"Today once again, I visited Sahara Falafel. The customer service was warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional, well seasoned and portions were great. I ordered the combo sandwich and my husband order a falafel sandwich along with a humus plate. Deeelicious! It was so nice to dine in and pause for a moment from our busy day. Thank you, (JazakAllah khairen) Sahara Falafel for being a halal staple in our community."
"1-18-2025 We - one of my gfs and I decided to venture to this establishment for a late lunch. She had the golden platter and I opted for the filet mignon and lamb kabobs combo. Lots of choices on their menu. Our food was served quickly and flavorful. Not much ambiance. Just six tables. Definitely casual. This place is on Warner, across the Jack in the Box on PCH. Behind the gas station next to Subway."

"Fun Middle Eastern Experience.....Pros: Excellent food. Big menu. Very friendly service.Cons: Parking can be tough during weekend eveningsStar Ratings:- Overall: 5- Location: 4- Ambiance: 4- Menu: 5- Food Quality: 5- Food Portions: 5- Service: 5- Price: 5- Value: 5- Parking: 3My wife and I were in the eastern suburbs of Los Angeles during the Veterans Day weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday in the family. On Saturday night, 9 of us went to a long time favorite restaurant in the heart of Fullerton.....Les Amis. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- Location: Central. Right in the core of downtown Fullerton (which is also a con...see below).- Menu: Large. Les Amis bills itself as "Lebanese", but the menu had lots of Middle Eastern favorites from areas outside Lebanon.- Quality of Food: Excellent. My wife and I had the "Mediterranean Shrimp" platter ($31) which they describe as "skewers of shrimp with vegetables in a cayenne pepper, lemon zest marinade and garlic butter sauce accompanied by hummus, pita bread and side salad". It looked and tasted as good as it sounds.I don't know what other members of the family had, but everyone seemed satisfied. The table shared 2 plates of a dessert called "Chocolate Biscuit" ($9) which was pudding inside a soft biscuit served in bite sized pieces. It was mighty good.- Service: Very friendly. The owner's family took care of our large table and were always around to help out.- Atmosphere: Casual and popular. Most of the tables in the main room and large outdoor patio were occupied during our 90 minute meal. Nice vibes.- Parking: Plenty when it's not busy. Not much on a weekend evening.Cons:- Location: About a block from the Times Square of Fullerton which means the location is easier to find than parking on weekends.....even though there's a big lot right behind the restaurant.- Parking: See above. It just depends on the day and time.Overall, Les Amis is a fine choice for Middle Eastern food with a focus on Lebanese specialties."
"My absolute favorite mediteranian food outside the valley. It's hard finding decent Lebanese food when you eat the real stuff at home. Dad used to take me here growing up, flavors are authentic, everything is cooked well. 5/5 fat boy recommended"
"Another hidden gem in a strip mall, this time in Cypress. The outside looks older and the menus/signs not well maintained, but don't let that deter you from trying Mama's Kabab. Ordered the combo plate with salad which had kafta kebab, chicken kebab and I think beef shawarma with a generous serving of salad and hummus as well as pita and garlic sauce. The chicken and beef were both fantastic; both tasty and tender. The only complaint I have is the kafta kebab was a little overcooked and thus dry. The pita was okay but also a little dry.Reasonable price for a generous portion. Team is quiet but welcoming. Would definitely come back if in the area."
"This is the best Persian restaurant I've been to. They have cooked to order stews, and rice specialities. The salmon is delicious. The pomegranate Persian chicken stew is to die for. I frequently order a rice, chicken, and beef family platter and add a salad. It's a great deal and a ton of food. When I have friends and family over everyone loves it.This is a small family owned restaurant and the owners cook the meals and are there every time I go.They are friendly and the portions are generous. The Persian tea is also very tasty, don't forget to have some.Very small restaurant, quiet, and romantic dim light setting. Great for private parties, receptions, and events. Also great for date night."
"Our friend took us to this restaurant to have dinner and listen to the live band, unfortunately the live band is on vacation this month. This place has a cool vibes to it. It has some beautiful pictures of the Greek Isles on the wall and in the bathroom wall. Our server was good. We ordered Mousaka, Stuffed Bell Pepper, Greek Salad with Gyro. Every dish was delicious! The Gyro was tender and moist. The Mousaka was well seasoned. Definitely will come back. This is one of the better Greek restaurant in OC."
