"Had a little bit of trouble finding it so make sure you go to the water side of the restaurants and shops. It is a small place. Had to give props to Ryan, who was so awesome when we visited. We originally came to take advantage of the Wed cruise offered when a meal is purchased during the summer. Unfortunately, we did not know we had to call and reserve in advance for this. Ryan was very nice in apologizing it was all sold out, but we wound up buying food anyway since the kids were hungry. He did approach us bc he had a cancelation, but our party was too big. We still appreciated the gesture. Thanks Ryan for the friendly service!"
"Wow. If you find this pop up stand anywhere - immediately get yourself a quesadilla. These are not your typical quesadillas. They are packed full of flavor and are humongous and was served with some homemade salsa as well as a fried onion. So darn good.I also added mac and cheese for $4.99 and the way they grilled the mac and cheese right on the grill where you got that crusty cheese cover with the gooey mac and cheese inside was incredible. 5-stars all around. Friendly, but to be prepared to wait a bit if there are a lot of orders ahead of you; there was only one owner working when I went, but it made for an INCREDIBLE beach snack on labor day!Hope to find this stand again; they were popped up on the Cherry/Ocean Long Beach Alamitos Beach on a weekend."
"Angel's is the go to taco stand, and I've been blessed to live by one for the past 3 years from the Eagle Rock location to Long Beach. I love trying new places, and I've tried all the nearby taco stands. No one else comes close! Everything is made fresh and by hand. The salsas, guac, pickled onions and grilled onions are always super flavorful and packs a punch. My wife and I usually go with the Al pastor potatoes and they are hefty! It always takes us two sittings to finish them. Go with what you like and try the potato if you haven't! It's a game changer."
"Ohhhh mannn...... you dont want to miss out on these tasty. Delicious made with love Brownies. And cookies. Everytime i have the chance to get my hands on them. I make sure i get me some extra. Cuz damn theyre soooooooo.... goooooodddd......"
"Great authentic carnitas and excellent salsas. Get there early so you can get them fresh. Friendly service, and they accept cash or credit cards."
"Great elote ! On the plus side they are open pretty late, you can't find to many places open late. Definitely will be back. Little wait but we'll worth it."
"Highly recommend these bacon wrapped hotdogs and smashed burgers. Service is They have a variety of hotdogs. I eat with Aggie's all the time on my break."
"I went a few weeks ago and was shocked when my total was only $6 for 6 tacos, until I realized it was Tuesday and obviously got more! The tortillas here are handmade along with all their salsas, and the meat is juicy and flavorful with just that right amount of grease making it such a great taco. They're located on the corner of Lomita Blvd. and Normandie Ave. in Harbor City, which is perfect for Southbay Los Angeles folks. Not sure if they'll be there today since it's Christmas Eve, but definitely make sure to save this place for your next Taco Tuesday spot! It's hard to find places that are truly $1, which is why this place was packed. We probably waited around 20ish minutes to get our food but it was worth it. High recommend stopping by!"
"5 star for sure. Great service and the funnel cakes were amazing!! The funnel cake was crispy but soft inside. The ice cream was so good."
"This little gem is located by the main bus stop in the heart of Long Beach. Offering a hot dog lunch to include chips and a drink for only $4, The Dog has the best lunch deal in the area. One might wonder, "well what's so special about a hotdog" or even think that is they've had one hotdog they've had them all, but I assure you that this will be the best hot dog you've ever had. First boiled, then split and barbecued, the hot dogs are full of flavor and offer a smokey taste in each bite. I highly recommend giving them a try, even if you're not usually into hotdogs, you won't be disappointed, especially for the price. That's this critic's review, until next time I'll be eating."

Absolutely delicious food and the service is amazing. The staff were so welcoming and really made sure we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. I asked if they could grill my onions and the staff were really accommodating. The food came out super delicious and it was really quick. A great quick meal when you're on the go and want to enjoy the Oceanside view.

