"I tried returning some stuff at this location and the cashier was not authorized to do so, and told me to talk to the manager. I said fine, alright I found her by the meat section and told her I had to return a lot of these dessert mix boxes that were bought by my mother with cash. On the way to her little office (?) or something, she kept lecturing me not to do that again, saying it was bad business or whatever. Like what the heck? I was just trying to return, I have no clue why my mom wanted it returned, I just wanted to get in and out, not get a freaking lecture! They were so rude and inhospitable I literally held my tongue and just agreed with what she kept saying. I kept saying I seriously don't know why my mom wanted to return everything she bought but the manager was so freaking crabby about it. Never coming back to this place ever again. And if you ever plan to return things you bought from here, I hope you never ever experience the rudeness that me and my friend experienced. Worst service hands down, and if there were negative stars on yelp, I'd give 'em ten. Also -- check if the items are fresh before buying as well as if the expiration dates of the products are present."
"After a year, still visiting this place for all the great prices and choices! The customer service is always on. Anytime I walk in, I'm always greeted and at times, someone will help load my groceries up. I don't even ask, and it may be that they want the cart back but it doesn't matter! The choices of produce here for the prices always amaze me. The quality is up there. I'm happy to always come by to pick up anything I need. The store is clear, well kept and for anyone who disagrees? I'd wonder why. I always see workers cleaning, or stocking. Appreciate this spot!"
"I drove by this spot multiple times and wanted to see what it's about.AMBIANCE:Parking: Plaza parking for about 10 cars.Feels: Willow Street is a pretty busy spot but nothing touristy. The space itself is kinda like a single shop brick and mortar that's a bit run downed. Nothing fancy just a mix of Islander influenced clothing, souvenirs and minimal food such as chops, cookies, drinks, cookies, and fresh taro. However no fresh food/meals as I hoped for.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Solid. Straight business. Can't complain.TL; DR OVERALL:3.5 Stars. A solid place that gets the job done. Reasonable price and a few unique items. If you're looking for commercial stuff like Hawaiian stuff, this ain't the place. I wish they had more stuff to offer.TIPS:* Most known for Samaon Taro."
"Saw the Yelp reviews and the very affordable price. The gentleman on the counter saw me looking at the menu, and told me that he doesn't feel like cooking. I understood where he was coming from. I didn't feel like cooking either, that's why I went here to get something to eat. I appreciate his honesty. I will come back and try his food. I'll probably call ahead to see if he feels like cooking."
"This is a small neighborhood market. However, they also sell food. The lady here making the food is always nice and welcoming. The food is really good and authentic. They have Tacos, burritos, birria, quesadillas, mole, salads, tortas etc all the goos stuff."
"This place was recommended by my co-worker. Places a pick-up order from their website.I ordered the Tom's way egg sandwich! It's delicious! This special combines with Pastrami, egg salad, swiss cheese, pickled onion and broccoli slaw served on toasted country bread. It also has a little kick to it!Hit the spot right especially when I'm not a sandwich person! Definitely recommend others to try it!"
""My what delicious sandwiches you have ..." I had the meatball and two weeks later I was craving it again. This time I went to the location and was wowed at how many significant items they fit into their small space. A beautiful meat counter, a refrigerated wall of various beverages and shelves full of my favorite spices and condiments plus stuff I am just itching to try. Top notch service, food handling, presentation, portion size, and quality. Thx so much .. luv ya !!"
"I come here to get all my staples- food, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. I love this place. Great prices and the customer service is always great. Perfect little corner store."
"Grabbed some beers from here over the weekend. Small shop, but with good craft and macro options in the coolers, and an impressive selection of clearance beers for a fraction of the original cost. In addition to a couple single cans (an IPA and a lager) and a (at $12+, relatively expensive) little container of michelada mix, I snagged 3 sours normally priced at over $10 for $5 each. Service was friendly, everyone in the store was masked up, and I went home a happy girl. I love an unpretentious liquor store with great options. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in Long Beach."
"Pretty good pickings for a market on the outskirts of DTLA. It's a Korean supermarket with a hot food section, fresh seafood section, sushi stall, Asian bakery, and little restaurant that serves a mix of Japanese and Korean fare. It's no HMart but definitely is up there as far as offerings go. I like how much organic products they have here. I like that I can buy Natto, Thayer's toner, tteokboki, and mochi products from Fugetsu-Do in one place. Personally not a fan of their marinated meats. They have good sales listed every week. I got a 4-pack of Korean canned tuna for 8 bucks so that was nice."
"I always come here to get my dose of vitamin C.Whenever I feel sick with a cold or feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I come here and get the biggest cup of freshly squeezed OJ they have!! I love that they keep the pulp for the fiber! It's good for you! They freshly squeeze the juice on the spot!! So you're getting the most freshest juice ever! Not like store bought OJ that's been on the shelf for who knows how many days.Staff is friendly, very welcoming and helpful! They have a well stocked market. I will come back if I need to get any Mexican products. The place is clean and the music is awesome!"
"Having lived in NJ for nearly 8 years, I was concerned that moving back to Ca would have me missing the local delicatessens and ease of obtaining a solid sandwich. I'm so so grateful Olives is within walking distance from me. I have yet to find a sandwich in the Long Beach area I enjoy more than the Baja club at Olives, lol. Atmosphere: cute little store with groceries, prepared foods, and sandwiches made to order. I often use their app to order the sandwiches ahead of time. Food: I've tried numerous sandwiches here, and all are super solid. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and large portions (I.e. you could save half the sandwich for later). I am a fan of their paninis, since they are warm and crispy, but my top notch sandwich is the Baja club, which has smoked turkey, pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and green chili aioli in a baguette. The flavors all mend together perfectly on a fresh and soft baguette, and I love the crispness of the bacon with the smooth textures of the avocado. The aioli is an added nice touch as well. It's just such a damn near perfect sandwich. And it's large!!! It's about $13 but well worth it as you can split the sandwich into two meals or share a sandwich between two people (or just be greedy and live your life and eat the whole damn sandwich).I can also vouch for their chocolate cake slices. Decadent and delicious! I need to try their prepared foods next time. They have premade items like lasagna etc that you can take home and warm up as needed, and it looks pretty good. Services is extremely friendly and accommodating anytime I purchase something there. Only gripe is parking can be a pain as there is only street parking, but over all, nothing else to complain about."

