"The Family and I had lunch yesterday at Telefèric Barcelona. We arrived around 12;30 without a reservation. The restaurant was buzzing but I wasn't surprised. The weather was beautiful after three days of rain and people were out and about. We have been to tapas restaurants before and it is one of our favorite kinds of food and dining experiences. The concept of sharing a dish or small bites isn't foreign to us. Although, I have to say that Telefèric Barcelona is probably the closest the Family and I will get to Barcelona for now. The footprint of the restaurant is pretty small and beautifully decorated. It is a comfortable unpretentious environment. The menu is just as comforting and unpretentious. It was hard to choose what to eat. So many things on the menu had my imagination soaring. While we were trying to decide on what to order, our server, Biel arrived. He asked if we had been to Telefèric Barcelona. For the Mrs. it was the second time. The Mrs. and I started off with two Margaritas. They were really good and the bartender made them from scratch. No mix! We then moved on to the food. Starting with Crab Croquetas which were topped with tuna sashimi and spicy aioli. Next were the Empanadas stuffed with roasted chicken and served with spicy aioli. The presentation was innovative and the flavor and texture were incredible. I would describe the Empanadas as more of a fried ravioli in their appearance. We then moved on to a Paella Bomb which Paella arancino(rice) filled with shrimp bisque that you inject into the dish yourself. Being able to inject the bisque was a fun way to engage with the dish. The Mrs. and I shared the Prime Wellington from the Platos menu. Telefèric Barcelona's take on Beef Wellington keeps the tradition of the dish but with better flavors in my view. Braised short ribs wrapped Ibérico ham and encased in a flaky puff pastry roll, served with Spanish-style potatoes. The Wellington was delivered and injected by the food runner with a large metal syringe that held the beef demi glacé. We loved it! I have to say that you CANNOT dine at Telefèric Barcelona without having the Wellington. My daughter ordered the Gambellini which were the most delicate ravioli I've ever tasted. They were stuffed with shrimp and bacon. The sauce that accompanied the ravioli was so light and rich. For dessert we shared the Trío selection of Telefèric's most popular desserts: churros, torrija and "Flan & Coffee". Ice cream was included to add to the richness of each dessert. The "Flan & Coffee" were my favorite. The pace of our meal was perfect. We didn't feel rushed at all which I know is a concept in the Spanish dining experience that many Americans don't embrace in their gastronomical lives. It was also great to hear Castilian Spanish being spoken. The service we received from Biel and the rest of the staff we interacted with was great. I look forward to returning to Telefèric Barcelona."
"Palapa Restaurant, is located at 2nd & PCH Center, on the second floor. Palapa is an extention of their sister restaurant Ola Mexican Kitchen.Palapa, has an island-themed Tiki bar it has a wrapped around bar with sitting ares. The outdoor dining has an amazing views of the Los Alamitos Marina, the boats and the ocean are just perfect. We came here to celebrate my birthday. They have complimentary tortillas chips. The tortilla chips are seasoned - springle with Tejin lemon flavored and salt. We selected dine at Palapa because of their outdoor dining because we brough our dog and we can only dine outside. The ambience is casual- contemporary with large beautiful outdoor lamps and an area with outdoor fire pit.We ordered the red beet & watermelon salad, fresh guacamole for the tortilla chips, 2 tacos. My daughter ordeted their chicken soup it comes with 2 rolled taquitos, hold down I had a strawberry -Jalapeno Margarita so refreshing so delicious and (Expensive)Keep in mind when ordering any meals it all coming from Ola Restaurant because Jalapa does not have their own kitchen. It may take longer to get the order Ps please don't blame the server. Service was on point he was attentive and friendly. He offered to-go boxes because honesty our eyes were bigger than our appetite.Parking2nd & PCH has a parking structure the first 90 minutes are free. Pay for parking with credit cards at the pay stations or exit gates. No Cash or Apple pay.If you are in the area and like an awesome marina vies, an awesome Margarita and of course awesome food. "We went here for my moms birthday! It was simple tomake a reservation online and you can put any special requests or messages and I put we were celebrating a birthday and everyone greeted my mom when we got there which was great. Our server was also super helpful with suggestions of the menu. They give complimentary sourdough bread w butter which was delicious. We started off with calamari which was crispy and yummy. I got the salmon which was paired with gnocchi and corn SO GOOD! The salmon piece itself was big enough where I could take it for leftovers. We didn't ask but they ended up giving us a little cake w ice cream and a candle for my mom's birthday which was super sweet."
