The kimchi, however, was pale and bland. * Couple Combo: My boyfriend and his daughter, who lived in Seoul for years and is quite picky, loved the pork belly but found the Galbi a bit too sweet. The soybean paste stew was good but not the best she's had. * Seafood Pancake: Our favorite! Packed with seafood and perfectly crispy--if you love pancakes, this is a must-order. * Spicy Octopus Rice in Hot Stone Pot: Absolutely delicious! I wished for more octopus and less rice, but it was so good I happily took leftovers home. * Buckwheat Noodles in Chilled Broth: Served mid-meal, though it felt more like a dessert. It was okay but not something I'd reorder. * Corn Cheese: Simply delicious.Overall, we had an amazing experience. There's a reason this spot is a favorite among K-pop and K-drama stars. There were 11 of us including one toddler and we were able to get a same day reservation. Our initial plans fell through but this restaurant and the activities they had worked out much better for all of us!We had an early dinner and did ax throwing. We were a little worried about how that would work with a toddler but the restaurant is so large and we had enough people who just wanted to stay at the table that things worked out. I was surprised to see so many kinds in this restaurant but it was nice and there's definitely enough space for the kids to run around in the activity areas. Unfortunately the food/drinks were OK at best. I ordered the jambalaya and the rice was overcooked...the whole plate was kind of a mushy mess. my the jungle drink was OK. My husband ordered an espresso martini and a watermelon mojito. Both those drinks were fine. I enjoyed the ribs but overall the food had mixed reviews. I'd probably stick to BBQ. The service was great! Our waiter was friendly and fun. Our food came out very quickly! Will definitely be back!"

"So I've never been to BCD Tofu but I took a friend to this restaurant who goes there all the time and they told me that It's Tofu is a better and less busy version of BCD. In all honesty I still haven't been to BCD yet and after what she told me I don't think I'll be going unless I get a craving late at night Walking into the restaurant you're immediately greeted by all the employees, no matter what they're doing. The restaurant is a bit minimal as far as decor goes (at least when I went) but the food speaks mouth for itself. Even though I walked in at a busy time, myself and my friend were immediately seated and greeted by the staff. They took the time to explain the items on the menu and provide recommendations. Not even 5 mins later our waiter brought all the side dishes to the table, along with some tea and a rice pot for each of us Once the food got served we both dug in. The cut of the beef was so clean and tender, the broth with the soft tofu were phenomenal and you can tell everything on the table is fresh to order or at the very least prepared fresh daily. I made the mistake of falling in love with this place because all I do now is crave it almost 24/7 LOL My only complaint is that this place does close earlier than most restaurants, but it's not something in my book that is worth docking a star over. If you love Korean-centric food at a affordable price, this is the spot for you"

"I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi."

I got lucky and was brought inside to eat for my reservation and it really keeps the noise out so you can really refresh from Disneyland and get a second wind for the rest of your day. Get the 2 or 3pm reservation to recharge !The servers are really attentive and super nice.I wish there was a restroom in the building - just doesn't make sense to me not to have one for guests eating in at these type of restaurants."

"My family and I met here for dinner tonight to celebrate our father's bday since we couldn't meet at our parent's graves we met for dinner. We have been here quite a few times. My Dad's step son used to work here a couple years ago too. It's a nice restaurant it's always busy, the food quality is really good. You can cook in front of you or ask them to cook in the back, which is what we did tonight. There were 8 of us for dinner so we ordered 2 orders of Bulgogi and Beef Brisket. They give you a good amount of banchan too for side dishes. We also ordered Kimchi-jjigae my sister and I shared that, it's our lifelong favorite growing up. A lot of seating in here, but sometimes it gets totally filled up. Our server's name was Kaitlyn, she was really nice. She was her server the last time we came here as well. I just didn't take pictures the last time we came. She's really sweet and got everything we asked for thank you so much, she actually overheard our conversation about my sister and her kids telling us their story about their experience in the fires and how terrifying it was, she felt so bad, asked if we needed anything else she was just really empathetic and kind thank you so very much. It was pretty empty so they were able to hear our conversation easily which we didn't mind. It was really nice of her to ask if we were all OK. What my family went through and what everybody has into during the fires is truly devastating and heartbreaking so our heart goes out to everyone affected by the fires. All the employees here are friendly. It wasn't very busy tonight so we got seated right away. It's very nice restaurant. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't already. The food is delicious they are pretty quick with getting you everything you need. My one only thing I wish the barley tea was hotter, everything else amazing! They don't skimp on the spices!My aunt wanted to take Hubby & I out for lunch, she wanted to try this place in Artesia. We were the first customers of the day. Abida warmly greeted us & we sat at a booth by the counter. It's a small family owned restaurant that could sit possibly 25-30 customers. Free parking available & it is shared on the same plaza as Aikan & Solid Coffee Roasters. We ordered: 4 Beef Tacos, Lamb loin chops, goat curry, paneer tikka (fish/swai) & for myself-/ kabob platter (chose tandoori boti/cubed chicken & Seekh kabobbeef. All served with basmati & naan except for Hubby's tacos. I felt it was going to take a bit of time so I went with an appetizer to hold us off: Kbbq chicken wings (12 pieces). As it turned out, Abida was the only person cooking at the back at 11 am & help will arrive around noon (Ali). It really does have that mom n pop deal, like you were invited to someone's home & they cook for you. Abida was reassuring & we felt we were being looked after by someone's mom. It did take a bit of time (no more than you would at any dine in restaurants) but factor in that it's only Abida cooking. The chicken wings arrived shortly & we enjoyed these while waiting for the rest of our meals. Very flavorful spiced appropriately. When our plates were presented, we dug right in. Although we mentioned low to medium spice level, our dishes definitely had some kick to it, not overpowering though . My tandoori boti chicken was tender & paired so well with the garlic naan. My auntie had the goat curry which was also very full of savory & warm spices/-I dipped my naan to sop up the goodness. My beef Seekh kabob was good but I really liked the chicken.My aints & Hubby liked their orders. My other auntie ordered a mango lass & it looked so good that ended ordering one for myself. It was a bit too sweet for my taste so I shared with Hubby & diluted it--it was a unique taste & it was refreshingly creamy, delicious! All in all it was my first taste of Indian & Korean foods, it was very tasty & we welcomed the amazing hospitality shown by Abida & Ali who helped the 2nd half of our meal. Hanna was my server and she was very cordial and attentive.I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came with a side - I chose coleslaw. I also ordered a biscuit, based on the recommendation of other reviews, which tickled my curiosity. For a drink I got a lemonade which was tart and refreshing.The pulled pork sandwich was monstrous. Rather than a bun it's served on a long, crunchy roll. The tender pork was covered with slaw, pickles and a deliciously tangy Carolina bbq sauce and had a nice smokey flavor. As I never smelled that smokey smell of barbecue floating in the air I am guessing they smoke their meat off-site or have an amazing ventilation system.The side slaw was okay, a "healthy" version which was a bit too plain for my taste. It was a bad decision as a side since the sandwich already had plenty of coleslaw; I ended up eating little of it. The homemade biscuit was amazing. They provide berry jam and a house-made fennel butter which was incredible. If I wasn't already stuffed from the ginormous sandwich I might have ordered a second biscuit just to savor more of that fennel butter. I really enjoyed my dining experience here. Whatever you order, get the biscuit."