I have been coming here for around 10 yrs for there fried fish. Today I had a altrication with the supply guy and the fish cleaning guy. 4 fish at 2.29 a pound is around $9.20 . He told me that it was for 3 fish and $4.58 for 1 I told them I would not be taking there fish and they could keep it while doing some calculation The cashier said all 4 fish was 3 pounds . With frying add a pound 4 pounds at 2.29 adds to $9.16 . I was getting charged $14.00. I am not paying for old fish. Thank you NO Thank you. Went to SEA FOOD CITY got me some Fresh Tilapia . They also fry there fish. I am a new customer to them . Bye Bye.

It's still an okay store but now it's failing. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT DATES on milk and dairy products. I had to throw away a few products because it was old. Also, BEWARE of stale candy and the store smells really funny now like meat flesh. Not sure if this is a normal smell.

Cool place! I stop in about once-twice a week to pick up items! Love this store because it saves me from going to the big supermarkets. Plenty of parking here as they share with a washhouse and a newly coming mexican food shop. The owners are awesome and very friendly..

Small Mexican market with a butcher inside of it. if you want to make your own tacos but don't want to marinate the meat, this market is decent because the marinated meats aren't old meat (sept 2023) but I would just buy enough for a day and not more. The flavoring is OK (decent), not bad nor GREAT. The ones I tried and listed by priority are1. Carne asada (lemon tasting)2. Al pastor (diced pork) but it does have pieces of fat in it.3. Chicken fajitaThe market makes tacos/burritos with these meats, so you can try before buying a bunch of raw marinated meat. Just have to prepay at cashier first and bring paid slip back to food prep area. Fresh Salsa is sold but it was too spicy for me. Tostada and fresh tortilla also available.Vegetables used for Mexican food are pricey, so I wouldn't get it here.Lottery tickets sold here so, it's one stop for groceries and convenience store items.

I've seen this place all over TikTok. The sandwiches looked amazing. So I happen to be in the area and I knew this is where I wanted to go. This store is located in a little neighborhood. Is really small. I don't know if they are repainting the top top of the store. But it's all back. Once I was passing the shop, that's when I saw the Uptown Provisions logo. The girl taking my order was super nice. She let me take my time reading the menu and deciding what I would like to order.I ended up getting two of their top sellers. The smoked pastrami $16.00I got mine with the sauerkraut on the side and no Swiss cheese.Omg, the flavors exploded in my mouth. The rye bread was so good with the pastrami.I also tried the prime rib and barbecue brisket sandwich $16.00I think this sandwich was my favorite. The flavor all mix well together and it just leaves you wanting more! I loved it!I wished I lived closer or that we had this sandwich place here in Oceanside! I would be going here all the time!!!I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends! I can't wait to come back here!!

