"Ordered pho combination to go. It felt very home feeling when I walked into the restaurant and was greeted by an elderly couple. They were very kind, and patient. Although I ordered food to go, they offered me water while I waited for my food to be prepared. I appreciate it the hospitality. Broth was very flavorful. Meat to noodle ratio was fantastic. It definitely hits the spot, especially during these cold winters. Location: love that there is plentiful of parking."
"Have you ever been hyper fixated on food? Well, it's happening to me currently. I have been loving the wonton soup here. You need to try it. Juicy soup dumplings, spicy wontons, green onion pancake, shrimp with egg, beef noodle soup, and sweet and sour fish fillets, have been our usuals. Everything on their menu is good though. I don't think I've tried something I didn't particularly like. Staff is friendly, attentive, and consistent. I really like my dining experience here. It can get busy during peak dining hours but that's normal. I'm already looking forward and planning my next visit for the wonton soup! LOL!! Ambiance is chill, open seating once you walk in but of course if packed, you'll get put on a list. There's booths and tables. Can accommodate large parties. But that would basically take up the entire half of the place."

"Can i gatekeep this spot forever?! :')This is one of my all-time favorite casual dining restaurants. i been fr sleeping on this cambodian fusion spot. it's one of those places you could never get sick of because you can constantly change the flavors of each dish with add-ons, sauces, etc. HIGHLY recommend.here's my holy grail order: shack wings, mo's special with big egg noodle mixed with small rice noodle, dry with soup on side (if you're hesitant to try their phnom penh noodle), beef stew with big rice noodle, bread sticks for everyone at the stable (they do it RIGHT), coconut connection (super refrehing hangover cure)just meh / would not recommend: spring rolls (tasted pre-made and stale), special sauce (the smell of it is not my preference), the iced fruit teas (mostly ice and kind of expensive)everyone here is super friendly. make sure to get on the yelp waitlist before you arrive! the wait can get crazy on a sunday afternoon. i once waited over an hour because it's really just that good."
"I have been sick and store bought soups are worthless. How wonderful to find a delicious, cozy little soup spot near me that serves fresh, hot, packed soups of nutritional value that are just what the doctor ordered to help me regain my strength. They have much more than soup too. I'll be back because if their soup was this amazing, I'm sure the rest of the menu is too."
"Silk Thai has really impressed me with their Lovely food Great service, and awesome ambience. The quality of foodie superb. This is definitely authentic Thai food that reminds me of home in Thailand."
"Been wanting to try this place mostly because I love egg noodles and I actually prefer dry noodles. This restaurant in garden grove serves dishes that are $9.99 and everything on their menu is delicious. My friends practically ordered half the menu and I needed to try all of them cuz I knew I'd want to go back. They serve dry noodles and soup noodles and appetizers. Service was excellent and very fast! I was more impressed with their noodle dishes versus their appetizers. I also had the green thai tea and tasted the herbal tea and both were good and would definitely get again. I'm already craving this place and will ask them to add extra quail eggs in my noodles."
"This pho was ok.....was it the best...no but it satisfied my craving for some soup! Service was pretty quick and the prices were decent. This place was very casual and not fancy at all."
"Made a 20min drive out to check out this 3 time Michelin Star winner restaurant. I am surprised to see reviews on bad customer service because our experience was nice and it was busy. I can understand maybe a language barrier with the gentlemen bringing out the food but our waitress Yoshiko (name on the receipt) was great and taking care of every single table. It is a small place so expect a wait at peak hour. The food did not disappoint everything was great. I would not make the drive out but I'd definitely pay them another visit if I'm conveniently in the area."
"The tsukemen was good and flavorful! They use my favorite type of noodles for the ramen and load you up with the toppings, which I thought was very generous. If you check in on Yelp, you get 2 free toppings, so I definitely took advantage of that! Our server Tristan was so amazing and hooked us up with free sides/toppings for us to try. They were the perfect pairing to the meal!"
"Let's get to it. Yum and yum. I stopped by for lunch and tried their phở Bắc đặc biệt & bánh mi que pate. Bánh mi que - try it with or without the lemon grass chili sate on the table! One of my 2 top bánh mi que in the area. The other spot that wins my tastebuds is Trung Nguyên E-Legend's. You've got better ones in mind? Please do share--I'm dying to hear about them! Pho - fresh wide noodles with the perfect softness! Broth well-balanced not as fatty and meat very tender. 10/10 would visit again and again!"
"Still one of my favorite soup places in OC. I come here strictly for their Hainan soup! Looks like they are currently offering a special on all you can eat noodles. Some tables are communal."
"The Soup Shop on Euclid/Ball is our go-to for awesome late-nite food after a long day at Disneyland. Chianti and all of the night crew are efficient, attentive and friendly, even when it gets close to their closing time. With Disneyland employees and guests both heading over after the park, the restaurant is still bustling at 1am! Just be sure to be there before 1 and if they still have room, they'll be able to seat you.The rib-eye and rib bone pho options are both excellent and our kids love the popcorn chicken. With such consistently excellent service and food quality, we're regulars even though we're not locals!"

