Chewson H. "Not my first time at a CAVA but my first time to this one. For those that don't know, CAVA is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. You start with a bowl or Pita and then you pick a base like rice or lettuce, a protein like Chicken or Falafel, some topping and sauces like Hummus, Garlic Sauce, Cucumber, corn, etc. They have a lot of things to choose from.Service here is relatively quick since everything is pre-cooked like Chipotle and there isn't much interaction with the staff after you get your food. Utensils are by the side of the Soda/Fountain Drinks and you have to get that yourself. The interior of this place is very nice and modern. They keep the seats and tables relatively clean. However it's really really cold inside. I recommend bringing a jacket. Even though it was 60 outside, it was freezing cold inside. The food itself is good, if you're not into pickled stuff, try to avoid anything with vinegar. As you can tell from my picture, the bowl isn't really full. It's not packed and that's about the only con -- portion size. I wish they would just be more generous with the rice since it's just cheap filler. The parking lot is pretty big and shared with a few other businesses. I didn't have much issue finding a spot since there's so many. Overall, recommend! Would give it a 5/5 if I didn't leave hungry still."

I have eaten here for many years the restaurant is setup and located inside the liquor store in back of the store they only have a two sets of two person seating tables it's clean the staff are chill always nice and ordering is easy low key just order take it home is what most people do. Chicken Kebabs Grilled perfectly and seasoned well it comes with rice a small salad and hummus and pita it's very good and that salad dressing is the bomb I'd suggest you buy an extra one and eat it with the chicken this meal was a 8/10 it was so good I ate all of the salad and had a lot of rice and chicken leftover. Hummus delicious but the pita bread is mid and not homemade it will do but I prefer it made fresh. 7/10 Strawberry cheesecake Delicious very buttery crust and soo good. Side salad I ordered a larger one to go and bought an extra salad dressing that was divine it's a yogurt based garlicky sauce and I love it. Green sauce For dipping the chicken in this one is tasty. Tsaziki sauce Creamy garlicky and soo bomb I always buy extra. I definitely recommend that you give them a try there's so much more on that menu grilled salmon beef kebabs falafel gyros and more. Both plates were good--he said the rice was good, not great. I subbed the rice for salad which I enjoyed. Also subbed the hummus for tzatziki which I'm happy about. It was so good. Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce--tasty! The chicken was juicy and tender; the gyro meat was less exciting but did not lack in flavor. One ask would be to add a combo plate so you can try different proteins, but it worked out for us since we were able to trade. Dolmas were tasty."

Archie S. "Medmix is a place where you can get some Hookah, Mediterranean food and drinks all at once. They have a good sized outside seating area and a good variety of items to select for. While the selection and area looked good, the food, hookah and everything was just ok as well. I had ordered the Al Fakher Mint, and a Beef Shawerma which comes with fries as well and a pot of Mint Tea. They also have heaters outside during the cold season. The Hookah was fine but there was a little bit of an after taste from the previous hookah which just means they don't wash inside the stem or change the water but it was still better than some of the other places. The Shawerma was good in flavor but the meat was a little too dry. Now I believe the reason is also because on a Thursday at around 9pm we were the only people sitting there so things may not have been fresh as nothing was being ordered. But at the end of the day everything was just good, so around the industry average mark in my opinion."

