"Butter+Cream Bakery made the most incredible wedding cake and desserts my wife and I have ever had! Our wedding cake was gluten-free due to my wife's allergy and it was so good that when we told people after the fact they legitimately did not believe us because Nataly's talent is so good that her gluten-free cake is still even better than anyone else's regular cake!We also had small fruit tarts, 3 flavors of macarons, & 3 types of cupcakes with amazing flower frosting on top. Each as incredible as the previous! We seriously can not recommend this place enough as it will be the best sweets you have ever had!Thank you Nataly for making our special night even more perfect!"

"So happy I stumbled on this place this weekend! I felt like a kid in a candy store with so much cool and unique bakery goods.Huge garlic buns, so yummy and the texture and flavor were on point. The blueberry scones wasn't too sweet and soft and flakey. I had the flatten croissant and I should of gotten the one the toppings, the original just was a flatten croissant with a tiny bit of glazed on it. I also got the nutella one and that one was really good and packed with flavor. The place was cute for studying or catching up with a friend. Service was great and friendly."
"Best bolios you will ever have in your life! They stay soft and fresh for 3-4 days!!! The coffee cake is amazing...but isn't always available, so grab it when it's there. Open super early and stay open late too"
"Saw there post on IG and had to stop. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very polite young lady i asked a couple of questions and she answered them with no hesitation. The bakery is small but clean. I tried there mil hojas cake It was awesome not sweet just right the fruit was very fresh. It's a small bakery but worth it. Parking is in the street."
"Some of the best baclava I've ever had! Perfect for parties and reasonably priced. I'd suggest ordering ahead for large platters."
"Friendliest staff ever! My favorites....ham & cheese sandwich, Italiano sandwich, Foley chardonnay, and cold brew coffee. They also carry awesome Pasea swag like stainless steel Swell water bottles, hats, and more. There are tables and chairs inside and out so you can enjoy a drink or a hot meal."
"I've never been more impressed with how pretty and accurate the cakes from this bakery come out. I've brought in multiple Pinterest ideas and they always deliver. I also love that the bakery doesn't just have cakes, you can stop by for pan dulce and bolillos too. Thank you to Katys Bakery for my beautiful gender reveal cake. We loved it!"
"The place is very clean, staff are very nice, and it's family friendly. Did I mention the bagel and cream cheese are amazing !! Highly recommend!!"
"Loved the food, I ordered a Pandan Grass Jelly with light sweetness. The grass jelly had no flavor but that's just how grass jelly is. The milk was slightly sweet and really good. It was more of a textural dessert than a flavorful one, but overall I loved it!The place itself had lots of seating and it was completely full on a Friday night. I don't have much to say about the service since I ordered on the self order machine, but the staff seemed really nice and helpful. Super nice ambience of the store and nice place to hang out on a late night."
"I told you the next time I come back I'm trying the snowball.I had the (small) snowball w/Pina colada Tutti Frutti Added: Tiger blood (.25) Condensed milk (.75) Let's just say it didn't make it home... I mean after I took pictures it was only right for me to attack it before it melted and blended together RIGHT??? It was the right thing to do! and sooo worth it"
"The customer service is always amazing. The bakery is always clean and the food is always delicious. I walked in with my mom and sister and we were greeted with a big friendly smile and a "Hi, how many would you like today" LOL it's nice and makes you feel like a valued customer to not only be remembered by face but also our favorite order.See you next time"

The best Mexican Panadería in Downey! With so many Mexican bakeries in LA, it's hard to find the ones that are actually good. Well, this one is one of them! Their concha's are on point! Especially the mini-conchas! They are a favorite in our household. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this panadería. Pro tip- if you want mini conchas, go early because they run out!

I've ordered cakes from Butter+Cream a handful of times and each cake has been wonderful. The variety of choices and flavors are great to accommodate different tastes, but the ready made cakes are also delicious. I've reached out with short notice before and they've been able to have the cakes ready for us. The prices are very good for the quality and the custom cake they did for my birthday was exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend for any cake/dessert needs! The bakers here are very talented!

Ridiculous why didn't I write this review????? I've been here a bunch of times and didn't write my review!?!?!??!The bread and pastry items are pretty good but I lay off nowadays because I'm pretty much am laying off items with dairy as much as I can....(I already did but I am just trying to be more stringent)....The drinks are pretty good the coffee drinks are just okay for coffee drinks but some of their other drinks are good....I've had the house coffee, lattes, Tiger Latte and like I said they are all decent...My favorite drink there though is YSL = Yuzu Sparkling Lemonade....The place can get noisy and really busy at times....All the employees are friendly and nice....A good place to hangout with friends and/or "try" to do work or study....

