"A great poke spot in DTLA! The tuna was marinated very well and the sauce was delicious. The portion is a bit small for the price but the quality of the fish and flavors are worth it! I would come back again for lunch and try their other items."
"Food was good and not so bad for the price. The service was good. The place is a bit small but it's clean. The outdoor is small too but it's still nice"

"Would give this place an 1000/5 stars if possible! If you're looking for a poke spot with fresh fish and good portions, this is where to go! Their poke bowls are worth what you pay for :)"
"I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi."
"My daughter and I tried this place on the weekend. The poke was pretty good although for the price the portion was rather small. Overall, we liked it but I would say there are better values out there for a Poke bowl."
"Great service and friendly staff. Food is fresh and tasty. The Hawaii island theme was nice to see. Recommendit as a local eatery. Right in the Walmart parking lot area."
"My go to poke spot ! Has never disappointed me. The variety of proteins is great and they always have some spicy proteins which are actually spicy! Always great customer service and clean inside. The price is also worth the amount of food you get, I never leave this place hungry"
"The poke was suuuppper fresh. It's the closest to poke you can get in Hawaii that I've had in LA imo. My ranking of the poke I had:1. Salmon spicy mayo 2. Tuna Hawaiian limu3. Salmon spicy garlic4. Tuna shoyu Friendly service. It's in a strip mall with tons of parking. Just a chill environment. But surprisingly the star of the show was the beef ribs. Perfect marinated seasoning. Definitely should be a go-to place."
"First time here. Every time I go to the gym I see this place and finally I got to stop by and I could say I loved it how that I've been missing out I got a medium poke and a side of miso soup. Everything for around $20 including tip. Parking is available right in the front. Very fast and the go."
"The cashier/server was kind. Pretty straightforward options. Limited topping options but the food was good."
"Our favorite place for Pho & Poke bowls for sure. They are close to home and we are in and out and service is fast. We love their poke bowls they are so filling and flavorful when you get all the toppings. As you arrive to the front there are clipboards and our can fill them out then hang it to them and they get started on them. We usually get the large and you get 4 proteins and the base comes with rice and the toppings you choose. Their pho is delicious, their broth is solid and always great on a cold day with all the fixings they come with. The shopping center has plenty of parking as well that's never a problem. The place is clean and every table has a menu that you can take a look at what they have to offer. Their service is great!"
"It's been a while since my last visit. I'm happy they were open when searching for a last minute dinner spot because I was reminded how good this place is. It's a little pricey, however they really do give a lot. The protein scoops (esp spicy tuna) are worth the money. I can't forget to mention the quality...everything was fresh!!!They have unique sauce options. Personally, i'm basic with little to no sauce, but if you like spicy, this place has a variety of options. I am always a fan of "build your own" and seeing all ingredients in front of you. It's a clean a cute spot in a great location with plenty of parking!"

Ordered the 3 pc fish + 10 shrimp meal through a delivery service. Everything was very stale but the shrimp had a nice batter. Then I found a hair!Banana pudding was basic but good.

This place is one of my favorite build your poke places! The portions are so generous and the ingredients are fresh! Everyone here is also really nice and patient as you pick out your bowl. My go to order is typicallyBase: a mix of white rice and mixed greensProtein: Tuna, salmon, and scallop are all solid Mix ins: cilantro, cucumber, sweet onion, edamame, and green onion (love that you can pick as many as you want) Sauce- ponzu with spicy mayo on the side Sides- imitation crab and seaweed salad (this is perfectly seasoned) toppings- masago, furikake, and always always get the crispy onion and garlic for that amazing crunch. I feel like the cost is pretty darn good for how much food you get. This place is also less than a mile walk to the beach so go get some poke and go eat it on the beach!

We went last night to pick up good an hour before closing. They were cleaning up and had half the restaurant closed. We asked if they were open and the kid there rudely said yes. We walk in, no one greets us, or acknowledges that we are there. We wait 2-3 minutes with the kids talking behind us but nothing. Finally someone comes out and she's rude and curt. No apology or anything. We finally paid and asked for our free miso soup and never got it. At this point we were so annoyed we just left. I've been coming here for quite some time but have never had ruder customer service.

