If someone complains in their review that it tastes too plain or doesn't taste like gravy, ignore them... they're from California and are expecting it to also include chicken broth and maybe pieces of bacon too. "My sister & I met for a late lunch the day before 4th of July. Found ourselves checking out Country Cafe referred by friends. They close at 1:30pm. We arrived at 1:00 Thought they might turn us away. We were so wrong. They greeted us cheerfully and never rushed us to order or finish up. Top notch service all around. Sister ordered a 2 egg scramble accompanied by brown rice, bacon and sourdough toast. Homemade strawberry jam. Delish. I ordered machaka - half a plate full of tasty shredded beef scrambled with fluffy eggs. Plentiful. Delicious. Cottage cheese, sourdough toast and brewed coffee completed my meal. So much food. We both took half our meals home for dinner. The cafe is ultra-clean. A wall of philodendron plants look well-loved - healthy, hardy, lacy - allowed filtered light to enter the lovely cafe. Impressive. Country Cafe has been in business for eight years. I live blocks away. I can't believe this was my first visit. It won't be my last."

I had ordered a patty melt on sourdough bread with curly fries. The carbohydrates were satisfying.A la carte eggs scrambled, two biscuits on the bottom, chicken-fried steak on top, two sunny-side-up eggs, hashbrowns, and two delectable hot chocolates.Erika approached our table and inquired about my husband's meal. "I was promptly greeted by a smiling-faced woman as I walked into Village Cafe. As I am from out-of-town, I was looking for a different breakfast restaurant on the same street (which was recommended by Yelp) but despite driving up and down I couldn't find it. When I saw VC packed with large tables of customers, I figured it was as good a recommendation for the food!I wasn't wrong! I had the Chicken Verde Skillet (Wednesday special). The chicken was caramelized and juicy, the red and green bell peppers tender, the red onion tasty, the salsa verde savory without burning my mouth and whole avocado slices and sour cream on top complemented it perfectly! Although I am not a bread or potato fan, the fried potatoes were delicious and perfectly tender, and the rye toast was just the right amount of crispy brown. The coffee was coffee and it was hot and plentiful - flavorful when amended appropriately with the International Delight and sweetener provided. I like that the table was abundantly supplied with all the necessaries (utensils, condiments and napkins) to use at my discretion. And the ever present hum of happy patrons lasted throughout my breakfast. I can say with confidence, this is a place I will visit again if I have a chance. There's so much more goodness on the menu!"

My husband and I have been coming here for years, even after we've moved away. My husband swears by their mocha and if you're in the mood for baklava, it's to die for at The Coffee Tale. 100% recommend this place.

I was craving Taiwanese sausage and this place had it! Turns out it's only a takeout place. You order at the door and the guy inside will take your order. Their dishes come out in bento box style with rice, some type of veg (looks like it depends what entree you order) and some other small sides. Their drinks are pretty decent actually too. Overall pretty impressed and glad there's a spot here for Taiwanese food!

I love that this is a vegan cafe. It's all vegan, organic, they have gluten & soy free options. It seems like animals are allowed in here. I love the vibes is very traditional tropical vibes. It reminds me when I was back in costa rica. I love that they place traditional Mexican and bachata music. I would love to see them a bachata night. Also, the door is a pull if you also struggling with push and pull doors . There is free wifi and street parking. Some outlets. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was super attentive. They were always checking in if I needed anything. They kept refilling my water. I got the agave vanilla latte. It was sweet and creamy. They even did this cute kitten latte art when I asked them! I also got create your own dish of the garlicky green, grilled chicken, and roasted garlic aioli. It was pretty healthy and the garlic aioli was a perfect touch to it! I would recommend this place.

I'm back at Island Bodega, and let me tell you, my Dragon Bowl fix is just what I needed! It's been a minute since my last visit, and I can honestly say my body was craving this goodness.The açaí is incredibly fresh and delicious, and the vibrant flavors of the fruit were practically calling my name. Every bite is a burst of health and happiness! The atmosphere is always so inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a nourishing bowl. The staff here is impressive and friendly just to keep me feeling relaxed. If you're looking for a refreshing and energizing treat, definitely check out Island Bodega! Country Cafe is a super cozy classic American breakfast spot. I came on Tuesday around 11am and the restaurant was nearly full. The servers are attentive and check in when they can, but they can also get super busy with other diners. We ordered:Hobo omelet 10/10: Perfectly cooked omelet and the home fries are fantastic; it's like a hash brown with sliced potatoes instead. It's a large portion and it also comes with your choice of toast!Nutella crepe, banana and strawberry 9/10: Comes with two crepes and a good amount of toppings. It hit the spot, but it would've been nice if there was filling inside the crepes as well.I understand why this is a popular local spot and it's exactly what you want for a good American breakfast!

"Came here with two friends. We each got a bagel. The parking could be bad depending on the time you get there. The service is good! Everyone is friendly. However, you get a number to pick up your food and try to get a table around there. I did a BYOB and got a sesame bagel with egg white bacon and ham. The bagel was good! However, there was minimal egg white on it. They also used REAL bacon not that microwave stuff so 8/10! My friend got the sausage egg and cheese with the jalapeño bagel. She couldn't really taste the jalapeño and didn't really like the egg so she gave it a 6.5/10.My other friend got the bacon egg and cheese with a cinnamon bagel. He enjoyed it and gives it a 7/10 rating.We all got an fresh squeezed orange juice and it was delicious!! I will definitely be back again."

I got the dalgona whipped coffee and matcha latte with oat milk. The coffee was nice and strong but still creamy. The matcha was decent as well; good balance of sweet and milky. I really can't complain for the price. It's located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. Inside you'll find about 4 tables and it was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon. There is WiFi as well so you can study or get work done. I'll be sure to stop by here when I'm in the area and try their other offering such as the giant New York style cookies and sandwiches."

On a hot south bay day, there were a lot of flies in their outdoor patio so, outdoor dining was not looking good. After us, more diners came in and sat indoors and out.We sat somewhat close to their bar and TV with a soccer game on. The wait staff were super nice and attentive. They brought us bread and oils to start out. A little fly did come by that I had to shoo away w/my hand.As for the mains, it reminded me of 3 star corporate diner type places. My club sandwich was kinda tasty and I liked the shoestring fries. The Mr. chose the chicken ravioli and a tomato bisque soup. Both alright and not too impressive. Ravioli needed to be seasoned better.Ambience is chill. I liked their jazz and swing music on their playlist. Will we return here? Probably not but, hope they can make adjustments for the better."

A lot of coffee shops provide tiny little tables for the average person to find efficient. I asked the cashier to "surprise me" between the salted caramel latte or honey lavender latte. They validate parking for 2hr at the nearby structure or have 20min pickup spots out front.We placed an order pickup which was easy and ready right on time when we arrived. Amongst our group we ordered the churro latte, pumpkin cold brew, lavender matcha latte, honey oat latte, lavender lemonade, and the dragon fruit lemonade. All of the drinks were delicious and they use Kean coffee beans, which are my personal favorite. The pastries here are AMAZING, the biggest croissants I have ever seen.
