"A great poke spot in DTLA! The tuna was marinated very well and the sauce was delicious. The portion is a bit small for the price but the quality of the fish and flavors are worth it! I would come back again for lunch and try their other items."
"I actually remember coming here in the 90s with all the skateboarders. It's been a while. In the late 90s I was a manager of a skate shop. Everybody from that crew met up today and got our seafood on. Such a good time ...we're gonna make it an annual event ! The next time we're we're going to charter a boat . The food was delicious. Very fresh. Nothing fancy just good seafood."

"I have been looking for a place that serves Clam Chowder Bread Bowls because my family loves them and they are kinda hard to find (unless I'm just not good at looking for one). This place serves such a great option at a reasonable price and my guys think it's delicious...and we'll definitely be return customers. I had the Shrimp Po' Boy sandwich and it was SO tasty, served alongside well-seasoned crispy french fries. I will definitely be trying their other sandwiches and switching up my orders when we make our numerous returns. It's a casual dining, order-at-the-counter situation. There is a station for various sauces and salsas, ketchup and what-not. The service is friendly. And the dining area is fairly large although I can see it getting pretty crowded and busy during peak times. Highly recommend for a casual seafood experience."
"The service was fine and the outdoor seating is great but what i ordered was just ok. BIG portion for a chicken bowl. I could not even finish it. The chicken was not really seasoned at all. Just looked like white meat chicken so it was all just sort of bland. The baja sauce was bland too and didn't really help. Also i love cheese but thing was drenchhhhed in cheese (see pic). Way to much shredded cheese. My friends taco plate and rice and beans were a huge portion too. Will come back but will try something else nice time. Prices are reasonable though."
"Such a cute restaurant (and cute owner, Zuke). Best panna cotta ever!!Authentic Japanese food served by a Japanese staff We will be regulars since we live a block away from the restaurant"
"We like that they are open late on the weekend.Great location We love Irish foodThank you very much"
"1. The fish and fries were deliciously crispy!2: The spot has fun casual vibes with European decor!3. There are few indoor tables and no outdoor seating!4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order!5. Parking lot is medium-size, and it doesn't get busy!Note: I did not easily see a restroom available for customers!Photo: London Special"
"Visited Kim's Fish World today... This time I arrived when there was ample parking I felt led to go ahead and park in the parking lot RIGHT IN FRONT since there weren't hardly any cars and didn't see any folks hanging all out. I met Sam who I inquired about whether their telephones worked or not... Sam explained their phone was working and I shared that I called before coming and their was AGAIN no answer... I PLACED MY ORDER FOR: Fillet Sole - Lunch - no bread + Fries + hush puppies + hot sauce+ garlic tarter sauces The Food was GREAT for a RATING of: 5/5This is my 2nd visit where they do not answer their phones this causes the customer to have to place their orders in-person and wait. I do REALLY wish they would do better about answering their phone. I'm glad this time there wasn't crowds of people, hang outs in the parking lot and gatherings in the lot just to see folks argue and fight. I will try to come early from now on to avoid all that! -- I give this place an OVERALL RATING of: 4/5"

Ordered the 3 pc fish + 10 shrimp meal through a delivery service. Everything was very stale but the shrimp had a nice batter. Then I found a hair!Banana pudding was basic but good.

Wanted to find a super authentic, port area fish market and this place is as authentic as they come. Honestly, you can't go wrong on any items from the menu, but I went with the swordfish plate. Super fresh, cooked to perfection and the portion is larger than to be expected. We ate on the outdoor patio, but you can't also take your food over to the adjacent bar(owned by the same company) if the weather is too cold and windy. Overall great lunch spot with great service. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in the port area of Long Beach.

This is one of my top ten Southbay's favorite places to eat, everything you order it's good! To show why they are one of my top ten, there was a BOGO deal one of those apps where you can order food. I ordered the white fish with grilled zuccuni and white rice for order number one, since FishBonz had a few other BOGO choices, I coudn't pass on that deal and also ordered a second dish.... the battered fish and chips with fries and white rice. I didn't have to worry for tomorrow's lunch and dinner anymore! Food was amazingly delicious and fresh! The white fish would melt in your mouth, didn't even need the wedge of lemon to add flavor. Battered fish was so crunchy and really tasty. The tartar sauce doesn't have the strong flavor sometimes some do, this one it's just perfect. These four orders for only $27 with its BOGO deal. Let's just say that today's catch, was a great catch!!!

The food is amazing! Personally myFavorite is the grilled mackerel set! The fish is marinated and grilled to perfection. The server was very attentive and welcoming as well which made the food taste even better! He also makes the desserts too! I had this dessert set where I can have a taste of little bits of all the desserts they have and that suggestion was perfect! The food, service, price and the atmosphere is wonderful! Will definitely come back!

