Cafe Bonaparte - Redondo Beach

A perfect stop for a beach afternoon. There's something for everyone here! That's whether you want a snack, a sweet treat, a sandwich, or an entree. The kabob plate is particularly good. The staff are really nice! It's also a great place to grab a quick coffee. It's like a block from the beach. Bonaparte is an ideal food stop for your beach day.My favorites are the chicken kabob plate and the fruit plate. Everything is delicious. I have brought various Bonaparte shareables to parties with great success!

On a cold and drizzly day, the atmosphere at Cafe Bonaparte was warm and inviting. It was our first time here. My caprese sandwich was deliciously flavorful! The side of greens would have been better if it included tomatoes. My husband's side of turkey and rice soup was a perfect choice on a good day. I wish the side of soup was a little bigger- it was gone entirely too fast. My husband said that his turkey sandwich was "good, but not great." We finished our meal with the Chocolate Fantasy cake. Honestly, it was just ok - a normal chocolate cake about the size of the palm of your hand.The atmosphere was intimate and inviting. The service was quick and accurate. Overall, we will be back.

Good food from the salads to the paninis to the desserts, but overpriced and service is slow - always courteous, but always slow. (Typically a 20min wait during lunch, even if not busy).

That Lady and I are refugees from the Palisades Fire and ended up staying a friend in PV. After three days of hospitality we had to move on, but before we left we took our hostess out for breakfast. We found Cafe Bonaparte on a side street, a day earlier. Having sampled some Parisian-style pastries we wanted to try their bakery. Well their Creations are wonderful. Their croissants, twists and brioche are incredible. They have various toasts, the ladies went fort salmon toast and I enjoyed a prosciutto omelette with a small side salad and brioches. They have a full coffee bar and superb Italian espresso machine. Seating inside and patio . It has the feel of a modern cafe in France. Enjoy

"Parisian cafe with a coastal California breeze" is their slogan and I think it's a pretty good way to describe this 'subtle' fusion creation.Taste. Everything we tried tasted very good.Service. Was excellent, even though it looks like a order at the counter no-service set up, the servers came by and chatted with us, making sure we have things we wanted, sun/wind wasn't bothering us, etc.Portions/presentation. For people like larger portions, this is the place to go! Everything was larger than 'normal' which is great.We had a dog and sat outside, it was very pleasant and dog-friendly.

Gorgeous French bakery with a range of sweet and savory breads and cakes as well as larger breakfast fare. Every pastry looks beautiful and with such a huge selection it's hard to decide. The coffee is great too and stays on theme. I ordered a cafe au lait and, without being too expensive, really evoked memories of my mornings in Europe. I came on a slower Sunday morning, but the service was tip top, with the attendant ready to help with selections and walk me through the menu. This is a new location with one other store located in the heart of Hermosa Beach. Honestly, I enjoy this location more with it being easy to access without fighting beach tourism traffic. I'll be coming here again!

Absolutely beautiful !! This little cafe was walking distance from Redondo Beach and (thankfully) the only cafe I could find open in the area on Christmas Day. I was sooooo surprised the loveliness of the interior and the selection of baked goods they had. I got an iced coffee, croissant, and chocolate croissant. I really enjoyed the chocolate croissant a lot! Hope to visit again soon next time I'm in town! Food recs: chocolate croissant

Such a pleasant local cafe!! They have outdoor seating which is such a plus with the nice weather! I tried a cappuccino with oat milk which was delicious and an apple croissant which was my fave! The jalapeño ham and cheese croissant was also good!The staff is super nice as well!

visited on a sunday with a girlfriend after brunchwe both were craving something sweet! cafe bonaparte has been on my list and we were around the corner so it all worked outsuch a cute and clean cafe! tons of seating indoor and outtheir pastries!!! .... oh geez i wanted to take everything home. they offer sweet and savory items! my review is just on the items in the case i ended up getting the hazelnut cakeits on the smaller side of a slice and i prefer something sweeter. but over it was very tasty! i had my eye on the almond chocolate croissant, so i will def be back soon to try it out and also want to try their food itemsservice was good, the gal was able to tell us the top picks out of each display case parking: street, metered and not metered

Whenever there is a french cafe, i have been more inclined to check out.Service: You can either sit down and they will serve your or you can go to the counter and they can bring it to you. Ambiance: Relatively small spot where you can maybe fit two parties of 6 and a couple of two seaters. You can eat outside too since it is near the beach. Food: the food, the reason why you can come to any cafe is the food. I was reading my bible while enjoying a bacon and egg crossant sandwich. ( you can get on wheat toast if you prefer). I got a vanilla latte as well. Coffee presentation was just your typical plastic cup. I hope next time they can serve it in a glass if served here. Delish none the less. Then the sandwich it self was a lot bigger than i thought which is always great. The french is known for their bread and pastries and it did not disappoint. I was bragging to my friend when you get good food, you are in a good mood. Parking: paid parking on the street. Overall amazing, friendly service and great breakfast meal that I had. Breakfast is served until 2pm.
