"It was 99 degrees in Long Beach today so I wiped down my counter and closed my kitchen for the day. I walked to Anna's with the perfect cold sandwich in mind. I've been inside this sweet little deli/liquor before but never tried the sandwiches so I was excited to be there. I ordered the De Rossi, it's a cold cut sandwich made to order. They have plenty of seating if you feel like dining in or outside facing Pine Ave. The sandwich was exactly what I day dreamed about and met all of my expectations. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I forgot about the heat for a few minutes and just enjoyed the moment with my dog (they have dog treats here and are dog friendly!) Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu!"
"Smash burgers are on point! The fries are fried in duck fat, which is incredibly delicious. Service is order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. All the employees that walked past made sure to check on us to see that we had everything we needed, and everyone was super friendly."

"Really good food. I tried crab, fish, ceviche and they were all good. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. Make sure to get some hand sanitizer or wash your hands after eating because they get sticky. The view is great because you can see the boats and people walking by."
"Visiting Tacburg made our day. I was apprehensive because usually when food is so visually appealing, it lacks flavor. When I bit into the Skeletor Taco, I knew that Tacburg had the visual AND flavor locked down. A rare accomplishment. The food alone was worth the drive from L.A. proper. The service was the cherry on top. John was so hospitable. We look forward to returning!"
"Very cozy hole in the wall. I've came here three times now and it's an extremely cool place just to sit and have a beer and relax. The atmosphere is welcoming, bartender gives you space or talks to you if you want. There's a juke box and a table. And the COLDEST beer I've EVER had. And Lemme tell you, I've been to a lot of bars/brewery's. They do NOT sell liquor, and have very few beers on tap, but It's totally worth stopping by and relaxing with friends."
"Great pizza run by El Segundo brewing, so good variety of beers on tap as well. Always very busy, but the pizzas come out pretty fast. Only one size - a family sized large - so if it's just one or two you'll be eating leftovers for a few days."
"I stumble upon this small family restaurant, I ordered Camarones a la Diabla and it was really good and I was able to enjoy every bite of it. Service was excellent and I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the quality of the restaurant and the quality in the food. Support local businesses."
"Take 5ive is the on site restaurant at the Navy Golf Course in Cypress. It refers to a military term to "take a break". They offer multiple bfast and lunch items like burritos, burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads.Their menu has changed in the few years I have been coming here, as has the service. Now you order at the bar, and the food is brought to you. They also offer a full bar.I ordered the tuscan kale salad w/ quinoa ($8.50 | inc bread). The salad was surprisingly large and very satisfying. I kept chomping and there was plenty of greens in my bowl. The dressing paired nicely with the ingredients: 4 Stars.Regarding the ambiance, they changed the seating in the dining area to primarily high tables for 2. I preferred the old seating where it was primarily standard tables for 4. Nonetheless, the furniture is new: 3 Stars. On the other hand, the service from the bartender/waiter was good. He was very friendly and attentive: 4 Stars. The experience here was much better vs Derricks at Black Gold. As I said before, the more low key the restaurant at a golf course (like Take 5ive), the better the food."
"Damn, that's a good burger. The fries too, next level. Location is fun, right on the beach facing Naples. I got the immortal burger with blue cheese and it exceeded my expectations. Not just blue cheese crumbles but a buttery blue cheese sauce was a delicious surprise and I will be back for this burger."
"I love Murphy's!! It's a great place to sit out in the balcony and watch people along 2nd Street or inside watching a game. To me it's a hidden gem, their sandwiches are piled with meats and cheese, plus it comes with a side salad, chips and salsa, or potato chips. It's a real bargain. My go to is the shore shuffle minus the center bread, squaw bread double toasted provolone with a side salad. The ranch dressing is so yummy. They have pickled eggs that I think beat Joe Jost's. I ask for no black pepper (my preference)Their pop corn is irresistible, once an order passes you you'll understand. Beer is cold and plenty of choices and the locals are cool, eh me being one of them.Oh it's dog friendly to boot!!"
"Came here since they were doing special drinks for the holidays. Easy finding parking. We parked in front of the building next door. They check IDs at the door and at the bar. Not a ton of holiday drinks, but we tried a couple things off the menu, one of which had a blinking light at the bottom of the glass. A lot of their usual drinks looked pretty good though. It's a divey ish space. Most tables were taken so we sat at the bar. Looked like you can bring your own food here as we saw one group having a potluck. I did like all the Christmas decor. Tons of vintage stuff too.Staff was nice. Friendly too. Good vibes!"
"The quality of fish was phenomenal. You would never believe this is AYCE. My family is always on the search for sushi, whether it is AYCE or not. This had become our favorite place that I will definitely pay Al La carte for . Not to mention service was impeccable. They were so thorough, patient and considerate of our party of 16."

