"Our first time visiting, with a toddler nonetheless, and B-Line (the owner) showed us great hospitality! We ordered the Cali burrito and a chicken quesadilla for our 3 year old daughter. The Cali burrito has that chewy, translucent tortilla that is crispy on the outside, yet stretchy/ chewy/ soft on the inside. I freakin' love tortillas like that! Burrito was well constructed that each bite had carne asada, fries, and the fixings. Loved the melted, gooey cheese, too!Kids chicken quesadilla could have been an adult entree. Loaded with perfectly grilled and tender chicken chunks. Came with a side of beans and rice. My daughter is a picky eater and she was devouring her quesadilla like there was no tomorrow.Thai tea horchata was so unique and yum! Highly recommend. We opted to dine in. B-Line brought us a high-chair and told us that he'd bus the table when we were done. He had a huge catering order that he was working on and he ended up sharing some leftover mac and cheese with my daughter. Again, the picky toddler devoured that mac and cheese immediately.Service was awesome. Food was great - the yelp stars don't lie. Parking is free, in a strip mall lot. Apple pay FTW. There's a constant flow of people coming in to order/ dine in and pickup for take-out. Only a few tables inside so I think most people opt for take-out. I can't wait to come back and try some new items off the menu."

"I recently visited Antojitos Mexicanos for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with their food. I ordered the Alambre plate, which features grilled diced tender Angus Sirloin Flap, bell peppers, onions, chorizo, bacon, and melted cheese, served with rice, beans, and handmade corn tortillas. It was absolutely delicious. My wife tried the Chilaquiles Divorciados, which is half in red sauce and half in green sauce, served with rice and beans. You can add eggs and your choice of meat for an additional price.The menu offers a nice variety of Mexican dishes, including pozole verde, huaraches, flautas, pambazo, and enchiladas, among others. The location is small and situated in a shopping center with available parking but they can accommodate a large part. The service was outstanding; our server was very attentive, and the owner even checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal. Their hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.I will gladly return to Antojitos Mexicanos for their great food and warm service."

"I really wanted to like this place, but just didn't. We came on a random weekday and the parking was super easy. We walked in and we're seated immediately. It was crazy hot and humid that day, so to start I ordered a glass of ice water. The waiter tried to get me to order a margarita, and then tried up sell me on three different types of water that weren't actually just water. When I said I just wanted basic ice water, he said was going to bring me tap water from Mexico, his joke was not appreciated. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and ended up with the chicken mole plate, which coincidentally costs $4-$5 more. I didn't say anything about the error, but after the water thing, I really wondered if this was accidental or intentional. I also ordered a hard shell beef taco. Overall the food was good, but I felt like the prices were high for what they offered. The service was also extremely slow on a day that wasn't busy, and there was an issue with flies. I shouldn't have had to keep shooing flies away in an indoor setting. In the future, if someone else reallllly wanted to eat here I'd be fine with it, but this isn't anywhere I'd rush back to."

Parking: 5/5 in a huge lot next to North Gate si parking is a non issue.Food: 5/5 We decided to try some tacos Baja shrimp, birria, spicy shrimp and gobernador and boy I'm glad we did. They are made with tortillas he has a mano and they're pretty big! It had some delicious tasty salsas and it's garnishments! No need for extra salsas. The shrimp gobernador came in threes $12 and the tortillas were a little fried with melted cheese really really tasty! I took some nachos home and ate them later on. Prices are less than regular so about 4 dollars per taco. We got our agua Fresca with our check in. Super refreshing. Ambiance: 5/5 it's not a full restaurant but more of a quick meal. No frills just straight to the point! It's a decorated with lots of cute indigenous curtains and has a picture of mom with the chancla. I was glad I stopped by. This will be a place I would definitely come back to if I'm in the area! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!"

The flavors all came together really well. My only preference would be to cut the salmon in smaller cubes. Otherwise, a must get! Queso Fundito - everyone loved this! Definitely cheesy with the cheese pull. Comp Chips and Salsa - loved both salsas! The creamy avocado was cooling and the roasted salsa had a great smokey flavor. Chips were fresh! Baja Shrimp Burrito - my coworkers brought this back for me and it was great! It is a huge portion! I probably only ate half the burrito and hunted for the rest of the shrimp. Grilled shrimp were huge and in every bite. The pico is a bit spicy but good. Love the chipotle crema! I'd get this againSurf and Turf Queso Tacos - the steak and grilled shrimp were super yum with the cheese. However, they are pretty greasy. I'd probably get the regular tacos next time. I asked for a side of the chipotle crema and put some on this, yum! Cloud 9 - pink guava and coconut cream with shredded toasted coconut on top. Yum! Parking is street only so we got to park about 2 blocks away. I'd suggest coming at an odd time to get better parking as there were many spots open when we left. Definitely recommended!"

Tidepoole is well known to both the locals and tourists of Newport Beach. Their storefront is front and center on PCH, so it's truly hard to miss. I stopped by today after attending a nearby yoga class and grabbed a bite to-go. Their menu was straight forward, with options like sandwiches, pizzas, light sides, etc. I ordered the Charlie Sammy: sourdough, pesto, artichoke, provolone, tomatoes, and arugula. I also paid extra to add chicken as protein. The meal was delicious and served with a sliced pickle. The restaurant was close to empty, but I bet it stays jam packed during the summer months. Despite the slow season, parking is still tough. You'll find street parking available in the nearby residential neighborhoods. Luckily it's a nice walk, so don't let this small hiccup keep you from visiting!"

The place is relatively small so not that great for big groups .We ordered menudo large and two carne asada tacos. They brought us out three tacos an extra pastor which I thought was an error but confirmed that they wanted us to try it. Wow praise GOD we got blessed :) the tacos were really good! The restaurant can get busy at times and I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable.There were no reservations available on a Saturday night, but we took a chance and went anyway. With no delay, we were seated at a high-top table in the bar area which also hosts one of several regular seating areas. The restaurant has a trendy feel and has a lot of multi-colored lighting and great décor. The restrooms are even well decorated and have an upscale feel. The bar looks nice and there are several TVs which had sports on.It took about ten minutes for a server to initially come to our table, but after that the service was smooth and timely. Chips and salsa are not complementary but we ordered some anyway. The chips were nice and fresh and the salsa had good flavor and some heat that slowly creeps up on you. I enjoyed a jalapeno margarita which had a perfect mix of tequila, mixer, and spice and I always like the Tajin rim. She liked the Sol De Passion cocktail but would have rather had a full drink without the champagne shot on the side. We asked the server if you're supposed to pour it in and he said some people do and some just have it on the side.I had the Yucatan shrimp which was a great dish. There were a lot of shrimp inside and the tomatillo sauce had a light heat to it. The rice was nice and fluffy and I think I tasted a little touch of lime. I usually do not like beans, especially when they contain whole beans. But surprisingly these beans were delicious and I actually ate them all. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is only the second place where I actually really enjoyed the beans. She really enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos. The quality and flavor of the food is always most important, but it's nice when the presentation is good also and these were nice looking entrees.This is the second time we have dined here and we will definitely be back again."
