"Every fish I've had here and every sauce has been amazing! I used to pop in once or twice a week, but just haven't been craving fish as much. First place I've ever had swordfish and theirs is always great. The kabobs are amazing when they have them available. It's a little loud sitting outside, but at least they have a good sized patio! The staff is also super nice here."
"I've dined here for years and seen the crowds grow and prices rise, but it's always worth it. The fish tacos are a favorite, and the spicy garlic sauce enhances everything--from salmon to crab plates."

"Great food! recommend!Nice view of port/boats.Great ambience!Kind customer service!"
"Food was great!! Service was kind and attentive!! I really enjoy coming in on Tuesdays for taco Tuesdays!!Also come in on Thursday for the oysters ."
"bad service food portuon smaller 2 waitress since we got there we took a long time waiting. The server was lagging it on the straw on the spoons. My brother-in-law want to ask Quan. The server said he can't get it. Then we had to ask the server who was there to be rude the first time then after my son accidentally broke a cup and he was saying, you guys better charge him the cup laughing and then when I said it was his birthday to bring him a cake they they didn't have any more cake that I have to buy one of not they could bring cookies so they ended up bringing cookies if just so many things I hope I get a discount and I will get to the manager again I told him that time they also didn't have fountain drinks because the machine didn't work so everything was all the time"
"First time coming to this establishment and Freddy the bartender gave me the best customer service! His drinks were the best!"
"I liked it. My fam came here last Christmas and it was half empty. We enjoyed it and decided to come back this year. I guess word got out because this year it was packed. Inside is bright, spacious, and modern. Lots of TVs on the walls to watch a game. They also have a large patio area with nice views of the hills and golf course. It's a good place for groups. They easily accommodated our group of 14. The food is good. For appetizers we got the firecracker shrimp, calamari, and spicy ahi tuna tacos. Those were all a hit, even with the kids. For mains our group got a bit of everything and everybody liked it. I can definitely recommend the New York steak and the lamb rack. The little sauces they come with were great. The steak side dishes are just ok though. The rice pilaf was a bit dry. Minor complaint but yo where was my maraschino cherry in my old fashioned? lolService was good. Friendly staff. Easy parking in the front lot."
"I've had a positive experience every time I come here. Food is fresh and portion are a good size. Taco Tuesday offers a free fish taco with a purchase of any taco. Items ordered: fish tacos, agua de piña con chamoy and Tajín. Overall, I thought that fish tacos were great. They were cooked perfected and bartered just right. The salsa was good and offered just the right amount of spice. The pineapple water was super delicious. My 3 year old devoured the entire thing. Overall, fast service and plenty of space inside. The employees are generous and the inside is always looking clean. Good food and descent prices."
"I went here because I wanted to try what the locals liked and enjoyed for years. Don't judge this hole in the wall, they got the bites to back it up. They're not kidding about the portions. The Asian couple owners were nice and smiling every time I talked to them, even though they were closing in 15 minutes (sorry! I was hungry). The fish were humongous and piping hot! Look at my pics, it was long as my bo'oh'o'wa'er. The menu ain't lying when they said prime fish fillet and they fry it on the spot. It took around 8 minutes of wait time. If you're used to minced fish sticks or typical swai whitefish fillets, this will blow your mind. They use whole cod fillets cut horizontally here. The beer batter is golden crispy and the succulent fillet tastes like fresh hot pure protein. It's not fancy nor gourmet, but if you fancy a bag of fish 'n chips, this place is where you go. I really enjoyed these big fried fish, which somewhat puts chicken tenders to shame. Their tartar sauce isn't too tarty unlike store-bought; it tastes like mayo + relish. This actually compliments the malt vinegar well. Some tartar sauces are too acidic already and adding malt vinegar makes everything too sour, masking flavor in return. I recommend you add some malt to your fish then dip the tartar after ~ perfect balance. If they had some Asian salt/pepper mix, it'd be perfect. Three giant fish fillets and some fries for $13 after tax? I'm not gonna be picky, this is considered cheap in 2024.The chips are like McDonald's fries without the beef fat element. They're crispy but not much to them, still enjoyable nonetheless. If you like value and prefer a less pretentious place, or if you just like beer battered fish, this is the place."
