Richard N. "Fun Middle Eastern Experience.....Pros: Excellent food. Big menu. Very friendly service.Cons: Parking can be tough during weekend eveningsStar Ratings:- Overall: 5- Location: 4- Ambiance: 4- Menu: 5- Food Quality: 5- Food Portions: 5- Service: 5- Price: 5- Value: 5- Parking: 3My wife and I were in the eastern suburbs of Los Angeles during the Veterans Day weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday in the family. On Saturday night, 9 of us went to a long time favorite restaurant in the heart of Fullerton.....Les Amis. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- Location: Central. Right in the core of downtown Fullerton (which is also a con...see below).- Menu: Large. Les Amis bills itself as "Lebanese", but the menu had lots of Middle Eastern favorites from areas outside Lebanon.- Quality of Food: Excellent. My wife and I had the "Mediterranean Shrimp" platter ($31) which they describe as "skewers of shrimp with vegetables in a cayenne pepper, lemon zest marinade and garlic butter sauce accompanied by hummus, pita bread and side salad". It looked and tasted as good as it sounds.I don't know what other members of the family had, but everyone seemed satisfied. The table shared 2 plates of a dessert called "Chocolate Biscuit" ($9) which was pudding inside a soft biscuit served in bite sized pieces. It was mighty good.- Service: Very friendly. The owner's family took care of our large table and were always around to help out.- Atmosphere: Casual and popular. Most of the tables in the main room and large outdoor patio were occupied during our 90 minute meal. Nice vibes.- Parking: Plenty when it's not busy. Not much on a weekend evening.Cons:- Location: About a block from the Times Square of Fullerton which means the location is easier to find than parking on weekends.....even though there's a big lot right behind the restaurant.- Parking: See above. It just depends on the day and time.Overall, Les Amis is a fine choice for Middle Eastern food with a focus on Lebanese specialties."

Julia A. "I was in Orange County for work today, and I always struggle finding healthy places to eat when I travel for work. I googled "healthy vegan food near me" and this place popped up. It was heaven sent! The moment I walked in, I saw healthy drinks that they sell at Erewhon and Whole Foods, so I knew right away this place was going to be good. A young employee named Christine helped me figure out what to order, as I asked for suggestions on something healthy and not fried. She was so sweet! The dish I ordered was light but very tasty. The tofu melted in your mouth. The shrimp was made out of a root vegetable. The flavors were delicious. I didn't feel bloated or heavy afterwards. I took some leftovers home (that's how good it was). She said there's a location in Reseda closer to where I live, and I hope it's just as yummy with a clean vibe. Will definitely be back and strongly recommend for anyone who wants delicious, healthy vegan food."

I always get the smallest size because its honestly more than enough and they pack it!! The young ladies are always friendly and greet me right away. Its located inside the hangar closest to the parking lot side with the turf grass."

The staff was super friendly and the chefs in the back were throwing down in that kitchen!. Every order that came out had me wanting to change my own order. It was such a good vibe inside. Folks enjoying their meals with family and friends. Let us know, how good the food was. I will definitely be back. The vibe alone is a positive."

Kris E. "I don't know who gave this guy the right to be so talented but holy smokes this place is good. The rolls are so flavorful and textured, and the presentation is always beautiful, especially when you dine in. This is my favorite place to bring non-vegans because they're always so impressed. My vegan-skeptical dad keeps asking when we're going back and my ex tells me he still thinks about this place. Plus the prices are affordable and the owner-operator is so nice. It can take a while to get the food because he's a one-man show but it's worth it!"

I can taste the use of coconut milk in the mint chip and I loved the addition of cinnamon in the cookies and cream. We didn't even know it was vegan too. The gentleman at the counter was so friendly and nice. I'll go back for sure!I dig the Tupac theme too!"

We also always order the cheese curds because they are just so addictive! The only item I don't care for is the Smash Cristo - a burger/Monte Cristo sandwich hybrid."

