"Hands down some of the best matcha I have had in OC, and I haven't had many that I truly enjoy as much as this one. I really liked the fact that the matcha was ceremonial grade. I got a raspberry matcha latte which had condensed milk in it as well. I haven't really seen a raspberry flavored matcha around so this was something unique and different. The tartness of the berry went really well with the sweetness of the condensed milk, and you could taste the quality of the matcha. The color was also a really vibrant green which is always a good way to tell if the matcha is high quality. My sister got a classic strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and she loved it. The inside is really cute, they have some merch and a few specialty food items that are cool to browse at. Plenty of seating also. They had a food menu as well but since we were getting lunch after we didn't try anything. Extra points for having vegan dessert options though! We will be back to try out some food next time."
"I came here first thing last Tuesday 2/4/25 as I left the facility I was in for 65 days. I was told this place which was recommended by my wonderful friend Jen, was close by and great to support. It was only open till 2 pm, so I was glad that I snuck in at 1:30 pm to get a quick order to go. While waiting for my order, I enjoyed looking around at this cozy establishment. I ordered an iced Ube latte, a pork bun, and a chicken bun for my first visit here. This place did not disappoint! Asaru showed great customer service as he took my order, was so super friendly! I'm glad I got the items to go as I didn't want to be stuck in traffic heading to my next location. I had my excellently made drink and ate the two buns, was a perfect little snack combo for an hours drive! I definitely can't wait to get back here again to try more items, come here with Jen, and spend some time in this relaxing atmosphere!!!"

"This spot is a one-stop shop with a diverse menu, located in Downey Landing near the cinema. I came across it while searching for coffee options and was drawn in by its menu. One of its standout features is a robotic arm that makes espresso shots, though it was unfortunately out of service due to a software update, so I didn't get to see it in action. The interior is stylish and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by Brian, the manager, who was in the middle of training a new employee. As he took my order, he carefully explained each step to the trainee, which I appreciated. I ordered a hot Biscoff Cookie Latte in a large size. If you want to upgrade any drink from regular to large, it's just an additional $1.While waiting, I browsed their selection of pastries and other menu items. As I was exploring, the trainee personally delivered my drink, but it was a regular size instead of a large. When I pointed it out, they quickly realized the mistake, apologized, and promptly corrected my order.Since it was raining, I was really looking forward to a comforting cup of coffee, and overall, it delivered. The best part was that the latte wasn't overly sweet, despite the Biscoff cookie flavor. I expected a stronger Biscoff cookie flavor, but it was quite subtle, mostly tasting of vanilla. I also wished the drink had been hotter. Maybe next time, I'll ask if they offer an "extra hot" option. Will be definitely going back with kids to try their other menu options."
"Sur is our go to coffee shop. we love the girls who work here, the coffee is delicious, and it has great community vibes. they treat our daughter wonderfully, and she loves getting her "latte" (steamed milk) and blueberry muffin here- they have always made her feel like such a big girl :-) highly recommend."
"Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some tea and coffee and to check this place out. I am not a coffee drinker so I got their Citrus Chamomile ($4) iced. It was very refreshing, but I'm not sure I could taste the citrus part of it. Way more Chamomile in my opinion. My husband got an Americano with a Cafe De Olla syrup ($3.75). The syrup tasted like a horchata! So combined with the coffee, which had a nice layer of cinnamon on top, my husband thought it was delicious. It was also iced. The menu isn't extensive, but they have a good selection of coffee and syrups. They also have a kids section with hot chocolate and slushies. There's some chairs and tables inside for people to relax and sit down. The cashier was really friendly and helped us pick out something she thought we'd like. They also offer baked goods like big chocolate chip cookies and breads but we didn't try any.Parking is easy as there's a lot next to them."
"The best coffee shop!!! People who work there and there coffee are the best. Sleek modern design inside. Simplicity at its best. The coffee, food and service are top notch. Great neighborhood addition."
"Yummy coffee and relaxing vibe. Great brewed coffee here and plenty of real estate indoors and outdoors to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee. They also have to go cold drinks, such as kombucha, cold brews, and cold pressed jars. They also have pastries that you can enjoy with your delicious coffee. This place is easy to find on the corner of the street. Parking can be tight so be patient. There are nondairy options I used in my delicious maple lavender."
"I just tried my second bag of coffee. The fIrst was very good but slightly acidic for my taste. Chris recommended 2 different beans, and he also told me how I could mix the two for my desired taste. He was spot on. Best of all the prices were very good and the beans are roasted daily. He always has coffees that have rest a couple days and is ready to use.I cancelled my online subscription immediately and i am not looking back. I highly recommend Delta Cafe Roasting"
"Very nice, casual restaurant very close to where we are staying on the island. I had a chicken burrito which was very different a typical burrito supreme. But it was very good and also large enough for a second meal! The wife had the layered enchiladas. Same - different, tasty, and plenty of food!"

