"Maybe my taste has expanded or it was the move but I don't really care for the rolls here anymore. They were falling apart and not as flavorful as I remembered. There was too much rice, rice overwhelmed both rolls. I loved this place in S Mart but I don't think it's worth the drive. The prices are reasonable but not as reasonable as previously which is understandable. The service was friendly and the rolls came out quickly. I wish they were as good as I remembered them to be. I know sometimes the chef can mismake the rolls so I may try again but only when I'm in the area."
"Their menu is extensive and lots of good appetizers. The quality of the fish is superb . The rolls are so tasty, sushi are so amazing, the price are fair. What I got was completely justifies the prices. The only thing last time I was there the oysters not really fresh I like usually. The atmosphere is very chill and comfortable,Service was incredible . A lot of parking! ."

"AYCE selection is so yummy and fresh.Service is good and very helpful. Lots of varieties that you can choose. The place is kinda small and they are pack. This is our 1st time visiting this year. Will coma back"
"Seems like this place is only for take-out. There are plenty of parkings around the area. There are bunch of chairs to sit and wait. The place is loud, the lady misheard the order number and didn't get the correct orders, but the food here is not bad."
"I came here for my birthday, and I was very delighted by the dishes! Tips:- Their wait staff isn't the most attentive, so I would work hard on flagging them down.- Waiting can be a PAIN on weekend nights. I highly suggest making a reservation a week in advance, or coming in half an hour early to be the first on the waitlist. I was second, and had to wait an hour and a half just to be seated.- If you plan to come with a large party, expect to have the exact number, because seating indoors is always packed!- Bar seating will get you in much faster, but you can only order off the sushi menu. Still worth it if you don't plan to buy any of the bowls. If you can make it through these hurdles, I'd say the food is very much worth the price. The ramen and chirashi bowls (both premium and non-premium) may seem pricey, but are definitely shareable between two people. The quality of their fish is so fresh that the price justifies it."
"Super authentic Japanese spot with great sushi and bowls. It's very popular and there may be a wait, so I recommend calling in advance. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My boyfriend's dinner chirashi came with so much food! It's a little expensive but totally worth it."
"First time at Show Sushi, and wow the service was great and the sushi was fresh! The oysters were freshly shucked with tobiko and sriracha on top. 5/5 don't skip the lemon ;)Sashimi and nigiri combo 5/5 so fresh and tasty. Love the marinated salmon and toro! !Seaweed salad was a bit skimping but it was still good 4/5They gave us two freebies on the house which was awesome and the service always checked in on us consistently. Lovely employees, thank you! For all of this food it was $210 before tip. Will be coming back when I'm in the area!"
"We've been here four separate times and had amazing food and service. While you order from a kiosk at the table, everything comes out quickly and hot. We had to be careful to not over order because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Some items were a little repetitive, but that can be avoided by looking at the pictures or reading the descriptions. Lots of options at a great price point. The fish was good quality and we felt we ate our values worth.Drink assortment limited and I did want hot green tea, but only a minor over sight.Great place but be mindful of the wait. The room usually turns all at once so if you time it wrong you'll be waiting a bit for something to open up."
"Consistently amazing sushi and quick service. Love ordering take out as it never disappoints. 10/10 great sushi!"
"Location: 2nd street, corner spot facing the major Street. It has a big "at" character, naturally lol Menu: sushi, rolls, carpaccio, udon, salads, few skewer selections, beers, sashimi, miso soup We pigged out and there were no regrets. I can't remember everything but we got aloha roll, "spring" roll, blue fin carpaccio, sheseido peppers, cucumber crab salad, sushi, and beersThis place did everything very well. Very content. Parking: street Seating: mainly indoor seating but I think I saw a few spots on the patio. Good for smaller groups like 2-4. But I can see a group of 6+ could still fit."
"Passed by the center and saw the signs for Thai food and Sushi and decided to gove it a try. Came here after volleyball for lunch and was happy they had dine-in lunch specials available everyday (including weekends!) from 11:30am-2:30pm. Got the Sashimi Lunch Box with 7 pieces for $20. It includes Chef's Choice sashimi served with cucumber and seaweed salad, gyoza (3 pieces), miso soup, and California Roll or Tuna Cut Roll (5pcs). It was a good spread and variety of food and filled me up. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambience was pretty nice with comfy booth seating (see pics below). Overall content with the taste of the food and plan to put this restaurant in my rotation thanks to the lunch specials."
