"Olive Pit Grill in Brea is a hidden gem for Mediterranean food lovers! And the atmosphere is super cute and chic. Indoor + outdoor patios are VERY spacious! We got a LOT, but here were our absolute favorites and must-orders:Mains- Grilled Wild Salmon Salad (incredibly good - best salad I've ever had)- Lamb Pizza- Lamb ChopsSide- Fried Asparagus with garlic aioliDessert- Tiramisu with baklava baseThe staff was also SUPER friendly - our waiter was so helpful and the bartender is the BEST!!This place feels luxury beginning to end but actually has affordable prices. We will be back AGAIN AND AGAIN!!"
"Our friend took us to this restaurant to have dinner and listen to the live band, unfortunately the live band is on vacation this month. This place has a cool vibes to it. It has some beautiful pictures of the Greek Isles on the wall and in the bathroom wall. Our server was good. We ordered Mousaka, Stuffed Bell Pepper, Greek Salad with Gyro. Every dish was delicious! The Gyro was tender and moist. The Mousaka was well seasoned. Definitely will come back. This is one of the better Greek restaurant in OC."

"Great place, many choices, reasonably priced and a famous spot, lots of customers Customer service was friendly and they came to our table to refill coffee without having to be asked. I'll come back again"
"Went to Nick's yesterday and I had the Beeftiki gyro and tried some of my bf's Nicks fries. Both were pretty good! I finished my entire gyro, so I'd definitely eat another one. The service was friendly. Our cashier was Genie and she was humorous and sweet. The ambiance is fast/casual. I liked their Christmas decor which made it warmer in there, but otherwise it's comparable to an In-n-Out vibe (just blue instead of red). Overall, I'd keep this place in mind to eat at again when I'm in the area."
"Food was good, but the meat portions were abysmal. Dine-in prices for food court services...Not sure what I was expecting for Mediterranean food in a mall."

Great spot in Brea! They also have a Huntington Beach location. The food is always really good! I'm a fan of the kabobs and their small bites are really good.Definitely get the Tzatziki! This location seems to always be pretty busy, I've been for lunch and dinner. The outside patio is nice, if you come during the day. It's very cute inside and nicely decorated. Both times I've been to this location the service has been kind of unwelcoming. Not rude or bad by any means, just kind of straight to the point and rushed. The tables in the middle section are also kind of crammed in. Maybe move the two top out from in between the two four tops. Or only seat people there when you're at capacity.Would still definitely come again, just know what to expect! Would also be a fantastic take out option!

Very inexpensive, staff was very friendly, large portions. I had the boasted chicken. Came with soup, salad, baked potato, bread, and the chicken. Was less then 12 dollars plus tax. Everything tasted fresh.

Grew up a Chicago S. Side Greek. I have been in CA since 1993 and this is the spot. Nick is a great guy, funny and personable. I have had many Gyro but this was a the best. Warm, Juicy and the flavoring was amazing. They even had great big TV to watch tennis match.Great meeting you Nick, see you soon.Andrew

Yay or nay? 0/2The gyro was unacceptable. I have never had a gyro with such a small amount of meat (see photo). It was mostly cucumbers, and they were not even seasoned well. You'd think a Gyro filled with cucumber would at least be a decent size, but it was also tiny. Tried a bit of my family's food and the chicken and beef they received tasted like some rubbery meat from another planet. I've never had anything quite as gross before. I don't know if it was old or overcooked or what it just tasted awful and had a very weird texture. I'm not convinced that was beef or chicken. I'd avoid this spot, unless the sound of mystery meat sounds intriguing to you lolExpensive? Worth it? 0/1Considering how horrible everything was, this place is definitely not worth the price.Location 0/1We ordered delivery so I can't comment much on the location. I looked it up and it seems to be located inside of the Stonewood Mall so there should be plenty of parking available. I'd really reconsider if you were planning to eat here, unless you're treating someone to lunch that you really dislike. Plan to return? 0/1 No way.

A great place for an early dinner. The happy hour is from 3-7 PM and includes drinks and appetizers. A great way to try a lot of different items. Tawni took great care of us and helped us choose great morsels. My wife really enjoyed her martini. At half the price of the bar at the Hyatt and just as good.We enjoyed the flaming Saganaki table side. Hot, creamy, and stringy cheese.Spinach poppers were crunch on the outside and tasty inside. The hummus and tzatziki were also good, though we had way too much pita bread at our table. The beef dolmas were also a hit.The only thing we weren't crazy about was the Avgolemono soup. It could have used some chicken and more lemon.