"the venue is pretty tiny..the room is kinda stuffy...i know its an old place but the ground seems kinda unsteady too...bathrooms are single stall...i came to see an indie's band play #Kid Cadaver which they made a great performance. a lot of these new indies with such great talent...parking next door for 7 bucks. on sunset strip so its always traffic.."
"Came in to try their Guac Ceviche, absolute fire! It's a cute corner restaurant in HP that has lots of Mexican culture within it. Service was also amazing! I'll be back on Friday nights to checkout the Mariachi vibes, can't wait!"
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"Formerly Sisters' Barn. They have an array of craft beers, canned available for purchase to enjoy there or take home! And a few on tap. They also serve authentic Indian food alongside their regular menu. More parking in the back if you don't want to park on the street/PCH. They have live music!"
"My wife and I have been coming to this location since it opened. Always good friendly neighborhood service, tasty food, and a fun night out. When it comes to sleeper locations, this is a neighborhood gem, and one of my favorite spots in the South Bay. You will find it tucked away by Petco. The food rocks, it's an interesting fusion of Mexican and something, not sure what that something is, they just do everything with a flair. They have several items that are not Mexican, so don't stereotype the place as Mexican because it's not necessarily. My 'go to' item is the Turkey Jalapeno Enchiladas. One with salsa raja (red sauce), one with tomatillo sauce (green sauce). Served with black beans, red rice, sour cream and pico de gallo. If you like to drink, they have a deep tequila list, some really good stuff. If you want to go traditional, they make the best margarita I've had in the South Bay (sorry Pancho's!). The drinks compliment the salsa (way~good) and fresh chips. My kids think the green and red chips, which are few and far between, are lucky chips. The atmosphere can be loud because they really pack people into the venue. That said, it's a good place for kids. The wait staff is all really friendly, and they know what they are talking about (food and drinks). The name, "Coyote Cantina" is a bit overdone with the art sculptures throughout the restaurant. Personally, I think it brings character. On my recent visit I was running late and "Birdy" was great about holding my table. Our server was Skyla who has server us a few times, another friendly personality. If you are a sports person, they have a few televisions near the bar (on mute) so you can always get caught up on scores. The televisions are not positioned so that they visually interfere with dinner.I love this place, do yourself a favor and visit, the price is above average but worth it."
"I don't visit the The Wayfarer often, but when I do I always have a good time. The food is worth a visit in its own right. The pulled pork sliders, for instance, are a thing of beauty. I've never had better pulled pork anywhere and heaven knows I've eaten my share of it over the years. The service is friendly and on the ball every time. Ambience wise, it's a roomy, comfortable place with lots of places to sit. I like to sit at the bar, but that's personal preference. Booze wise its full bar with a nice selection of craft beers. The place attracts some really good bands, including some that tour nationally. Last night, we saw Jerry Joseph. He was great. The Wayfarer is a good place worthy of your attention.Cheers!"
"Came here on a Friday night with some friends for dinner and drinks. I was shocked that at 8:30pm this place was so mellow because it's actually a really yummy and cute spot! It was tiki weekend which was really neat because they had all of these delicious tiki themed drinks! I ended up ordering the Mac n cheese because I had been recommended it before and tried one of the tiki themed drinks. Our server was so sweet she was dressed for the tiki theme too with seashells in her hair and necklace! She was on top of checking in on us and making sure we all were full on drinks and food. 10/10 will be back. This would be a really cute date spot too!!"