I got their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate and it tasted like teriyaki chicken but more smoky. The salad was great, very subtle. The Rice, Mac, and Salad complimented the main dish and overall was delightful. The portion amount is solid with their prices; their prices aren't overpriced with low portions. The owner is very laid back and friendly. Great place to get a spam musubi, chicken katsu, or other Hawaiian foods!

Poke is one of my favorite dishes and I've tried it every chance I get. Poke Pola is hands down my favorite version of it. The fish is consistently totally fresh and delicious, and the toppings are generously heaped! The staff is always friendly and from a sustainability standpoint, I really appreciate the reusable rather than disposable bowls when eating in. I'll continue with my weekly habit at Poke Pola as long as they are and I am here!

You can never go wrong by choosing salmon. The salmon was cut into large, generously sized pieces and so fresh. That's the only type of protein I added because I'm a huge salmon lover but you can choose to go crazy with the other options.Even if you're not a huge poké lover, they have Hawaiian classics like spam musubi and California rolls. We ordered the tuna roll but they were out of tuna so they subbed it for salmon which I was happy about. They have a lot of deals for small bites depending on the day of the week so I'd take advantage of that depending on when you visit.Poke Island is such a cute, small mom-and-pop shop tucked in a busy plaza that's worth supporting.

Ahipoki is a great poke spot in the area. Lucikly for me this spot isn't too far from where I work. The last time I came here was to grab a quick salad bowl to take home. If you are bowling your own bowl you get the option between brown rice, regular rice, kelp noodles or organic salad. I always go with salad and the large bowl, which is 3 scoops. Although their scoops are a little small they have a large variety of protein options. My favorite is the spicy salmon. They also have lots of options for toppings and sauces. You are bound to buy a bowl of your liking. Besides poke bowls they also have set rice bowls, handrolls, burritos, and musubis. The staff is very nice. This spot can get a little busy so sometimes there is a line. I found the food to be good and tasting fresh, but to me the portion was a tad small for the large. But overall, I would still come back.

