I LOVE this place and every time I come to Brea I stop in for great food and drinks. The restaurant is family-owned and has a dedicated parking lot that does get full, but there is always street parking as backup.The chips and salsa...omg, YES!!! I love that they bring two salsas, one hot and one medium, without asking. I ordered the wet chili verde and was not disappointed. I also ordered a skinny margarita, which was, again delicious.It's a casual local restaurant that you will love.

Nine years since my last review here. We've been there several times since, always good. Friends were here last week, said something changed, not as good. We thought we'd make up our own minds about that.And I guess it was changed. My wife and I both thought the food was just blah. I had shredded beef tacos. Mine at home are much better. She had a tamale and enchilada combo. Her tamale was unusual, not like she'd ever had before. She didn't care for it. Really she didn't each much of her dinner at all. We both had a Cadillac Margarita. I did not like mine. It was off. Dinner for two plus tip was $84. That's crazy when rice and beans are over half the plate. Service was great though. I will say that.

This is a chill little Mexican restaurant and bar. I'm happy we tried it out! The servers were friendly and warm and the food was pretty good! I ordered the carne asada fajitas and they were flavorful and was a decent amount of food. My husband had the enchiladas rancheras and was satisfied with those. We'll definitely be back soon this place passes the vibe check

I absolutely love this restaurant. Well tonight we walked back to the bar and had a drink then since we were at a table in the bar section and watching different sporting events on the t.v. sets we decided to just stay where we were and have our dinner right there. I only wish I would have taken a picture of our food but it looked so good that a picture of it was the last thing on my mind at the time. Anyway, I ordered a combination plate of a chili rellano and a chicken enchilada with rice and beans. The person I was with ordered a carne asada wet burrito w/green sauce also with rice and beans. The portions were decent, the food was delicious, the service was good and the price was fair at around seventy something dollars for the two of us plus our drinks. The next time you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food try Cabo Grill you won't be sorry that you did.

Small corner bar and restaurant. The bar is cozy. The lights were off and the fans were going- it felt good. I had chips, salsa and a shredded chicken burrito. It was decent, with beans and chicken and cheese. The black beans came in a little bowl and they were good. I sat in the bar and Jenn, the bartender provided great service. She checked on me every so often and kept my iced tea full. I will return to try taco Tuesday or a cocktail next time.

The food is so tasty. The service is amazing! The restaurant is well designed and bright. It's also comfortable and homey.

I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants but was pleasantly surprised that this place serves one of the best fajitas and seafood enchiladas. I can only compare this to other SoCal Mexican restaurants since I have not eaten in Mexico or South America. That being said, I really enjoyed my experience at Cabo and will definitely come back here again next time. This is a great place to chill after work and take advantage of their happy hour. The restaurant itself is quite big and can accommodate large parties. It is worth driving out of your way just to come here because their food is super flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend!!

I came here with a huge party (like 20 ish people) and they put together tables for us. The waiters were a bit slow to get to us so there was a lot of waiting time between sitting, taking orders, and getting food. I shared a two item combo plate with my friend and we ordered the shredded pork enchilada and shredded chicken taco. The taco had a kinda hard shell and the things in the taco was really bland. I needed to add a lot of sauce to make it not so dry and taste like something. I liked that you can choose the sides it comes with. We also got the fries and chicken fingers platter from the kids section. The fries were really good and the chicken was a bit hard but still good.

Great Mexican food, good service, adequate parking, and affordable prices. A little noisy, but worth it.