"I love Cha Cha's! We come here every so often and I pretty much always get the same thing - short ribs. They are so tender and flavorful. They have a bit of a kick to them. It's a good portion size too. Highly recommend.Another dish I really like is the three seafood enchiladas. I think it comes with crab, shrimp and one other thing (can't remember off the top of my head!). It's so good that I tried to recreate it at home but couldn't live up to Cha Cha's version. They have nice cocktails here too and a variety of seating options. There's indoor, patio and bar seating and they have heat lamps for when it's cold. It's a great mid- to nice-level Mexican/Latin restaurant and it's one of our regular rotations!"
"Food was okay to me! It was my first time trying it and I got the pasta which I feel like could have had more flavor. I've never had Brussels sprouts but these were good! The bread was also yummy, it isn't complimentary unfortunately so if you want to purchase it go ahead! Overall I'd give a 7.5/10 I've had better pasta and better bread. But it's all preferences I'm sure many people love this place!"

One of my friends recommended eating here for a celebration, and I am sooo glad she did. I hadn't heard of it before and had no idea what to expect. We arrived during the late afternoon, so the sun was setting and this place looked gorgeous on the outside and the inside. The furniture was beautiful as well, and it set the mood for what was to come. Service was good, but there were moments they were trying to take our food too early. After that, they stopped taking the plates out or stopping by our table, and we were desperate for water. Luckily, the food was absolutely amazing so I still will give it 5 stars. I just wish the dishes were bigger, but they are tapas. What we ordered:Crab Croquetas: this was so goooood! It was the perfect amount of crunchy and creamy.Patatas Bravas: the flavor on this was also amazing. There's cream with a tomato-ish sauce.Empanadas: the empanadas reminded me more of fried wontons with a different flavor to it. I liked this with the sauce, but would probably skip this and order something else next time. Prime Wellington: the mix of the puff pastry, sauce, and short ribs was perfect. The potatoes that it comes with were also delicious!! It was so crispy and light. Paella Mixta: this was definitely the star of the show. I haven't had a good paella in a while, and I loved how crispy the rice was in the pan. We devoured all the dishes, but especially this one. Soooo good. I can't wait to go back and try new things (and get some of the dishes we already had)!

This is an extension of Ola Mexican Restaurant. It's a fun outdoor space with a central bar area. We were here for the Happy Hour that goes until 6pm. The Chicken Quesadilla, the Chicken Taquitos, the Beef Flautas and the Guacamole were great. The Spanish Mai Tai was excellent, with a nice golden color.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Parker's Lighthouse as my brother was craving oysters, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Micaela, was exceptional -- attentive but never overbearing, providing just the right amount of attention throughout the evening. She was friendly, kind, and patient while giving excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes, adding a personal touch that made our dinner even more memorable. The food was outstanding. We started with brussel sprouts and one dozen oysters. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and well balanced in a honey citrus sauce. The oysters were fresh, clean, and briny. Whether enjoying them raw or with a little extra garnish, they truly stood out.We followed by a seafood grill that was fresh and expertly prepared. The sashimi was impeccable -- the fish was incredibly fresh, and each bite was a delight. Hats off to Chef Luna and the entire kitchen team for their skillful presentation and remarkable flavors. As dessert lovers, we order 2 desserts; the crème brûlée and cheesecake. Both were absolutely divine-- the crème brûlée had the perfect balance of rich custard and a crisp caramelized top, while the cheesecake was velvety and decadent. To pair with dessert, Micaela recommended a wine and espresso martinis, which complemented the flavors beautifully. What truly stood out was the overall experience. My brother and I don't get much quality time as we live far away from each other; the atmosphere, impeccable service, and food made our evening wholesome. We enjoyed catching up and lost track of time that we stayed for about four hours enjoying a great meal with cocktails. In addition, at the end of dinner we decided to have another glass of wine, however I was craving bread with butter (we didn't see this on the menu) to pair with our last drink. Upon asking, Micaela said they do offer them and brought us a fresh batch of warm sourdough rolls and honey whipped butter. This was our first visit, and it definitely exceeded all expectations. We are already looking forward to returning with our parents as they are seafood lovers too. Thank you to Micaela, Chef Luna, and the entire Parker's Lighthouse team for making this an outstanding dining experience!