"Great local spot for poke and sushi rolls. The poke bowls are a good deal, solid portion size, and very filling. I love all the toppings you can choose. Fish was fresh and tasty. We also ordered two rolls, and I liked the Ignite roll best. We ordered online for pick up and it was super easy. Located on the corner of Beach & Atlanta with plenty of parking in the lot. There's also Starbucks, Walmart, Mama's, and a bunch of other options in the shopping center."
"Great poke flavor on the signature bowl! Good portion. Looking to try their other dishes. Must try."
"A family-owned, downhome, mom and pop shop with THE best food. I saw their beef rib plate on social media and hearing that it is a Filipino/Hawaiian restaurant, we had to check it out. We ordered both the grilled beef ribs and the spicy garlic beef ribs. Both were very good but the spicy garlic beef is so full of flavor, I was happy that it came with zoodles and white rice with fried garlic on top to spread the flavor around. It really was love at first bite. It also comes with a mac salad and it was very good. They have a bar of different poke to choose from, much like delis in Hawaii serve them. We got the spicy soy tuna. Marinated long enough to pack a punch of flavor! Another friend in my party got the moco loco with a white gravy and they said it was very good. The moco loco comes with two eggs and Portuguese and it can easily be shared between two people.Service is excellent. The woman behind the counter is super friendly and I felt we were treated like family. It just adds soul to the place and food. Ambiance is super casual, often quiet as there is no TV playing (although I see evidence of karaoke) and no music playing. Overall, I love this place and can't wait to come back to try other dishes, particularly the tuna sisig."
"It was my first visit and I didn't expect much, but I was surprised that it was even tastier and the ingredients were fresher. There are a variety of drinks and the interior of the store is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for visiting with friends or a lover. I definitely plan to visit again next time."
"I was stuck next door at Milan Hair Salon... with heavy aluminum foils in my hair ... starving. I called Poki Poki and spoke with Sunny who took my order via text and had the food delivered to the salon within 10minutes. I gave them a $5 tip for the quick service. I got 3 onigiris... spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and crab! They were all delicious! I would come back to order them again even if I'm not in the area for my hair care. Thanks so much Sunny!"
"I am picky with poke but this place has been consistently delicious and fresh!! Looove the quality of the food. Another must try is their dip with chips, it's out of this world good. I'd have to say that every time I come, the staff has always been kind, friendly and patient -so rare nowadays :P"
"A friend and I found this spot in our quest to find an easy lunch spot between where we both live. South Bay Pavilion is easily accessible for both of us and we'd previously hit some of the chain restaurants. When my friend spotted this just across the street, we decided to try and it's been our new meeting spot. Food is always fresh, the menu has a good assortment of items and I like that they also have some rolls that are a bit different than you'd see elsewhere. It can be hopping for weekday lunch, but we recently did a Saturday and it was a touch quieter. Plenty of parking and easy freeway access."
"OUR FAVORITE LOCAL POKE SHOP!This place is the best pick your bowl style poke that we have had! The fish is super fresh and cut small which makes it taste better. The topping options are great! They have a Club card so you can get a free bowl after 9 bowls. The only negative I would say, is they consider Krab salad as a protein whereas most other places consider it a topping. But we took advantage of the Club card because we love it so much! Everyone here is super nice and friendly."
"16.50 3 scoop poki bowl. Most toppings are included like Krab, only avocado is extra. We've been here a couple times and have been happy with the service and freshness. The 3 scoop bowl seems bigger to me than other places. I usually get half white rice/half salad for the base. The scoops of fish seemed pretty good. I like that the Krab and seaweed salad are included in the price. Only avocado is extra. Also they have eel sauce which I like to have drizzled on the top at the end."
"How have I not reviewed this place yet?!? It has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, especially after Poke Cat closed :( That was actually how I happened upon this place and it was obsession at first bite.I've tried their poke bowls and some of their hand rolls: the unagi, spam and philly rolls in particular. The unagi and spam rolls are delicious! I have yet to try one of their sushi burritos, but I'm more of a show-off-the-chopstick-skills kinda gal. Onto the bowls: I normally get the 50/50 base with either rice and greens or rice and soba noodles. For the proteins I like two scoops of tuna and one of shrimp, but sometimes I'll sub one of the tuna for albacore or salmon. I love almost all the toppings available and ALWAYS get an extra scoop of the crab salad because it's so good. I love all the fresh ingredients and basically get them all along with the furikake and fried onions from the crunchy list. I finish off with their house sauce and a drizzle of the yuzu for a bright citrusy finish.I've never had an issue with the quality of their fish, and have never gotten sick from it. And usually I get my order through Uber Eats. No complaints here! I type this as my stomach rumbles, not-so-patiently awaiting for my order to arrive. Ok, time to eat! Pictures coming soon!"
