"Not all Chick-fil-A locations are created equal as evidenced by the average rating, but on the other hand, I don't think this location is *that* bad in spite of how unique it is.You can find this Chick-fil-A on Atlantic just off the 405 freeway. If you're going northbound, it's literally right there, but if you're driving south, you'll want to make a left at the freeway exit. It shares a large parking lot with Target, but they are on opposite sides of the lot, so if you want to go to both in one trip, you'd have to walk quite a bit.Just like any Chick-fil-A you go to, there are two drive thru lanes that eventually converge into one lane. At first glance, it may appear that this Chick-fil-A is drive thru only because one of the streetside signs says "Drive Thru" by Chick-fil-A. Actually, you can still place an order at the register; you just can't go inside. Instead, you simply walk up to one of two order windows to place your order while remaining outdoors. This made me a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to redeem my free chicken sandwich reward courtesy of Angels baseball*, but luckily, Regino at the register was able to make it work.Though not the best Chick-fil-A employee I've encountered, Regino was pretty chill. He could tell I wanted the Honey Roasted BBQ when I said I wanted the sauce similar to the Chick-fil-A sauce, but in the smaller packets instead. I also asked for a cup of iced water, all to go.After placing my order, he handed me my receipt, and I noticed a menu in front of the other order window. As I was looking at that menu, another employee opened the window to take my order. I had to let him know I had already placed my order and was simply looking at the menu lol.There was an outdoor patio with plenty of tables, and there was also a sign directing me to the "tent" for ordering and pick up. I didn't see a tent anywhere, so it confused me to the point where I started to wonder if my free chicken sandwich would somehow be handed to a customer waiting in his/her vehicle. A foolish thought I know, but I wish they were more clear on where exactly to pick up an order that was placed at a window.After a few minutes, Regino came out to hand me my order, saying the signature "My pleasure" statement after I thanked him. I took the bag back to my car to enjoy the complimentary sando.I saw not one, but four packets of the Honey Roasted BBQ sauce! For one sandwich?? Sweet! lol I only needed one for the sandwich, but it was nice to have an extra three in case I can use them for a future meal later on. The chicken, while generous in size, was quite dry that I would have been livid if they had forgotten the sauce. I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed the sandwich as much had I taken it home to eat, but as a whole, I didn't hate the sandwich.The water cup used was a paper cup sans insulated sleeve even though at other locations, I usually get either a styrofoam cup or a paper cup with an insulated sleeve. Just thought it was worth mentioning.The customer in front of me went up to one of the order windows to pick up his mobile order. I don't think he realized the window on the far right was for that purpose while the other two windows were for placing an order.I don't know why, but there is an oil derrick (not to be confused with my name lol) right next to the restaurant. It's been there even before this location opened around the start of COVID.Overall, it's not a bad Chick-fil-A to go to, especially if you want to hit up Target at the same time or if you want to experience a Chick-fil-A with order windows instead. I just don't plan to return to this one unless I'm in the area for a totally different reason.* If the LA Angels score at least 7 runs in a home game, open the app after the game, but before you go to bed to score a free chicken sandwich anytime within the next 3 days!"

This is my gripe. , ; (This restaurant has lost their mind I know we have corporations raising food prices left and right but El Pollo Loco really why did you go this far chicken is not that expensive are you really that greedy. This was one of my favorite go to spots when I didn't want to cook and that tradition is done forever with this restaurant. I'm no hater but this is wrong all money isn't good money corporate greed will do in good restaurants with good names and customers loyalty behind them. I ordered a 2 piece leg and thigh meal two small sides they're pushing it calling them small sides they're tiny it's absolutely ridiculous look at the pictures I took. $9.99 for this GTFOH. BRC Was laughable it was soo tiny it fits in the palm of my hands $3.40 get outta here. I ordered two extra legs at another location because I was like there's no fn way they're small and they are extra small too. LmaoAnyway that's it buy this chicken at your own risk because it's tiny this gals going back old school and buying a whole chicken marinating that bad boy and roasting it at home. "Really great staff! The staff are very helpful and are able to recommend spicy levels for all newcomers. If it is your first time, start at a lower spicy level. I made the mistake of starting out with the Hot and greatly regretting it. Even after smothering my food with lots of honey, it won't help. After a few tries, I figured out that I can only handle up to Medium spicy level. I liked both their chicken sandwiches and mac & cheese bowls. There is great "street" chicken wall art as well. It gives the location an "urban" vibe. Parking can be a bit difficult sometimes during lunch hour since it is part of a smaller shopping center that has other popular restaurants. I would recommend to come here during non-peak hours."

Fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious. Not oily at all. Paid .99 cents for ranch (which was hidden valley). The house sauce that comes on the chicken sandwich was delicious! Recommend getting that instead of the ranch. Service was friendly and food was brought to our table. Inside was clean. They offered us free soft serve ice cream before leaving but we were so full we passed. Next time!"

