Dave's Hot Chicken

I went to Dave's Hot Chicken for the Free Slider deal!!I got the Single Slider with medium spice level. I have gotten a Single Slider with mild spice level, and I thought it didn't taste spicy at all. The medium spice level gives a little kick, but I think next time I'll go for a heavier spice level. Cheese is extra so I chose not to add cheese to my Single Slider. I do recommend trying the Dave's Sauce.The restaurant was really clean despite the amount of people walking in and out, sitting down, and standing in line. There's tons of seating, and there's two kiosks near the register that you can order from.The employees were all kind despite the busyness from the Free Slider deal on October 24 for Drake's birthday. Alicia H. took my order at the register, and she was super sweet! She also had me scan a QR code that took me to the Dave's Hot Chicken Google page to make a review. Jessica gave me my order, along with Dave's Sauce. She was very energetic and kind! The service was also super fast!I would come here again when it's not during a big deal because I am intrigued on how spicy the chicken can really get!

I was visiting Long Beach, and this spot had been on my radar for some time. But while I LOVE spicy fried chicken, I admit I was coming in with major bias. That's because I live in Nashville most of the year and spend the rest of my time in Los Angeles. In Nashville, we invented hot chicken in the '80s. And since the hot chicken craze exploded around 2010, there is no limit to the number of imposters out there trying to replicate Nashville hot chicken only to fail miserably. To defend our most famous dish, I was ready to rip Dave's apart and explain to my fellow Angelenos what real hot chicken should taste like.And then I took a bite of my first Dave's chicken tender, medium-spiced, and my mind was immediately changed. It's authentic. It's complex. It probably wouldn't make the top five best hot chicken joints in Nashville, but it would probably land solidly in the top ten. And that's a HUGE compliment! The Armenian superfecta who founded this chain must have sampled the real deal in Nashville, because their product is exceptionally reminiscent of what I eat frequently in Tennessee. Well done, boys! The only letdown is that every chicken joint in the South will offer bone-in chicken breasts, and Dave's is a chicken-tender-only place. But I can respect that game plan. It works. And the fries aren't bad either.Note: Other Dave's in Greater Los Angeles have higher ratings. So what's happening here? Pay careful attention to the negative reviews bringing down the average. It's the first thing I check when scouting out a restaurant on Yelp, the reasoning behind any one-star rants. If lack of quality is fueling the public's rage, that's a red flag. But you'll notice all the low ratings are related to Internet issues, pricing, or customer service, deceiving at best. With glowing reviews for the actual food, a sub-three-star average didn't discourage me from this location. And my instincts were correct.

First timer. Big shutout to Hayle who was an absolute delight, walked me through my first DHC experience with style & grace. Everything was solid! I ordered the #4 slider spice level was hot and the tender spice level medium. Hot is the way to go, didn't taste much with medium--ordered extra pickles because yes. One thing---what's up with the sauce it doesn't really taste like much? I still ate it anyway. Wait time wasn't crazy, this location is quite busy, I will say the music was great but I felt it was just way too loud, I ended up eating on the patio. Overall 4 stars for the food 5 stars for the service! No photos to show because y'all already know what the food looks like here.

We've been wanting to try this for a while. The restaurant is very clean and the customer service was great. I got the chicken strips which come with fries, 2 pcs white bread and the special sauce. Adding honey to the sauce is really good. The seasoning reminds me of a dry rub sauce. Wasn't what I was expecting texture wise but it wasn't bad. The chicken was very tender which I enjoyed and made it easier to eat.

Service & food was amazing! Though they were experiencing some technical difficulties with the shake machine & IPOS system, they went above and beyond to guarantee our satisfaction such as providing an extra drink and pan exceptional discount! I would highly recommend this location. They won't disappoint!

I ordered Dave's #3 that comes with a slider and a tender. I ate inside but my food didn't taste as fresh as I expected. I also received the wrong spice level. It was probably a sign that I need to cut back on spicy foods so I didn't ask for my correct order. This location has two kiosk machines but you cannot apply any discount codes (you must order online or at the register). The cashier was friendly and the inside of this location was clean.

First time here. The staff were very nice. We got a combo and when we received our food I could smell it was delicious! And guess what?! It was delicious! Thank you for the crunchy and juicy chicken sandwich! The fries were crispy golden and ! I can't wait to come back!

Ok, yes, I just left another eatery. However, when I saw a DJ playing music and that Dave's Hot Chicken was open, I had to park and get out to observe this new chicken spot.Several employees were enthusiastically announcing the grand opening and distributing Dave's Hot Chicken stickers. I genuinely enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the crowd. Parking is not problematic here. There were 2 kiosks that were available. However, I chose to order at the register. I wanted to ask the employee for recommendations. She mentioned that the heat of my chicken is what varied, so I ordered #4 mild light hold the slaw added mac n cheese, not fries.The chicken was a mild hot, and the mac n cheese was a tad spicy but delicious. The spice was not that spicey, so next time, I'm climbing the ladder and going up in spice.

This location is way better than the one they had on 2nd St! This is way faster, cleaner, and better service. I appreciated the worker as they greeted us once we walked in and took our order right away. There were not a lot of people and our order came so fast! He even got us extra sauce and gave us honey when we asked. Food was hot and fresh, fries were crispy, pickles were crunchy and great flavor, bread was soft. There's a lot of seats inside and was very cool and refreshing to be inside. I would definitely be coming back to this location for their fast service.

I want to commend Aisha for her excellent customer service skills. It was my first time in your establishment and I was a bit nervous. However, Aisha was super friendly, welcoming. and knowledgeable of the menu items. I tried the Dave's Number 2 combo and it was delicious! Thank you, Ms. Aisha for an awesome new experience. She deserves a raise! I will return soon!