This is what you always wish pan dulce would taste like, but never quite find. But here, HERE IT IS. The bread is splendid. Soft, moist, spongy, yielding, fragrant, sweet and buttery bread at every turn. Every piece I've tried here from the conchas to the pineapple upside down cake, has exceeded my expectations. Some Mexican bakeries are hit or miss, but these people are home run kings. Go get yourself a muffin or that pineapple cake and you will be dreaming of it for days!

So happy to see this business up and running. Whatever business was there before (I believe it was an ice cream place) seemed to be closed often or had odd hours. It's nice having a bakery I can walk to. The smell that comes out of there was enough to pull me in on a Saturday morning on my way home from a walk. For a while I was going every week, but it was because of a pan dulce I had never seen or heard of in my life caught my attention here. And it was love at first bite! Seriously! It's a flaky, round pastry called a "laurel" and it is covered in fine sugar. I want to say it also has some kind of custardy component, but if custard was dried or dehydrated. I don't know how it is made, but it is heavenly! The conchas are also delicious, especially when they have the cinnamon flavored one. I once got the pig-shaped one (only once because other times I'd gone they'd be sold out) and that was really delicious. It's my mom's pick. Now I just need to try some of the cakes. They have mini cakes in their display, from the mil hojas cake and cheesecake slices to mini fruit tarts.Just a couple of inconveniences: they only accept cash and the parking situation sucks, unless you can just walk to it. I've seen people park in the alley with their hazards on for a quick pickup. Whatever works. The bread is worth it!

A small hidden gem in Anaheim was definitely delicious! We got some different baklava's and they were extremely flavorful and cut into small bite-size pieces. I loved the donut holes with honey. A must spot for a sweet tooth craving! This bakery had seating and they offer cakes and drinks as well. It is a small little café, very intimate. I can't wait to go back and try out more.

My review is over do...I walk over to blend when getting my car washed across the street. The team there in the morning, especially Robert, are so friendly and pleasant. It's nice to have a team who are more engaged with their guests than each other. Their tropical iced tea is amazing although I do wish it were bigger for the price. Egg croissant is good as well as the egg muffin.

Need a delicious cake ? Look no further ! North Long Beach has a little bakery packed with flavor, low prices and lots of deliciousness I needed a cake for my friends birthday and I decided to stop at Katy's bakery. What a treat! The cashiers are adorable, super friendly and willing to help you find exactly what you need. From the minute I walked in I knew I was home the aromas of fresh baked bread and sugar... to die for! Keep in mid this is a very small bakery but they bake with all their heart I ended up paying $45 for a delicious vanilla and chocolate cake , YES! only $45 for a 1/4 of a sheet which feeds 20-25 it was so creamy and not too sweet, truly a crowd pleaser What else can I ask for ?!?? Pay them a visit when you are in the area oh and try their "cuernitos filled with cream cheese and jalapeños" for a little snack.