On the Rox is on top of the Roxy. I remember years ago hanging in this general area and hanging at Rainbow with my rock boys. How did I never know On the Rox was here? You go up a flight of stairs. Some $5 beer specials and some other drink specials. They need better ventilation in there but every old school venue is like that in LA so oh well. Good performance from Slant and Koom the Ripper!!!!! Definitely a good time and a very chill venue. No cover. Bar. Performances. Booths. Very chill. What more do you want? :D

I recently visited Palmillo in Newport and had an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is breathtaking, with its beautiful design, stunning architecture, and abundant natural light flooding the space.A special shoutout to Louie, who was both professional and personable, making my time there even more enjoyable. The highlight of the lunch was the watermelon mojito, which was a delightful mix of lime and watermelon flavors--absolutely refreshing! For my main course, I chose the turf and surf enchiladas, and they were nothing short of amazing. The seasonings and sauces were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. I would certainly order the same dish again on my next visit. What I didn't like was the chips. They smell and tasted stale and I'm not sure if it's the chip or the oil that fried them. I encourage the staff to double check to make sure the chips are always fresh.Overall, Palmillo offers a wonderful dining experience with its excellent service, delicious drinks, and mouth-watering dishes. Highly recommended!---

First of all the ambiance is super tidy and they maintain it really nice. There was a comedy night going on when I visited which is hilarious to enjoy with family and friends. Sometimes they do live music night too just ask them before coming. Ordered Chicken 007 and it is super flavorful. Even thought I don't drink much, they have a wide range of beers and wines to try it on. Service is great, food is great, the place and people are super nice. I would definitely recommend this place if you looking to social and have fun.

Never been here although I pass by all the time. Since our group wanted to meet before a concert, we mutually agreed to meet here. The ambiance is casual, local folks and service is friendly but check your bill as there was a mixup with incorrect billing from another table. My buddy and I shared the taquitos which were decent. I'm confused because the menu stated 5 pieces but looks like a double order? The food here is more Mexican-American but still pretty good. The Cadillac Marg was great. Lots of parking in this mini strip mall.

"It was the day after Christmas and we were wiped out from the night prior of festivities. We were ready for a chill day with zero cooking and chores. We were seated in a booth, which I love. Super cozy.Lasagna sounded really good about now. And our brain was definitely hankering for comfort food. We started with soup. Minestrone for him. And I had the Onion soup - and it was quite a meal - with a hunk of bread and melted cheese. Husband and I shared: the Lasagna - layers of pasta, ground beef, Italian sausage, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic and spices with meat sauce. served right out of the oven on in a casserole dish, best way as it retains its heat throughout of meal.Cauliflower fritti - fried florette served on a bed of romaine lettuce and with garlic aioli (we love a good veggie dish!)The bread basket tells a lot about the restaurant. The basket was filled with herb focaccia, not just a boring white bread! I had a glass of Sangiovese, Caparzo, husband chose the house Chianti. What a pairing!Service was nice and friendly. Our server constantly checked on us. For sure, we will come back so we can try the other dishes too! Buon appetito!* There is also a small bar towards the back and seatings available for those who prefer this."
"Review:This Korean BBQ spot is amazing! The meat is incredibly fresh, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The selection is fantastic, with plenty of options to satisfy everyone at the table. The grilling experience is fun and interactive, making it a great place to enjoy with friends or family. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring you always have what you need. If you're looking for delicious food and a memorable dining experience, this is the place to go!"