"Don't be fooled by this place. While it doesn't look like a regular restaurant, this place has Mediterranean options and more. If you're with a crew that could not decide what to eat, this is the place for you. Apart from having solid kebabs, you can order bao buns, tacos, katsus, poke bowls and more. As impersonal this place is -- you put in an order through a touch screen we had really good friendly interactions with the different people who peeked out of the window to deliver your order or check in on your food. Shout out to Dejan!"
"They have a nice selection for breakfast. We had the breakfast burritos with a side of fruit. So tasty! And the service was so fast. Amber offered us great service and was very attentive, which I appreciate. They have a decent amount of space. I like that they have a patio area. There is a paid parking lot right across the street.I'd like to go back for lunch and/or dinner to try out the gyros."
"This is my absolute favorite Mediterranean restaurant...and I have pretty much been to them all! The food and the service both perfection! For sure you gotta start with the grilled octopus appetizer. It is amazing served with a flavorful but light sauce. The fried zucchini are also so so good! I've had almost everything here. There really isn't anything that I don't love! The wraps, the fish, and all of the kabobs, the steak, chicken, lamb...and I actually don't even like lamb, but I love it here! The humus, and all of the sides, especially the beer battered french fries, and then the best dessert here is the baklava ice cream. Everything is fresh and super delicious!"
"Love getting catered food from here. Value is awesome to feed my family of 17 and a party of 50 or more. Call ahead and they'll prepare everything. You can order and eat there since there are seats but I love to enjoy their fresh food in the comfort of my home."
"I've known about The Marketplace Grill Cafe because I had driven by it several times. When they were in Long Beach, that is. They used to be located in the Vons Circle Center by the Long Beach traffic circle before becoming TAP24, which retained the same concept as Marketplace Grill Cafe, but has no affiliation whatsoever.I honestly wouldn't have known about this location in Downey, however, if not for Fivestars. I had an offer on my account, and like I said in a recent review of a different Fivestars business, it's a great way to get customers through that front door! This Marketplace Grill Cafe is in Downey's Courtyard Business Center on the north side of Florence west of Paramount. There's ample parking, but some spots are reserved for Marketplace customers only. You can tell by the various signs posted around the lot. One such sign directs you to the drive thru. Yes, they have a drive thru. No, I wouldn't recommend going there to place a large order and upset the customer behind you in line. Plus, I'm not sure I could have used my Fivestars reward at the drive thru, at least in an efficient manner. The drive thru sign mentions that if you place an order either online or over the phone, you should go inside to pick up your order.I went inside to place my order. First, I highly recommend looking at the menu online beforehand: https://themarketplacegrillcafe.com/menu/. The TVs behind the order counter change screens pretty frequently, so you may not get a good glimpse of one part of the menu before the TV unwarrantedly switches to a photo of some delicious food, which as delicious as it looks, I really wish they would keep those TV screens stationary so as to not mess with the indecisive.I knew I wanted the Salmon & Shrimp, which consists of a grilled fresh salmon fillet, sauteed shrimp, cilantro lime vinaigrette, risotto, vegetables, and focaccia bread. The entree comes with two sides, which by default are risotto and vegetables, but you can switch if you'd like. I still went with the risotto and vegetables because I'm trying to avoid the deep fried goodness that is fries. If I recall correctly, none of the sides are premium except for the soup, which would incur a $1 upcharge. I didn't ask what soup it'd be, but I'm guessing it is contingent on the day of the week. The Salmon Plate is pretty much the same as the Salmon & Shrimp with the exception of the sauteed shrimp, but it's only $1.40 less. Don't think you're getting that great a deal if you upgrade to Salmon & Shrimp because you don't get that much shrimp, but it's still a nice, and not to mention tasty, add-on nonetheless.I didn't think my Fivestars offer would have included a dessert, but according to the cashier, it did! The only dessert I saw was the baklava in the adjacent display case, and so that's what I went with. Their website lists more extravagant options, but I'm happy enough with the baklava, especially since I was almost sugared out that day.I also asked for a cup of water, and they placed it on my table while I was in the restroom at the near corner of the cafe. The wait for my food was about 13 minutes, so the baklava did keep me company for a while. It was good, and not as sweet as I would have thought that I'm sure any other dessert choice would have pushed my sugar intake over my quota for the day. When I was presented with my plate, the first thing I thought of was Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. The plate was seriously that large, and it was chock full of the seafood, risotto, and the grilled vegetables. However, the price point was closer to that of Sea Island Shrimp House, IYKYK, though do bear in mind the Fivestars offer I mentioned before.Had I taken my order home to eat, I would have given this review 4 stars because everything kind of missed the mark in flavor. However, at each table indoors, they have a half dozen bottles of sauce that you can use for your meal. And these sauces packed a real punch that gave all of my food the flavor my taste buds craved. The use of a plastic fork in supplement with a fancy steak knife did seem eccentric. There is a nice outdoor patio, but I didn't see any sauces on the tables outside, which I find kind of odd. It would make for a nice relaxing meal by a small waterfall next to the sidewalk, but those sauces are a must! Just be careful with the A1 because after struggling to get any hot sauce, I splashed a good portion of my plate with the A1 sauce. Oops? lolService was pretty good. I felt taken care of here that I was momentarily able to forget about all the troubles I've been going through lately and immerse myself in a nice and fancy cafe without splurging an amount typically spent at such a fine eatery. It's a shame I didn't get a chance to visit the Long Beach location before they became TAP24.I'm rarely in Downey, and I visit the Traffic Circle area every now and then. Should I pay a visit to TAP24 as well?? Let's just say if they also join Fivestars, I will! :)"
"Dined in on 01/31/25 - First time here.Have you ever dined somewhere and everything was just perfect? The food, the service, the ambiance. No? Well look no further because this is the place to be! We walked in and were greeted and seated like any other place. THEN... the experience began. You are greeted by your server and on this night, we had Simon. Such a great person! So welcoming and charismatic! He gave us the information on their Friday special, which was Kleftiko: a traditional Greek dish of slow-roasted lamb with potatoes and vegetables. Slow-roasted for six hours. I thought my friend and I agreed to share it and get another dish as well but she wanted her own. Lol so here is what we ordered:Kelftiko - 2 orders lol - The meat was soooo tender! Same with the potatoes which had a nice texture and seasoning to it. The side salad was sooo fresh! Dolmathes: Grape Leaves Stuffed with Ground Beef, Rice, Tomato, Spices, Tzatziki *Vegetarian upon Request - This was surprisingly amazing! Such a simple dish but absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of Chianti wine. Both dishes were amazing. Their food is fresh and all made in-house. Because of this, their food gives off a home-cooked feeling and personal touch. The manager came over and said hello. After a short chat, he offered us a complimentary baklava: a rich and flaky layered pastry dessert made with thin phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and a sweet syrup or honey. My friend and I are coming here at least once a month from now on. When you get amazing food and meet amazing people, how can you not?! 10/10 absolutely will be back!"