How did I not know about this place sooner??Coffee was good, but in all honesty their food is SO delicious! Walking in this morning, I was greeted by two SWEETEST and Friendliest ladies! It was my first time here, so I was kind of overwhelmed with all the choices they have.I decided to get the strawberry Matcha and last minute i saw they had the pistachio matcha and so i changed my order. They were so nice they gave me both. The LABNEH was phenomenal! I literally went to all the Mediterranean restaurant and nothing compares to this place! So good. They have really cool items to purchase throughout the shop. I got their spicy fried shallots n garlic, so good too!! Definitely will be returning !

Omg glad to find my new favorite coffee spot around the area, but sad they are planning to close this location and more focused on the other 2 locations which are too far from my place...ughI tried their pandan Latte and I love how their taste is more on the milky side. I'll probably come back in near future to try their ube and Nido latte. The staff is friendly and seems to know what they have I guess, but there was only one person working, so the wait time was a bit long. There are more tables inside and I love all the vibes and the decoration they have there. Parking is plenty but limited in the plaza. I guess it depends on what time you come

I've visited 112 Café three times this month and it's only mid-month! I truly appreciate the offering of macadamia milk on the menu. I enjoyed the turmeric chai latte twice and decided to try the blue Matcha today. Brian's service is impeccable and his energy is very positive.I also dined in yesterday for brunch. I liked the ratatouille crêpe. My plus one ordered the stuffed French toast, and we shared turkey bacon, Coffee cake, cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was a birthday compliment mostly because my birthday is 1-12. So far everything tastes good, if not great. This café is upscale, and I foresee them needing to expand to another suite. The beautiful white (quartz or marble) Stone on tables and counters is the highlight of the decor. This business touts the first robotic barista in California. It's kind of cool to see it in action. The option to order ahead is available online, but not the last 30 minutes or so before closing.

As an HB local, I love going to SUR and have been a frequent visitor since it's been open!Drinks: 5/5+ Blue MatchaAlthough pricey, I love the coffee here especially the lattes! They are so yummy and even though they can be on the expensive side, I think it's worth the price, as the quality of your drink does make up for it. My personal recommendations are the Blue Matcha Latte and Peppermint Mocha Latte (seasonal). I also love going to the barista and asking for their personal recommendations if you don't know what to choose; I've been personally delighted every time!Service: 4/5Space is clean and ambience is great for a nice work day/study session with friends. It's walkable to the beach so you can enjoy a nice coastal stroll after you grab a coffee which is a HUGE plus! My only gripe is that it doesn't have a public bathroom, even for customers. For a coffee shop, I think it's such a big disservice to customers! Anyways bathroom aside, I think it's a great spot to hit if you're craving coffee and want a nice place to chat with friends!Pro-tip: check in on Yelp for 20% off!

Pretty good coffee- cortadito is especially good. Fantastic service. About 5-6 small tables- quiet for work/reading. Not really a chatty vibe when we went.Small lot to the side. Just be cautious of not leaving any valuables in the car as there were some sketchy people when we parked Would come back when in the area, but nothing I've craved since

Came here to Lamill for the first time a few weeks ago. I met up with a friend before we had brunch a few doors down at Lola's. Since the line to get in there is usually a long wait, we passed time by chatting over his iced coffee. The place is very modern inside, with clean lines, and very well lit with all the natural sunlight coming through the windows. It's a great spot to people watch while sipping on coffee or tea. The place isn't huge, but there's some seating inside as well as outside. The pricing is average, and the service is fast and friendly. The parking lot is somewhat limited, and on weekends, those Tesla super chargers may cause a line to even get in the lot. I ended up just going around all the Tesla drivers, lol. I'd come again!