I stopped in here for a late lunch after arriving in Long Beach and checking in to my AirBnB. The location is great just off of Pine, and it seems situated between the downtown buildings and close to the residential areas which makes it a perfect spot to be able to walk to and hang out. There is a patio open to the sounds of downtown or the interior which is set up kind of like a diner with counter service and a few tables. The atmosphere is different for both so it's great to be able to choose which you want to have that day. The server behind the counter was welcoming, and she gave me a paper menu to peruse. There is a QR code as well to be able to see the menu and drink offerings. There is a great variety of sandwiches and a decent variety of salads. The draft and can beer menu is extensive and has some incredible options. I chose to have a half De Rossi sandwich on sourdough and potato salad with a wit beer to drink. The sandwich was incredibly delicious! Whoever came up with the combination to put those items together did it right. I had a hard time choosing the sandwich given the other great options as well. The potato salad was creamy and had a yummy bite with good size pieces of potatoes. The wit beer was also really good.I highly recommend trying this place out for some good food and good beer. There is also a shuffleboard table and weekday events like trivia and game nights.

I am so happy that I was able to find this hidden gem by the beach! It has a very laid back, chill vibe to the place which I loved :) the staff were very nice and helpful.I ordered the PS burger and an order of chili cheese fries and they did not disappoint! The burger was very juicy and still had those crisp edges that added some extra texture. The chili cheese fries had a good portion and hit the spot! There's mostly street parking, but there's a lot of spots around so finding parking shouldn't be a problem. And then after eating here, you can take a walk to the beach! Win win lol.

The first place you should go when you want to try fresh, and yes, live sea urchin or uni. I do not understand how other seafood lovers cannot give Quality Seafood anything less than four stars. They have perhaps the largest and best selection of fresh seafood on the entire West Coast. The fish can be prepared however you like: grilled, fried, steamed or sashimi-style to be enjoyed at home or for dine-in at no extra charge. The selection of fresh, quality seafood is amazing! They have some of my favorites, including Tuna Loin, Albacore, Swordfish, Wild Salmon, Opah, Ono, Alaskan Halibut, mahi mahi, Chilean Sea Bass, Scallops, Octopus, Squid, Oysters, Lobster Tails, and whole Dungeness Crab.Feasting on a live sea urchin is a unique and fun (albeit a little weird and somewhat creepy) experience. It will move its spines 30 minutes after one is cracked open for you. The taste and texture are as unique as the experience of eating one this fresh: sweet, salty, creamy, umami flavor. They host annual crab and lobster fests, and family gathering specials in the Fall. They gut, clean, and prep a whole fish at no extra charge. Located on the Redondo International Broadway, this retail seafood market is truly a gem.

After completing a fairly rigorous hike in Hacienda Heights, we were craving hamburgers. Fortunately, Yelp led us to Tacburg, and it felt like hitting the jackpot! The combination of quality and quantity, topped with amazing presentation, made our lunch truly enjoyable. Afterwards, we strolled down the street, soaking in the charm of quirky shops and candy stores in this eclectic neighborhood.

What a cozy, warm and friendly hole in the wall with super duper bartenders like Courtney who is just the friendliest person you will ever meet. The place has a great internet jukebox, huge shuffle board table. Plenty of intimate seating. Nice selection of taps. Plenty of parking across the street. Plenty of Outdoor seating. And free food for special events and football nights like Monday, Thursday and Sunday. What's not to like? Come join us and just relax and leave all your issues outside.

Overall we liked the place. Vibe great, beer options excellent. But here are my challenges:1) pizza quality: taste was very good but the slices were very floppy. 2) ordering/seating: we were there on a very crowded night. Had to order at counter and stand and wait for seat to open. I guess that would be rare. 3) Pricing: expensive unless you order the specials. 4)Chop Salad: does not come with any meat (Chicken, salami etc costs you more)Work to be done, but like the addition to neighborhood.

