"I came here a few days ago with some friends. They opted to try this place as they don't have this where they're from. We went around 10, and there was no line. I've been here on the weekends and it's pretty packed. There was a line out the door. We ordered pretty fast. And the food came out about 15 minutes later. I got the eggs Benedict which was pretty good. My friend's got the breakfast tots which were crunchy and delicious. My other friend got the spicy chicken waffles. The chicken wasn't that spicy. All in all it was very delicious!"
"Nice having a chance to eat Hawaiian food in Southern California . Lau lau is perfectly done on the mainland . Service and ambiance make me feel like I'm in Hawaii . Broke da mouth here and I will be back."

"Food was good and not so bad for the price. The service was good. The place is a bit small but it's clean. The outdoor is small too but it's still nice"
"I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi."
"My go to poke spot ! Has never disappointed me. The variety of proteins is great and they always have some spicy proteins which are actually spicy! Always great customer service and clean inside. The price is also worth the amount of food you get, I never leave this place hungry"
"The Loft is a "hit and miss" experience for me. Regardless, I like this restaurant when I'm craving some Hawaiian food. The interior is clean and roomy with lots of tables. However, you can smell the disinfectants used so can be a bit unappealing. The parking area is tight and limited shared among several other venues in this small plaza. The staff are friendly and service is okay. The phoned in orders are managed well. However, I recommend do check the to-go order(s) when you place more than 4 items. A couple times, I didn't get macaroni salads or sauces were missing if you asked for as a side (e.g., loco moco). We ordered:(1) Bacon Fried Rice - a MUST and highly recommended. The portion is great, lots of bacon bits and very flavorful.(2) Loco Moco - CLASSIC and worth a try. I tend always order the Loco Moco since it's my favorite dish. The hamburger patties are often times dry and over grilled. I had to specifically request the staff for hamburger meat to be grilled "medium" so it's not overcooked to have it right. (3) Veggie Saimin - SKIP this dish. The saimin was soggy and missing the fish-cake so very disappointed."
"The poke was suuuppper fresh. It's the closest to poke you can get in Hawaii that I've had in LA imo. My ranking of the poke I had:1. Salmon spicy mayo 2. Tuna Hawaiian limu3. Salmon spicy garlic4. Tuna shoyu Friendly service. It's in a strip mall with tons of parking. Just a chill environment. But surprisingly the star of the show was the beef ribs. Perfect marinated seasoning. Definitely should be a go-to place."
"The customer service is great they aren't greedy on their portions. Prices are descent and parking is part of a shopping center no problem there. Just heads up it does get pretty busy during lunch time."
"Once I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the young man at the register. There was a slight wait so I sat down at one of the tables.Everything was tidy and clean....The decor didn't speak to anything specific. I did appreciate, however, that my food was cooked to order so when I received it, it was hot.Onto the food .... Now I'm a huge fan of Beef Bulgogi and this one did not disappoint!!! The macaroni salad was not my favorite and the potato salad was completely bland and lacked texture. With all that being said, I would still go back just for the beef Bulgogi because it was just that good. The beef was seasoned and tender. I have nothing to complain about regarding the beef."
"Our favorite place for Pho & Poke bowls for sure. They are close to home and we are in and out and service is fast. We love their poke bowls they are so filling and flavorful when you get all the toppings. As you arrive to the front there are clipboards and our can fill them out then hang it to them and they get started on them. We usually get the large and you get 4 proteins and the base comes with rice and the toppings you choose. Their pho is delicious, their broth is solid and always great on a cold day with all the fixings they come with. The shopping center has plenty of parking as well that's never a problem. The place is clean and every table has a menu that you can take a look at what they have to offer. Their service is great!"
"It's been a while since my last visit. I'm happy they were open when searching for a last minute dinner spot because I was reminded how good this place is. It's a little pricey, however they really do give a lot. The protein scoops (esp spicy tuna) are worth the money. I can't forget to mention the quality...everything was fresh!!!They have unique sauce options. Personally, i'm basic with little to no sauce, but if you like spicy, this place has a variety of options. I am always a fan of "build your own" and seeing all ingredients in front of you. It's a clean a cute spot in a great location with plenty of parking!"

A taste of Hawaii in Cerritos, California!! Aloha!!!! Doesn't quite feel like you are in Hawaii when you step through their doors. They sure are a popular place for breakfast. We were a group of 5, and there were no tables available for us when we arrived. So while three of us went in line to place our orders at the counter, the other two waited for a table to be available. Fortunately within 10 minutes a table opened up for us. The Captain Mac Nut French Toast that I ordered was very good! Probably the best French Toast that I have ever had the pleasure to eat in my entire existence!! Got to try a bit of other food that the family ordered. The Buttermilk pancakes were decent. The Chicken Katsu Loco Moco was pretty good. The Ube Coconut Pancakes were alright. That French Toast that I ordered is worth coming back for again and again and again!!! Til next time! Aloha!!!!