I drink one or two cups of coffee every day and wanted to buy my beans from a local roaster. I tried at least 5 local roasters in Orange County but was never 100% pleased with the taste of the coffee: too bitter, no flavor, boring. Then one day I was taking a shortcut to the Fountain Valley Costco and noticed a colorful sign on a small storefront in a rundown industrial strip area. I slowed down and read the sign: Delta Cafe Roasting.I went in and stood at the half door and rang the bell. On the counter were visual samples of 5 levels of roasting and a couple of bowls of beans. I chose Columbian medium roast and went home to brew a cup. OMG, it was the best cup of coffee I had had in forever. They sell a one-pound bag whereas others sell 12-ounce bags for $10. That lasts me about a month. I am an Aeropress guy. My recipe is 16 grams with a medium grind with 8 ounces of water at 200 degrees. Seriously, this is the best cup of joe I have ever tasted. I went back a month later and asked about samples. I wanted to sample all their varieties and maybe even a lighter roast. I was willing to pay. The owner, Chris, came out and explained that they don't do samples because between the bag and the labor and the price it just isn't worth it. They supply restaurants and cafes and don't make much money one bag at a time. He gave me a tour of the back of the shop and I was truly impressed. Chris had either made or re-made all the equipment and it was a very impressive operation. You could tell he loves what he does.