"We waited a short while since it was Friday evening. We were seated within 10 minutes. We sat on the patio. We were quickly greeted at the table with bread and water. We selected the Seafood Fettuccine and Chicken Parmigiana. Both meals came out quickly and were good sized portions. Both were delicious. We were checked on frequently. All the accompaniments were on the table already. Waters were kept full! Service with a smile. Took home portions of each since we got full part way through. Great for leftovers. We also ordered a lasagna to go. Both salad and lasagna was great also."
"I came to this place because I heard it had authentic Japanese chefs. Keep in mind, because of this marketing, as well as the fact that they import their fish from Japan, the prices are going to be sky high. It was like $5 for one piece of nigiri, or $30 for a fish collar. This place is very popular, so make sure to make a reservation or come like 10min before they open, as people will line up outside the restaurant.Getting that out of the way... It was a great restaurant in terms of the Japanese vibe and authenticity. The chefs are indeed Japanese and you can ask them questions about the dishes which they will answer skillfully. We did not go here for sushi, though there were many people ordering omakase here. We ordered a variety of their other dishes, including two fish collars (salmon and young yellowtail), the crab stuffed salmon, tempura, and liver. The highlight for me was the salmon collar. Fatty and moist, it was easily the most delicious dish. It far surpassed the young yellowtail, which wasn't as fatty and tasted fishier. The tempura came out hot, but it had such thick batter that I was overwhelmed by the oily taste. A thinner batter would've been better to let the shrimp shine. The stuffed salmon was okay. The crab inside was yummy, but the salmon on the edge was not. I did not eat the liver so I can't say whether that was good.I'd like to one day come back for their omakase experience, where I can talk to the chefs at the bar."
"Fui a comer aquí con mi familia el sábado Ya q mi hermano siempre viene aquí Me invito a comer para celebrar mi cumpleaños.Yo ordene ostiones, camarones costa azul y tacos gobernador de camarón. todo deliciosoY las micheladas que no falten La mesera bien buena gente y siempre al pendiente de nuestra mesa Muchas gracias nos vemos pronto"

We went to an event in San Pedro and couldnt find a restaurant to eat at by cruising around on our scooters so I googled and we ended up here! I was SO pleased with where we ended up!! I ordered the grilled sea bass with garlic butter sauce, white rice and black beans. All of that was $14.95!!! When my dish was received, I had a large piece of sea bass in front of me with perfect grill marks! Honestly, this was one of the best pieces of fish I've had in far too long. I always feel like nice restaurants over do it with fish (ie, crusted macadamia) and never let the fish do the talking!! Well, this piece of sea bass was simple and fresh! I live in North OC and would absolutely drive out to eat this again. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and I didn't try them but she said they were delicious, they did look amazing but I had so much food on my own plate that I didn't want to waste any room in my belly. The white rice was buttery and we boxed up both the rice and black beans as we didn't want those to go to waste. We also ordered the chips and salsa. The chips were super fresh and I'm assuming homemade. The salsa was good...we had the red salsa and the pico de gallo. The red salsa was great and the pico was average but I wasn't there for Mexican food! I topped off my lunch with a fountain coke with crushed ice. It was the cherry on top of a perfect lunch! The food here was fresh, big portion, delicious, well prepared and let the fish do the talking. I wish I had taken pictures to share here but that was the last thing on my wind when the server dropped off my plate!! I wish there were more of these restaurants around! I love that the fish were all grilled and that you could pick your own sauce!