At first, I was a bit skeptical eating here with all of the lower rated reviews. However, I had a pleasant experience. Came here for a late dinner with some friends and didn't have to wait that long for our food. Granted, there were only 4 other tables filled while we were there. First of all, I loved the island music playing and interior is pretty homey. I haven't seen other places have a half order option for loco moco, so I was glad to see that on the menu! I don't have the biggest appetite, so it was the perfect amount for me. Perfect amount of food and the patty is seasoned very well! I wasn't the biggest fan of the Mac salad as it kind of tasted more like potato salad.

This place is one of my favorite build your poke places! The portions are so generous and the ingredients are fresh! Everyone here is also really nice and patient as you pick out your bowl. My go to order is typicallyBase: a mix of white rice and mixed greensProtein: Tuna, salmon, and scallop are all solid Mix ins: cilantro, cucumber, sweet onion, edamame, and green onion (love that you can pick as many as you want) Sauce- ponzu with spicy mayo on the side Sides- imitation crab and seaweed salad (this is perfectly seasoned) toppings- masago, furikake, and always always get the crispy onion and garlic for that amazing crunch. I feel like the cost is pretty darn good for how much food you get. This place is also less than a mile walk to the beach so go get some poke and go eat it on the beach!

I got their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate and it tasted like teriyaki chicken but more smoky. The salad was great, very subtle. The Rice, Mac, and Salad complimented the main dish and overall was delightful. The portion amount is solid with their prices; their prices aren't overpriced with low portions. The owner is very laid back and friendly. Great place to get a spam musubi, chicken katsu, or other Hawaiian foods!

Ahipoki is a great poke spot in the area. Lucikly for me this spot isn't too far from where I work. The last time I came here was to grab a quick salad bowl to take home. If you are bowling your own bowl you get the option between brown rice, regular rice, kelp noodles or organic salad. I always go with salad and the large bowl, which is 3 scoops. Although their scoops are a little small they have a large variety of protein options. My favorite is the spicy salmon. They also have lots of options for toppings and sauces. You are bound to buy a bowl of your liking. Besides poke bowls they also have set rice bowls, handrolls, burritos, and musubis. The staff is very nice. This spot can get a little busy so sometimes there is a line. I found the food to be good and tasting fresh, but to me the portion was a tad small for the large. But overall, I would still come back.

The chicken Katsu is delicious and tender with just the right amount of bread crumbs. Unfortunately they do not do a very good gravy for the Katsu but still would recommend it. They also offer a chicken, beef or mixed plate. All of their plates come with a side salad that consist of coleslaw salad mix that has crusted up ramen noodles in it. I did not recommend the salads. The ramen noodles are uncooked. Try the potato salad instead. Served on one plate. The service is always friendly. The dining area is nice for eating in. They have several televisions.

Walked in here for a quick bite and was surprised by the taste and quality! The staff here was welcoming and kindly took my order. I ordered the classic bbq chicken plate and the chicken was so tender and flavorful. The macaroni salad was also good. The price was affordable for such a big serving size, it was enough to last me 2 meals. Will be back if I am in the area again!Plenty of seating inside and plenty of parking space in the plaza.