The line here can be a hit or miss. From getting seated immediately to waiting over an hour. The people don't seem very friendly here, but there are some who are and helpful. When you walk in, it's either loud or quiet depending on how many tables are full. The food here is pretty consistent and honestly, in the area, one of my faves. The Szechuan chicken actually has good pieces of chicken whereas some places give scraps. The beef noodle dish we got was spicy but really good! The green beans were delicious! We got a fish dish and it was spicy.... But really good as well! The beef roll is always a must. (If you have leftovers, take home and air fry)We also ordered dumplings in spicy sauce but didn't come out even when we almost done so we cancelled it. Kind of sad that it was taking so long and we didn't my get to eat it... Next time...

This is one of our favorite restaurants! Our usual go to orders are the RP bowl and beef and meat ball (with thin egg noodles) with the soup out and an order of cha kuai (fried bread) Drinks are Buy 1 get 1/2 off (while it's not clearly stated on the menu, there's a sign out front or you can ask the waiter when you're ordering to confirm). We like to get the Ice Coffee and Coconut ConnectionThis is related to the iconic Phnom Penh Noodle shack, but this location is bigger and has easier parking so it's worth the drive from Long Beach. They have indoor and outdoor seating and can accommodate groups. Tip: If you don't feel like waiting on busy days, you could sometimes ask them to be seated at the bar for faster service

I hate to take away a star, but it would be really great if Soup Shop had at least one English speaker able to answer the phone at all times. I called today to put in a pick up order, and the person answered in another language. No problem, I'm used to it. I said, "Hi, can I put in an order for pickup?" And the woman immediately hung up. Unfortunately this has happened before, so I decided to be patient and call back. Maybe she panicked and someone else would answer the phone this time. I was not planning on complaining. I called back, and it rang for a LONG time, before disconnecting. I really don't like to complain, especially about service; It was just very abrupt and rude. But I guess they have the right to refuse service to anyone...I found another pho place and ordered from there.

The interior is very nice and clean. It looks pretty modern. The pricing is decent, a little pricey to compare with my favorite Thai restaurants . Pad Thai here was delicious! It wasn't too oily, I had the right amount of sauce (some places put too much), and it wasn't dry.Tom Yum The soup was great as well. It had the right amount of sweet with a mildly sour taste.Papaya salad and fried fish was tasty ,i like the sauce. Each plate is full of flavor. Customer service exelente

Food: $9.99 menu was an awesome deal! They have really good dry noodles. I would recommend #2 on the menu and #6, definitely worth the price. The portion is big which is nice. Fried calamari was a big disappointment for $11.99! No sauce, no flavor, just bland and it clumps together. I would not recommend it, better off getting saté wontons. Service: good service, they're fast at taking the order. But, the food comes out slow and not consistent. Ambiance: very nice and clean restaurant. They have a lot of worker going around cleaning and the place is spacious.

One of my favorite places to eat spring rolls at. Very fresh and delicious. I also LOVE their broth. It's decadent with tender pieces of meat. The staff is very sweet and always in a good mood. Very chill vibe. The mango and lychee smoothies are amazing. The boba is perfect and caramelized, chewy too

I've been enjoying the food here for years. Tao is well known for its miso and tsukemen ramen. If you like miso-style ramen, this place is for you. Although I have to watch my sodium intake these days, I occasionally treat myself to a heart-warming bowl or one of their rice bowls. My go-to ramen is the tsukemen, which has cold, thick noodles and warm, miso-savory broth. The Chashu Red Miso Ramen has a flavorful, bold broth and thick noodles. The chashu slices have a meaty texture, and have tender fat ends. If you like food with a kick, check out the spicy options. The regular-size ramen is also filling and more than enough for me to finish. The chicken ramen is also a delicious option if you prefer a lighter yet flavorful broth. The thin noodles and chicken slices were cooked well. Combos are also great options if you are hungry. The gyoza and karange are my favorite starters. Don't sleep on the rice bowls! My favorite is the Beef Bowl, reminiscent of the Japanese-style gyudon bowls from the most popular franchises in Japan. It features thin-cut meat with fatty pieces, sauteed onions, and a flavorful sauce that seeps into the rice. The staff at Tao has been consistently kind and accommodating every time I've dined here. Despite the limited dining space, the service and food quality make it worth the visit. It reminds me of a local ramen joint in Japan. I'm glad there are more top-rated ramen options in OC. The story behind the chef and shop is also interesting and available on their website.

