food is generally pretty good at this location. however, their price increase is ridiculous and they don't clean the tables properly and now have little gnats flying around. also the asian floor staff girls who bring the drinks and silverware are very rude. $60 for two people should include much better service and appreciation as well as a cleaner environment and kind of service. this location needs to be pretty good but it is starting to take a dive. this is not a place i would recommend. fusion sushi just pass this location on pch in torrance has really good japanese cuisine. we should have went there but i was eager for some variety.do better china buffet, you have truly just disappointed me!

It's really homey in China Buffet. You can have take out for less than ten dollars a pound for seafood, for less than nine dollars a pound for other items besides seafood. AYCE All You Can Eat. So this was nearly my OMAD One Meal A Day. I cheated and I had one piece of french toast for breakfast, one mini bowl of macaroni and cheese for lunch, and two pieces of Honey Butter Calbee Potato Chips when I got home. Haitai brand is also good, but haven't tried the Lays. Japanese; Korean; American. Calbee I got is made in the Philippines though. China Buffet is quality as well. The restaurant fits nearly 200 people, including a private banquet room. They are open for holidays, which is really nice. We had a family dinner for New Year's Eve just now and every body was just tucking in, or eating food heartily. The adventure is in the photos. Every dish was really good. Had seconds on sushi, the fried rice was very tasty and delicate. Crispy shrimps I ate with heads and tails on; I heard somewhere that's good for the body's constitution to do once in a while, and they tasted fabulous. Also mildly seasoned, the contrast of the crackling outsides with the moist insides was terrific. These made me not miss crabs (of which there were, halves of shell on mud crabs also deep fried) and lobsters (of which there were none). The string green beans were very good. Had short ribs, mushrooms, clams and mussels cooked in various savory sauces. I decided on peaches Mandarin oranges pear, a bowl with fruits and syrup, for finishing up with dessert. Had a cool raspberry iced tea, followed up by a glass of refreshing water. With the soup it's five courses, see? It just goes one two three five. What are you doing New Year's? (236)

Family gathering at China Buffet was a hit. The amount of different things is tremendous. Everything was fresh and delicious. I stuck to a mostly keto style of their offerings to try to keep it healthy. This place has been a long time family favorite.

When you're really hungry go here everything is tasty Have been and invited friends & family here to eat together when we are really hungry!

Love coming to this place. Food is great! Though, ice cream machine is not available. It's a must try. 6-11-2024

Liked that they did have a variety of food. But nothing there was outstanding. We also went there towards the end of the night, so not sure if that made a difference.

RUDE....RUDE....RUDE hostess'!!! if i'm paying $50.00 + cash tips, the customer should be able to sit anywhere they want! After all, we are adults and not kindergarteners!!! Customers are a jewel in the ruff!!! if u want to keep a sustainable business, better treat ur customers with the utmost respect and dignity!!! n.e.v.e.r c.o.m.i.n.g b.a.c.k!!!! spend ur hard-earned $$$ elsewhere, like hokkaido in long beach, ca!!!

The good:It cost $17-18 per adult for lunch. I came right at 11AM when they opened so everything was very orderly, neat, and clean. The seats were mostly all empty outside of 3 other tables. It did get more crowded around 12-1PM. They have a private room area for larger parties. Kids under 3 are free. My toddler loved the green beans and chow mein. I enjoyed the tiramisu dessert the most out of the dessert options. They had a lot of seafood options fish, shrimp, imitation crab covered in bacon, octopus, and shellfish. I thought the price was great and I definitely ate my money's worth. I enjoyed the orange chicken and honey prawns. My husband enjoyed the almond cookies. I love going to buffets with picky toddlers because you can try all sorts of things and not commit to one dish. Then, you can come back for more! You can also order takeout here by paying $8.99/lb. The interior has a traditional Chinese-feel with wooden wall features and Chinese paintings. There are booth seats along the walls. There were many sushi options and it was nicely presented.The bad:The soft serve ice cream machine was out of order so instead they had a side fridge with cup ice creams (limit 1 per customer). I didn't see any crab legs. The carpet inside is dirty and the ceiling has stains but the restaurant overall felt fine to me. They have gloves for people to use but I noticed that a lot of people didn't use it (I, however, did!). The pudding desserts tasted very artificial and weren't very enjoyable. The interesting:They have outdoor seating! I've never seen a buffet with an outdoor seating option. I am not sure what makes the place "New York style."

Honestly a hidden gem definitely coming back.Food was cooked perfectly, service was kind and quick at replacing and the ambiance was busy but comfortable.