"Ordered delivery. Crispy Rice was a huge disappointment. Like freeze dried, rock hard rice. All else was tasty and enjoyed. We would have preferred more chopsticks included along with additional sauce packets/condiments. Shishitos were WONDERFUL. SPICY EDAMAME were WONDERFUL. Rolls were nice. Would order again."

UPDATE (01/2024): My husband and I ordered two of our usuals today--the baked salmon roll and the stinky roll--and were met with some disappointment. The quality of the rolls has gone downhill. Visually and taste-wise, they were different and not in a good way. Someone mentioned here on Yelp that they recently changed management, and it shows in their food.* Baked salmon roll - It's usually moist and baked with a nice layer of sauce. Salmon is typically pretty thick too, like 1 cm. Today, it was dry and they really skimped on the salmon. Each slice of salmon was super thin that it might as well have been a baked CA roll...no thanks. I was super disappointed with this tonight.* Stinky roll - When I first opened this up, I noticed that it looked different. The roll seemed more disorganized and there looked to be fewer pieces of fish. Husband had this one and said it tasted cheaper in quality overall. For the price, we may still get it occasionally if we are really craving cheap sushi, but the now lower quality and taste in their sushi may no longer justify buying it here as often.

Best bang for your buck in this economy! They don't have any dine-in seating, so it's take out only. We usually get their lunch specials for the best deals (although their regular menu are extremely affordable already). They have a couple of options, but our go-to is the: Lunch Special A (chicken teriyaki with 1 spring roll, 2 gyozas, and a side salad) for only $6-$7. If we're feeling sushi, we usually opt for one of their combos with comes with soup and salad as well. Some tips:- Lunch specials are "all day, everyday," and it's a little menu taped to the counter near the register. You won't find it on the menu hung up, so search around on the photos tab their yelp page and you might find a picture from someone. - Call ahead to order and avoid the wait!

Amazing Experience at O Toro Sushi in IrvineO Toro Sushi in Irvine is hands down one of the best sushi spots around! The service here is consistently outstanding--always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The quality of the food is top-notch, with incredibly fresh cuts that never disappoint.Whether it's the lunch specials or the dinner Omakase, every visit is a delight. The lunch specials are a great value, and the Omakase experience is perfect for a special night out with friends. We continue to come back time and time again because of the unbeatable combination of excellent food, warm service, and a great atmosphere.Highly recommend this spot to any sushi lover--you won't be disappointed!

Sushi Koto is definitely one of my favorite spots for sushi in Orange County! I've tried lots of other OC sushi restaurants, but my family and I always come back here. Their chirashi bowls are definitely a must try! The ingredients are so fresh and flavorful, for a reasonable price relative to other sushi restaurants in the area. The portions for their other menu items can be a bit small, but I've enjoyed every dish that I've tried. The restaurant is small but spacious. We generally get seated right away and the service is quick and friendly. I genuinely look forward to dining here every time we decide to go! Such a great small business to support. :)

Quality! Came in late on a weekday and ordered 10pc sashimi - 2 anago, 2aji, 2kanpachi, 2hotate, and 2negihamachi. Quality definitely blew me away. One of the best anago Ive ever had. Slices were very fatty and tender and delicate. Hard to find anago outside of omakase and it's usually very expensive.Saba is usually a little fishy so I go for aji which although less, still has a delicate briny taste. None of that here. And super tender as well. Also another item only on omakase or usually expensive.Nice slices of kanpachi with oily mouth feel. Very fresh.Hotate was great too. Definitely quality. On the sweeter side which is good.Negihamachi was good except too much scallion. Could do with a little less. Also a little on the cold side. All the cuts with the exception of the negihamachi were a nice room temp - flavor and texture and freshness amazing all around. Staff was very amiable. Definitely coming back.

One of the best sushi spots for AYCE. I drive to Torrance quite frequently with family members and friends to enjoy Blufish. Their all-you-can-eat pricing is so reasonable and the quality if fantastic. Their customer service is always top-notch and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. We are regulars and each time they get so excited to see us. There have been a few times when it's overwhelming busy but they are still able to accommodate as many people as possible. I have learned to come during certain times when its not as busy as I enjoy it being not so crowded. However as more and more people discover this place it will continue becoming busy.At first glance it looks like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The parking lot is very compact and they are tucked away on the side. Once inside its a dark ambiance and there isn't a huge seating area. However it works for the restaurant and hopefully one day they decide to expand or open up more locations.