"I don't understand why this place is so highly rated. My friend and I ordered 2 bowls of Bun Mam. My bowl was brought out first. The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was still raw because it hadn't completely thawed. I was so hungry that I left the fish and ate the meat and fish cake. The roast pork was very hard to chew . I had almost finished 1/2 my bowl but my friend's bowl still hadn't been brought out. Meanwhile, the two of us ordered 2 bowls of Bun Mam at the same time. And I reminded the waiter, my friend's bowl of Bun Mam was also brought out and the result wasn't any better than mine. The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was raw like mine. After that, I had diarrhea all night. It was scary. Opening a restaurant requires a conscience and careful cooking to serve customers, otherwise no one will dare to come back to eat."
"Korean food makes me happy...If I'm starving, it's a good time for Korean food!If I'm pretty full, it's a good time for Korean food!I was able to try MDK Noodle on two separate occasions, and it was good both times. The interior is minimalistic at best....almost sterile. The waitstaff rushes around with pushcarts filled with menus, banchan, and water...it's pretty fun to watch. They shoot over to your table drop everything off, and they are gone!Once they come back around, you are able to order....and then they show up with your food on the cart. Its that simple! The surprising part was that you never receive tableware or napkins. There is a hidden shelf built into your table and everything is inside! The dishes we tried were tasty and the portion size was decent. We weren't blown away by the flavors, but it was satisfying. The items were a little expensive for what they was...but that's everything nowadays...This is your place if you need a quick, expedited sit-down Korean restaurant. It's relatively fast, and you can eat and get out of there if you really need to.Enjoy!"
"Delicious authentic Japanese dishes, friendly and efficient service. It feels that you are in Japan without the airfare The young couple are wonderful people."
"Tried out their vermicelli bowl with chicken with Thai tea and I loved it. Fresh, warm and delicious."
"On cold days, a big bowl of hot noodle soup always sounds so comforting and delicious! The shrimp broth is what Le Shrimp is known for, but I wanted to switch things up from my usual order and try the spicy chicken broth with delicious dark meat chicken and wide noodles. This dish really hit the spot! The chicken was tender and full of yummy five spice flavor, and the noodles were chewy and extremely satisfying. The broth was just spicy enough and very savory. I couldn't get enough of it!Would definitely order this again and I think it would also be a really nice dish if I'm feeling under the weather. Service was friendly and the ambiance at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar is casual. They're pretty efficient too so we got in and out fairly quickly.Look forward to our next visit!"
"This little hidden gem is so delicious! You wouldn't know it by the area or the ambiance of the restaurant itself. Nothing special in regard to the small and very minimal decorated inside of the restaurant. Only 5 tables and a tiny bar stool area. Kind of reminds me of something you would find in Thailand. The food was delicious! And can I say, I can never really get a good papaya salad that is more on Thai style vs westernized. What I mean is, o get it.., Americans do not like that fishy, liming, salty, a little bit of sweetness goodiness like you would find in Thailand. It's usually on the more bland side too. And for over the spiciness... I can never really get the right heat! I could have gotten the extra spicy here... still they could have made it a bit more Thai style...Food: * Papaya salad - good taste and flavor, could use a bit more fish sauce or some sort of on the fisher side... I do love it when they use raw crab in papaya salad or dry shrimp. Still very tasty and I would definitely order it again. * spicy basil with beef- very yummy! * pad sew ew- cooked very well. * Chinese broccoli with pork- yummy! Everything was so good! Can't complain about anything except maybe their portion was on the smaller side... but very tasty and I would come back. Too bad I don't live near by, wish there was a place like this near me. Tip: The bathroom you have to go thru their kitchen to use it."
"The only thing I've tried at this place is the Halo Halo and it is the BEST I've ever had. Crushed ice, jelly cubes, red bean, condensed milk, rice crispies, ube, and softened sweet bamboo (I think it's bamboo). So freaking good, and it's not too sweet. Just right for those who don't like overly sweet desserts. I've had 3 of these in one week. A little pricey at $9 a pop, so will have to reserve this dessert for a 'treat yo self' occasion."
"Love that you're able to call in your order and pick up without having to wait . Staff is courteous and make this an over all great place to order"