"It's all about the food the ambiance and vibe. I have eaten here for many years the restaurant is setup and located inside the liquor store in back of the store they only have a two sets of two person seating tables it's clean the staff are chill always nice and ordering is easy low key just order take it home is what most people do. Chicken Kebabs Grilled perfectly and seasoned well it comes with rice a small salad and hummus and pita it's very good and that salad dressing is the bomb I'd suggest you buy an extra one and eat it with the chicken this meal was a 8/10 it was so good I ate all of the salad and had a lot of rice and chicken leftover. Hummus delicious but the pita bread is mid and not homemade it will do but I prefer it made fresh. 7/10 Strawberry cheesecake Delicious very buttery crust and soo good. Side salad I ordered a larger one to go and bought an extra salad dressing that was divine it's a yogurt based garlicky sauce and I love it. Green sauce For dipping the chicken in this one is tasty. Tsaziki sauce Creamy garlicky and soo bomb I always buy extra. I definitely recommend that you give them a try there's so much more on that menu grilled salmon beef kebabs falafel gyros and more. Just me Shawn C. ; )"
"Great service Food is amazing Small parking lot Reasonable priceOur first time at this location but not our first time trying The Green Olive. It really never disappoints , food is always so fresh and delicious! The most authentic falafel you'll ever have and the baklava is so decadent! The restaurant doesn't look that exciting from the outside or inside but the food is what makes this place worth wild !!"
"Excellent Excellent Excellent. This place was recommended by a friend, so I thought I would give it a try as part of my Mediterranean food extravaganza. I tried various dishes at over a dozen Mediterranean restaurants in a 6-month period. This place is one of my top 3 favorites. The beef kabob and the lamb chops are excellent. The flavor is extremely delicious and the flavor float on your tongue even after you leave the restaurant. The Greek salad always taste so fresh! I have brought at least two friends to this place, and they agreed the lambchops are great. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly, and they check in on you very often throughout your dining experience. The ambiance is great. So cute and quaint. The place is small, so I always try to get their early for dinner. The parking outside the restaurant is metered."
"Went to Wood and Salt Tavern to celebrate my friend's birthday and have to say this was a great choice! We picked the carajillo for our drinks which was a great recommendation as we both wanted an espresso martini. The short rib hash was perfect. Juicy and and tender the meat was amazing with the egg and hash! The chicken Parmesan was a great choice too! The cheese on top was just the touch that made it next level! We were so surprised when our server brought in the birthday ice cream even though we didn't mention it to him! Although he did see our IDs when we got our drinks, it made us feel good that he was attentive!"
"Food is always good here. We all had beef koobideh kabob dishes. Service is spot on, "Q" was very attentive and the ambiance was warm and cozy. Plenty if parking. We'll be back."

wow Shawarma!!! If any one really understands what does Taste means , then definitely I recommend you to try Sahara Falafel . Must try it. It's really mouth watering food. They choose shawarma ingredients for the best flavor and of course for stomach healthy food. Many people make shawarmas but taste is not in everyone's hand. So go to Sahara Falafel then you will FEEL what I wrote about shawarma here for you . Bcoz I am taste lover and I know what taste means . Not by words but practically by taste of food. Owner is very nice humble person and whatever you want from him , he will make accordingly for your taste. TRY

A hidden gem in Huntington Beach. Small family owned restaurant that serves quality Middle Eastern food! The filet mignon (medium-rare) entree is my go-to order every time. The meat is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. This entree is served with a generous portion of fresh pita bread that always comes out piping hot!Today we decided to try their Seabass on their new seafood menu and it was very good as well.Highly recommend adding this to your next food adventure!

The food at Les Ami is excellent! It's a Mediterranean vibe and the decor is amazing. They even have live entertainment some days, you can call ahead and find out. There is a large, nice patio to dine on or inside at tables or the bar and there's also a speakeasy that opens at night. We were just popping in for a drink and appetizers, so we tried the garlic shrimp and the fried cauliflower. Both were wonderful! I highly recommend Les Amis and will be returning again soon. The owners could not have been any nicer.