"Of course I was gonna like this place I'm obsessed with the 80s and karaoke. I'm surprised it took me so long to get here. $10 cover charge. Initially the dance floor was empty, but there's a room to the right for karaoke . It was definitely packed . Just happened to have Three available seats for my friends and I. We sat down to watch the show. Very cool 80s karaoke going on ! QR code for the karaoke book. Thank Goodness, they had my songs . Huge big fishbowl drinks dangerous ! After a couple karaoke songs you can hear the next room popping off. We went next-door to the Billy Idol cover band who was a very talented look alike ! It was also his birthday. Great stage presence and nailed all my favorite songs. I love Billy Idol. It is an 80s club so there's gonna be older people which I loved, and made me feel good ! There was cool young kats as well . Everybody was so friendly I'm definitely coming back! Five stars #80s #CoverBands#Karaoke"
"Went to Carolina's on a Friday night (9pm) after getting their menu in the mail. From the outside it looked very unassuming but the inside is very warm and inviting! When we arrived there weren't too many folks but people steadily came in throughout our meal. Between two people we got: Carolina's Sampler (mozzarella sticks, wings, fried zucchini and calamari): everything was perfectly crispy and fried. Great app to start!-Cheese Tortellini: LOVED IT and big fan of the mushroom sauce -Pepperoni calzone: very cheese, bf loved it. It's very big so come hungry or ready to share!-Orange Italian cream soda: amazing. Going to have to try all the flavors now!Let me tell you, the portions were HUGE. We had enough leftovers for at least two additional meals. Great place to come if you're hungry or feeding a big group! The entire staff were attentive and friendly. They have late night hours on the weekend so were definitely adding this to our restaurant rotation :)"
"The food was so amazing! We haven't been here in a while because the quality of the food was not great. They've made some amazing improvements! We went for a brunch and both had the steak and potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was amazing, and it wasn't overwhelming. Next time I'll ask for an additional side of the hollandaise. The potatoes were beautifully seasoned with lots of spices. I cleaned my plate, it was so good!! We'll be coming back more often. Our waiter was so busy but regardless, attentive. Enjoyed that lots of natural light came in from the windows.Again the food was so good! We bought the back a round of beers."
"Friendly staff and decent food, my friends and I tried the sushi burrito, zucchini sticks (skippable for me), sweet potato tots (just ok too) on the side, some bacon, waffles with fresh fruits (good if you want something sweet), overall it was an ok experience, we had to keep waving around to get the flies to go away which was a bit annoying. They're also pretty busy so expect some wait time."
"This place was a better listener than I was a communicater, waiter set drinks down as requested, but I misspoke when I said we will have two more when she's done... just not two more of these. He was great, but one of those boozy cocktails was enough. Edit: we drank the other two cocktails and they were fabulous, you can see from the picture served Neat and Strong.Food here is awesome, we ubered to the circle specifically to have drinks and eat at Bosscat, did not disappoint!"
"I am quite fond of this venue to see some music acts. Its a pretty small intimate space ( I believe the capacity is 600). It's not super crowded, you can get table service if you want but usually those tables aren't fully booked, so if you want you can actually sit down on the right hand side and use those tables (especially later in the night). There's 2 bars but the front bar has front and back sides so I guess its like 3 bars. there's 2 bathrooms one in front and one in the back and there's a smoking area if you want to smoke or get some smoky fresh air if its getting too hot in there for you. The security there is pretty chill, didnt' get any of that cattle call nonsense with flashlights telling you to move along and no crazy pat downs or whatever just walk through a metal detector. The sound is pretty good without being overwhelmingly loud, there's really not bad spots because the club is so small, its only one big dance floor with tables to the right hand side of the club. I really like their moving lantern ceiling thing, that thing is a vibe to itself. Although occasionally whoever is doing the lighting leaves the crowd in the dark for long stretches of time, but i'm sure its because they were forgetful or something. Its right off of Hollywood Blvd and La Palma, so if you dont want to wait for the crunch of cars on La Palma just walk down a bit and it'll be easier to catch ride share out.I'm a fan, will definitely be back."
"Went here for Taco Tuesday specials which are from 4pm until closing time and have tacos for $3 to $4.50. Good spot upstairs with views of the ocean and boardwalk, located across the PCH from the HB pier. There's also an elevator for accessibility directly into the restaurant. They allow dogs and you can even order a dish of cooked meat and kibble for small or large breeds. Summertime is busy and wait time can vary between 15 minutes to an hour on Tuesday nights. HB boardwalk also has their Surf City Nights, where they close down 3 blocks of Main Street (the downtown/boardwalk/pier) to host a community street fair and farmers market filled with local artisans, fresh produce, and live music performances. It's a lively night out with family and friends. Now onto the food at Fred's. My family ordered a smattering of tacos and the chicken taco salad ($19) with a side of rice and beans ($6). All tacos were decent sized ($3.50 to $6 for Taco Tuesday), mostly served on flour tortillas, and larger than your street tacos. It's definitely Americanized Calimex food, but hey you're more than likely here for the atmosphere. I also had the mango magarita and the cadillac margarita (with Grand Marnier). Both were good but pricey at $16+ each. Beers range from $6.50 up. Regular prices for their food is comparable to what you'd pay for casual beachside venues. The draw again is of course location, vibes, and view. And also the 80s music videos playing on their multiple LCD screens around the bar."