"I love 808 Hawaiian. The service is really friendly and fast. Inside the restaurant was small but comfortable. I fell in love with the other Yelpers' pictures of the ribs and had to give it a shot! So I ordered the Momona combo plate that comes with 2 sizable delicious beef ribs, some pieces of kalbi ribs, bbq chicken, rice and macaroni salad. I loved everything! The tender juicy beef ribs would just melt in your mouth and their bbq chicken was oh so amazing. There was something special about how they prepared the rice that makes it stands out from other Hawaiian food joints. The macaroni salad was delicious. The portions are generous and allowed me to save some for dinner.I'm looking forward to returning here again and again. I recommend you give it go, you will definitely love it!"
"Great service, great food, and clean place. Decided to come in for some quick lunch and had their chicken bowl. The portion was okay in size but I strongly recommend getting a side as I didn't get full with the bowl. They have a great lunch roll special."
"this was the first place i ever tried poke and it did not disappoint! (i have tried other poke spots since, and this hidden gem is still my favorite!) the portion sizes are generous (the pic below was about $17, I got 2 meals out of it) and everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. the spicy tuna isn't incredibly spicy, which i personally love. if you're looking to spice things up a bit more, there are always tons of sauce options. the staff is always incredible kind and patient; they were always willing to give recommendations or let me taste a sauce or serve a sauce on the side if i was unsure. this location is inside the long beach hangar, great for a casual date night! already can't wait to go back and cannot recommend enough"
"Come on down to Belmont Shore (2nd Street) and get your Poke Bowl On. Tuna, salmon, shrimp or veggies, your hunger and taste senses will surely be addressed. Plenty of good food choices await. Burritos, grains and greens. Oh, they've got plant-based options too. I left out the chicken. My favorite chicken based bowl is the Cilantro Chopped Chicken Salad which comes with grilled chicken, cilantro lime jalapeno vinaigrette, chopped kale, napa cabbage, red onions, cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, crunchy vermicelli noodles, and sesame seeds. The place is clean and relaxed. The service is friendly and excellent. Eat in or order to go. Best to find parking on the side streets or behind the storefronts. Better yet, walk a few blocks from the beach."
"Passed by this little place by El Camino College a bunch of times and was curious to see what they served. Happy it popped up on my Door Dash so decided to try it out. The menu consists of Korean and Fusion type dishes. Some Japanese and some Asian. I know there are a lot of places like this in Hawaii, socurious to know if the owners are fromHawaii. I noticed the prices are very reasonable even on the delivery apps. Ordered the Beef Kimbap, Shrimp Tempura roll, and a spamMusubi. Any other place this would be $30+, with tip came out to be about $23. Not bad. Rolls were good and Spam musubi was decent but missing something and fell apart. Everything i ate here tasted fresh and homemade like someone's Mom made it. Would def order again to try the other dishes."
"2nd time around.....and I'm hooked. Quality ingredients. Normally purchased through UberEats."
"Hidden gem in South Torrance! Have tried a few different bowls and the poke is amazing. Generous portion and the fruit drinks are outstanding (passion fruit tea has chunks of real passion fruit!) Major compliments to the chef and owner. Extremely kind folks, excellent service, and delicious food."
"Some of the best Poki I've had hands down. It not only looks great, but it tastes amazing. I love how fresh the fish and salad/topping items are. The service was prompt and I loved how clean and artsy the space was inside. In the City of Cypress, this may seem like a hole in the wall spot from the outside but is truly a hidden gem! I enjoy eating here and highly recommend trying this spot."
"Lunchtime favorite!! It's been a while since I've been here and it is still as fresh and flavorful as always.Poke is their specialty and they have 20+ premarinated flavors to choose from just like in Hawaii. Salmon and Tuna have the most flavor options and all of them are good depending on your preference. My favorite poke, hands down, is Salmon Sweet and Spicy (not too spicy with great balance). That's the only one I get now. Salmon Fresh Mango is good, Salmon Spicy Mayo is good, Tuna Awapuhi is delicious, the Shredded Crabmeat is good, and Tuna Creamy Japanese is good. The only thing keeping me from coming more often is the price for the quantity. It's a small bowl that cost more than other places that pack a box to the brim. Spam Musubi - this is pre-made and a quick easy meal if you're on the go. It's okay. They also have many options of Hawaiian food, but I've only been here for the poke. They also have Hawaiian Sun canned sodas and Coke fountain drinks. It's a small place with 5-6 tables inside and 2-3 outside. Service is quick and friendly. You order at the counter and grab a table here. Parking is very convenient in the large shared lot. Recommended!"
"Came back for the good sushi and this time they did not have a wait! The carpaccio sushi was good and my favorite is the Alaskan roll. I don't know if it was the food or the music but it got me vibing."
"Delicious , delicious , delicious. Shoyu Poke was super tasty. Very fresh. It was just delicious. Food: 9.5/10Parking: I parked in a shopping center very close to the restaurant. Plenty there but was very busy on a Friday at 1:00 pmThere are a few bar seat on the inside and few tables on the outside. Very chill spot. There was a line when I got there but it went by quick. The hype was real :)"