Came across this amazing food at a free event at MOLAA and order the braised rib quesadilla and the Cajun shrimp Mac and cheese. The quesadilla was amazing like so good just the right amount of cheese and meat and wasn't overly cheesy like some can be. Flavors were delicious, the meat was amazing and I immediately wanted another one. They had a cilantro aioli sauce with it that was great too. The Cajun shrimp had the best flavor not too spicy or salty, just some perfect blend of herbs and spices that have it the Cajun flavor. It was on top of this pan fried Mac and cheese where the cheese forms this crust around the Mac. Very decadent and I kind of wanted the shrimp inside that but it was ok on top as well. I kind of also wanted to put that whole thing on a bun of some sort as a sandwich which would cut down the richness and saltiness of the cheese. Anyway if you hunt them down for the quesadilla you will not be disappointed.

Came here on a late Saturday night and surprisingly it wasn't too crowded. Long Beach has had a major influx of TJ style taco stands, and from what I've heard Angel's is a pretty legit chain of taco setups throughout the LA county area. They have a convenient location as it's right in front of a huge plaza where most of the stuff is closed by night time, so you should have no problem finding parking. The staff were super nice and friendly. Prices are pretty good considering how much meat you get on the tacos--they don't skimp out!One of the things that makes this place stand out is they have fresh Al Pastor tacos (complete with the pineapple!) and they load it up with salsas and sauces ala TJ style tacos. I also had one of their keto tacos which was super yummy and cheesy, just keep in mind you'll need a lot of napkins! They have a wide variety of meats and they were all delicious so you can't really go wrong. My only caveat is just to make sure you're comfortable being on the Westside of Long Beach (although, it's not that deep in!). Definitely will have to come back here for tacos on another late night.

It's hard to find carnitas that are actually made good, but this spot has the good carnitas, the meat is perfect (not dry) and the cueritos make it even better! Definitely a must try place and is the best I carnitas place I've tried!!

I want to gatekeep this hidden gem so bad because of how insane the $1 Taco Tuesday special is! I arrived around 6:45pm and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes to order. Zelle, Venmo, and cash payments are accepted! After you order, fill up on the sauces and extra toppings at the adjacent table while waiting. Don't forget to grab some of the cooked onions and grilled jalapeño peppers in front of the grill! There's one table provided with about 8 chairs so expect yourself to be eating in your car or standing up nearby since there's so many other customers. Def wanna try their other items on the menu on another day!