"Here's the low down on Happy Hour which runs until 6:30pmEXCELLENT- House Margarita (high quality; only $1 to make it a large- Birria Taco (packed full of flavor; big: amazing value too)- Chicken Wings (honey BBQ; nicely breaded)GREAT- GuacamoleGOOD- Wings (Habanero)- Queso Fundido (with Chorizo)- Quesadilla Parilla (hit or miss depending on day)AVERAGE- Wings (Buffalo)MEH- Beef Taquitos (flavorless stew meat; better get Birria)- Potato Taquitos (flavorless; helped by Tapatio)BONUS- side of corn cake- extra bean cheese dip for the chips"
"It's been quite some time since I found myself in this area of SoCal, and with Hubbers' sister and BIL coming through for a day visit, he thought it a good idea to come through. This place was our first stop. Immediately, I loved the immediate vibe: it was chill, relaxing, all kinds of peeps young and old here to enjoy a watching a few games on tv and the live music. I guess it's safe to say we were off to a good start! We found seating immediately and were handed water, chips and salsa, and menus immediately. Hubbers and I haven't had anything to eat, but since he's been here before, he recommended the Hawaiian tiger shrimp to start. And a Bloody Mary to pair it with! HAWAIIAN TIGER SHRIMP: This was AM.A.ZING!!! The broth was packed with flavor and dipping the bread in it was even a better bite. They were also generous with the shrimp which added flavor and texture. Recommending! GUAC AND CHIPS (not pictured): Eh, they were alright. Nothing to praise or call home about, but both chips and dip are made and served fresh. I felt it was lacking a teenee bit of seasoning. It wasn't bad at all but I felt like it has potential. MEAT LOVER's PIZZA: Hate to say it but it was completely disappointing. Looked great, but that's as far as it went. There was nothing fresh about this pie. It tasted frozen - like frozen for a long time and tossed in the oven for a bit. The crust didn't even rise: it was completely solid (see attached picture.) A complete waste of $16.99. It's a good thing it was the last thing we ordered, because after having it, I didn't want to drink or eat anything anymore (other than water.) That's how turned off I got. FOOD: 3.5. The shrimp is the ultimate saver here. SERVICE: 4. Our server and crew were pretty attentive and mindful about taking away stuff from our table we no longer needed. VALUE: 3. PARKING: Metered street, metered structure. Fees are not bad at all at about $2/hr. OVERALL: 3.5. Hubbers noticed I was struggling with the my drink (the pizza really left a bad taste - literally and figuratively) and since we were on the last leg of the stop, he decided we bounce somewhere else. Lesson to learn here kids: don't get the pizza! Otherwise, we had a great time. I'd definitely come back, just not for the pie..."
"We had family visiting and were staying at the Long Beach Holiday Inn, so we decided to dine at the restaurant on the top floor, which offers great city views. It was definitely crowded on a Wednesday evening, but we were seated promptly. Our group of 20 appreciated the separate checks, and it's worth noting that the restaurant is cashless, accepting only credit cards. The bar area had TVs, which was a nice touch for those interested in catching up on sports or news. I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce with onion rings, and both were good--the onion rings were nice and crispy. My cousin had the Sarasota Shrimp Scampi, while other family members enjoyed dishes like Spaghetti Primavera, Linguine Alla Scampi, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Piccata. Everyone enjoyed their meals.Service was good, and the combination of city views (forgot to take a picture) and delicious food made for a pleasant experience. I will definitely return."