Christmas Eve :) lunch with the family and glad we're able to come out to 22nd - what a treat! This must have been our lucky day being that some of the reviews were borderline not so great.I've driven past this place a few times and have been wanting to come here.Pleasantly surprised at the views and spacious dining room. Started with an espresso martini - a good amount of vodka but not enough to tip you over. Starter - calamari had that soft crisp and was not chewy; spinach artichoke dip was warm and cheesy delicious, chips were made fresh ( a little oily). The. Breadsticks were super soft and warm what a surprise. Yumm! Ordered the scallops pesto penne and the scallops were perfect and not heavy on the sauce seasoned well.Dessert was mud pie. A favorite of mine. Almonds are usually mixed in but this was all on top which was different and really good. Lemon cheesecake was not super sweet which is a plus and the brownie sundae was really good too.Good service on Christmas Eve. Parking is a private lot. Elevator available to the 2nd floor dining room.Definitely coming back to enjoy other items on the menu and more of the gorgeous view!

A client of mine in South Gate sent me here for horchata. Yes, she told me that this place has the "best horchata" that she would drive 15 minutes from South Gate to Downey. She told me that they grind the rice and canela for their horchata here. The place was busy for being around 4 pm on a Friday for their happy hour deals on alcoholic beverages. My client also told me to try their fish tacos which are only 99 cents on Tuesdays and Fridays. It might be good to call if you're after this fish taco deal as I am not sure if they have this all the time. This is the first time fish tacos were served at room temperature. After I ordered at the counter, I went to the restroom, waited to use it. When I finished using the restroom, the fish tacos came out straight away from the kitchen with my horchata, side of chips, and salsa.I took one bite and it was room temperature and it didn't seem to come straight out of the fryer. Maybe it sat for a while I was waiting to use the restroom? It was a solid tasting fish taco if it was hot. I don't know if I can knock them for room temperature fish tacos because I went to the restroom and had to wait to use it because there were two girls inside it.The place has a party vibe because of the alcoholic beverages and the loud reggaeton music.Go for their horchata, party vibes, happy hour drinks, and if you're lucky....fresh out of the fryer fish tacos for 99 cents (when they have this deal on Tuesdays and Fridays).

Had one of the worst experiences by far at this location. Left around 7pm tonight. I had a party of 8 including two kids. We sat down and ordered kids food first along with 3 appetizers so that they can eat first as we all know kids get impatient. 2 appetizers arrived at our table, missing one. We never got it. One adult got his food first 20 minutes later we got the rest of our food. One plate was incorrect so that person had to wait an additional 10mins while everyone else ate. We asked for water and failed to come to the table. No silverware was given we had to take from empty tables around us. No napkins offered. At this point we asked for boxes to go because it was just an unpleasant experience and we had been waiting for our food for far too long. As we are waiting for the bill we let out server Stephanie know that there's items on our check that do not pertain to us. She leaves to remove them. In the meantime we asked someone else for a cup of water. (Zume) I think her name was. Someone from our party went up to the bar to ask for the water once again and the same girl told him "you may need to wait, you guys think you can hurry up? We are waiting for your table to leave we need to sit a party of 12 and it's a Surprise" at this point it was unbelievable that they said this to us as it was on their part that we were WAITING. We waited for our food a good amount of time. We did not get to enjoy our meals and now are being rushed to leave although it's the servers fault we are waiting!? I then asked for servers name and managers name and I was told that there was NO manager onsite tonight which is extremely disappointing. I asked who was in charge and was told no one was and that I would have to call in the morning and ask for a "victor" it took several times of asking who was the manager for them to tell me. We were fine with just leaving and paying for our food but once the comment of us being asked to leave because another party is waiting pissed us off. It ruined the birthday we were celebrating and REGRET coming here instead of el rocoto down the street!! HORRIBLE SERVICE.

During a recent visit, my parents took me here for lunch, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We ordered their a Red Special Burger, Classic Caesar salad, and Spicy Ahi Tacos. All three dishes were very good. My burger was terrific and I chose the side salad, which was crammed in a little dish which made it difficult to navigate/mix up. I felt it could have used more ingredients--some additional tomatoes, cucumbers, or croutons would have been nice.We would have liked to sit outside, but it was a bit too warm that day. Inside, the atmosphere was a little noisy, probably due to the golfers who had just finished a round of drinking, I mean a round of golfing.Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend it and return.

