This is a great high-end, traditional steakhouse. My family and I have been here on many occasions, and the quality of food and service is consistently excellent. The restaurant boasts a traditional decor with two main dining areas, creating an ambiance that is both elegant and inviting. The service is impeccable; the staff are attentive and always ensure that our dining experience is nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we step through the door, we are greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and are always willing to offer recommendations and accommodate special requests. Their friendly demeanor and prompt service enhance the overall experience. The food is of high quality and consistently delicious. Each dish is prepared with care, and the flavors are exquisite. The menu offers a wide range of options, from succulent steaks cooked to perfection to fresh seafood and delectable sides. I return as often as possible and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for a superb dining experience. Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, this steakhouse consistently delivers on its promise of excellence. It is a true gem in the dining scene, and I look forward to many more memorable meals here.

I've been coming to Del Rae for over two decades, and while my last meal here was outstanding, this visit was just okay. I came for lunch, so perhaps that made a difference.Service was fine but not as attentive as I've come to expect--our empty bread basket wasn't refilled, and we were never asked if we wanted dessert. We had the seafood platter on ice, and unfortunately, the lobster and crab lacked flavor, while the oysters were just okay. The onion and tomato salad, however, was quite good. My filet was surprisingly tough--it should have cut like butter, but it didn't. And for the record, I order my steaks medium, so struggling with a steak knife wasn't a great sign. The Chilean sea bass alla Ben, which I usually love, was decent but not as exceptional as I remember. On the plus side, the cocktails were excellent. While this wasn't my best experience at Del Rae, I know they can do better and will certainly give them another try.

Another wonderful visit to this fine establishment. This time I brought the family! It was great seeing it through newbies eyes and hearing their comments. I remember my first time!Very busy Sunday early evening and the restaurant was jammed packed. We had reservations and were seated right away. Some ordered Vodka Martini's for drinks that packed a punch, generous pours and strong, excellent. Then came warm and fresh sourdough bread followed by cheesy garlic bread, we were all in bread heaven! We ordered the tableside Ceasar,.not only a fun experience but seriously the best Ceasar around! Stephen was the master preparing and explaining his art! The family was just amazed! We all ordered the center cut filets (8oz) with pepper sauce (a must) and baked potatoes. The veggie was asparagus, al dente, thick and delicious! I ordered my pepper sauce on the side, it is so good! The baked potatoes are prepared tableside as well. Another experience! The steaks were cooked to their perfect doneness as we each had ordered. Tender, juicy, tasty and the pepper sauce, just WOW!We were celebrating a birthday and the server over and over again recognized the birthday boy! Very special. He was served a Lava Cake with a lit candle! Very few places do this any more, but this Old World place still does!Service at Dal Rae is impeccable! They make you feel very special. Our server was amazing. He checked back often. At one point the manager came around to check on us as well. The reception staff and valet were also great!Parking is valet and the waits to drop off or pick up were short, on such a busy night, amazing! Efficient and very hard workers! Valet parking during evening hours is $6. What a deal!Dal Rae is one of these Old World Restaurants that transports you back in time. They haven't changed in years (other than expanding their menu) and that's a great thing! Now the family wants to come here for all special celebrations! I am in!

I had high expectations for Del Rae based on its online presence, but my experience fell far short of the five-star reputation they seem to promote. While the hostess and our server were friendly and professional, several elements of the evening left much to be desired. First and foremost, unless you are seated in the indoor dining area, you miss out on any semblance of a festive atmosphere. The bar area, with its dim lighting and loud music, is entirely unsuitable as a dining space, especially for a restaurant at this price point. Outdoor seating felt like an afterthought--it lacked any sense of decor or ambiance, more akin to dining in a neighbor's backyard than a fine steakhouse. Service timing also left much to be desired. Food sat outside in plain view until our server, who was clearly overwhelmed with a large party and a rowdy group, could bring it to our table. This delay meant that dishes arrived lukewarm at best. The baked brie had potential but was disappointingly served lukewarm, and the same could be said of the lamb chops and pork chops--decent flavor but far from the temperature and quality one expects from a steakhouse of this caliber. Ironically, the best part of the evening was not the food, but the drinks. Both the gingerbread martini and the lemon drop were exceptional, though it's unfortunate that cocktails were the highlight of what should have been a stellar dining experience at a steakhouse. Del Rae has potential, but the execution fell flat. With more attention to ambiance, better service support, and a focus on delivering hot, well-prepared food, this could have been a memorable evening. Instead, it was a disappointing one that I'm not inclined to repeat anytime soon.

Stopped by this restaurant for a team lunch and I was kind of surprised by how nice it looked inside as the outside kind of looked like the opposite. FYI, this place is valet only, so be prepared to hand your keys over. I ordered the chicken fried steak and didn't realize how salty it would be because of all the bacon that was used as a topping and maybe infused with the sauce too. If I didn't have the mashed potatoes, I don't think I could have eaten as much as I did. If the salt level was reduced, it would have definitely been more enjoyable. The staff that was helping us seemed pretty friendly though and I think it would be a nice spot to have a nice dinner or lunch, especially around the holidays as they decorated the inside.

This restaurant was recommended by my father n law. Valet parking only. Very busy place. Samantha was our server tonight she was fantastic. Cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the DineLA price fix meal. I ordered the Cesar salad, Chilean sea bass and baked potato. For desert the Pineapple upside down cake. Cheesecake was better tasting. Things I loved the bread first they bring you sourdough and breadsticks. Then they bring you garlic cheese bread which is really good. They prepared the loaded potato for you nice touch. Also the chilled forks for the salad I loved that.

Came here to celebrate my friend & i's birthday. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and fancy. We came as a walk in but reservations are recommended - luckily we didn't have to wait. FYI parking lot is valet only - it'll be hard to find street parking nearby and it's $6 (they do take card if you don't have cash). We got the sea bass, prime rib, cream corn & various forms of potatoes as sides lol.Prime rib was delicious and flavorful - really enjoyed it.Sea bass was good but I don't know, I didn't love the flavor personally.Cream corn had high potential, but i don't know if it was just ours but it was way too salty. The flavor was good though. The mashed potatoes / baked potatoes are standard.Overall I'm glad I tried this place out & it's a great place to have a nice dinner & celebrate.

This place is definately one I'd put on your list.Be aware that this place is reservation only otherwise you can order to go online and does valet parking only.Once you walk in you can tell this place is a cut above the rest as your transported back in time to a old fancy styled sit down restaurant with the low lighting, white table clothes and comfortable black booth and chair seatings. Service was amazing. From the front desk greeting, to the friendly wait staff, Del Rae's knows how to make you feel important. Ordered a Cuban sandwich with the steak fries and it was delicious! The quality of the ingredients is top notch. Will definately be back again.