"Delicious and flavorful. This place is a cute and intimate restaurant like how it would be in Japan. Definitely try the naked shrimp, it's a must. Everyone is really cheery and nice. You can watch the staff cook through the glass window as well."
"New fav spot!10/10 super delicious! The staff is always chill and very friendly! They're serving up amazing hospitality! Also, the cooks know how to get down on the food! Shout out to the server James today! He was very sweet and helpful!"
"Yum Thai Bistro's service, food and ambiance were all excellent. Jay, our amazing and delightful server, carefully explained each dish and delivered them at our table with perfect timing. The Yum Thai Starter, a combination of golden shrimp, veggie crispy rolls & crispy wontons, was the perfect appetizer. We followed up with tasty chow mein, pad thai and garlic pepper. Chef Tommy is top-notch!The decor was inviting. The bathrooms immaculate. We promised each other to go back during mango season for the mango with sticky rice, one of my favorite desserts. We highly recommend Yum Thai Bistro."
"Ordered the beef broth with veggies only & A green tea Thai tea. I went here when my throat, nose, lungs, stomach, gums everything was sore in my body, I couldn't breathe, bite, and this pho soothed my whole body, I didn't have to worry about my sensitive gums because I was able to slurp the noodles & broth. I asked for extra chili oil to add in my pho & the way the chili blended with the broth, veggies & noodles were perfect. The drink was perfect ! I crave this pho everyday now!"
"A gem of a find!We stopped here on the recommendation of a friend, we were nor disappointed! I had the Iron Chef Mapo Yaki and my wife had the Donporo Ramen upon the suggestion by the waitress, there were so many choices. The Mapo Yaki had a slight sweet flavor with a hint of spice. Very delicious, the noodles were cooked well and the sauce was very flavorful. The Donporo was equally delicious, the meat was tender and tasty. We shared the 6 piece Gyoza, soft and delicious, it paired well with the sauce from the Mapo Yaki. The food came fast and the service was great, never had to ask for anything except a to-go box.Parking is no problem, but the place fills up fast! There is a bar if no tables are available. Not a huge space but I didn't see a huge line on a Saturday night.Highly recommend, definitely looking forward to a return trip to try the other entrées!!!"
"Pho Nic is one of those rare spots where the energy is always calm, no matter how busy it gets. My sister is autistic and easily overstimulated, but we come here every single Sunday because the atmosphere is consistently peaceful. It's never chaotic, never overwhelming. The customer service is another standout. The staff is proactive, accommodating, and never rushed. Even when it's busy, they handle everything with ease, making sure you're taken care of without feeling hurried or brushed off.The food: it's solid and feels health-conscious. It's not mind-blowing or the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, but it's decent. The shrimp wontons are packed with actual shrimp (no filler), the egg rolls are crisp without being too greasy, and overall, the quality is there. Plus, the location is super convenient. If you're looking for a place with good food, great service, and a consistently welcoming vibe, Pho Nic delivers every time."
"I just ordered from this place and found the food to be delicious, I usually have to place a special order for my food, I don't mind waiting, due to allergies and such I usually have to ask for no onions , no cabbage and no garlic. However, they are always accommodating and quick and always get my order correct. Thank you so much"
"This place has been here for decades and I feel bad that I never gave it a try until now! It shares a kitchen with the now-closed Banh Canh (vietnamese udon) place across the street and so they have 2 menus! There is so much to choose from! I got the wonton BBQ pork soup and my cousin got the recommended banh canh #15; both were solid. The BBQ pork in the soup was delish. Banh canh was actually very good too; you could get the broth more thickened or a thinner broth. My cousin ate the entire thing and said she's definitely coming back. The lady serving tables was so sweet too. She had recommended the banh beo but we had no stomach space. I presume the owner was the elderly gentleman who came by our table to ask how everything tasted. He was also very sweet and happy we enjoyed the food. Definitely coming back with a bigger party next time so we could try different things!"
"We went there on a whim, saw it on Yelp and it had good reviews and it was close to us.The food was delicious! We started with the Seaweed Salad, fresh and crisp, the dressing had a nice flavor. We also had the Grilled Beef Tongue, it sounded interesting and it was marked as an Akatsuki's Choice. It was great, tender and flavorful,a good choice. We also had the House Hot Pot, of course the Akatsuki's Special with Yuzu and Salt and the Udon Set. Just know that the mochi comes in a big chunk so if you're sharing, be sure to split it. All great!!! Not sure if this was a factor, but when we ordered the Hot Pot, they moved us to a booth, I'm pretty sure because of the size of the Hot Pot and stove (they cook it at the table) so we needed more elbow room. The service was great, good attention and fast. No complaints! The ambiance was good and clean bathrooms! All in all a great experience, I would go again just to try one of the other Hot Pots or the Udon. A table adjacent had curry and sashimi, those looked fantastic!"