Solid neighborhood staple. Can't go wrong with the fried fish tacos. An ample amount of fish, with zesty white sauce! They're always steady busy, but quick and hospitable. I haven't eaten in, but there's plenty of space! Reventaco is always CLEAN!!

"Really good food. I tried crab, fish, ceviche and they were all good. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. Make sure to get some hand sanitizer or wash your hands after eating because they get sticky. The view is great because you can see the boats and people walking by."
"It's been a while, but I've given this place more chances and have to say I'll continue returning! As someone who doesn't like mimosas, I knew bottomless would've been a rip off for me with their deal. Luckily, I was able to use a different menu and order a margarita on the side without having to use their bottomless brunch menu!Their Buffalo Chicken Wings came out steaming and packed! It tasted exactly like you'd expect from good wings. If you have the stomach, try out their Clam Chowder! Super creamy, filling, and hearty if you're not feeling anything else. Glad I'm able to get a difference experience from last time!"
"New favorite spot in town! Super cute , amazing food and not overpriced Super nice staff too "
"A friend and I came to BLK Earth Sea Spirits for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is located upstairs on the south east corner of PCH and Main street right across the street from the beach. Note that Huntington Beach has a street fair every Tuesday night and Main Street is blocked off from PCH for several blocks north which may throw off your arrival time if you are not aware. We were seated immediately out on the patio which was fairly busy but inside was pretty empty. The restaurant definitely has a classy feel and would be great for a date. The patio wall is low with glass above so you get a great view of the beach and up and down PCH. The décor is nice and modern. The dinner rolls were real good and had some herb flavor. We both ordered the filet mignon and my friend added on a lobster tail. The cuts of meat were very thick but were cooked through as ordered and tasted great. I ordered some bearnaise sauce which was ok. We were both doing the carnivore thing and didn't order any sides. Prices were a little on the high side but on par with most of the fancy restaurants down here. Service was good and the host was very friendly also. The one thing that was weird was the plates our steaks were served on. They are just big rectangular completely flat plates. With nothing on my plate besides the big thick chunk of meat, it made the steak look kind of small and potentially could have been a big mess if a lot of juice came out of the steak."
"They have vegan options such as fried rice, no butter cook with oil and a bunch of garlic and ask for no egg just vegetables and tofu and then they offer a vegan sushi but it's more of a secret menu. They'll make the sushi with bell peppers and asparagus, tofu, and other veggies, so whenever I go there, I get the fried rice and I asked for them to vegan it and I asked for vegan sushi and Coke on the side. Their food is tasty and I'm glad I can eat there while I'm washing my car. They're located inside of a car wash."
"We went here for my moms birthday! It was simple tomake a reservation online and you can put any special requests or messages and I put we were celebrating a birthday and everyone greeted my mom when we got there which was great. Our server was also super helpful with suggestions of the menu. They give complimentary sourdough bread w butter which was delicious. We started off with calamari which was crispy and yummy. I got the salmon which was paired with gnocchi and corn SO GOOD! The salmon piece itself was big enough where I could take it for leftovers. We didn't ask but they ended up giving us a little cake w ice cream and a candle for my mom's birthday which was super sweet."
"This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy! The service is outstanding. Two waiters served our table for every detail fullfilled. The manager came to us with congrats on our anniversary celebration! The whole evening my husband and I felt that we were in a royal court where the best skills in hospitality are well known and properly presented. On top of that, the food was spectacular! We ordered the butternut pumpkin soup and their presentatio of fresh raw oysters for starters; then a filet medallion topped with duck pate white truffels for main course. I can say that this quality of beef I have experienced only in the very historic end restaurant in Japan. If I could give this restaurant 10 starts, I would do it right away, because they deserve to be recognized on the highest level. Thanks to all staff who helped to make our anniversary special."
"Came in to try their Guac Ceviche, absolute fire! It's a cute corner restaurant in HP that has lots of Mexican culture within it. Service was also amazing! I'll be back on Friday nights to checkout the Mariachi vibes, can't wait!"
