If I had to describe Charley's its like a sandwich spot 10x better than Subway. Let's not get it twisted either, these aren't what you would call gourmet sandwiches or anything but it definitely gets the job done in the best way possible. I used to go to their Signal Hill location all the time growing up with my family but unfortunately they closed so I have to commute just a little farther to Lakewood Mall to satisfy my cravings.I don't usually ever go to the mall for a specific meal but for Charley's i'll go through the trouble. The Chicken California is my go-to with a side of bacon cheese fries. It always seems to hit the spot. If you're ever within the Lakewood mall looking for a good bite give Charley's a shot, you won't be disappointed.

This was my first time eating here and it was delicious. I ordered the Bacon Chipotle chicken sandwich, and everything really tasted good. I also got the strawberry lemonade, and I wish I got peach because the peach was better. Arnold took me and my fiancés order, and he was a really cool and helpful person. The eating area was clean, the food came out hot and I enjoyed every minute of my experience. I will be back!!!

1/13/23 HERE's The Scoop: Their bags say "WE CATER" --I'm wondering who's asking them to cater what!? Their boxes that the Philly goes in say "CRAVE QUENCH" --I'm wondering who is craving this!? Then after I begin to eat my food - I'm wondering why on EARTH didn't you look at the reviews first!!! The girl (Alexandria V Garcia) who took my order needs an attitude adjustment --I ignored it. The (2) guys working on the food need to learn how to season. The meat was so bland - I mean it tasted like nothing! The bread had some Mayo while the other side of the bread had nothing and was DRY. They put their fries in a cup like Five Guys -- I'd have to say the fries were the best tasting thing I had. So that speaks VOLUMES about this establishment. MY ORDER: Chicken Philly, Fries, Sprite. Paid almost 20 dollars - smh and I REGRET it!Didn't take a picture because it wasn't picture worthy! (It's a new year --in 2023 and beyond I'm not wasting my time taking pictures on food that's SUBPAR, NOPE -- just sayin') IN CLOSING: NO I DON'T Recommend and WILL NOT RETURN.

This was not bad for being mall food! It was actually more delicious than the super popular cheesesteak place in Hollywood. The pricing was okay and the portion size was good. The only thing that sucked about this place were the employees. Awful.

Was at the mall and Charleys sounded good. Basically they have a variety of cheesesteaks, fries and lemonades that stand out. I ordered the cheesesteak with everything on it. You can walk down the counter and see your food being made from beginning to end until they call your order. Their fries are really good and they put them in a cup. I like the hot sauce they provide, it goes well with the cheesesteak. Refills on sodas are free. Overall, it's a fun place to go and food that is fun as well.

Overall, I don't recommend Charleys Cheesesteaks to anyone. It's clear that this restaurant is dedicated to providing the worst possible experience for its customers, and I will never come back again.It was a terrible experience. From the moment I walked in, I saw angry manager who was not happy to help me. The atmosphere was dirty, off-putting, and uncomfortable, making it the worst spot for a meal.