I like that you can bring your dogs here and sit on the patio. The water comes with lemon. It's a nice touch. The seats have pillows so you don't have to sit on a hard seat. I like that the pita comes out and it's warm and it has butter packs that are individually wrapped. I appreciate these little touches. The food is all so yummy

Good, delicious, fresh food hidden in a liquor store? Yes please! Everything here was delicious and the service is excellent. Attentive and friendly staff. The servings are generous and it's just an overall good experience. Perfect for takeout when you don't want to cook but still want to eat healthy. Cannot recommend it enough.

"Irvine Grill in the Quail Hill Shopping Center has become one of my favorite weekend indulgences. This charming Persian restaurant never disappoints with its flavorful and delicious cuisine. The Persian rice is simply irresistible, and the Koobideh combo is always a must--my son insists I bring it home if he's not dining with me!While the indoor dining area can get busy (a testament to how popular this place is), I always opt for the lovely patio seating. There's nothing better than enjoying a meal al fresco, especially with the consistently beautiful weather we have in Southern California. The service is warm and attentive, and every visit feels like a treat. Irvine Grill is my go-to spot for authentic Persian flavors, and I can't recommend it enough."
"Food: 4 starsPrice and Quantity: 5 starsService: 3 starsI totally understand why there is always either a lot of customers waiting to be seated, and what the hype is about. Every time I had passed by, or was in the area, there were always a crowd of people, so I knew I had to put it on my "to try" list - though it took me a few years to visit, until Black Friday (of all days). As I was waiting for my friends to arrive (which I purposefully arrived 15-mins early to see if I could add my name to the "possible" waitlist), the restaurant started to fill up by 12:30 pm (both the interior and the patio seating). We opted to sit outside as the inside was full, and it was a bit more "airy" outside as well.Hummus Trio (A Must) $9.99Combination of Garbanzo, Spicy Red Bell Pepper Hummus (switched out for Tzatziki), and Edamame Hummus. (TRUE VEGAN) Served with Grilled Artisan Bread.Ordering was fast, and the food came out as expected, with the Hummus Trio arriving first. With the cooler weather, 2 (out of 3) of us also asked for hot water with lemon, which they also never refilled... good thing I had water in my bag as I was getting thirsty. When the entrees were brought out, I was surprised at the portions! Those are not 1-person entrees, they are totally shareable and I was amazed at the affordability of it! (Just the other week, I had Mediterranean down the street - which I will not name the restaurant, the to-go portion was like a child's meal and it cost me in the $20's for an entrée and the quality was not even up there.) I had the Charbroiled Chicken Shish Kabob and the chicken pieces were very tender and I loved the grilled vegetables. The Mediterranean Greek Salad was fresh and very tasty. I do wish the pita bread in the Humus Trio was a bit warmer, but it probably got cold as it was sitting on the table, outside on the patio.Everything tasted delicious (quality) and we all had food (to share) or for dinner. I would most definitely return and try the many other dishes that caught my eye. Great place to meet up with friends and catch up as well. Service is a bit on the younger side, but they are very kind. Due to the smaller storefront, I see why there could be a wait for a table, so expect a wait during busy times. Parking can also be a bit difficult with the amount of storefronts in this plaza."
"Unassuming in a strip mall behind Mr. V's Bar and Grill, but we were extremely impressed with the quality and taste of everything we ordered. We were coming here after walking the SFS Swap Meet for hours, so we were hungry and the food and portion size did not disappoint. We ordered the falafel plate, tabbouleh salad, grape leaves, and a cucumber yogurt salad. The pickled vegetables were crisp and fresh. The grape leaves were tart and bright and the falafel was crispy on the outside and steamy on the inside without being too greasy. We had a great meal and would definitely come back."
"Came in on Friday nite, what a hidden gem! I ordered the chicken and beef plate which was $17.99. It's a bit pricy but kid you not...it's worth the price. The plate is big enough to share with two people. The meats are tender and flavorful. The rice is just cooked right with good taste of salad on the side. My partner ordered the falafel salad which was full of flavor also. Falafel isn't dry and not overly oily or heavy dressing. It came with a basket of pita bread huge portion. We can't wait to go back!"