"The only thing I've tried at this place is the Halo Halo and it is the BEST I've ever had. Crushed ice, jelly cubes, red bean, condensed milk, rice crispies, ube, and softened sweet bamboo (I think it's bamboo). So freaking good, and it's not too sweet. Just right for those who don't like overly sweet desserts. I've had 3 of these in one week. A little pricey at $9 a pop, so will have to reserve this dessert for a 'treat yo self' occasion."
"Food is always delicious! I love their super tostada salad and everything else I've tried there. A bit on the pricy side."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"Delicious homemade food in an efficient takeout storefront. Had the greens, red beans and rice as side. Super yummy. Such a nice owner, too."
"Best BBQ restaurant around in the Wild Wild West (of South Bay, SoCal area) First time at this location and second time here overall and I can say that this is the restaurant I plan to frequent for birthdays, casual dinners with friends and family, date nights, or any occasion where I want some darn good barbecue. A friend made a reservation and ate here on New Years Day, still a good crowd and lively. Our server was Leslie and she was very attentive with refilling our waters/cokes and replenishing their wonderful garlic rolls. Look at how they glisten with flavor, it's a must have for this restaurant! I ordered the smoked brisket plate with the cherry chipotle sauce on the side. For my two sides I went with baked beans and the Mac and cheese. It's my first time trying their brisket and it was soft, tender, and peppery flavor. Great quality and they do serve their meats until sold out (which has happened in my first Wood Ranch experience). Bursting with flavors and AMAZING quality food. A friend ordered the baby back ribs and I ate some too. The softest ribs around. Next time I come I'll try to share a few plates with family so I get to try all the meats! Now that Wood Ranch Grill is local, I'm only going here from now on. There were some bbq restaurants in the area that have gone up and down in quality from 2000s-2014ish, so this is the best news that I can eat here as often as I want for my BBQ cravings! Tried their chocolate cake dessert with ice cream and candied pecans. Wow. As a chocolate lover I can attest this isn't "pulled out from the fridge and served" but honestly has that true home made feel to it. Wood Ranch has salads and seafood options which may be cool to try, but hands down the BBQ menu is where you want to order from. They do serve smaller portioned meat sizes and sides a la carte, but I had enough leftovers for a lunch/dinner the next day. Great quality food and service, I hope to keep going here for many years to come!!!"
"First time eating here, I will be back. Fish taco were awesome. My fish and chip good but next time I'll tell them not so garlic on my fries."
"Normally, I'd give a four star but there's a new policy that we objected to, so read on.My friends and I eat here often and have always enjoyed the experience, food, service, and staff. Tonight we were surprised to find an extra 2.75% fee attached to our bill for using a credit card. We found this laughable because the cost of the food didn't decrease by this same amount. Math people will get this. On the flip side, the poor servers are the ones that are being hit the hardest by this fee. Customers by default want to discount the servers' tips. People understand this is a corporate decision, please don't penalize your servers. This change hits them harder than corporate. Come with a debit card or cash and pay your server with cash. FYI: I learned tonight; that the waiters pay the tax, not just on the tips they keep, but also on the tips they share with the busboys and kitchen staff. Wow! Thank goodness that in 2025 the wait staff won't have to pay tax on their tips!"
"All around fantastic eexperience. Food, service, experience - on point! I can not wait to return."
"Stopppp! If you're not loving this place, you're drunk (or not drunk enough!). The service is ALWAYS on point and the food is amazing. There are like a million TVs, with different things on for everyone. Do yourself a favor and order the lobster roll... or the burger... or literally anything!"
"Ruth Chris Long Beach was the best date night we could have asked for. The food is always consistent and the quality is top tier BUT it was the IMPECCABLE service we received that made our night! Hailey was our server and Adolfo was her server assistant and both of them were a dream! Hailey gave us recommendations when we couldn't decide between our sides and made sure she kept us updated on our drink orders when the bar got a little backed up. We were going to skip dessert and then we saw an Apple crumble that another table had ordered and Hailey highly recommended it...I'm so glad she did.We had such an amazing time that we left our table and went to the bar. The bar was packed but we never felt as though we were being ignored as you sometimes can feel when the bar is busy.Overall, this has been the best Ruth Chris experience I have had out of going to multiple locations in and outside of SoCal. We will definitely be back!"