It's less salty than I remember it and less greasy too. This place used to be a different name. I like the new ownership changes in the taste. The price is fair . Would return

"Fish and chips were amazing and some of the best tartar sauce I've had. Tastes so fresh with great dill flavor."
"This is the kind of creative hole in the wall that we can't help give five stars to, every time. Like, a fried chicken AND fried fish spot? connected to a liquor store?? Occupying an entire strip mall L-shaped building painted bright purple and yellow with a mural of Kobe? Everything tasted like they were fried moments before we bit into them, which they were. The folks at Don's fry their food fresh with every order, and you can tell by how juicy and not-mushy the fish is. The hush puppies had a good crisp but avoided being too dense on the inside. The fries were as good as fries get. The tartar sauce was not cloying, and the hot sauce struck the delicate balance between hot, tangy, sour, just diluted enough to match the fish but not too runny. One constructive criticism: they bread their fish like one would bread fried chicken, and it's a bit thick for the more delicate meat. I would suggest they experiment with a slightly lighter breading for their seafood, especially since they go through the trouble of offering fresh snapper, catfish, oysters, etcThe whole operation is a Korean American family business, based on the conversation I overheard in the language. I was disappointed to not find any Soju or Korean snacks beyond ramen, but maybe that doesn't sell at the border of Long Beach and Compton."
"June 2024 | On Slauson: Off Da Hook Fish House is a simple restaurant with larger than life flavor! After moments of browsing the menu, beautifully handwritten in white on the red wall (w/a blue rope on gold posts in front of it), I decided on the Fried Shrimp w/2 sides; Greens & Macaroni Salad! There are so many mouthwatering & amazing options, both fried and grilled!Fried Shrimp: Yes, please! The crunch of it all had me excited at first bite... the crunch that you can hear! Haha! The flavor had me grinning from ear to ear & almost made me wanna' dance, because it was so good! I called one of my friends and told her about it, as she knew the area better, but had not heard about the restaurant! Now she knows and wants to try it!Greens: Though it took me time to take the meat out, the flavor was that homemade taste that I grew up on! I highly recommend!Vibe/Customer Service: Friendly! I was immediately excited to see Nipsey on the wall!! Don't expect bells and whistles when you walk in. However, know for a fact, hard-hitting flavor is included!Minus A Star: Got home craving the macaroni salad, and it was nowhere to be found! He forgot to put my macaroni salad with my order...Nooo! Haha! I was so looking forward to it! I recommend getting your order to go! There are a couple of tables with chairs. Overall: I've already told several friends about the restaurant & they also want to give it a try, as the crunch & flavor is Off Da Hook, just as the name says!"
"From the service to the food , 10000/10 .I want to start off by saying thank you to Kathy she was so accommodating and explained the menu breakdown and prices well , she was so sweet and she made me feel at home. The food was fresh & cooked to order so it took about 12-15 minutes but she let me know if i call it in next time i can avoid that wait time but honestly it was worth it so delicious so fresh i even got a thigh on the side & i swear me and my friend were drooling! Thank you kathy , definitely will be returning ! So mfkn bomb !!!"
"Melania and Antonio are great. They have a good selection of fresh fish, cooked seafood items like fried tilapia with rice and fried octopus, and ceviche.I have been pleased with the food items I have gotten here and the service. The price is just right, and you get a lot of food for what you pay. You can even eat at the tables in the market. The fried fish may be a little salty at times, but, other than that, I'm a big fan of the fresh, well-priced selection."
"I had been to the Long Beach Fish Grill in Long Beach once, but wasn't able to make a return visit before they were replaced by Guisados. I was disappointed.Rubio's was my go to for salmon, but they've since closed a few dozen locations in the Golden State, including the one I'd frequent. I was even more disappointed.I was planning a visit to The Enclave to visit a different business, but when I checked The Enclave's website, I noticed that Long Beach Fish Grill was still in existence! While relieved I could finally make that return visit, the geographical misnomer still gets me. If you closed your location in Long Beach, but kept your Torrance location open, shouldn't you rename it Torrance Fish Grill instead? lolAnyways, I originally came at 1 PM on Monday, thinking they'd be open until 3 PM as stated on their website. Come to find out, the signicade in front stated a takeout only Spring Special where you could get $5 off $20+ or $10 off $40+ on weekdays from 3 PM to 8:30 PM, an anachronistic discrepancy if I say so myself! How can you offer this on a Monday if you'd be closed by then?! I went inside to try and find out, and lo and behold, a different sign specified that the Spring Special would be valid from 2 to 3 PM on weekdays. Such conflicting information pesters me to a great extent; it's like they're trying to mess with us!I asked a cashier to verify the hours of this Spring Special, and she mentioned it would start at 2 PM. I was willing to wait an hour since I had something else to do nearby.Fast forward to 2 PM, and I see