"Came here for a girls night out. We went there in hopes to run into some housewives but no luck. Our waitress, Tiffany, was great too. She took our drink orders quickly and even recommended some drinks to the girls in our party. She even took our orders after we got enjoy our drinks. They do not disappoint with their alcoholic beverages. I ordered a Paloma and most places water the drink down...not this place. I had to ask for extra juice to mask all the tequila in the drink. But it was yummy! Our group ended up ordering the QW salad which is like your very own salad bar. They basically give you a bowl with your greens and the dressing to your choice/liking and put all the toppings (broccoli, bacon, mushrooms, carrots, bean sprouts, croutons, and chickpeas) on a Lazy Susan. All the topping were very fresh and the croutons were seasoned really well. They were not too hard, just right. For my entree, I ordered the Short Rib Pappardelle. First off, the short rib was so tender and flavorful. The pasta (pappardelle) was cooked perfectly, not soggy and more on the al dente side. The carrots were on the harder side and I wasn't much of a fan but the food was still great. If you are looking for a cool night out with friends or a date night, I definitely recommend this place. They do have a band who plays during weekends but make sure to get there early because it does get packed."
"I was actually quite impressed with Maderas.I came here with some friends for lunch to celebrate two birthdays on a Saturday. We didn't have reservations and arrived around 1pm and there was no wait. It wasn't super busy either and we got seated right away. Maderas is known for their steaks and BBQ, but they have other items on there as well. They had pastas, salads, and seafoods items. For lunch they also had burgers, sandwiches, and some Mexican food. We were given complementary breads and butter to start. For appetizers, we shared the onion brick and Caesar salad. OMG, I am a big onion rings fan and their onion brick was one of the best I have had. It came with a side of BBQ sauce to dip and it was absolutely delicious. Yum! For lunch, I shared the ginormous Tomahawk steak ($125/40-42 oz), which came with two sides. We shared the sweet potato fries and grilled veggies. The Tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. It was very flavorful and we even had plenty of left overs. It's definitely a treat if you are looking for a good steak. We also ordered some chilaquiles for the table. You get the option of red or green sauce, which meats in it, and how you want your eggs cooked on top. We got the green sauce and it was one of the best chilaquiles I have had. Definitely was flavorful and came with some refried back beans and dirty rice. My only complaint was that it wasn't a larger dish. Since it was our friends birthday they were given some cheese cake. It was also really good and enjoyable. The pricing here was pretty standard for a steakhouse. We paid a little over $400 for the 4 of us and we left satisfied with some leftovers. The staff here was awesome. Our waitress went above and beyond. She was super knowledgable and helpful. She also made sure to be attentive. The food came out fast and we were all pretty happy. The inside of this place has a bit of a diners feeling but a tad more upscale. Maderas is great for lunch or dinner and I cannot wait to come back."
"This place was chef's kiss .I had my shares of Italian food and trying to find a really good Italian restaurant that serve good quality Italian food is pretty hard to find but I'm so happy that I found this place .I came here the other night to have dinner with my friends and we loved it the food was spectacular and the service was top notch! Always checking up on our table making sure we were really taken care of. Now that's a great Italian hospitality . Our waiter I forgot got his name but he was an amazing waiter making sure we got what we needed and accommodated us when it came to splitting the bill. This place is perfect for a first date or if you want to impress someone you like. The vibes gives off classy and fancy just perfect for dinner with a love one or a group of close friends I will definitely be coming back to try more of what they have to offer ! Thank you Luna Rossa for an amazing experience and excellent meal"
"Was looking for a quick bite and this place popped up on my friend's recommendations! There wasn't a lot of people there since we went on a weekday at night, but that was better for us because service was quick! The server was really nice and made sure to check on us many times. I ordered the House Nachos with Asada ($16) and it was huge! It was really flavorful and the asada was well cooked. The inside was a bar/restaurant and they had so many TVs playing. I'd say this is a great place to watch sports and enjoy some good food with friends! There is plenty of free parking in the plaza as well."
