Dave's Burgers

5/5! Been craving a patty melt for weeks, and dropped by Dave's while on an errand in Long Beach. I got lucky to be able to check it out! The folks working at the counter and flat top were both super great, and service was kind and efficient. The vibe was as good as it gets for a classic walk-up in a gas station parking lot. Sometimes the old fashioned things hold up the test of time for a reason- and Dave's is absolutely proof of that. Fries snuck up on me with how good they were... Got them on a whim to bring to my girl and ate half in the car while en route. Will absolutely go out of my way to swing by here again in the future. Thanks for a flawless burger!

Very small, but amazing place I found while driving through Long BeachAbsolutely great burgers Located at a 76 gas station on Atlantic and Wardlow Boulevard Very surprised at the great quality and service As soon as I stopped And ordered my food Around 4 PM in the afternoon on a weekday It suddenly got extremely busy Business people bringing their wives local people that live in the area Worth a drive to check this place out Did not disappoint at all I would highly recommend this place to anybody that enjoys a great burger

Apparently this place is iconic for anyone who grew up in Long Beach. It is a little hut located in a gas station. Don't let that fool you! A hamburger spot at a gas station must not be good. That is far from actual truth. It is AMAZING! The menu is pretty simple as you can see in the picture I added to this review. The burgers are delicious and very juicy. All ingredients put into the burger is fresh and crisp. But there fries!!!! OMG there fries are heaven sent. They are hot and ready to go. Seasoned with perfection and very yummy. I have been here more than once and I will say, it does get busy. There are only a few tables to eat there so I suggest either taking it to go or finding a nearby park to sit and enjoy your lunch.

Great location for a burger joint in the LBC. Dave's Double Cheeseburger did not disappoint. Juicy, tender, thick meat with all the fixings like lettuce, grilled onion, tomato and pickle on a sesame bun with their thousand island dressing. I think it's a great price for the quality and size of the burger. Plus you get fries and a drink. Definitely a must try if you are in the Long Beach area. There's certainly a lot of choices and competition out there for best burgers, and Dave's Burgers belongs on that list if you have a love for burgers.

This little hamburger stand, on the corner of Atlantic and Wardlow Road in Long Beach is iconic!Just pull into the service station on the corner, there are parking spots next to the picnic tables. It is a walk up window, where you place your order and pick up your freshly made sandwich. The hot dogs is made the way Hof's used to , back in the beach stand beginning....sliced long way, grilled and served on a burger bun with lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. It's a great deal, for a tasty lunch, served with a bit of nostalgia

Thought I'd stop by Dave's since my wife and I were in Long Beach for the Elite Event for the Holey Grail promotion. Gave the jumbo Cubby one more try but it didn't really change my mind. I should have asked for raw onions instead of the grilled though. That would have been better. Yeah, I should have gotten the patty melt. It's still nice to get an old fashioned basic mom and pop burger though. Fewer and fewer independent burger stands left anymore. Really tired of the chain burgers. The ladies here do a great job of making their customers feel appreciated unlike Mac's, Carl's, Jack, etc where you're just the next number in line.

Burger was very good but hot dogs were poor quality, cheap hot dogs. Everything was cooked nicely and flavorful on perfectly toasted seeded buns. The place is very busy with extremely limited parking offering outdoor seating. The owners/servers were very nice. Can see why this is a local institution.

Not much to say ... decent cheeseburger! Sadly the hot dogs are pork so couldn't try! I would say just go to in n out if you're craving a cheeseburger

This is a burger shack, literally. There's no bathroom. There are 3 picnic tables to eat at. The drinks are in a self-serve cooler. The menu is small. It's definitely divey. Their hours are pretty limited. The location is a gas station parking lot. Parking is limited and some low class people park their cars at a gas pump while they're waiting for their food, which is tacky, rude, and insensitive to others. Does this sound like the start of a good review?No, yet it is. Dave's is really good.It's normally crowded at lunch time. The two ladies working here are pleasant and they work fast. Their fries are pretty good. Their burgers are very good.I get food here once in a while when i'm getting my car washed across the intersection. As their old school clock sign boasts: it's burger time!

Friendly people and our food didn't take long to pick up. After months of driving by this place, I have finally took the time to order from here. Thank goodness we found parking near Dave's because if not we would had continued to the next burger joint.
