"Hidden away on a quiet street, The Dock captures your attention right away as it is the only restaurant that is bright enough to be noticed. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the host and a wall full of wine. The host takes you to the back where the salty air and smell of wine permeates the room. For those of you who like to be surrounded by the wading boats and laughter in the room, this is the place where you can forget your arguments and be truly present. Come and order a drink for the occasion. I got Endless Summer and truly, it was the last drink before the season changes again. As an appetizer, I got the octopus, a small dish where you'll still have room for more food. As the main entrees, I got the fish of the day and of course, the lamb. If you ever had lamb anywhere else, well, those restaurants cannot compare to this one at The Dock. The lamb was cooked nicely and without the gamey taste, which is my preference. I would go back here again for the location, good, and ambiance."

"The best fine dining experience I've ever had. My partner took me here to celebrate my birthday. Located in a basement, the restaurant was nicely decorated and felt like you're living a different era. I've never seen something like this before so it was truly a unique setting for a fancy yet cozy dinner. This spot is great for a special occasion or date night. Our server was awesome. Since it was our first time, she was always checking in on us and also provided awesome recommendations from cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. For cocktails, we ordered the London Fog, Pumpkin Old Fashioned, and Cellar Old Fashioned. I had the London Fog and it was one of my favorite cocktails I've had. Not what I was expecting in terms of flavor and was truly surprised! We also had a complimentary bread basket which we devoured, then had the bone marrow appetizer and French onion soup. The bone marrow came in a big portion and was full of flavor. I didn't eat much of the bread since it was too hard for my liking. The French onion soup was delicious! Great service since they split it for us into two bowls so we can enjoy our soup. The best French onion soup I've ever had. For our entree, we had chef's choice. From what I remember, it was a 20oz medium rare Boneless Ribeye with a blue cheese sauce and duchess potatoes. With the sauce, it reminded us of what a dry aged steak tasted like, which blew our minds. The potatoes were also delicious. And you can't forget the dessert... we ordered a petite chocolate soufflé with salted caramel anglaise. They recommend ordering as you get your entree as it takes time to prepare. No regrets here as this soufflé was so tasty. I love the warmth of the dessert, and it wasn't too sweet! Chocolate and salted caramel go well together. The crème brulee was amazing. So rich and creamy. Although we were full, we finished our dessert because of how delicious they were.If I could give 10 stars, I would! Will come back again soon."

"Incredible dedicated gluten free breakfast/lunch place. Blown away by the made to order cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven on a cast iron skillet, and their out of this world sourdough bread. I've been a gf baker for 20 years and my daughter works in a gf bakery. I am very impressed with the taste and texture of their bread, and my son, the gluten eater agrees!The staff is lovely, and it's a beautiful location inside and out. Lots of little touches of love throughout. Everything is fresh and from scratch, and it shows. The tartines and the American breakfast are fab! Also, the thickly sliced smoked bacon, hello, maybe the best we've ever had.I had the pleasure of eating there twice before heading back to the Bay and I miss it already. Fortunately for me, I was able to make room for their giant sourdough loaf in my carry on!"

"Came for bagels. They only had plain bagels left so I ordered one with black garlic cream cheese and one with smoked fish. They were both delicious. Fish is a little pricey but it's really elevated bagel. Black garlic was unique and had me gobbling the entire thing. Probably not an everyday bagel spot but when I want an elevated bagel I know where to go. Staff was super friendly and the location is in a really cute hotel."

"We were there for my friends 40th birthday. We had the whole restaurant booked for our private party except outside. Cute littel place in Huntington Beach. Parking wasn't too bad located inside the Old World Village. We started with french onion soup which was superb. All the ones from other restaurants were on the salty side but this one from here was super flavorful and not salty at all. They paired all the appetizers with rose to start. The group had three options to pick from but my husband and I both decided to get soup. For our main course we opted in for Chicken Dijon and Beef Bourguignon and our main course was paired with cabernet sauvignon. Last but least for our dessert we got creme brulee and nutella banana and they were both delicious. Creme brulee was another level of creaminess and full of flavor. Glad we were able to try authentic French food and we all walked out happy. They definitely have lot of wine options vs beer options but Spaten beer we got were pretty good (almost tasted like better tasting New Castle beer). Definitely will go back for their breakfast. Cute place and two owners were super friendly and loved the european accent."

"After returning to try Mary's Chicken which is fantastic, I must give this a 5 star rating. The chicken is crisp on the outside panfried and tender with a lovely gravy ladled on top. The Crab Avocado Roll was also excellent. Our server made great recommendations and I would say this is a nice casual sit-down dinner kind of place that's not a bar per se, but would be ideal for a date, double date or a small group dinner as you can still hear each other. Located by Hermosa Pier."

"This restaurant is great for an intimate vibe. At night the interior is cozy and dim, with a water view of the bay! I went pretty late around 8:30. We sat right away and the waiter was very attentive the whole time. He even offered to help us take a group picture, very kind. I got the basic burger and fries. The burger itself was ok. The beef was on the drier side. The bun was soft with a tasty sauce. The burger was a much higher bread to meat ratio. The fries are skinny and crunchy, they were pretty addicting. The food profile is not very unique I would say, but not bad. We let the waiter know it was one of our friend's birthday, which he gave a complimentary scoop of ice cream! Overall very cute and nice place to share a meal."

"4.5 rounding up. It was my first time here as my friend suggested it. There's plenty of parking here as it's located in a strip mall. I made reservations online and by the time I got there, she was already seated. They had a brunch menu and all day menu. We opted for the caviar and potato chips. This did not disappoint, Prestige sturgeon caviar, lemon cream fraiche and chives, and house made potato chips. I liked the salty and savory and honestly, I could have eaten the whole bowl myself. The shrimp macarons were decadent, a little bit greasy but I would prefer this than it being dry. The dipping sauce had a nice kick to it that complemented the macarons. Again, I would order this again too.My friend ordered the Parisian Steak Frites, which she said was very good. I had the French onion soup, which was much better than other restaurants I've been to. I think I was too full from the macaron and caviar and chips to finish the soup. The chocolate molten wasn't exactly molten but damn if it wasn't tasty. I was expecting this dessert to be heavy but it wasn't. It was light and melted in my mouth and paired wonderfully with the fruits and vanilla ice cream.Service was great, here were only a few tables seated with people, which suited us because the restaurant was not that big. The restaurant was clean and bright."

I loved how the tables had small bouquets. There were three types of flowers in each vase! I thoroughly enjoyed my omelette. The mozzarella cheese was a nice change from the usual cheddar cheese on most omelettes. The pesto on top of the omelette was tasty! The thick slices of potatoes made the potato gratin!! My husband loves hash for breakfast, but had never seen chorizo hash. The chorizo was bite size slices prepared with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. The best hash he's had. We can't wait to try more options on the menu. Highly recommend this place for breakfast."
