"First time at King Chang, and I can see why my Korean girlfriend loves this place. The lively ambiance, upbeat music, and attentive staff were definite highlights.Food: * Banchan: Great variety--Japchae noodles, broccoli, candied peanuts, fish jerky, salad, and bean sprouts were all solid. The kimchi, however, was pale and bland. * Couple Combo: My boyfriend and his daughter, who lived in Seoul for years and is quite picky, loved the pork belly but found the Galbi a bit too sweet. The soybean paste stew was good but not the best she's had. * Seafood Pancake: Our favorite! Packed with seafood and perfectly crispy--if you love pancakes, this is a must-order. * Spicy Octopus Rice in Hot Stone Pot: Absolutely delicious! I wished for more octopus and less rice, but it was so good I happily took leftovers home. * Buckwheat Noodles in Chilled Broth: Served mid-meal, though it felt more like a dessert. It was okay but not something I'd reorder. * Corn Cheese: Simply delicious.Overall, we had an amazing experience. There's a reason this spot is a favorite among K-pop and K-drama stars. Just a heads-up--you will leave smelling like KBBQ, so come prepared!"

"This is a nice little neighborhood place to pick up a sandwich. It has grown an appendage which is 3rd&Loma. Repainted, it has a new and bright exterior. Thankfully, we were able to get a Italian sandwich to round out the spring roll linner that was begun next door. Quite hungry. Were we to want something at this location again I think that I would try another sandwich here rather than 3rd&Loma fare. Bf pointed out that that ratio of bread to sandwich innards was perfect."

"I visited this restaurant this past weekend with my cousin as we were craving sushi. The staff were all very friendly and our food came pretty quickly. We ordered a few salmon rolls, and crispy rice roll. Everything was good except the crispy rice roll that was cold and super hard as if it had been sitting out for a while. It tasted old. Other than that I would definitely recommend. Location is nice where you can enjoy a walk on the pier after. Place was small and quaint and clean. Will go back again to try something different."

They have inexpensive bottles staring under $10 that are not only respectable, but will more than satisfy your wallet and pallet. But red wine isn't all they stock. They have a fine offering of white wines, hard alcohol, hard to find accoutrements, cheeses, and other alcohol-based odds and ends that will have you wandering the store like a kid in a candy shoppe. You will find yourself oohing and ahhing at all of the interesting and delicious goods.They also have wine samplings, tasting days and evening boat cruises where you can talk with reps and distributors while rubbing elbows with other local residents.The Bottle Shoppe has a plethora of goodies for pickiest wine snob or the average Joe who just wants a great shopping experience. Since I've stop drinking soda regularly, I've been stopping in here from time to time to try some new drinks. Loving the Calypso Lemonades...tried the tropical mango lemonade...so f'in good! I always love to see stores carry non-mainstream brands that usually put better care into making their products...I'm big on kickin' the HFCS habit with more organic drinks and juices. "This is a very tiny local liquor store. But I can see it being invaluable in a pinch . They have booze of course and some picnic items . Candies. , chips, cheese a few staples . I like the location on 62nd street on the peninsula . The thing about a place like this is that it can become a 5 star if you really need something and live close by. Say you don't want to get in your car . Or your car is being fixed this place is a rescue stop. Definitely not a 7-11 ! It reminded me of a few of the corner markets in SF. Only it's not on a corner .I missed the sign and had to ask the guy behind the counter what the name was. They do sell Lotto tickets. And I meant to buy a winner here . Next time for sure. I was satisfied as the did have my M n M peanuts."

"I have been living directly across the street from big john's for 3 years now. That being said, I have been there more times then I can count and never realized they were on yelp! The guy with the dreads is Mike. Super cool laid back dude who basically lives there. You can find almost anything you need in this little place and they're mostly reasonably priced. They are usually open by 730am and close at 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends. Everyone is really nice and helpful. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is cuz it's so small and sometimes hard to find things though the building is protected by the city so there is never a chance of expansion."

Drown you sorrows in a bottle of your choosing...okay, maybe not.This place is located near the corner of Katella and Los Alamitos Boulevard. It's in the same strip mall as the Original Fish Company, Fio Rito's, and Charo Chicken...and it's across the parking lot from the Center for Family Medicine (my li'l girl's doctor's office). Following a checkup, the family and I headed over here looking for cough drops. Unfortunately, they only had Halls (the wife wanted Ricola).Basically, this liquor store is pretty much like most of the liquor stores you've probably visited - assorted spirits, snacks, candy, over-the-counter drugs, and Lotto tickets. Though I found nothing really 'gourmet' about this place, it's actually a slight step above some liquor stores I've visited (cleaner and friendlier). I suppose since this place is in Rossmoor, they needed to put the word 'gourmet' in their name. Either way, f you're looking for some booze and/or happen to be in the area, this place is a good choice for your alcoholic/snack/sweet fixes."
