This place has been my family's go-to for many, many years whenever we want to Korean BBQ at home. The quality of their ready-to-grill meats is superb and noticeably better than what you can find at your local Korean market. Some of our favorites here are the marinated and non marinated LA Galbi, the pork belly (they have several options, but we always go with the most premium), and the chadol brisket.

Wonderful pop and son duo! I'm picky about my meats and this shop covers my checklist of what I look for in a butchershop; variety, high quality and quick service. I like that the shop is smaller than usual meat shops because other ones stock random items. This one is strictly meat and meat related items. Prices are reasonable and you get what you pay for! See you soon!

Back again for their short ribs! No msg, perfectly flavored (if you hate sweet or overly sweet Galbi like most places do then you'll appreciate it here so much)

This is our new spot for KBBQ meats. This is our best friend during the pandemic when all our fave kbbq spots are closed. Forget about H-Mart, and whatever Korean market meats. THIS place has them all beat. We went in and the guy behind the counter was helpful. We knew we for sure wanted marinated short rib and pork belly, but couldn't decide on a third meat... we usually love brisket, but he recommended kkosal and we decided to give it a chance. Every single one of these meats were so fresh and high quality; tender and flavorful. I like it much better than all the kbbq we've had outside. This haul with about 5lbs of meat and some sides cost us ~$120, but lasted us through a few meals. This easily would have cost twice as much at a restaurant. Weird thing - we had a similar order twice and one time was $100 and the other, $120... not sure why the large discrepancy so just make sure you check everything adds up. Everything was melt in your mouth good... pork belly got nice and crispy with just the perfect layer of fat. Marinated short rib is my all time fave. Highly recommend.

Forget ramen upgrades or hack videos. You wanna eat like the 1% do? Use the most ridiculously luxurious beef to adorn the Nongshim produced noodle squares. Mr. Choi (aka me) was hyped after the Parasite movie scene. Dang Asia's social media was lit with recipes already; I refuse to miss out on next level goodness any longer! Ktown here we go.Though it may appear CMM has two locations; they're independently operated and owned now. The loyalty stamp card is strictly for this location. I forgot the exact thresh hold; over several hundreds dollars and not all purchases qualify. Stamps do not rollover; so get that spending done in one calendar year.Need a shortcut? There are prepared offerings for sale too. I have shopped at every Asian meat department in LA proper; Choice cannot be beat. Don't begrudge the slight premium; I've tried alternatives and regretted it every time. Choice's offerings have that extra nom; worth!Beef: LA-kalbi. Bulgogi. Galbijim. Shabu shabu. They got you covered. I need to ask if they sell genuine Hanwoo beef. Also I've never seen shank in the case for Taiwanese braised dishes. I've tried the brisket; it's great too but Costco is an unbeatable value.Pork: They have ground fresh for me; not regularly stocked. Mostly I use the thin sliced for miso ginger pork (https://www.justonecookbook.com/miso-ginger-pork/)Croaker Fish (from Jeju): A real find! Super easy to grill / air fry; as it's already cleaned and salted. Deeerish.Oh and here's a recipe link (k-bapsang is my goto recipe site)https://www.koreanbapsang.com/jjapaguri-with-steak/

I'm a huge fan now. We were craving really good korean bbq and we decided to stop by Choice Meat Market and we got the best cut - if you know that best cut you know which one I'm talking about - it's the one where there's a square size bone and the meat rolls off of it and it's like buttery and tender. Okay enough, order now and you won't regret it. The butcher is super cool too, we waited for an hour so we got breakfast near by and he greeted us and apologized us for the wait. I posted the meat on IG and referred a few people. You are welcome!

I usually get their fresh cut oxtail bones to make my beef broth for many different type of soup and this time around for DDuck Guk for new year. Owner and the workers are very nice. If you want to become a regular customer ask for a point card. If you are tired eating Bulgogui at the restaurants yet don't want marinate by your own, their pre marinated beefs including Galbi are as close as home marinated.

The meats here are always good and the employees are always helpful! I got bored of the same cuts so I ask for recommendations and they're always so polite and recommend different varieties. I also like they have house made sauces and vegetables that go along with your home kbbq. The soy bean paste sauce goes great with the pork. The portions for the sauces and veggies are smaller and affordable so I don't have to worry about ingredients rotting in the fridge. Cannot recommend enough 10/10