"First time trying this restaurant. First of all the service is really good. The employees come around the tables to find out if everything is ok. However, since you order your food before you sit down people can take a table and even though you were their first. It would be fair if you can only get a table after you order. For the food we ordered the appetizer sampler which was good. Also, ordered the grilled shrimp place with cauliflower rice which was good as well. Our last dish was the seared ahi salad which was bad. There was no sear to the ahi and it was very bland. I will give it another try and hope the food we choose next time will be tastier."
"I can't believe I've been to this plaza for YEARS and I've never tried this place out. I was craving Mediterranean food and decided to check this place out. I have 0 regrets because their service and food both exceeded my expectations! I ordered the Combo bowl with the garlic, creamy chipotle, and spicy chipotle sauce (this sauce was eh) and WOW, it was scrumcious! The place is very big and there are many tables in the back. I feel like this is a great go-to spot for some quick, decent, healthy, and cheap meals. It's definitely a bang for your buck!"
"Buddy picked this spot after the gym and it was a great find. He ordered the gyro plate; I got the chicken kabobs and a few dolmas. Team here is quiet but friendly. Both plates were good--he said the rice was good, not great. I subbed the rice for salad which I enjoyed. Also subbed the hummus for tzatziki which I'm happy about. It was so good. Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce--tasty! The chicken was juicy and tender; the gyro meat was less exciting but did not lack in flavor. One ask would be to add a combo plate so you can try different proteins, but it worked out for us since we were able to trade. Dolmas were tasty."
"I was in the mood for someMediterranean food and decided to try a new place instead of my usual place. The service: 5 stars. The woman up front at the counter is phenomenal. Very friendly and personable. She made us feel very welcomed. She even gave us a free pita. The food: 4 stars. My husband and I shared "the works" plate. I'm glad we decided to share, it was a lot of food! The rice and chicken were ok. The beef, kafta and falafel were absolutely delicious! Loved the falafels so much. The humus and pita were good as well. The vibe: you can tell this is more of a take out place, the inside is small and there are no public restrooms. We did eat there and it was nice enough for a quick lunch. Overall 4.5 stars, I'm glad I tried a new place and I'd come back here again."
"What a lovely place to grab and bite. Sit down or take it to go, the food is great, reasonably priced and worth every bite! Especially for weekends they have a kids eat free, so after a fun day at the mall stop by with the family! I truly appreciate the staff and their patience since it was my first time here and there are so many options. You can do a wrap, bowl or plate and there are many wonderful combinations that I wish I could have tried all in one go. But I decided on a grilled chicken bowl with fries and rice, and all that comes with. I did get to try all the sauces and let me say YUM. There are plenty seating options and self service for utensils, fountain drinks and sauce. The time i visited it was not super busy but as I ate many families and others came to dine in or grab pick up. It's a lively atmosphere and the playlist was on point that day. ++ After eating I felt full of energy in the best way, the portions and flavors just have you feeling great and excited for the next visit at this establishment! Overall 10/10."
"I really like Mediterranean food but, this visit was a little disappointing. Earlier this year, I raved about Panini Kabob Grill in downtown Los Angeles. So I thought this Cerritos location should be very good too.On a weekend afternoon, the parking in the plaza where this restaurant shares w/several other businesses is super busy! Cars eagerly await other cars to exit. The front of the house welcomed us but, chose to seat us right next to another family only separated by the glass wall. We opted to move to another table and there were plenty of other tables available. The starter pita bread and hummus was tasty and the hubby got their namesake panini. He liked what he got. I liked my salad and falafel wrap. Just wasn't wowed by anything we ordered. The DTLA location is definitely superior to this one.Just OK at 3 stars and probably would not return to this one."