"Came here one evening based on reviews and was in need of some nice broth. Service was great, place was clean and employees were very tentative. Bummer was we waited about 15 minutes for our food once ordered. We asked the waiter as there was only one other party dining, is are food almost ready and the gentleman said yes give it a minute or two, next thing we know the microwave bell goes off and out comes our food, I'm like damn what a bummer-he microwaved pho. I was hungry, scooped a spoon full of broth and it was luke warm! I asked the dude hey put it back in the microwave another 10 minutes and should be good to go lol.Never went back and probably will avoid this type of restaurant. I mean just put the broth in a pot, turn on stove heat add the goods and serve it up hot n proper. I won't comment on wilted veggies and quality of cuts in my pho."
"My coworker ordered this for her lunch and it smelled so delicious that I asked her where she ordered from. Pad see ew - the aroma itself is enticing. The noodles were aldente and had a good wok flavor. Pad Thai - equally tasty, not too sweet. Portions are big and around $15. The shop is small and the staff was friendly."
"This place was a very nice surprise. We were staying in the area and saw that it had a really great rating - turns out it was fully deserved. We got kimchi fried rice, some dumplings and combo tempura, all of which was a hit with the whole family. The service was fast and helpful. We were in and out for a fast lunch. We're in town for a week and we're planning to come again. Delicious!"
"Just for the bun bo hue.Tasty and all the meats were tender, the blood cake was very clean .Service was gracious and fastCareful with the side serving of hot sauce ,it is NOT sriracha .Lit me up like a Christmas tree \but it was soooo good"
"Mai Thai is our go to spot for Thai food whether we want take out or dine in.The dining room is good for 1 or a group. The staff takes their time to explain every little detail to the picky eaters or novelist Thai food eaters. The drinks come up super fast. And honestly no one waits long for the food. Family style portions for food.... Well each plate va. Be for 1-3 people for sure.If you love Pad Thai. Go with Pad See Ewe. It is a very special treat especially if you are a creature of habit and always order the same thing. But want go try something new.The pineapple rice is AMaZiNG! Very flavorful. It's a fav of mine. This time around my companion ordered the dick curry with a level 3 spice and loved it. I'm not a fan of duck so I didn't give get a try. But the bowl was fully, meaty and packed with all kinds of extras.Soda, water, beer, wine, hot tea and Thai Tea are all served here. Don't complain you are thirsty because all the glasses are large.Enjoy!"
"It was a chilly evening so my boyfriend and I were looking for something soupy for dinner. We decided to get tofu soup at Myung Dong Tofu House. It was really busy the time we came in, and there were a lot of Korean friend groups and families dining here, so it's probably authentic. One funny thing about this menu, is that it calls out a limit of a maximum of 2 side dish refills. We were actually neglected the whole time and didn't get anyyyy side dish refills. If you love side dishes, this isn't a spot for you. My boyfriend and I shared a BBQ Beef Short Rib (Galbi) + Tofu Soup Combination ($32.99) and a BBQ Sliced Beef Rib Eye (Bulgogi) + Tofu Soup Combination ($28.99). My boyfriend got the Clam Tofu Soup and I got the Beef Tofu Soup as part of the combos. The side dishes and fried fish came out first. The side dishes were average. The fried fish was on the soft side, lacking crispiness. Surprisingly the meats and rice came out before the tofu soups. They left our rice in the metal pot and warned us it was hot and to move it around with the wood thing it was sitting on. I saw other tables where staff scooped out the rice for them, but not with us. My tofu soup had good flavor, but not much beef bits inside the soup. The meats were well marinated. There was too much fillers like onions in the bulgogi for my liking. The galbi had good taste but the meat was a little tough. The perfect balance of a meal for a cold evening. We both felt full, and I had a little leftover for the next day. We had to waive down staff for boxes and the check. We got boxes first, a wrong size box and then a new box... thennnn still no check after a while. So we waived down a different staff member for the check. Still a nice meal for the most part, but I don't live close enough to be in a hurry to come back."