"First time even though we can walk there. Went for a Friday happy hour. Great pub grub sharing plates; nachos, tacos and wings. They smoke their meats right there. The pork belly and brisket were excellent! Wine and well drinks were great-pours were generous. Service was excellent; Ashton and Skye were very attentive. Ambiance was cool. Very chill. Our kind of place! How have we missed this? We liked it so much we purchased tix to Adam Carolla comedy night on the 15th!"
"We've driven by so many times, and say we wanted to try Kikyo- finally! We stopped and so glad that we did!Very fresh sushi, excellent service, even though they were super busy! And they had the games on! Although we were only in for a quick bite, they were extremely busy! And service was on par! Everyone was getting their food on time, especially us. And we enjoyed every bite that we had.We will definitely be back when my mom is in town. She will definitely enjoy the miso soup. There was one thing we were disappointed with is that if you see any pictures in the menu that have Bento boxes they do not have these at dinner time. (I believe this is a lunchtime thing.)"
"Farolito of Fullerton is a small Mexican restaurant in downtown Fullerton. It may be a little hard to find because the entrance is located in an indoor hallway. Once you find it, you will find that this place is a true gem! This restaurant's interior is nothing fancy, has about 10-15 tables or so. However, it is the service and delicious food that had us coming back! The items I recommend getting are the enchiladas, tropical salad, tostada salad, and the Mexican pizzas! They also have food specials throughout the week! They also have a full bar with draft beers. Come check out this place if you're in the mood for Mexican food and drinks, you won't be disappointed!"
"Delicious food. The staff are so friendly. If you are looking for a quite place with excellent wagyu beef, this is a nice optionRecommended"
"Their pizzas here are really good. No complaints other than the parking. My family and I have been trying to find a good pizza joint other than Pizza Hut and Papa John's lol. I believe they only sell 18" pizzas and it's a good size for me and my family."
"I've come here a couple times now and always get the same experience - good energy and nice staff . I've ordered from the same young guy and he's always been helpful and has a warm personality giving me advice on which beer tastes the least like beer for my tastes lol all the folks just hang out , play pool, and listen to music together it feels like they're having a nice reunion and catching up . Haven't tried the food yet but I'll consider for next time ."
"Ruin Bar is located at The Lab in Costa Mesa next to Habana. The entrance is directly to the left of the main entrance at Habana but because it all kind of looks the same, you might miss it like we did. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but there isn't much throughout and might be standing room only if it gets really busy. We ordered the espresso martini ($19) and the paloma ($17). The espresso martini was very cold (a positive) and was really good! The paloma was also refreshing and the sparking grapefruit soda really accentuated the grapefruit flavors in the drink. We ordered at the counter and they made our drinks while we waited. When we went there was only one person making all the cocktails which was very impressive given there was a long line and we didn't wait too long for ours."
"The entrance is in the back and the front. This confused me lol From the parking lot you can walk right up without having to walk around to the front of the building. I went in through the back and wound up sitting at the bar. This restaurant isn't very big and does get noisy. Service was good. The servers do a good job of tending to customers, even when it gets busy. I came here for the food to be honest lol I didn't drink any alcohol. I ordered the pesto pasta and the apple salad. The pesto pasta was underwhelming. The sauce was too watery. But the dish did have good flavor. I loved the apple salad! It was fresh and tasty."
"Love ordering takeout from Legend Chicken. My go-to is either a order of drumsticks or half a chicken. The chicken is super crispy and crunchy and their sauces they coat the chicken in take it to the next level.I've also eaten inside and the service was great when I did! Cool spot to just kick it with friends and eat/drink."
"Food was delicious. Thin Pizza, Knox garlic bread, make it bigger size please, chicken wings are delicious. We went back the 2nd time and we will be returning for sure! Thanks again"
"Great place! Food and drinks were amazing! We ordered appetizers and a round of both red and white sangrias and neither disappointed. There is a parking structure directly across the street that is free but parking spaces are fairly narrow. Otherwise, you will need to find street parking nearby."
"This is the perfect place for any metal head, horror lover , or anyone who likes something a little different. I absolutely loved the ambiance of the location it was right up my alley . This spot had been on my bookmarks for a while and I finally got to try it out. It did not disappoint, I went simple and ordered the slasher pizza & I added buffalo drizzle on top which made the pizza that much tastier. I would definitely come back I enjoyed it and we got there at a good time that it wasn't too packed but I can imagine later at night it gets busier. ( Street Parking )"
"This is a gem of the Southbay. The service and food was 10/10. Usually stick to going to Koreatown for late night eats but glad we ended up here. We ordered army soup and spicy fried chicken. It came out hot w the bonchon on the side. I forgot to mention when we walked in, I believe the owner was there to greet us w hugs and fists bumps hahaha, he even talked w us during our meal. Did not expect that but very welcoming. The staff, food, ambiance made it a great experience. Can't wait to go back w a large group to have soju and further explore the menu! Great for large groups or date. They have outside patio seating with heaters, open late. Can't get better than that."
"Cool dive bar. Watched games here when I visit my cousin. Staff is super chillTypically I watch football and baseball bit I've seen soccer and other events posted."