"I would say this is pretty good compared to the other conveyor belt sushi places (like Kura). First off, the parking lot is a little bit small so you may have to fight for parking or park on the street. It seems like there was alot of street parking available. The staff were incredibly friendly, the host let us know that the wait would be10 minutes, but when it went over she came outside and apologized profousely. Very sweet. When we sat down at the bar, the sushi chef was friendly and let us know that he could make us anything we want as long as they had the fish available. As for the sushi itself, I was surprised by how good the salmon nigiri was! And, unlike other places, the rolls that they had available on the conveyer were actually better than those basic rolls (aka regular philadelphia roll or california roll). Our bill for four people who ordered 2 sodas and one Saporro, ate 16 plates, and one order of sweet shrimp ended up being $120 (before tip). All in all, I would go back and highly recommend. FYI, we went on a Friday night at 7 PM, and there was barely a wait."
"Good service makes great food! I believe that the service can make or break a restaurant experience. This place is a cute and intimate restaurant located in a strip mall across from the Bingo place. The fish was fresh and the servings generous. Highly recommend."
"My brother-in-law from Missouri was in town for business. He texted "is my office anywhere near your house?". Turns out he was 5 minutes away. I picked him up after work and asked what CA cuisine he wanted. He picked sushi. I was trying to find somewhere cool and this place was near the beach and had great reviews. We walk in the door and a stench punches us in the face. It smelled so bad in here I was instantly embarrassed and whispered to my wife "lets go somewhere else". My brother-in-law said "nah, it just smells like somebody burnt something" so we stayed. Unlike every single other person who walked in the door we were ignored and stood there until somebody realized we weren't leaving and sat us. Our waiter didn't seem interested in serving our table either. Every other customer they yelled out greetings and treated them like stars. This is why I can't give the place 5 stars.Food though was 5 stars all the way. For being from Missouri my brother in law was a sushi pro. He ordered a sashimi bowl. He was very specific on what type of fish he wanted and the waiter kept arguing saying "it's chef's choice" he said "well, this is the choice he's going to make". Again, service was very odd here compared to the treatment other tables were getting. The bowl that arrived was a work of art. Beautiful presentation of different fish. We were all amazed. He loved it.I ordered the happy hour special. The description was you picked three different rolls and got a smaller portion of them, miso soup, salmon skin salad, and a drink. The waiter carries out this gigantic wooden structure and I'm thinking "wow, that must be a family platter". He then sits is down in front of me, it's my happy hour special! Damn! This was HUGE. Three beautiful rolls and all three tasted totally different. Most places these days everything tastes like a CA roll slathered in sauce. These all tasted distinct. The glutton I am I devoured my entire family platter. The salmon skin salad was the best I've had and I'd come back just for that! Other tables were getting these giant wooden staircase looking things that sushi was placed on. Presentations here were works of art. My wife ordered a salmon philly roll, some gyoza, and veggie tempura. She also enjoyed her meal.Besides the initial stench and the really bizarre service we all had a great time and enjoyed our food. I would definitely come back to try more things. The beautiful presentation alone is worth the trip."
"Saturday night date night led us to Kobe Steakhouse, and it was the perfect spot for drinks and a little something to eat. The restaurant offers a variety of dining options--a bar area, a lounge, regular dining tables, and the fun experience of a chef cooking your food right in front of you. We made a reservation for the lounge but arrived early and started at the bar. Despite being busy, the bartender quickly got our drink order in.When it was time to move to the lounge, we were impressed by the two waitresses who managed the area--they were fantastic! They took our food and drink orders promptly, ensured we always had water, and were attentive throughout the evening. The music was lively, and the vibe was energetic. People were up and dancing (despite there not being an official dance floor), and we happily joined in! The atmosphere was so much fun, and we had a great time. We'd definitely come back. While the prices are comparable to most places these days, sharing a plate, enjoying a strong drink, and soaking in the lively energy makes for a great night out!"
"Convenient location, easy to order.I hear their sushi is good, but I love their Korean wings! Unfortunately, the wings do not love my stomach! They are so saucy that I just can't handle them. I might be back for sushi though!"