"STEPH JUDGEMENT: The coolest place with no AC.The hubby and I came here to see the legendary Subhumans back in July of '22 and it was a blast! It was our first time but we'd been meaning to come for a while, with all the good buzz. It's a long, narrow space, with a little bar/record shop area when you first walk in, then the stage area, and then the patio, which was a godsend on a warm summer night. They have a smaller bar in the patio, where I think they just had beers. We picked up a couple to enjoy while waiting for the show to start. While we were stoked to see the Subhumans, we are also fans of Generacion Suicida, so it was great to see them in a tiny venue too. Things started to get kind of warm in there with the openers, but when the headliner came on, it just turned into a straight up sauna, so be prepared. That said, we had so much fun seeing such great bands up close and personal that we hardly minded all the dripping sweat and whatnot flying around (we had our masks on, lol). Nice staff, reasonable prices, great vibe--lots to recommend."
"This sounded like one of those Russian matryoshka nesting doll places somewhere within a restaurant. Not as confusing as it might seem since when you walk in the restaurant is to the left while the jazz lounge is to the right. So ignore the various names Seabird Lounge, Seabreeze Lounge and Google map's depiction of a trash filled lot for the address. The seating is quite plushly comfortable. I can overlook some slightly needed upholstery repairs. It's dark enough. This is not one of the many dive bars that populate the area's streetcorners. The announcement for the Scorch Sisters was inviting. The $10 cover charge listed in one announcement turned out to be $7. We could choose our seats even though the room was well filled. The sound system was excellent as was the band."THE SCORCH SISTERS LA'S ALL FEMALE- Blues/Soul/Jazz Band. Kimberly Allison- Guitar Alicia Morgan - Keyboards , Vocals (Lead&BG)Francesca Capasso- Vocals (Lead&BG), Percussion Elizabeth Hangan- Bass, Vocals (Lead&BG) Trish Lash- (Drums)"As bf commented they have an extraordinary blues guitar, keyboard and rhythm section. The lead singer masterfully sang some classic Ella James, and Tracey Chapman's Give Me One Reason. The biggest surprise was the great bluesy rendition of Ode to Billie Joe. The band had a great rapport with the audience. The staff, hostess and waitress, were all pleasant and the owner walked the room greeting his guests. Since I had ginger ale and bf a simple mixed drink and beer, he didn't seem horrified by our bill. He said they are reasonably priced. Given the entertainment, a great deal. Really good people, we want to return soon."
"1st visit.Chill bar & lounge.Love the sound of the music.Bartender, Trish is awesome.I'll be coming back soon.Thank you for the good vibes.Highly recommended bar lounge"
"I love this place. The staff is extremely friendly The inside is beautifully decorated. The cocktail drinks are amazing and they have a large selection of beer. The finger food is great. I love it here"
"Heard that the food was good so we thought we would try it out. We were greeted by the owner Doug, great story on how he revived this place. You can tell that he he had put a lot of time and heart into the place. My husband had the patty melt and I had a burger, they both were delicious. I really liked the onion rings, my husband thought they were okay. The beer was really cold, even the pitchers. We tried the tequila wine and vodka wine it was really good. Prices were good for the quality that you get. We will definitely be back."
"My first time here and it was splendid!! Heard about this place from my friend and decided to tell my friend to come here for her birthday brunch. We Went this past Sunday for brunch, since brunch is popular on Sundays with two times and a day party from 2-7pm. The food is good too! I ordered the salmon and Caesar salad that was good. They also had good margaritas and reasonable prices. The food was delicious and filling. You can order brunch until 3:00pm then after the regular menu or dinner, which is good!! The ambience and vibe is definitely fun and a good time!!! It reminds you of a bar and restaurant like in Miami. The dj Played all the hits for sure. They have a bar inside you can get drinks from, and another side where the day party happens. You can buy bottle service for good deals too!! The service is decent our waitress was nice took a while to come back in the beginning but she was very amicable and patient with a big party. It's located on pine in Long Beach and they have street parking or parking structure located right behind for $20. Overall, I highly recommend here if you want to have a good time and celebrate! This is a fun spot with good music, food, and a place to dance. Heard Friday's and Saturday's are poppin too!!! -Marshay D."