"Went there Sunday night 7pm for their AYCE Iftar Buffet (Breaking of the Fast for Ramadan). The place was festive. The selections were amazing. Soups, dips, veggies, stews, meats, rice, fruit, desserts/pastries.There was a raspberry juice welcome drink that tasted like rosewater. It was so good, I must've had like 3 glasses. They also gave out these luscious dates to snack on before the main meal.We got to enjoy:- lentil soup - Excellent- Spinach type of watery soup (meh)- This cabbage slaw that was in a light vinegar with blonde raisins and oranges, it was SO GOOD- So many pastas- So many dips: besides hummus, there was babaganoush, something with crushed walnuts, etc.- Salads- Pickles of all kinds- There was the main dish: Roasted lamb over rice, so very good!- There was this beef roll wrapped in pastry dough, the filling was so delish, savory, a touch of cinnamon, sweetness, etc. it has it all!- So many things I cannot nameI think the mint red tea is extra, but it was such a nice way to end a great meal!Parking is kind of tight but there is a very capable parking attending helping and guiding everyone. After 8:30pm, they start to bring out all the hookahs so it can get really smoky. But still thinking about all the great food from last night! OMG so good!Very festive, party like atmosphere. All the staff were so hospitable, and efficient, they get you all that you need!"
"What a delicious meal! All the food tasted so fresh! The chicken was so flavorful and the rice was fluffy and hot! The salad was very tasty! The crunch and tartness from the salad really complimented the chicken shawarma. I loved the mouthwatering food here! Prices were about $13 per plate and totally worth it. It was big enough to make two meals!Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean but nothing fancy and there's plenty of parking out fI would highly recommend eating here!"
"It's a local spot and a place I go to at least once a month for the past 7 years. I always go for the lamb gyro plate or chicken kebab. I'm not the biggest fan of their hummus, but I enjoy how they cook their meat and rice, and the side of charred tomato and jalapeño with the plate. Everything here is 'not bad' to 'pretty good'. If you're in the area and want bang for your buck, go here. 3.7 stars"
"Medmix is a place where you can get some Hookah, Mediterranean food and drinks all at once. They have a good sized outside seating area and a good variety of items to select for. While the selection and area looked good, the food, hookah and everything was just ok as well. I had ordered the Al Fakher Mint, and a Beef Shawerma which comes with fries as well and a pot of Mint Tea. They also have heaters outside during the cold season. The Hookah was fine but there was a little bit of an after taste from the previous hookah which just means they don't wash inside the stem or change the water but it was still better than some of the other places. The Shawerma was good in flavor but the meat was a little too dry. Now I believe the reason is also because on a Thursday at around 9pm we were the only people sitting there so things may not have been fresh as nothing was being ordered. But at the end of the day everything was just good, so around the industry average mark in my opinion."
"We love this restaurant. Quick, healthy and loved by the whole family. Gaby is always so kind and quick with her service. Today she was the only one taking orders AND cooking and preparing our food. She can seriously multitask with a smile on her face. Grateful for people like her that make your dining experience five stars- I'm sure it is not easy doing it all on your own. Thanks Gaby!"
"We're big fans of their family mealThe sides are a great size, and we always seem to have leftover of those long after the chicken is gone.It gets pretty busy, but the staff are friendly and with the open kitchen you really get the feeling that they're trying to get your order out."
"Stumbled across this place after shopping in the area. I was hungry and was hoping for a falafel wrap that was really good. This wrap was great!! May be the best I've ever had in terms of taste and bang for buck. My wrap was the size of a foot long, maybe bigger. I wish I lived closer I'd eat here all the time. Service was great. The staff was nice and everyone seemed to be working together and having a good time. The place was clean and somewhat busy."