"This was a great find. We were driving around looking for a place to eat and this place came up. Although it had some bad reviews (one being particularly recent), we decided to give it a shot anyway. We were very surprised by a few things:- the thickness of the sashimi cut (see photo)- the lack of rice in the nigiri (generally at AYCE, they'll pack on rice to get you full quicker)- the promptness of service (one of the recent reviews highlighted the terrible service)- the quality of the fishWe're looking to come back and this time with more people and a bigger appetite."
"My experience was great at this restaurant. In 10 mins from my house. 1 tiny error and was corrected withint 2 minutes.Service was 100% the bestFood was 100% delicious Drinks was 100% priced greatThis place gets a 10/10By standards of Public Health with a grade "A".Keep up the great work.Danny Aguilar"
"Love love love this place! Best fatty tuna a girl can have! I highly recommend this spot! Ask for server Mod she's great!"
"If you love noodles as much as I do, you have to put this place on your bucket list. Their noodles are rich with flavor. By the time you finish your noodles, your bowl would be completely empty, too.Let talk about this location. Parking is on the side of the building, pretty compact, and can get quite busy, so expect to park in the street. It is well worth the visit. The interior of the restaurant has a warm feeling to it, quite roomy from bar seating to regular tables seating. If it is busy, seating at the bar is good too. You can watch them prepare the sushi art work, pretty cool. They have quite a selection of food to choose from, but if you undecided, just try their noodles or fried rice special. You can't go wrong with that. What I usually order is:1. Boat Noodles Soup $14.99Noodle soup with beef, meat balls, beef stewed, and vegetables.2. Spicy Chicken Wings $15.99Fried chicken wings marinated with spicy special Thai sauce.3. Fireworks Roll $16.99Inside shrimp tempura and spicy tuna, top with seared tuna , sliced jalapeno, togarashi seasoning, and sweet ponzu sauce.I do switch things up but I always get their noodles, its a must for me. If you're like me, I tend to put Sriracha on everything, I suggest you dont ask for it here cause that's not thai spice. They have their own spice. LolThis place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience.P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!"
"Nice little restaurant and friendly service. Quick weekday dinner, the food satisfied our sushi craving. I forgot the names of the roll...I think one of them was the La Mirada roll, nevertheless all of them were delicious and I would order them again."
"I used to come here all the time with my parents and siblings, but forgot out this place. My fiance and I actually came to Tozai plaza to go to the sushi place next door (one of our faves), but as we were walking up-- noticed their health score was a "B". We turned around and I asked him if we could have lunch here at Tampopo. Everything was great. The sushi was fresh, the hot rolls came out HOT and not overcooked. The servers were attentive. There wasn't too many people inside, it was about half full on a Wednesday afternoon. We enjoyed all of the food we ordered. Everything was tasty. I would recommend this place for family/friends to come to."
"For AYCE sushi this is the place to go! The fish quality compared to other AYCE places is truly top notch here. They have a limited on sashimi but otherwise all of the nigiri is unlimited. The actual size of the piece of sashimi on top of the rice is good sized; some places barely give you a piece and load it up with rice. The fish quality over all was good. The appetizers were amazing. We love a good crispy rice and garlic edamame and YUM! The cucumber salad is also delicious. Again for AYCE sushi this is phenomenal. Some of the staff were friendly/helpful and the restaurant itself needs some help. The bench cushions were split, the ceiling looks like somebody took a chunk out of it, and the bathroom.....oh boy it needs some love. The toilets were leaking so please get that fixed asap!"
"Been a minute since I went but nothing has changed. Staff is still friendly, atmosphere is still chill and quaint, and food is still great. I need to remember to go more often like I used to. I wish they had late night happy hour."
"Quality sushi at such a great price. The fish is always so fresh. One of my favorite sushi spots."
"The food is amazing ... and only topped by the service from the waitress (Tran). Highly recommend and will be back soon."
"Only 5 mins away , I can't believe we didn't try this place sooner. My husband sees this restaurant on his runs around the neighborhood and suggested we try it. We came here on Mother's Day right when it open at 5pm and luckily we got seating before the crowd. We were greeted immediately and seated. Our waiter was very nice and gave us recommendations on sake and about our happy hour options. We ordered the :chefs choice 12 piecered snapper sushi salmon teriyaki plate love love roll the Normandie rollYaegaki sakiMacaron ice cream cappuccino flavorEverything was delicious , especially the "love love rolls". That was our favorite! We will definitely be back!"