"A family-owned, downhome, mom and pop shop with THE best food. I saw their beef rib plate on social media and hearing that it is a Filipino/Hawaiian restaurant, we had to check it out. We ordered both the grilled beef ribs and the spicy garlic beef ribs. Both were very good but the spicy garlic beef is so full of flavor, I was happy that it came with zoodles and white rice with fried garlic on top to spread the flavor around. It really was love at first bite. It also comes with a mac salad and it was very good. They have a bar of different poke to choose from, much like delis in Hawaii serve them. We got the spicy soy tuna. Marinated long enough to pack a punch of flavor! Another friend in my party got the moco loco with a white gravy and they said it was very good. The moco loco comes with two eggs and Portuguese and it can easily be shared between two people.Service is excellent. The woman behind the counter is super friendly and I felt we were treated like family. It just adds soul to the place and food. Ambiance is super casual, often quiet as there is no TV playing (although I see evidence of karaoke) and no music playing. Overall, I love this place and can't wait to come back to try other dishes, particularly the tuna sisig."
"So glad I finally got to try this place! It gives nice island vibes, and the food is pretty decent. I ordered the pancake special which was very tasty. The server was polite and friendly as well. I also happened to see Christafari there, a christian reggae band who performed at my church for the harvest festival. Overall I had a great experience here."
"It was my first visit and I didn't expect much, but I was surprised that it was even tastier and the ingredients were fresher. There are a variety of drinks and the interior of the store is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for visiting with friends or a lover. I definitely plan to visit again next time."
"Sheesh. I've walked by this place dozens of times, so I figured I'd try it today for a breakfast burrito. I should have come here years ago! The burrito was one of the best I've had and the salsa was thick and tasty. I'll definitely be back to try some other menu items."
"I really enjoy the Tangaroa Terrace tonkotsu ramen. The bowl is flavorful, filling, and comes out pretty fast. The pork belly slices, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, nori, soy flavored soft-boiled egg, and noodles taste fresh and delicious. I also appreciated the salmon bowl for the kids (my little one loves fish!). It was a healthy bowl of plain rice, broccoli, salmon, and a slice of pineapple, which my toddler happily ate!"
"I was stuck next door at Milan Hair Salon... with heavy aluminum foils in my hair ... starving. I called Poki Poki and spoke with Sunny who took my order via text and had the food delivered to the salon within 10minutes. I gave them a $5 tip for the quick service. I got 3 onigiris... spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and crab! They were all delicious! I would come back to order them again even if I'm not in the area for my hair care. Thanks so much Sunny!"
"If you want a quick bite of delicious Hawaiian food, this is the spot! I love going here whenever I'm in the area. This is my 3rd visit and I usually order to go since I'm on a time crunch. I'm also usually indecisive when figuring out what I want to eat for lunch and I never go wrong going here! I walked in, ordered my favorite chicken katsu meal (#2 with a free fountain drink) and was ready in less than 10 min! Perfect timing! Service is quick and the ambiance of the restaurant is definitely a Hawaiian vibe! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!"
"Making an order for pick-up was Easy, Breezy via phone call. Just your name and phone number to confirm. Im pleased for the convenience. The transaction went smooth, and back on the road, I went. I always experienced quality and deliciousness from here, BUT today, 02/19/24, I was disappointed. My Short Rib was literally short from having any meat on it besides the bones. Everything else was delicious, including their macaroni and rice. Their beef and chicken were flavorful as usual. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my waysof describing things don't please you. Take a lookat some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are,Meal:1. BBQ MixA mouthwatering combination of succulent beef, chicken, and short ribsBesides the disappointing short ribs, everything was delicious and satisfying as always. Rich in flavor and good combination when eating all together like a dynamic burst. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience.P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!"
"I am picky with poke but this place has been consistently delicious and fresh!! Looove the quality of the food. Another must try is their dip with chips, it's out of this world good. I'd have to say that every time I come, the staff has always been kind, friendly and patient -so rare nowadays :P"
"Decent little shop. After reading reviews, went with brisket pho instead of poke. It was fine. Pleasant enough service. Quick stop for lunch or dinner - not too busy. Tucked into the back of same plaza as Wahoo's."
"This place is my favorite fast food Chinese eatery. I indulge in half and half, with Honey Shrimp, and their Orange chicken has improved so much, it's delicious. The portions are well worth the price and customer service is friendly. Give them a chance, they are worth it."
"16.50 3 scoop poki bowl. Most toppings are included like Krab, only avocado is extra. We've been here a couple times and have been happy with the service and freshness. The 3 scoop bowl seems bigger to me than other places. I usually get half white rice/half salad for the base. The scoops of fish seemed pretty good. I like that the Krab and seaweed salad are included in the price. Only avocado is extra. Also they have eel sauce which I like to have drizzled on the top at the end."