The Meat Company is a butcher in Los Alamitos, next door to Original Fish Company, with high quality cuts of meat, reasonable prices, and a wonderfully curated shop with delicious snacks and pantry staples. I come here for their delicious sandwiches, for their frozen meatballs (to level up my spaghetti game), and for their high quality steaks. You can get wagyu and meat from snake river farms if that is interesting to you. My go to meat order is their prime picanha steak. It seems like it would be expensive, but I can get two 1.5" to 2" steaks for a reasonable cost. Picanha, made popular in brazilian churrascos, are juicy and flavorful and I love that I can find them here!Aside from this, the butchers are quite helpful. They don't have a lot of seating, so I usually plan to take my sandwiches home or for a day that I'm out and about.

"Pricey but good. I wouldn't come by that often- it's almost $10 per slice of cake, but they really are good. The particular favorite is the ferrero rocher cake. That one is worth a purchase every so often. The place is small, and there aren't too many offerings: slices of cake, whole cakes, macarons, and possibly other things in the future. Parking is generally available if not always easy."
"Deluxe with xtra dressing Can't go wrong. Best sandwiches in Pedro definitely recommend."
"They are at the 2 brand new markets that opened in Irvine today ("Irvine Square" at MacArthur & Main and "The Crossroads" at "Culver & Barranca"). I went to their location at The Crossroads. Lots of great fish. Extremely fresh. Wasn't even looking to buy seafood, but then saw the fresh seafood and talked to them about how fresh it is (off the boat the day before), so I bought it went home. Will grill tonight with veggies I bought from other vendors here.Picked up tuna sashimi, two kinds of salmon (fresh caught)."
"Store has a little bit of everything. They've upgraded it and added a bakery, and it's also home to the best chorizo maker in the world? It's a friendly family run store they have beer, wine, and liquor and an assortment of groceries. Basic needs stuff very convenient."
"This is a nice little (mid-sized) Mexican / hispanic market / grocery store at the corner of Cedar Ave and busy Pacific Coast Hwy. Parking is via their private lot and finding a space has never been a problem anytime I've come here. They have a little bit of just about everything and obviously focus heavily on products from Mexico. The produce department is decent size and they have a good variety to choose from.Probably the best part about this market is their meat department and butcher at the back of the store. They have a good variety to choose from and the guys behind the counter are quite helpful. You speak only English or Spanish? No problemo, both are spoken here!"
"Jed's is a diamond in the rough kind of store. Especially in long beach.with all of our corners littered with "liquor stores", which are essentially little markets that sell liquor and some candy, Jed's is a lot bigger and a place you can get fresh produce, meat and even seafood. Free coffee too! Plus it is family owned and they always recognize and greet me when I come in."
"Great market. Meats are great. Had the carne asada, Al pastor, pollo, and chorizo. The chips are fresh and crunchy. The salsas are fresh. Love the habanero. The staff is very friendly. I'll stick to this market."
"Very small storefront, that specializes in selling fresh corn tortillas (made in-house). We picked up a package of corn tortillas (plan to use it to make quesabirria tacos and home fried tortilla chips), a pack of flour tortilla (made by another local company), and fresh tortilla chips. The whole thing cost around $7, and they only take cash. They sell other smart corner market things...but really would only come for the tortilla. On Pine and Aneheim so close to DTLB."
"Small neighborhood carniceria serving delicious tacos and other prepared meals.Came here for lunch and got a Gordita with chicharron and green salsa, one taco de lengua , my son got himself a Gordita with lengua meat, one carne asada taco and one pollo taco. The Gorditas were as large around as one plate and packed pretty full with meats. The sauce was a spicy enough for us both to have runny noses.Meats were tender, flavorful and just the right amount per taco. The Gordita itself seemed made on the spot .Wait time was close to 20 minutes but only one lady was taking orders and cooking them!Always need my Mexican Coke, plus a pack of blue tortillas to take home. Will definitely recommend this place, just be sure to follow the traffic flow because I didn't and ended up having to go against traffic in the really small parking lot. Marinated meats are also on display for sale and also has limited vegetable section,"
"When you want to eat nothing but the best come to Carniceria El Cortez. This is what I call a boutique, Carniceria! Family-owned business over 30 years. Original location in Norwalk. You walk into a perfect Carniceria. Well thought out . Good meats fast service Friendly faces. I can tell they are really good people because they have my favorite TV show on #Heartland #5Stars"
"Customer service was amazing. The fish options were excellent. Ask for Armando, he knows all the right answers."
"Really good selection of WIC items which makes it easy to shop. They also always help me out to my car with my bags and the workers have a good attitude. My only request is more of a fruit and veggie selection. Quick and easy place to shop"
