Used to hear great things about this place , and lately it was "it's not as good a it used to be" so we stopped in last night. Friday about 730, it wasn't very busy but a few families were there we got seated right away. It's really cute and decorated fancy, dim lights, definitely gives old Chinese restaurant. We ordered our drinks and already knew exactly what we wanted to order. We had the honey walnut shrimp Cashew chicken and beef fried rice for our party of three. The portions were large definitely enough for 2/3 some even 4!The honey walnut shrimp was yummy. I wish it had more walnuts in it or they were mixed into it with the sauce. The pieces of shrimp were large and perfectly breaded; the sauce was good too! Chicken cashew was good, wish they had a spicy option! Lots of texture but was really good. Again wish it had more than 4/5 cashews and they were mixed into the meal instead of sprinkled on top. But not a deal breaker. The star of the night besides the red sauce on the table was the beef fried rice.It was AMAZING I have a picky 10year old who is a rice connoisseur and she wanted to order one to go. The rice was perfectly cooked with a perfect balance of egg, beef and veggies! There is only a single restroom in each women's / men's And the floor throughout the restaurant is sticky, lol so other than that...Can't wait to come back.

We had an event here and it was my first time ever eating here. The rest is clean and seems bigger than I'd imagined. Staff was trying their best given how many people were there. Though they should have had coverage knowing we had booked it months in advance. Took them awhile to take drink orders and getting the glasses out for guests. The food was your typical Chinese restaurant. Super greasy and not a whole lot of flavors n my opinion. Hopefully they can re examine their menu a bit and the flavors as they were lacking. The pork was dry and noodles were greasy.

Friendly service, fast seating. The TV's were all playing news commentary and the staff turned it off around 8. HK noodles are a hit. Great prices.

We love Chen's authentic Chinese food always served hot from the kitchen. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big. Service is quick and friendly. Old school Chinese Ambiance. A Long Beach Gem.

I've ordered from here for nearly 5 years now and I still forget to take pictures. The food is always delicious and on point and the packaging is pretty good. My go to faves are the Shrimp Fried Rice, the BBQ Spare Ribs, the salt and pepper chicken wings, honey walnut glazed shrimp, the beef and broccoli, the wonton soup, just to name a few.Point being, the food here is fantastic and is always consistent and not a bad price. Recommend to everyone looking for tasty Chinese Food.

Do you love brown soy oil sauce?! I am so disappointed in how far Chen's has gone downhill. After being an old fan, it's been a few years since we've gone. We ordered the family meal with the Sweet & Sour soup, General Tso's chicken and the King Pao triple with beef, chicken & shrimp. We also ordered the "bbq pork" lo main. ALL FOUR MAIN DISHES HAD THE EXACT SAME BROWN OILY SAUCE. Generally Tso chicken is not supposed to be brown! Kung pao chicken is not supposed to be brown. The BBQ pork was brown drenched in the oily soy sauce sauce. It was utterly disgusting. The only meat that was tolerable was the breaded / fried chicken. The beef was not eatable. I felt sick afterwards because of how oily everything was. Will not return.

Horrible ,used my credit card for payment on to-go order . David the register clerk claimed charge did not go through... which it did : showed him bank posting & he spoke with my bank representative- he refused to to document that no service was provided by Chen's .. Police called - I have a report, I am currently fighting fraudulent charges by Chen's through my bank.., BEWARE!!!

They used to be good, but the order I just got is going straight in the trash. How is that pork fried noodles??? The assorted appetizers were cold and greasy. The eggplant tasted like bad orange chicken. I thought this would be a delicious treat but I'm just trying not to throw up.