"If you have a sweet tooth, this is a good place to go. I got churros and platanos fritos. Delicious!"
"These Tacos have legit flavor, very well served portions , hand made Tortillas and All the Salsas are on point! Taco Tour Continues !"
"Can't beat these tacos! Asada is my go to. Freshly handmade tortillas.. Salsas are all good too! A few blocks down you can get the best orange water."
"This place is in WILMINGTON not long beach. It's a taco stand to three right if the train tracks. The best tacos al pastor and burritos. They offer energy excellent service. They finish early to get there early."
"Great tasting food and quality service. They allow you to taste samples before getting your ice cream."
"Tacos are big and delicious. Salsas are on point. The alambre and papa relleno are also unique and flavorful. They have aguas frescas. They're quick. They're cheap. This is the quintessential street taco place."
"Okay...so hear me out. I was VERY VERY apprehensive to hire this company after reading these reviews. VERY apprehensive. And I knew I was taking a HUGE risk hiring them. But I saw the price and I thought to myself "Well...I can always order pizzas if it doesn't work out".It's literally so cheap. The initial conversation also made me uncomfortable as it was hard to set up the contract and get everything set up for the first day. I was even able to pay on PayPal which I was going to refute the funds if they never showed (if that was the case)But after that? Everything ran smoothly. The day of my event came and I was very nervous. But lo and behold, they called me and set up was a BREEZE! I didn't have to do anything. He even ran to the store to buy me disposable pans for all the leftovers. The food was DELICIOUS and my guests enjoyed. I think with all the bad reviews maybe they were in a rough patch but now it seems like they got it together. I would definitely work with them again. Thanks Tony and Frank!"
"Happy National Hot Dog Day! Here I am again, writing a review of a business that's no longer around. This vendor has been looong gone from 1st Street & the Promenade. I was reminded when I typed "hot dog" in the search function for Long Beach. They were a staple for me and others in the office way back in the day. Turkey was my dog of choice with ketchup and mustard. I wasn't such a fan of mustard growing up but it's interesting how palettes change as one matures.I truly miss this basic, no nonsense hot dog cart."
"Hmm... had to drop it down a star because I bought a half chicken with the last of my money and it was definitely on the dry side. Service was great as always, but for 6 bucks, I was not as happy with my purchase since the chicken was incredible the first time. I think it was left on the spit for too long. I will give them another chance, but if it is dry next time, the star rating will drop to 3. Consistency is big in my book, but I will give them a chance for now."
"I don't know what bad attitude everyone else is talking about I have been coming for 2 years and I usually get looks and attitude from older Mexican ladies because the type of person I am , rolling up with loud music smelling like weed and all but a simple smile , how's your night going , and a tip should do y'all well , cause that's my routine and they are nice to me!!"
"This man runs a clean very tasty little foot truck my husband and I juts got a classic dog . It was great . Just letting you know his sauce he tops it off with has spicy quick !"
"I came across these cats while at the 626 Night Market. Though I unfortunately was not able to try the jerk tacos due to them selling out, I still thoroughly enjoyed the bacon wrapped hotdog with their special sauce. The workers were very nice too."
"I wanted to interact with my guests, and thus have a hands-free dinner. Bingo for that! They took care of entree, sides, drink, and eatingware.I wanted good chow, at an economical price. After pricing several Yelped caterers, I settled on Carlos and Crew due to his prompt responsiveness. Glad I did. I'm always wary of never having interacted with a caterer though. Can they cook? Do they use quality foods? Are they sanitary? Etc. Well, check, check, and check. I barely got to down a quesadilla before my guests started to arrive, so I didn't really taste the food until the day after (The crew left plenty of food to nibble on!). Yum to everything!I got: carne asada, chicken, fish, and veggies. Yes! Great choices! I might opt for al pastor versus asada, but the chicken, fish, and veggies were on point! I also had quesadillas, but later found from my guests that this option was not offered them upon ordering. As a matter of fact, they thought there was no cheese, so I put my own out. One star off! I opted for strawberry agua fresca. Seemed no one liked it but me; good thing I'm the birthday girl! The rice is delicious. Apparently, you have to specify refried beans? No one ate the whole brown beans. The crew was timely, efficient, and friendly. They verified address, scoped the spot, set up, and went to work. I thought it'd be Carlos, and wasn't notified it'd be crew, but it worked out. They were friendly, one speaking Spanish, and the other bilingual. The set up was great; they got permissions as warranted. I wish they had a menu, or had offered the fish/veggie/quesadilla options, as I have many friends fitting into those categories. It's only while mingling that I found they didn't know these options were available.I like payment via secured site versus a cash settlement. Carlos and I had difficulties with setting up initial payment, but it all worked out."
"Email: [email protected] now, Roy Taquizas is strictly catering only. They DO NOT have a store front or a "truck." Our company recently contacted them to cater to one of our events. They showed up promptly and started cooking right away. You do not have to do anything except have space for them to set up their equipment. With your catering items of choice, they will provide you with Mexican rice, beans, macaroni salad, 1 big jar of aqua fresca, variety of salsas and condiment bar, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Truly, you do not have to do anything except pay the man. We chose the option to have the beef (carne asada), chicken (pollo), al pastor (marinated pork), and chorizo as our meat selections for our tacos. The tortillas are small and made out of corn. Your guests just line up and can order whatever they want. Everything was cooked right in front of us and the line although long at times went by swiftly. You just add all the toppings and condiments on your own. Our plates were tipping over by the time we were done scooping all the goodies onto or next to our tacos (wherever there was space left on our plates). In addition to the tacos mentioned, they also can serve up bacon wrapped hot dogs, quesadillas, pupusas, birrias (Mexican meat stew), and veggie burgers for you non-carnivores. I also believe they have meat options for your tacos upon request, but you should probably contact Roy and find out.As for pricings, it's really not too bad. From their menu: 50 people for the four taco meat selections: $350, don't forget it includes all the stuff that comes standard with it. For 75 people: $390. There are more options to meddle with but you need to contact them to find out exactly what you need and how much you're willing to spend. As for the quality of the food, it was fresh and got our taste buds kicking. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken tacos the most. The Mexican drink they provided was a nice touch and almost like a dessert drink. Everything was quite satisfying overall. So if you're looking to cater your next taco party, consider Roy's Taquizas to do the work for you. I think they're based out of the Long Beach area but they seem like they are willing to drive out for the job."