"Say hello to Huntington Beach's most hidden coffee shop. You'll find Blue Flame nestled between a variety of warehouse buildings. The decor gives off authentic coffee roaster. You'll find roasting materials, large bags of coffee beans, and machinery scattered across the cozy space. I gave this business four stars because the strawberry matcha was a bit too sweet. It ended up taking a lot like Captain Crunch cereal and very little like matcha. I did love their variety of baked goods: muffins, scones, croissants, etc. They even offered samples of several flavors. The biz also sells pre-batched teas and coffees. The Thai Tea instantly caught my eye, but I ended up passing due to the $16 price tag. They have a limited number of seats available, mainly large community picnic tables. Parking is easy, so it's a great spot for a grab and go.Thankful to Yelp for introducing me to local gems like this one."
"Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 4/5This is a hidden gem in the North Long Beach area that makes good, strong coffee. The cafe itself is so quiet and beautifully designed, but be careful of your surroundings when you step outside (the main street isn't the safest). The iced honey oat latte here is my go-to order - they make it perfectly each time! They also have really cute merch that I've purchased as gifts, and they feature local artists whose art you can also purchase."
"I came here for one reason... matcha.I needed a pick me up during worth so I made the drive to check this spot out. I saw they had a rose matcha and went on my mission. When I arrived I was greeted by a very nice girl who was knowledgable. I got their iced matcha with the rose syrup. I was pleasantly surprised that Black Dog doesn't charge extra for milk alternatives. They also don't charge extra for any of their syrup options as well. My matcha ended up being really pleasant. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. Black Dog is a cute stand. They have a small outdoor seating area in front but it's more of a grab and go type of spot. I'd love to come back and try their other items."
"This coffee shop is fantastic for self-study or a small-sized group chat. The shop is airy and bright from natural and hanging lights. I ordered the AMERICANO to drink inside, and they poured the drink into a porcelain mug. The service took less than a minute. They also have free Wi-Fi and a few outdoor tables by the walkway. Two-hour street parking is available around the neighborhood. Make sure to check the time when there is street cleaning. The atmosphere was amazing, and I wasn't distracted studying. I'm definitely returning to this place."
"Couldn't be happier to find this place!!! Let me start off by saying I was a barista for 7 years so I'm a bit of a snobby coffee connoisseur (If I didn't make it, I usually don't like it). I really haven't had a memorably good coffee since I stopped being a barista a few years ago. Anyways, I like to stop by Baked Vegan Sweets which is next door, and last weekend I noticed the sidewalk sign for Scary Good Coffee & I was drawn to try it. I was shocked when I found out it was all vegan! I've been vegan for 8+ years now & I have never seen a fully plant-based coffee shop. Also don't let the word 'vegan' steer you away because this shop makes the creamiest most delicious lattes. The barista was super friendly & helped me pick a drink. I ended up trying the spanish cold brew iced latte. All I can say is WOW it's made with condensed coconut milk and cinnamon, it's the perfect amount of sweetness. The flavors of the coffee itself are just incredible. I'm tempted to get my coffee black next time, but I don't think I'll be drinking anything but the Spanish latte for a while! I tried to come again on Friday but didn't realize they're only open Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm. Still craving a coffee, I searched for the closed 5 star coffee shop and let me tell you it was majorly disappointing, so I was back at Scary Good Coffee the next day. I guess I'm back to being a coffee drinker and I can't imagine going anywhere else. This will be my regular weekend treat from now on! Cannot wait til they get popular enough to open 7 days a week. P.s. a loyalty program for frequent customers would be a great addition!"
"Delicious burrito!!! Really hit the spot. Coffee was so good too. Saved it in my favorites so I can come back next time I am in town."
"Ambiance: it's a spacious coffee shop with the roasting factory in the rear, simple and cozy decorations inside, good for takeout coffee Service: super friendly and very patient with questions, accommodated specific requests Drink: simple menu items CAPPUCCINO - **** Australian style with cocoa powder, bitter taste, recommend GOLDEN LATTE (CAFFEINE FREE) - **** light and creamy turmeric taste, recommend Price: premium quality and decent prices, about $6 each coffee"
"I'm always pleasantly surprised by the wholesomeness of the Seal Beach business community and Javatinis is no exception. This storefront sits in downtown and specializes in coffee, smoothies, baked goods, and light bites. The cafe is on the smaller side with just a few tables for those who prefer to sip their caffeine in person. I stopped by for a grab-and-go situation and ordered their matcha frap and the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was the perfect size and gave me just enough energy to get the day started. A matcha frap might not have been the best move on a rainy afternoon, but I loved the taste and sweetness level regardless.I also adore how community-forward this coffee shop is. Visitors can explore their walls filled with photos of the Javatinis team dating back to 2013, business cards connecting you to local trades, and posters for upcoming events. You truly feel like you're in a small town exploring Seal Beach and I love that Javatinis leans into this identity."
"This bakery is one of the best OC bakeries ATM and that says a lot since it seems like there's a trendy bakery popping up at every corner nowadays. There was no wait, but I got there around 12pm on a Thursday and there were still several items available. I'm assuming they have a more options available the earlier you get there. Service was awesome, the gentleman at the counter was very nice and knew a lot about the pastries. The store had an industrial and modern vibe to it. What I ordered:1. Rosemary Foccacia 10/10: this focaccia was DELICIOUS. Soft and pillowy on the inside. I would absolutely recommend this. My family and I had it with pasta that evening and it was so perfect. 2. Ube cruffin 10/10: amazing! I've had many so called "Ube" pastries and the Ube in this cruffin tastes like true Filipino ube. Too many bakeries like to put "Ube" in their pastries, but tastes nothing like the real thing. It looks like it would be too sweet, but it's not. I would get this again. 3. Butter croissant 9/10: Flaky and buttery. A simple, but amazing croissant. 4. Chocolate chip cookie 8.5/10: a really great cookie and I feel like I'm a cookie connoisseur lol. Perfectly baked, golden brown and chewy on the inside. It is obvious that they use high quality chocolate. 5. Monkey Queen 8/10: this was good, I loved the texture. The inside was moist and the crunchy edges were the best part. It was just a tad sweet, but that's my preference as I don't like overly sweet pastries, but still good.6. Iced pistachio latte 7/10: there was a little too much milk in the latte, so the espresso to milk ratio was off, but a decent latte. I believe the pistachio syrup is house made and I really appreciate that. Everything was eaten so quickly and I didn't get the chance to take photos of everything, but this bakery is absolutely worth checking out."