"Best aguachiles I've ever had and I've tried plenty! I can see myself coming every Thursday for my fresh aguachile fix. They mix the ingredients to perfection with it being the perfect amount of spicyness. Can't wait to also try the short ribs w their secret marinade. Family owned business that takes great care of their customers. Great food and a convenience store all in one. Don't sleep on those aguachiles on Thursdays! So fresh and so clean. I want some more already!"
"I come in here and get smoothies about once a week. The young man, Jude, who makes them always dies such a great job. All the employees here are friendly and helpful. It's a great overall experience."
"This little local market is truly a hidden gem. They have alkaline water, Homemade ice cream bars (words can't explain just how delicious these are)A large variety of teas, honey (rare organic from Colima Mexico w/ bee pollen) and a bunch of other goodies. They also have a good PPE shelf and you can get N95 mask. I don't eat meat but word in the hood is that the chicken and carne is out of this world!"
"My colleague first brought me here, to his neighborhood breakfast spot. By breakfast spot, he meant breakfast burritos. This is truly a neighborhood spot. It's got that 1800s country store vibe. A little bit of everything to sell, in addition to breakfast burritos and coffee. The breakfast burritos are pretty decent. You can eat at one of the few tables in the front patio, or the covered garden in the back."
"Cashiers are always so sweet. The meat man is always pleased to serve and the produce is nice. The music is lovely but not too loud. Sat and sun they have grilled chicken which is good and I heard they added carnitas to that menu. We got ranchera preparada, pollo preparado, and puerco adobado. Our meats came out delicious along with all of our sides."
"On sunday's they have grilled chicken that's marinated and butterflied that puts el pollo loco to shame. You can also buy tortillas, and half pints of beans and/or rice to make it a meal. Instructions for hipster columbusers: Just go inside, pay, and then go back outside and give the guy the receipt."
"Filipino grocery store, medium size on the western part of Long Beach. Has pretty much all that you would need for filipino cooking. It has a large meat/fish counters in the back. The have a small space in the front where you can buy Luisa & Son bakery goods. Prices seem a bit higher than some of the other big grocery chains (seafood city, island pacific). They have a small restaurant to the side, with classic dishes like pancit, pata, and shanghai style eggrolls. Was hoping for some fried mackrel....next time."
"You really have to watch for this spot I've driven past it for years. See the sign from the outside if you're Paying attention but if not it is completely lost. I would say that if you're heading south on Atlantic just before PCH you would never even know it exists unless you're really checking out the area. Most notable from North bound traffic. And when I did see the signs thought it was just a normal little liquor store. Stopped in today and it's a actual little market. They have all the dry fruit pasta or rice cereals can food etc. they have fresh vegetables and produce aisle which is noted off To keep the vegetables fresh they even have a meat department not that I would probably shop in there. But the story is pretty well-kept pretty much queen and the people working there were nice."
"Vegan snacks, ice cream, cheeses, breads, all the things you could need and want and imagine! Staff is very sweet. They do have cakes that are made by someone else but still vegan. Delicious but get them before they run out! The pastries are always delicious. It's a small market but for it's kind, I'm thankful and glad it's even here! It's in the same shopping area as other vegan spots like pizza and such. Really cool. Really needed."
"If you're lookin' for Fresh Chicken, this could be your spot. The staff speak Spanish and might not be bi-lingual at the butcher area, so there could be a language barrier when ordering. It's a market and is fairly clean. The area is okay, not necessarily the best confidence instiller that it's 100% safe and a bit of a local 'hood with a sketchy feel... but if you go in the day, and park in their lot or the main street, you'll be fine. The rates seem okay, not as good as what you can get at LA's Chinatown for similar fresh butchered poultry, but this is the South Bay, Beach area of the LBC and if it's about convenience and proximity, or your Latin, more so than Asian, this could be a better option.I like it enough to give 'em * * * * four stars for their unique appeal and offerings of fresh poultry as opposed to what's sold at supermarkets."
"I grew up on Nancy's! So Nancy's is this hole in the wall liquor store that sales mexican food. Well actually it sales all types of food. It's owned by a family where the mother or dad would be cooking or manning the cashier register. The dad really takes pride in his store and everyone knows Louis! The store was named after his youngest and only daughter nancy! Now on to the food.I have had the tacos, hamburgers and burritos.. Now the burritos I have only had the steak. They are huge, cheap and really good. A lot of the workers in the area come and get lunch.. The ground beef tacos are also big, they come with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese once again really good you pretty much get whatever you want on them. Now this place is located in the hood and the only reason why I know about it is because growing up this was the place to go.. Personally I like this place better than Martha's in gardena."