"Stopped in here at 5pm on a Saturday for takeout. The Good Life Cafe is located on a busy street and shares the parking lot with 3 Little Cupcakes Cafeand a few other businesses. Inside the restaurant was completely empty. Honestly it felt like more of an event hosting establishment than a restaurant, with several patches of random empty space between the tables. It seems like after the sun falls down the tables are put away in favor of the dance floor. There are also large speakers in the corner and if I recall correctly a small stage. There was one guy behind the bar who asked me to walk over there to place the order. He let me know what was recommended which was the chicken wings, ox tails and jerk chicken. I opted for the latter 2. I was told it'd be about 10 minutes; it was more like 20-25, but I didn't mind as I wasn't in a rush. The server was cool had a somewhat quirky personality. The menus were a printed out on paper and a little beat up, but there were no stains on them. They could probably due with printing out a new set. As for the main event: the food. Both the oxtails and the jerk chicken came with rice, peas and cabbage. Flavors were good all around, even the veggies. The portion of the oxtails was about what I expected, though for the price I wouldn't mind if there was a bit more meat. The jerk chicken had some heat to it, but not too much. The oxtails were not spicy at all. Everything was piping hot and survived the trip home without needing to be reheated . One minus was the plastic bag my food came in was so thin it didn't make it to it's destination without some tears and required careful handling, however from the aroma during the ride I knew the food was going to taste good. I don't frequent Jamaican restaurants that often and this will be definitely be a repeat."
"I have such mixed feelings about this review. The first time we went, everything was amazing! We were given samples of the sauces with our food and we felt that we knew exactly what we were going to order this second time around. Fast forward to our second visit and the food tasted so different than what we remembered. We ordered crawfish with shrimp in spicy garlic butter. My husband and I had to keep adding salt, pepper, and lemon to give it some flavor. We also waited 40 minutes for our food. The restaurant was about half full and only one waitress. When we left the restaurant, we saw more staff. The first time we visited this restaurant, I remember leaving and thinking "I can't wait to come back"... This second time around, I don't feel like I need to go back."
"Hidden away on a quiet street, The Dock captures your attention right away as it is the only restaurant that is bright enough to be noticed. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the host and a wall full of wine. The host takes you to the back where the salty air and smell of wine permeates the room. For those of you who like to be surrounded by the wading boats and laughter in the room, this is the place where you can forget your arguments and be truly present. Come and order a drink for the occasion. I got Endless Summer and truly, it was the last drink before the season changes again. As an appetizer, I got the octopus, a small dish where you'll still have room for more food. As the main entrees, I got the fish of the day and of course, the lamb. If you ever had lamb anywhere else, well, those restaurants cannot compare to this one at The Dock. The lamb was cooked nicely and without the gamey taste, which is my preference. I would go back here again for the location, good, and ambiance."
"I love this place!!!! This review is long overdue since I've probably been here around 4-5 times for dinner -- I even had the honor of having my birthday dinner here earlier this year, haha. My partner and I always get the veggie fried rice, orange peel chicken, and stir fried Mongolian beef to share. Food has been delicious every time, and we usually have a lot to take home. When we came with a bigger group for my birthday, we also got the cheese wontons and seafood pan fried noodles. Both were delicious as well; you really can't go wrong with any of their dishes. Prices are on the higher side but considering the quality and how much food you get, I'd say it's pretty reasonable. This spot was formerly a Japanese restaurant and the interior decor definitely still reflects that, but it's a nice ambiance regardless. Service is always phenomenal. My partner and I LOVE their chili oil sauce and go through it like crazy every time we go to EA. Last time we were here, we asked the owner (?) if they sold their sauce, and he came back with a full to-go container of the sauce for us to take home for free! We've been meaning to try their dim sum in the mornings, so we'll be returning soon. Highly recommend (':"
"Thank you Victor for great food and great service if you never been it's a must try. Happy Hour is the Best"