"Randomly ran into fellow yelper B. N. and his wife who live nearby and they informed me that the address that used to have Kerostena has a new place, Taboon Mediterranean. Apparently Taboon has another location in Long Beach and Los Alamitos. The menu is large with soup, salads, cold appetizers, hot appetizers, wraps, bowls, plates, and dessert. Last Wednesday I had the day off work so figured it was a great time to try it out. They've only been open a few weeks. The employee was extremely friendly and happy to talk about the menu. He let me know they have lunch specials Monday-Friday which pretty much gets you the drink for free. I ordered the "halloumi cheese" wrap with lentil soup. I've never had this cheese before and loved it. It's very dense and doesn't melt. They grill it and wrap it with lettuce, tomato, garlic, and a flavorful sauce. The cheese is semi salty and because of the dense texture it was like eating a chicken wrap. I loved every bite and couldn't believe how good it was. I ordered one to take home for my wife and she loved it. At the end she said "I think they forgot the cheese though, it was just some delicious chicken". Her mind was blown when she found out the entire thing was cheese. The vegan lentil soup was a huge portion and loaded with flavor. It was served with some pita chips which I tossed in for texture. My wife had the fries for her side and it was a HUGE portion. She could only eat half and saved the rest for the next day. Salad was another choice for lunch special.Saturday my wife and I came back to eat there. We both ordered the Kefta kabab plate which is a blend of ground beef and lamb. It's heavy on the lamb flavor so keep that in mind if you don't like lamb. It was served with hummus, house salad, two types of rice, sumac covered red onions, a grilled white onion, grilled tomato, pita bread, garlic sauce, and tahini. HUGE portion. Neither my wife or I could finish which is rare for me. I usually devour everything. Every single thing on our plate was fantastic. Loved the two different types of rice. One was very herbal tasting. Since it was our first time here we ordered way too much food. Besides our gut busting entrees we also shared some of their fried cauliflower and the spinach fatayer which are like empanadas. Both awesome. Please try this place! It's behind Shakey's next door to the bagel place that's currently being repairs from the fire. We need good restaurants around here since so many closed during COVID. This is the perfect place for the plaza and I can't wait to try more items!"
"Good service, the inside was unique with a lot of interesting designs on the wall. I ordered the cheese boat, along with the lahmajun and the manakish of za'atar and cheese, they were all quite good, and I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a middle eastern breakfast. The tea really topped off the experience of being authentic. Would go again when I'm back in Anaheim."
"Came across this hidden gem while shopping in the area. All the food here from the plates to the hummus to even the desserts were made fresh. Lady took her time in making the entire plates, and she did an amazing job making it fresh. The Lamb was cooked to perfection with the right amount of flavor, and the beef was juicy with rich flavors. The salad even tasted delicious along along with the pepper. Service was excellent, and she even gave us free baklava, which was very appetizing with the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend this spot."
"This place is pretty great. It's located within some sort of living space with "suites" but unclear if it's a hotel or not. The place feels modern with an outdoor patio, greenery, and wooden studs supporting the frame. The service was good. Timely with water and food. Not much else to say.I was here for the dinela event and so I ordered the scallop crudo as an appetizer, the filet mignon lomo saltado entree, and the creme brulee dessert. The scallop appetizer was excellent with a spicy green salsa and jalapeño slice that complimented the fresh scallop, mint, and cucumber. The avocado didn't pack too much of a punch, but the combination of spicy with a bit of refreshing minty scallop was excellent. The filet mignon lomo saltado was great too. The steak was very tender and the sauce seeped into the rice well. The fries were crispy as slightly damp fries could be and the onion and tomato mixture was good. The only qualm I have is that the flavor profile comes off a bit salty. A little more kick of lime or mint would freshen it up nicely. The creme brulee is a standard one with a nice crispy top with berries and mint. No notes, this is just delicious since I'm biased towards dessert. Fruit and mint accompany the sugary innards of the brulee well.A fantastic experience all in all. Something worth checking out if you're in the area."
"I came here with my family and OMG it was the amazing. So first, the owner is amazing. She gave us amazing suggestions like the mansaf. She was so sweet and patient as we asked our questions. Now the mansaf was AMAZING, honestly the best Ive ever had. 5 stars because the service was amazing and the food was delicious. Definitely need a repeat visit."
"I enjoy all types of food.. I especially enjoyed their zinger bowl They start off with rice. crispy chicken lettuce, and top a spicy sauce..... I also had ordered the half a chicken with rice. They have spicy rice or plain. The spicy rice was too hot for me but I know the flavor is there. The one thing I noticed that was struck me odd because The half a chicken didn't have a lot of meat in the breast. I only ordered it once and I'm not sure why it was like that... I thought maybe they cut part of the breast out and use it for bowls..... It's just a theory... And always as a staple I ordered also the babaganuaj It was perfect ... I wish they had pita chips though But overall it was a decent Mediterranean carryout place that provides plenty of parking as well!"