"I'm so happy that my usual sushi spot was closed on Sunday afternoon, because it led me to find Ikeda. The lunch specials were a great deal. They came with miso soup which was flavorful and had plenty of tofu pieces, 5 pieces of sushi or 6 pieces of sashimi, and a roll. I recommend choosing the sashimi - the pieces were large and the fish was clean and fresh. The dragon roll (california roll topped with eel) tasted amazing. I also really liked the garfield roll, which was a california roll topped with baked salmon. Lastly, we ordered a surf roll and I loved the seaweed salad on top! My husband said it was like a dessert roll. All the rolls were thick and well portioned. I will definitely come back and recommend to others. Service was friendly and efficient and there was nice ambiance. I think they still had their romantic Valentine's Day Playlist on because there was a lot of Bryan Adams and Celine Dion playing."
"Great food and excellent service. I highly recommend Jasmine Hana. It's a good value for the money you pay."
"Parking is good and it's gated once you get there you will know why. Around the area is rough but it's a nice hidden gem with some of the freshest fish we tasted. Service was great possible owner is very attentive making sure everything is just right. Menu was a little confusing at first when ordering. Once all figured out we know for next time how to order. Quiet we went on a off day there and no one was there besides my little family. Will definitely come back here."
"My gf and I like usual were craving sushi and searched out a spot near by work. I had Kaigen bookmarked so we made a reservation at the bar. Parking is in an open lot, and it was pretty empty when we went inside. The menu is pretty standard, along with their specials on the board and their omakase options. They also do have yakitori which is a plus. We could not figure out what we wanted so we both decided on the sushi omakase. _Sushi Omakase ($42) Comes with 9 pieces nigiri sushi, and yellowtail hand roll or blue crab hand roll, miso soup and salad. The order is as follows;+Bluefin Tuna. The tuna is fresh and although I am not a big fan of bluefin tuna, this was simple and good. +Amberjack. A solid nigiri. It did not need much soy sauce as it was already dressed in a ligtht sauce that seemed like a ponzu sauce.+Sea Bream. A very light fish, and often can be a bit bland. It was topped with a bit of yuzu koshu and salt, that gives a light salty flavor to bring out the fish and a bit of spice from the yuzu koshu. +Scallop. One of my favorites. Fresh and meaty. Topped with a bit of black salt.+Cherry Salmon. Different from a regualr salmon and salmon belly. Less fatty than the belly, and a bit more sweeter. This was good.+Sea Bass. This was mild and light. The sauce and garnish on top was great. +Toro. The toro was fresh and slighty fatty. Melts in your mouth. +Black Cod. This is what I kept seeing on yelp and I was happy that it was included in the omakase, otherwise I would have ordered it a la carte. Slightly fatty and oily, but in the right ways. The char marks were beautifully done and had that nice depth of flavor to it. +Blue Crab Hand Roll. Pretty solid, I thought it was baked but that was my fault. Good amount of fresh crab meat to rice ratio. +Uni (off omakase) This nigiri was not the typical wrapped in nori nigiri. Just a big slab of fresh uni on top of the rice. It was fresh, not the best I''ve had, but enough to hit that uni craving. _Kiss of Fire Roll ($18) Spicy tuna, fresh jalapeno, cucumber and avocado inside, cajun peppered seared ahi tuna on top with chili ponzu sauce. This roll was a bit spicy but more of a peppery taste than a slow burning spice. A pretty good roll. I will say, I was not a fan of the sushi rice. I find that the rice can be more important than the fish itself, and I was not a fan of the texture. Overall very fair price for the quality. Great service. Will be back to itch my sushi cravings and try their yakitori as well."
"What a gem! The salmon lover's roll is fresh and flavorful. Good prices! Plenty of tables and food options. If I lived closer, I would come more often!"
"Nice local sushi joint. Located on a busy street with parking on the sides, very clean and bright interior. They offer a great bento box lunch special and they are very generous with their protein! We also ordered the sushi taco which is real nori coated in tempura as the taco shell. My recommendation -- get the spicy sushi taco!"
"First time coming here. Really glad we came here, service was great our server was very attentive, food was so fresh and tasty. The place itself was very well kept and clean definitely recommend this place. Overall happy we came here ."