Marcus T. "The banh mi sold here are LOADED. I was born and raised vegetarian in OC so I have tried every vegan/vegetarian establishment up and down the coast. Usually I am the only vegetarian friend in the group so I'm use to ordering what I call the "pity" selection, the ones they throw on the menu for the rare occasion there are vegetarians in the ordering party, at other sandwich spots (Cali, Lees, etc). Since this is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant their banh mi are the real deal for a reasonable price. I noticed some other reviews mentioning the price increase but if you compare it to what you would get elsewhere, it is a very good deal. The faux meats alone are very pricey in terms of raw cost. Vegans should already know this from their grocery shopping experiences and if you have ever worked in food service you know that margins are extremely low.Speaking of grocery shopping they stock frozen goods here! Brands from all over including the ones imported from Taiwan, a newer one from Vietnam named "Au Lac", plant-based pate from Germany, it's quite a big selection. As far as service, they are a smaller restaurant so it's unrealistic to expect a mom&pop to hire a lot of overhead for the rare instances that they get really busy. They try their best and I actually like that they take their time with each order (the wait isn't that long tbh), the food is consistent every time. Just call in the order if time is of the essence. Of course the restaurant menu items are delicious as well, I just figured I would focus on the banh mi since there aren't many like them around. 10/10 from a lifelong vegetarian"

Gretchen R. "We had a great experience ordering food for take out from Orange Curry. We went into the shop not knowing much and taking up a lot of their time trying to decide what to order. They never tried to rush us and were super accommodating and polite, offering us samples from the steam table. We ordered many different items: aloo gobi (cauliflower potato), palak paneer (spinach cheese), chicken tikka masala, daal (lentils), goat curry, rice, naan. Everything tasted really good! Some a little more spicy (palak paneer) than others but not bad really and a mild/medium on the spice scale. Pro tip: add sour cream or plain yogurt and it pairs so well while toning down the spice.Orange Curry is a great way to try Indian food if you're new to it since they offer samples. It's also great for take out since the portions are huge! and there's limited seating (3 tables). Mango Lassi (mango yogurt smoothie) is so good. Super filling so share with another person of you won't be able to eat your dinner!"

Andrew H. "Wow, I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw a Vegan Mexican joint opened up in the West Side of Long Beach but boy was it good! When you look at the menu itself, it doesn't at all scream Vegan--they have all the dishes you'd expect and even a breakfast menu; there are plenty of proteins to choose from none of which are animal-based but do resemble respective meat choices. The menu also details what's in everything so you know what you're getting. I opted to try a carne asada burrito and I honestly wouldn't have known it was not meat! It's like some kind of magic trick. It had just the right amount of spice and kick to it and was super flavorful. There's a sauce drizzle on the outside of the burrito so just keep in mind you'll probably have to eat it with a fork and knife unless you like getting your hands very dirty (possibly you could ask not to have it if you want to eat it with your hands?).It can be a bit on the pricier side but I think that's to be expected when creating Vegan food at this level of flavor and quality of ingredients. The burrito was pretty filling though, I was super full after just half so you could definitely make 2 meals out of it which balances the price out a bit.The inside of the restaurant is super cute and looks brand new, service is really friendly and food came out pretty fast for a to-go order. Regardless of dietary restrictions, PlanTita's Kitchen is definitely worth checking out!"

Tiffany O. "Pretty solid acai bowls and I love the ability to customize. I've been here twice already and plan to come back again.Atmosphere: Clean space with a few tables and seats inside. I've come during the weekend a random times so it's never been too busy and I've been able to eat in. Food: Have mainly come here for the bowls. The size options are small, medium and large. With the small, you can choose up to three bases, and with the medium and large you can choose up to five bases. I've tried the acai, the blue majik, and the coconut. All are pretty solid and have their own distinct flavors. They have a thicker, smoothie-like consistency. Once you choose your bases and they make the bowl with them, you get to choose your granola, fruit, dry toppings and sauces. They have a wide variety to choose from so it's pretty cool (and can be overwhelming) to have a ton of options. All the toppings were pretty fresh and I had no complaints about what I chose. Some issues I ran into were that some bases were out by the time we got there, but it's nothing to really write home about.Service: Friendly. The first time we went they were attentive and helped out immediately, and the second time we went they were a little slower to get to us (they were messing with the music and chatting a bit). It appears a lot of the workers are young folks/teens, so I get it, lol. Overall though, I've never had a bad encounter with the staff here."

Oh, another great staple is their fried rice. It's a small place with a few tables inside and it seems like a family affair with maybe one in the front one in the back cooking. I called Thai Gulf for take-out on the way home from work for an order of the Massaman curry, a side of roti, crab fried rice and pad Thai- all medium spicy. I was really impressed with the curry! Deep, rich curry flavor in a creamy sauce- perfect for dunking the roti bread in! The crab fried rice was a huge hit with the family as well and you can never go wrong with pad Thai. Tip- if you like extra spice, just add for extra chilis and fish sauce on the side! Definitely a favorite take out or eat in place for Thai"