Chris D. "Randomly ran into fellow yelper B. N. and his wife who live nearby and they informed me that the address that used to have Kerostena has a new place, Taboon Mediterranean. Apparently Taboon has another location in Long Beach and Los Alamitos. The menu is large with soup, salads, cold appetizers, hot appetizers, wraps, bowls, plates, and dessert. Last Wednesday I had the day off work so figured it was a great time to try it out. They've only been open a few weeks. The employee was extremely friendly and happy to talk about the menu. He let me know they have lunch specials Monday-Friday which pretty much gets you the drink for free. I ordered the "halloumi cheese" wrap with lentil soup. I've never had this cheese before and loved it. It's very dense and doesn't melt. They grill it and wrap it with lettuce, tomato, garlic, and a flavorful sauce. The cheese is semi salty and because of the dense texture it was like eating a chicken wrap. I loved every bite and couldn't believe how good it was. I ordered one to take home for my wife and she loved it. At the end she said "I think they forgot the cheese though, it was just some delicious chicken". Her mind was blown when she found out the entire thing was cheese. The vegan lentil soup was a huge portion and loaded with flavor. It was served with some pita chips which I tossed in for texture. My wife had the fries for her side and it was a HUGE portion. She could only eat half and saved the rest for the next day. Salad was another choice for lunch special.Saturday my wife and I came back to eat there. We both ordered the Kefta kabab plate which is a blend of ground beef and lamb. It's heavy on the lamb flavor so keep that in mind if you don't like lamb. It was served with hummus, house salad, two types of rice, sumac covered red onions, a grilled white onion, grilled tomato, pita bread, garlic sauce, and tahini. HUGE portion. Neither my wife or I could finish which is rare for me. I usually devour everything. Every single thing on our plate was fantastic. Loved the two different types of rice. One was very herbal tasting. Since it was our first time here we ordered way too much food. Besides our gut busting entrees we also shared some of their fried cauliflower and the spinach fatayer which are like empanadas. Both awesome. Please try this place! It's behind Shakey's next door to the bagel place that's currently being repairs from the fire. We need good restaurants around here since so many closed during COVID. This is the perfect place for the plaza and I can't wait to try more items!"

The place feels modern with an outdoor patio, greenery, and wooden studs supporting the frame. The service was good. Timely with water and food. Not much else to say.I was here for the dinela event and so I ordered the scallop crudo as an appetizer, the filet mignon lomo saltado entree, and the creme brulee dessert. The scallop appetizer was excellent with a spicy green salsa and jalapeño slice that complimented the fresh scallop, mint, and cucumber. The avocado didn't pack too much of a punch, but the combination of spicy with a bit of refreshing minty scallop was excellent. The filet mignon lomo saltado was great too. The steak was very tender and the sauce seeped into the rice well. The fries were crispy as slightly damp fries could be and the onion and tomato mixture was good. The only qualm I have is that the flavor profile comes off a bit salty. A little more kick of lime or mint would freshen it up nicely. The creme brulee is a standard one with a nice crispy top with berries and mint. No notes, this is just delicious since I'm biased towards dessert. Fruit and mint accompany the sugary innards of the brulee well.A fantastic experience all in all. Luke L. "I stopped by here for a quick lunch since I happened to be near The Hangar Food Hall in Long Beach. I wanted something lighter and not super greasy, so I went for Mediterranean food. DonerG Turkish & Mediterranean Grill is a family-owned and fast-casual restaurant specializing in Turkish cuisine. Currently, they have five locations - Irvine, Anaheim (flagship location), Santa Ana, Lake Forest, and this one in Long Beach.[Parking]: Parking at The Hangar Food Hall isn't always super easy, but visitors can usually find a spot with a little patience and some circling around the nearby area. Parking tends to be more crowded on weekends.[Menu]: They offer several signature dishes including the Istanbowl, Pita Sandwich, Doner Saltado, and Doner Kebab Plate. Customers can also customize their orders in three steps: #1 choose your base - options include pita sandwich, wrap, fladenbrot, doner kebab rice plate, or doner kebab salad plate. #2 top it off - select from fresh salads, spreads, or sauces. #3 pick your protein with beef, chicken, or falafel.***Istanbowl (Rice, Beef & Chicken Döner Kebab, Red Cabbage, Onions, Parsley, Shepherd's Salad, Falafel & Pita Bread - $15): It was actually a pretty bowl as the bowl was packed with almost every protein they offer. The falafel had a slight spicy kick and the pita bread was nicely toasted. One downside is the bowl came with no sauce even though each item supposedly includes two sauces. Unfortunately I didn't get any sauces.***DonerG is a solid food option within The Hangar Food Hall. A solid 4.5-star on food quality, but I'm knocking it down slightly due to the missing sauces. That being said, I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting this place and trying other options like the pita sandwich."

Lamb kabob so tasty and tender. The beef has flavor but wasn't as tender as the lamb. The sides, spot on in the flavor department. On the way out, I decide to ask for 1 meat pie just because it was calling my name lol. Interestingly delicious. I would compare it to empanadas but it wouldn't do itself justice. This meat pie was in a league of its own. Just try it. All in all, the food was worth going back for. The next day I actually returned to try other items on their menu.