"Beer, wine, cheese and sandwiches.... So many reasons to love coming here! The workers are so helpful and friendly here and always have good recommendations. Choosing a bottle of a little something delicious and pairing it with a beautiful charcuterie and cheese board... just heaven."
"CGK never disappoints. They take such pride in crafting a unique and tasty menu. I love that it's a local gem; not only do they nail brunch, but their dinners are exceptional as well. The chef's creativity shines through with seasonal menu updates, which keeps things exciting. One of my favorite things is having a local spot where I can enjoy oysters that are consistently fresh and delicious. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable, too, offering great insights into the flavor profiles of the oysters and even suggesting beer pairings.I appreciate having my go to dishes, but the rotating menu always gives me something new to try, so it never feels repetitive. It's definitely one of my favorite places to frequent"
"WOW, WOW, WOW! Our first experience but won't be our last. I received an email from Mandala that they were extending their dineLA menu/offer through the final weekend, so we decided to give it a try. Décor and ambiance are casual to upscale cool. Parking is on street, however there's a small lot across the street at the US Bank building, that we used in the evening, after the bank closed.SERVICE: Mauricio waited on us, and the service couldn't have been better. The entire wait staff worked as a team and made us feel like we were the only ones there. The kitchen staff even checked on us to see how we were enjoying the food. Meal courses were timed out perfectly.FOOD: We started with a shared dish of their Esquite (Mexican Street Corn) with corn milk, basil, and a Cascabel salsa ($14), creamy and delicious. The dineLA menu offered four courses with a selection of two items for each course, so we tried and shared all eight items. The food was absolutely amazing, fantastic flavors and beautiful presentations. The dineLA portions were so large, they could have easily been shared by two average appetite eaters. In addition, my mother-in-law ordered two of the Anticuchos (Yakitori) skewers, a Beef Tongue ($12) with sesame sauce, and a Chicken Adobo ($12). Again, the flavors were sensational.TIP: Ask one of the staff about their speakeasy, Kuduowl, located upstairs with access from the restaurant through a secret doorway...very fun.We were so impressed with Mandala Bar that we can't wait for our next adventure. I highly recommend."
"Wonderful ambiance and fun speakeasy in the Costa Mesa area. When we arrived, we were ecstatically greeted by a host who made sure to give us the entire run down about the menu, service, and photo ops. We had just come from another "speakeasy" nearby but it was extremely crowded and went to Cowboys and Poodles on a whim. Boy were we impressed! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our drinks (menu has a great mocktail selection fyi) and stayed until it got a bit too crowded. Be sure to come before 9:30pm or else it gets busy--fast! By the time we left around 11:30pm on a Friday night, there was quite a bit of a line through the door. There's only a small parking lot so you may have to park on the street (where there's more spots) but it shouldn't be too difficult to do so."
"My husband and I love this place. We usually end up here on Friday nights. The happy hour is amazingly priced and the rolls are ALL amazing! We have not had anything we didn't love. The music is also always amazing and the staff are so friendly and hospitable. This is by far our favorite sushi spot and can't wait till next time!"
"After coming here the first time on Valentine's Day, we decided to stop by again for a quick dinner. We came around 5, so their happy hour was still in effect from 4:30 (opening) to 6. We ordered the calamari and cheesy garlic bread. The calamari was really good, but I was the bread had a stronger garlic taste since it was lacking it a lot.The pasta was yummy, so no complaints there!"
"Amazing pop up dining experience. They run about once a month. We were lucky enough to come on a night that paid homage to their restaurant opening menu. Wine pairings were spot on. It was lovely getting to know about the locally sourced ingredients as well as how the wines we tried tonight were made and procured. Highly recommended if you can get in. It only seats 35 so it will be a great intimate experience. Besides the food, my favorite part was their attention to detail. Servers crumb the table top after the bread starter. Our dishes were warmed for the hot foods and chilled for the salad. Truly a fine dining experience."
"Wanted shabu for dinner on a cold night. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place. It's located close to the camp in Costa Mesa in a small shopping center. Most of the businesses in the shopping center were closed at this time so we almost missed it at first. It was very busy on a Saturday night. We joined the Yelp waitlist from home and still had to wait after we arrived and even for a while after our expected seating window. I would recommend getting on Yelp waitlist as soon as possible during busy hours or checking the wait in advance.Once seated everything else was very quick. Orders were started immediately. I believe the manager or owner was assisting us, but I am not sure (I didn't catch his name). He was super friendly and took the time to explain things and made recommendations. It seemed like he knew many of the customers and took the time to greet and speak with many people eating. I really appreciated that he took the time to greet so many people and also explain things to us. We both got 1/2 spicy miso and 1/2 tonkotsu broth with our proteins of choice. The broth was flavorful and had a little kick, but was not overly spicy - I would order it the same way again. The dipping sauces were both delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics! Overall, it was perfect for what we were craving and we enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to returning in the future!"
"Great spot to watch sports and have beers. lots of TVs and they usually have a seat. You can make a reservation though. Could have a little better beer selection, but it's ok"
