We were in the area and decided to stop for a drink at first it seemed a lil hostile regulars only vibe but after a while we warmed up and got smiles from those in the bar. they have 1 pool table small place but feels cozy. there was 1 bar tender but she handled the small crowd smoothly and everyone was all smiles it was a good time. thank you ! we didn't have food but would try some out next time!

Cold beers in frosty pint glasses delivered by a fantastic bartender? Sign me up. What more do you need to know? The vibe is chill. Dave's is exactly what you want a dive bar to be. Seeya there!

My man and I wanted to watch UFC fights AND play pool on a Saturday night which I knew was a big ask but we took our chances. We drove past this bar as we've done a million times and saw that it was calm. We went in and Brigette was bartending. She was amazing and so were the couple regulars who were there including Paul who was a sweetheart. We got everything we hoped for including ice cold beers. Very cute and will be going back! Thank you guys.

Great local watering hole. Friendly bartenders and nothing but great vibes. Most of the crowd are locals but we're welcoming to everyone. Don't forget to try the deviled eggs.

Great joint to drink a few beers, play games (shuffle puck and pool), and chat with some locals. We watched some football and enjoyed this low-key spot. Love that they have a bike rack out front. Was our forst time there and will go back.

Visited with my wife on Columbus Day while we were out and about. As we now live in Costa Mesa we normally don't get into Seal Beach a whole lot except for my work. Just a beer and wine bar with locals, a pool table, 2 TVs, web jukebox, and shuffleboard. They have added an ATM over the last 20 years! They do make a few sandwiches and have pistachios, peanuts, pickled eggs, and assorted chips! Mike and Lisa do a great job with this laid-back and enjoyable spot. Lots of great memories from when we lived closer and visited more often. The locals treat all with respect. If you're looking for a place to wind down while you're in Seal Beach, you could do a lot worse than stopping at Dave's Other Place!

Great local spot closes early, not quite a dive but perfect if you're trying to grab a beer or two

From our very first visit we were treated like regulars. Of course, the regulars are a bit irregular. Sure, they get a few sailors when the ship docks and some kids who lost their way to Main Street, but it seemed to be mostly the kind of sunbaked, Golden retriever-owning locals you'd expect to see passed out on a fishing boat or bopping to the Beach Boys cover band at the car show. (What's the band's name? God Only Knows). For $8, got a pair of ice cold beers in those big frosted schooners with broken ice sheets on the glass surface like some Al Gore documentary. A dish of pistachios is only $3. The shuffleboard is three dollars less than that! Woo hoo!We were suspicious our second visit to see if it was a fluke. Nope. Again we were treated like we were regulars. Maybe they are looking for new regulars because the old regulars will be "taking a trip to Belize" sooner than later. (Breaking Bad reference) Who knows. We've met two bartenders so far: Bridget, the sweetheart who reminds me of a stacked, brunette Goldie Hawn, and a more Rachel McAdamsy gal who did a silly and spontaneous interpretative dance around the 50 cent pool table to a Lionel Richie song with some barrel-chested, sunburned Jimmy Buffet fan. We knew we had found a new favorite bar, one that feels like the high school parties my big brother had in our garage. Only here, instead of worrying that your mom is coming home soon, you have to worry about your mom already BEING there. It's a unpretentious rumpus room full of friendly locals.Youngsters and scenesters: stick with Main Street. If Main Street is a meat market, Dave's is a farmer's market, (in a good way).