"How have I not reviewed this place yet?!? It has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, especially after Poke Cat closed :( That was actually how I happened upon this place and it was obsession at first bite.I've tried their poke bowls and some of their hand rolls: the unagi, spam and philly rolls in particular. The unagi and spam rolls are delicious! I have yet to try one of their sushi burritos, but I'm more of a show-off-the-chopstick-skills kinda gal. Onto the bowls: I normally get the 50/50 base with either rice and greens or rice and soba noodles. For the proteins I like two scoops of tuna and one of shrimp, but sometimes I'll sub one of the tuna for albacore or salmon. I love almost all the toppings available and ALWAYS get an extra scoop of the crab salad because it's so good. I love all the fresh ingredients and basically get them all along with the furikake and fried onions from the crunchy list. I finish off with their house sauce and a drizzle of the yuzu for a bright citrusy finish.I've never had an issue with the quality of their fish, and have never gotten sick from it. And usually I get my order through Uber Eats. No complaints here! I type this as my stomach rumbles, not-so-patiently awaiting for my order to arrive. Ok, time to eat! Pictures coming soon!"
"I was having a rough day a couple weeks ago. Its tough out there these days! A single act of kindness can really turn a day around though, and I gotta say...good food certainly doesn't hurt either.I've eaten here a few times before, but what really motivated me to leave a review this time was the attitude and service of the cashier lady. She was just so friendly and had such positive energy, but in a soothing and encouraging way. We made some small talk about my current work situation (I've been looking...like I said, it is TOUGH out there) and she basically lent a sympathetic ear and told me things would turn around.I enjoyed a delicious chicken Katsu bowl (so CRISPY) with my brother while I plugged away looking for jobs in a corner booth.I'm happy to say that things ARE looking up, I've landed some interviews and I might have something starting up in the next couple of weeks. This was a great experience and I look forward to coming back whenever I am in the area. Thanks for helping to turn my day around!"
"I love 808 Hawaiian. The service is really friendly and fast. Inside the restaurant was small but comfortable. I fell in love with the other Yelpers' pictures of the ribs and had to give it a shot! So I ordered the Momona combo plate that comes with 2 sizable delicious beef ribs, some pieces of kalbi ribs, bbq chicken, rice and macaroni salad. I loved everything! The tender juicy beef ribs would just melt in your mouth and their bbq chicken was oh so amazing. There was something special about how they prepared the rice that makes it stands out from other Hawaiian food joints. The macaroni salad was delicious. The portions are generous and allowed me to save some for dinner.I'm looking forward to returning here again and again. I recommend you give it go, you will definitely love it!"
"We love their crispy spam Musubi and sweet chili garlic shrimp! Usually we'll order ahead and pick up since it can take a while. I haven't loved their fries, but maybe it's just not good for takeout since it's soggy by the time we get home. It's a great spot for when the Hawaiian food craving hits!"
"Will definitely be ordering here again just because of how generous they are with the portions! The BBQ Plate I ordered was so heavy I almost dropped it. The BBQ Chicken was tender and flavorful, the Kalbi was well marinated and had a good meat:fat ratio, the BBQ beef was alright compared to the other two proteins. The Mac Salad was also pretty good, I'd rate it 8/10. I also got the Crab Langoons which I feel didn't have enough filling but we're still delicious :)."
"Da best katsu in the town. Honestly, this place has the top quality katsu!! I'm so addicted. Once you try katsu here, you'll never be able to quit. I wish I live in Buena Park"
"Amazing service really enjoyed the cashier super friendly..if your a gamer they have twitch stream on deck.. the ambiance is super cool..Food is amazing prepared right before your eyes check them out"
"Great service, quick and very very tasty. Got the no. 6 and the musubi and it fed me and my bf who do not easily get full. The short ribs were very tender, the rice was nice and fluffy, tempura crab rolls were delectable and musubi was so flavorful and filling. Very much recommend"
"The worst meal I have had in a long time. Lulubowls is a delivery-only restaurant, offering a menu of healthy, Hawaiian/California inspired dishes with many vegetarian options. They are available on UberEats, DoorDash, Postmates, and Grubhub. Our food arrived about 90 minutes after placing the order. The Green Papaya Slaw was $7, so I expected a small portion, but what we received was about three bites worth of watery shredded papaya, tasting only of vinegar and ginger. The Avocado Mac Salad was even worse-Dry, candy sweet, and prepared with flimsy, overcooked pasta. The Sweet Potato Potstickers were at least edible, but consisted of nothing more than mealy wonton wrappers filled with mashed sweet potato. Meh. The fried cauliflower in the Pineapple Teriyaki Cauliflower Bowl was delicious, and ultimately, the only tasty component of the entire meal. The rest of the bowl was flavorless, and I hated the weirdly sweet short grain rice they use. My fiancé got some non-vegetarian items and was equally disappointed. Avoid."
"My go to place to order from when I'm craving Hawaiian BBQ. There's a couple other Hawaiian BBQ places around Long Beach, after trying each, now I'm only ordering from Ahi Hawaiian. Always well proportioned, plenty of meat, great flavor. Love the macaroni salad that I normally order a side of for later because it's so good. I usually get the spare ribs, never disappoints my craving. Chicken katsu is also great, juicy chicken. Really no complaints, just gave it a 4/5 because I haven't gone into this location and can't fully judge. I have only ordered from door dash. Comes hot and fresh every time though."
"The options at this location is insane i can literally get anything i want omg how is this spot so lowkey it doesn't make sense"