"My buddy and I had finished a delicious dim sum lunch nearby. We had more to discuss so we looked for coffee. We weren't sure about the "Stereoscope" name, but when I poked my head in the door the delicious aroma of coffee pulled us in!The interior is rather barebones with a long counter and stools for seating. It is light and bright, and the server who assisted us was so helpful and friendly. The coffee was delicious! We sat in front on a comfortable bench out in the cool January sun. The world swirled past, we talked, we smiled, we laughed. I can't wait to come back again!"
"Great coffee , this place is super knowledgeable about their beans. Space has a very chill environment as well."
"Yumm! I got the Lava Me, which is a honey lavender latte and it was delicious. Even better they do milk substitutions at no extra charge! I loved the vibe of this coffee shop, they definitely get busy and I can see why. Inside it feels very comfy and cozy"
"Five stars thanks to Fivestars! Or sort of? lolSo I just had lunch elsewhere in Cerritos, and I was starting to feel that mid-afternoon crash that I normally get at work. But right after lunch?! Need coffee, stat!I would have gone to Paris Baguette on the opposite corner of the intersection, but they didn't have a reward for a drink, and that's when I turned to Fivestars, which Seven Syllables Coffee is a participating business. On my Fivestars app, there was an offer for a BOGO, but for whatever reason, it kept spitting out a stupid error message when I tried to save the offer on my phone. I was already there when I frantically tried to claim the offer, so I simply went inside to ask if they could somehow honor it on their end.As soon as I stepped inside, there were a handful of customers sitting on the tables by the left wall, and the lone barista, Chris, was chatting with one of them. When he saw me, he went behind the counter to take my order.I asked him if I could still get that BOGO offer in spite of the technical difficulties I was having with the Fivestars app. Like if I were to check in, could he make it work?He decided to call his supervisor and ask about it while also asking me to show him my Fivestars app on my phone. While that was going on, I looked at the menu on the glass pane by the register. I had my eyes set on the pourovers even though I didn't really know what they meant, but I was curious to find out! After he got off the phone, Chris said he'd be happy to honor the BOGO, and that's when I asked him about the pourovers. He described it well enough that I was willing to give them a try. However, when I asked him the difference between washed and natural processes, he had to go around the counter to find out what I meant. I didn't really understand his response, but I suppose it would have been hard to come up with a good one, even for an experienced barista. They have three choices for pourovers: Mexico Chiapas, Ethiopia Guji Shakiso, and Bolivia Illimani. I would have loved to try all three, but that would have been excessive for one visit. Two is more than enough; I chose the two countries located in the Americas. After paying, Chris mentioned that pourovers usually take a long time and that it'd take about 10 minutes to prepare. I honestly didn't even know that, so I appreciate that he let me know in advance before I could ask. After paying, I asked if they had WiFi for paying customers, and he said the info was on the bottom of the receipt.I sat at a two-person table in the far corner of the shop and connected to their WiFi while Chris was busy assisting a couple who came in right after me.Chris remained friendly and gregarious to all the customers, including yours truly. I thought he would have called my name and asked me to come over to the pickup counter, which is closer to the front door, but no, he went directly to me when my first pourover coffee, the Mexico, was ready. I appreciate he did it this way so that I could enjoy one while I wait for the other. They have some sweeteners and lids by the pickup counter, but since I was on the opposite end of the shop, I chose to go without either for the Mexico pourover. It was pretty bold in taste and definitely gave me the energy needed to continue my afternoon adventure that day.I tried some of the Bolivia pourover before finishing the Mexico one, and there were definitely nuances in taste between the two. It's hard to describe the two since I'm nowhere close to being a coffee connoisseur, but I felt the Bolivia one was a little sweeter and less bitter, though that's probably because I added a small bag of sweetener to that one lol. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either, and I'm sure you can't go wrong with Ethiopia either. In addition to the pourovers, they also have some matcha, loose leaf teas, and seasonals/specialties.Chris remained friendly to all the customers in the shop, especially the super talkative male customer from that aforementioned couple. He also asked how I liked my pourover when I went up to toss the empty Mexico cups away and get sweetener for the Bolivia cups. Notice the 's' after both instances of the word "cup" in the previous sentence? Chris made sure to add an extra cup for each pourover so they wouldn't get too hot, although I think coffee sleeves, which were right next to the sweeteners, would have been a better choice.Chris was the only employee I saw on my visit, and he held down the fort really well, taking a few orders after me and making all the drinks on top of nice and friendly conversations with the clientele.Seven Syllables Coffee, which also has seven syllables, is located on the northwest corner of Artesia and Carmenita. I'm not in that part of town often, but next time I'm craving coffee and have a Fivestars offer, I'm more than willing to return in spite of the numerous other coffee shops closer to me.Fivestars! I mean, five stars! lol"
"Stopped by here the other day since I was going into work late. I have passed it numerous times and knew I had to stop. The coffee shop is new to the neighborhood so it doesn't get too busy. There is a 30 minute parking area in front for those quick pit stops for some joe and a delicious hot pastry or breakfast item. As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized on how big it was. There is so much room with plenty of seating. For those who telecommute, they have private meeting rooms to reserve for some alone/quiet time. You can talk to the cashier to book but I heard it is first come first serve. I ended up speaking with the cashier and barista since it was my first time visiting. They recommended a hot La Paz with oat milk. OMG it was delicious. The latte has brown sugar so I was a bit hesitant but it was surprisingly not too sweet. I also ended up buying a heart shaped rice Krispie treat which was also yummy and not to sweet. Overall, greta coffee shop and close to work. Looks like I will be making more stops here before I go into work."