a different cashier behind the counter. I ask her about the Spring Special, but she says it starts at 3 PM! Seriously?! I told that cashier the same conflicting info I saw on both signs, mentioning her co-worker who told me 2 PM, and she said she'd honor the discount anyways. The Spring Special would only work on takeout orders, which I was wiling to do since there was plenty of seating elsewhere in the Enclave. To reach $20, I chose the Salmon from the Create Your Grilled Plate option. In addition to the choice of fish, you get to choose your seasoning as well as one side. 4 sides are complimentary, but 5 are premium, incurring an upcharge of 10 quarters. I almost picked "All Coleslaw" until I realized at the last minute the plate would already come with coleslaw, so then I switched to brown rice.I was still 2 quarters short of $20, so I requested an extra sauce, a $1 upcharge. I had chosen the Garlic Butter as my choice of seasoning for the salmon, so I switched gears on the extra sauce and went with Cajun, also a choice of seasoning. The CYO Grilled Plate also comes with a toasted garlic bread. After receiving a pager, I asked the cashier how long I'd have to wait; she estimated about 15 minutes. The pager buzzed between the 10 and 15 minute mark, and the first cashier was there to hand me my order while the second cashier who took my order took a cell phone break outside.I sat at a table within the Enclave to enjoy my meal. The salmon and brown rice were in a pie tin while the coleslaw and garlic bread were bagged separately. The pie tin also included a large lemon wedge to add some lemon flavor to my meal. The salmon came in two small fillets, but were cooked well. However, the garlic butter taste was quite minimal. Good thing I ordered that extra Cajun sauce because it really came in handy, exemplifying the taste profile of the salmon by a great deal! I also used a little on the garlic bread and the rice.I was pleased with the generous amount of brown rice I got. It didn't look like much at first, filling only half the pie tin, but there was more hiding underneath the salmon.Coleslaw was fine. Nothing more to say about that.I also want to point out the menu you see online may not be up to date. One other entree I was considering was the Grilled Salmon Burger. The website says it is $13.50, but the menu inside says $15.95. They likely haven't gotten around to updating their website, but if they haven't even updated the name, I guess I shouldn't be surprised lol. They have a fair amount of tables inside for dine in, but if you can save a few bucks by ordering to go, why not?!Overall, I'm glad that Long Beach (or Torrance lol) Fish Grill hasn't closed for good, and it's a spot I would recommend if you're craving seafood. If they have something similar to the Spring Special during the summer, definitely take advantage of that deal! There's nothing on their website that mentions the Spring Special, so I wouldn't have known about it unless I gave them a call."
"Came here on a Wednesday, it wasn't busy so I was hoping wings would be made to order. I decided to the #11, 10 wings, fries and a drink for $15.35. It was $16.92 with taxes. Not bad..I got spicy garlic and lemon pepper with a Dr. Pepper, man these wings and fries were hot and fresh! To my surprise the spicy garlic kind of tasted similar to buffalo but with more of an acidic kick. Not too bad. Lemon pepper was lemon peppering! It had a good amount of dry rub! Some pieces did get a bit more seasoning than others. Which was ok, nothing that a little dusting off and ranch won't help. The ranch is typic Green Valley Ranch dressing/packets, which is fine. But I love me some buttermilk ranch!Think this place will succeed, as long as it keeps its wings freshly made. The prices are better than wingstop, and they offer more than wings. Like fish, pastrami sandwiches and that's already a bonus! I will come back to try the other flavors. Wish I could try them all in one visit!"
"Good stuff.. Fried chicken, fries, shrimp and fish was freshly cooked. We ordered the seafood combo. 15 shrimp+2 fish and it comes with rolls and fries. Or you can change it to rice. The chicken and fish had a little kick to it. Spicy as my daughter said. It was good and tasty don't get me wrong. But the fish seemed a little undercooked. The shrimp was my favorite. Fries is freshly cooked and good. The rolls well they gave us a entire bag and since I had fries I could not eat the bread. But I loved the shrimp. I want to try the chicken strip next time. So YES I am coming back. But to this one only cause my cousin said the other Louisiana restaurant are not good and don't taste the same. This one is the best one. It took probably 15/20 mins for our food to be done but I knew it would be fresh cause we did order the 20 piece. The service was cool. Place has four tables. Thick protection glass but what for there is a big hole where you order and pick up. Lol but other than that. This place does NOT take credit or debit cards. But it ONLY take CASH or EBT!Parking is in their lot since they share it with other stores. So private lot in the plaza.."
"Wow I love their sushi and the owner is kind of sexy ! The fish burgers are amazing and finger lickin good ! I recommend this place toAnybody who is interested in coming here . Don't even think twice just come and enjoy for yourself !"
"It's So good and the employees are very nice. The lobster roll is delicious . I also got the catfish and shrimp which was also good."
"Missing food deliver guy wouldn't even answer my calls I ordered the oyster and shrimp with hush puppies and only got my hus puppies"
