, we were on our way back to our hubbies. The night just kept getting better.Once we were seated, we devoured the basket of bread with our order of Giant Meatballs ($16.99), and they were delicious! We ordered the Ground Pepperoni Pizza ($33.99). If you've never had it, come here and be amazed. The pepperoni was plentiful and crispy with a little kick. The crust had a great chew to it. It makes you wonder why all pizzas aren't made this way! The Eggplant Parm ($24.99) was the best that I've had. It was served over a bed of Angel Hair and the right amount of sauce. Service here is fantastic. It was a full house and the servers couldn't have been more friendly.Thank you again, Mike, for helping us get our drinks and stopping by our table to chat with us! We can see why your restaurant has been around for as long as it has. We will definitely back!