"This place has been on my list for a while now even though I'm not a HUGE fan of chicken. But i definitely have days where i massively crave a good chicken sandwich or wings The parking is really easy, they have private parking close up (they also are pet friendly with outdoor seating. A few cute doggies were there) It's one of those places where you order at the register and then they bring out the food to your table I ordered their Mac and cheese, loaded waffle fries and one chicken sandwich to share with my girlfriend The lady working the register was so friendly, as soon as I saw they have frozen custard I got so excited (frozen custard is so popular back in my home state. I'm always so excited when I see it at places out here) she even made a sample with custard and some strawberry sauce on itSo after we ate i definitely had to order a frozen custard sundae with strawberry sauce, whip cream and nuts. We have a weird tradition in our family to order KFC (Korean fried chicken) during halloween and Von's is a wonderful option. Best order:- half chicken of crispy fried- half soy Just wish their radish was a little different! I like that it's in the same plaza as in n out and home goods so if I want to do some home shopping ahead and also grab in n out fries to pair, I can do so. Because it's in this huge plaza, parking is never difficult- just be prepared to fight thru people trying to get in line for the in n out though. I swear in n out lines now a days is becoming as cruel as people camping out in the olden days for Black Friday deals. Sometimes I think the line queue workers look like police enforcement or maybe my eyes just turn them into authority because In N Out guests can be aggressive in their cars!"

"This spot was recommended for the crispy rice chicken and it did not disappoint bc I love burnt crispy rice and the ginger sauce was really good. We ended up ordering 5 Togos to share with family. Our server says they specialize in bun rieu so we had to try that as well. Their bun rieu reminded me of Vietnam when I was there last year. Soup was very flavorful, better than most places I've tried. The chicken salad was good too. We also tried the mi ga roti (roasted chicken w/dry noodle). That was our least favorite dish, the sauce didn't match with the noodles and and the chicken didn't have much flavor. I thought it was better with the ginger sauce that came with the rice. The gentlemen who served us was patient and accommodating. Will def come back for more crispy rice chicken."

I have to admit, all were so flavorful, saucy, crunchy, juicy, and perfectly fried. Can't go wrong with curly fries. I could have done without the corn salads. "This is located in the food court in Tokyo Central. Dining gets packed after noon, so if you don't want to be scavenging for seating come a but earlier on weekend. Ramen was delicious! It is a light and crispy coating with the perfect not-too-strong or salty flavor. It even tastes good the next day air fried if you have leftovers. There are a ton of flavor options, and you can do a whole chicken, boneless, or regular wings. There are other food options as well- the rose ddeok-bokki is solid! I have never dined in but there is a quick and easy online ordering for pickup option. Orders do come with a small cup of radish but is an extra dollar for another cup if you need to add a little more like I typically do."

"Came here for dinner, on a Saturday evening in late February 2025 via car, with another couple. Parking was easy and free in this huge plaza. You go inside and order at the front but because it was busy, they decided to take our order outside by our table. The service was excellent - you can tell every member of the staff cared about the quality of the food that's being served. The food was very good. My partner ordered the Lang Saeb Chicken, which was exactly how it would taste if you ordered it in Thailand. The skin was still crispy. That sauce was to die for! We even asked for more of the sauce to dip everything else in. I ordered the Spicy Carbonara Topoki, which was very good. It was, in my opinion, how every carbonara should be. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly. My friends ordered the 12-piece chicken - half Gim Ballad & half Honey Luv Rap. They said they liked both. Gim ballad was so crunchy and the curry added a little extra something to the lemon pepper. They sold out of the topokki, but that must mean we just have to come back! The regular fries were soft but I like them that way. One thing missing is definitely needing rice on the menu, but that's just my preference. My partner turned me on to it; it's her absolute favorite hot chicken spot and while we have moved away from the LBC, admittedly we still stop in here whenever we are in the area for a doctor's appointment.Their chicken sandwiches are perfectly crispy and delish and their curly fries are out of this world. While it's not the healthiest of eats, there's something about Jay Bird's that just hits right especially after a challenging day. Definitely recommend!And if you're curious about the vibe: it's the LBX: one of the coolest venues (IMHO) and food halls in Long Beach, especially if you're an airplane nerd like myself. They should really explain it fully so people aren't caught off guard. I added our name to the wait list. We were 9th. I got a text saying to come on over cuz we were now 4thWe get to the restaurant and there's a crowd outside. It was drizzling and super cold. I popped inside to say I had received the text and was told to go outside. After another 10 minutes and not moving on the wait list we decided to wait in the car til we got closer. The 6:20-6:35 seating time had come and gone but we were still #4.It updated to #2 so we go back to the entrance. I hear all these parties being called inside and they're stating the group's order before seating them.I asked the host what to do since it says we're #2. THIS is when I'm finally told that we were supposed to have placed our order earlier. She already called our name. WTH?!!!! So when I initially said I got the text, why didn't she tell me that she would take my order, etc?!!!!!!So we were finally seated close to 7pm. The giant Katsu is really good. I don't understand why you have a ton of chicken and then only one tiny scoop of rice and a small portion of curry. I guess I'm supposed to order refills driving up the already $27 price tag even higher? Ok that's fine. $2 side of rice. But the really off putting dish was the corn cheese. I was soooo excited to try theirs. Can someone please explain why there's so much sugar?!! Even the server said they don't know why they have a lot of sugar. I really wanted to eat it. But w each bite it got even worse. The server took it away but didn't remove it from the bill, which is so funny to me. I asked the manager to remove it and she asked what was wrong w it. And I had to explain that I've had plenty of corn cheese in my life and none has been so overloaded w sugar like this. If I had known sugar was the main ingredient I wouldn't have ordered it. Thankfully, she took it off the bill. I'm glad I checked them out. But, we won't be returning. There are so many other better options in cerritos and without the long wait."