"Happy Donut Day. 85 words? What hasn't been said about this wonderful little shop before. Sylvia and crew always greet everyone with a smile. She seems to know everyone by their first name. Picked up a couple of the flaky, buttery croissants this morning. A couple of donuts as well. After all, National Donut Day right."
"I started following Alenni on IG (@batterupsweetery) a few months ago after seeing a local Long Beach page post her. Her work is what caught my eye and I was instantly hooked (I am a visual person). I mean seriously, who doesn't want to support a local, small, women-owned business? When we got engaged and locked in a location for our happy hour/engagement party, I knew the one favor I wanted our guests to take home was one of her cookies. I contacted Alenni, she was prompt to respond as well as super friendly. I was probably annoyingly easy for her because I just trusted her judgement and expertise. I wanted her to have fun with these cookies as well. We did a neutral toned palette for our cookies and she creative absolute masterpieces. Not only did the cookies look absolutely beautiful, they tasted amazing as well (you can ask my guests from the party who are still talking about them!). The flavor was balanced and just perfect, not too sweet and they weren't dry at all. I am so glad I saved a few for myself before we got to the party because they were all gone.Thank you Alenni for your talent and passion to create such wonderful pieces to make an event even more special. You rock girlfriend! XOX"
"I recently discovered the beauty of lamhajuns from other bakeries, and I was excited to try them here! They were tasty as expected, and I love that they are a light and affordable snack. We also tried the khachapuri, spinach boreg, and zaatar manaish. The khachapuri was light in flavor so we needed to add some salt and pepper. I appreciated that it was a good, simple pastry. The zaatar manaish has a fluffier dough and is drier than the lahmajun. It's good on its own, but I could see myself adding cheese to it since that seems like a good pairing. The man at the cashier is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed. The parking lot is tiny, but we've been lucky to find parking easily on our visits."
"Bread is always soft and fresh. Bollio is always so good soft and fresh, even the next day."
"This is the place I'll drive on the freeway during a rainstorm for some good pan dulce. Located in plaza Mexico shopping center, surrounded by various other bakeries and shops for Mexican delights... but this little bakery is the winner. My mom and I are very picky when it comes to our pan dulce. It's been a staple in our home growing up and now in my home it is still there on my dining table to share with my friends. Vivian's bakery has the soft, flavorful, delicious sweet bread with the best recipes. I can taste the difference in the bread here compared to any other bakery. It's just better! Trust me. The customer service is really great as well! I've been here on my good days as well as my bad days, and the owner has been gracious with me. Even once, I was short on cash and asked her to take out a piece and she smiled at me and said to bring what I owe for next time. Such a sweet lady! I can rave about the bread all day, but I've also got to mention a special item here. They serve atole, which is hard for me to explain what it is. It's not like coffee, it's thick but not like oatmeal. There's several flavors but the best one I've had here is also a rare flavor, I've never seen this offered anywhere else and it's... GUAYABA (guava). The guayaba atole is SO DELICIOUS. I can't even begin to explain what it tastes like! It's just GOOD and sweet, so if you don't like sweet I wouldn't recommend. But also, while in line I ALWAYS overhear people say they're getting the Nuez (walnut) atole. So that's really popular too. I wasn't a fan, though. Anyway, please give this place your business if you want to try some GOOD pan dulce and maybe some of their other treats. You won't be disappointed!"
"11/5/2023 This is a combined review from visiting the past two times. Both on a weekday. Warning: This is a long review. ** Be mindful of the hours! They open at 8:00am, but close at 1:00pm or 2:00pm daily depending on the day. So keep that in mind before you decide to drop by! ** All their baked goods such as scones and bagels are made in-house and will be fresh out of the oven at 9:00am every day! But they do not refresh their baked items in their display case, so it's first come, first serve until sold out! So come in around that time if you want to grab any of those items. DROP BISCUIT SANDWICHWarm, buttery, flaky garlic cheddar drop biscuit with thinly sliced ham, cream cheese and melty, gooey cheddar cheese. This was so good! It was the perfect size too! These are to die for! JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR BAGEL Deliciousss! Made in-house and it shows! Lovely springy bagel bread sprinkled with jalapeño and cheddar. Bagel is not thin, but has a beautiful spongy bite to it. Toasted or untoasted, it was delicious with or without cream cheese. When toasted, delightfully crunchy on the outside and bread is still chewy and not dry. PUMPKIN SPICE LATTEThis was good, although there was more nutmeg than cinnamon, which was kinda' sad. However, loved the frothy creamy milk. If only there was more flavor overall. COFFEE CAKE SCONEI'm gonna say it again. Deeeelicioussss! Fluffy and soft with the outside layers having a light crunch! Enjoyed every bite!Yes, it does taste like coffee cake, but subtle in flavor. If you didn't know the name, you'd probably think it's a cinnamon scone. But still more buttery than cinnamony. CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONEThis had a good amount of choc chips in each bite! However, I realized that the freshly baked scones do not taste the same after a few hours. Texture-wise still moist and biscuit-like in some areas, but some parts were dry. Unfortunate because the Coffee Cake Scone was a completely different experience! Scones should be consumed ASAP. Get there early to grab a scone or two fresh! BREAKFAST SANDWICHYes, gonna say it again! This was deeelicioussss! Recommended to me by the barista, so I had to try it! Fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage patty (a bit thin though), gooey melty cheddar cheese on a soft buttery brioche bun! Heavenlyyy! I don't think this is offered daily, as I did not see this on the daily menu, so if you see it, order it without a second thought! Eat it right away! Once you try it, you'll be dreaming of them daily! CALI BLTWanted to try an avocado toast and it seems this was the only toast on the menu with avocado in it. But didn't realize bacon was added too, hence the BLT. Their house-made sourdough bread was absolutely crunchy, spongy, delightful! Super delish! That bread was so good and that crusty cheddar melted on top! The toppings were okay and wished it was a simpler toast with maybe heirloom tomatoes, smashed avocado, sea salt, black pepper and sprinkled with olive oil. CHEDDAR BAGEL (with Garlic Herb Cream Cheese)Toasted, it was perfectly chewy and lightly crunchy cheddar top on the outside. It was perfect as it was! The garlickly chunky herbed cream cheese was delicious with the bagel. I am officially a fan of their bagels! Not buying them elsewhere! CAPPUCCINO (Hot)Overall decent flavor. Steamed milk was perfect. BROWNIEThe brownie was moist with a crumbly top. Good cocoa and semi-sweet chocolate flavor coming through! PEANUT BUTTER CUP LATTE (Hot)This had a lovely peanut butter flavor and had the right amount of sweetness! Enjoyed this! Ordering again next time! My new favorite coffee and bakery shop in Long Beach! Coming back for many more visits! AMBIANCE / SEATSSuch a peaceful and quiet ambiance. Quiet music playing in the background. Cozy vibes. Lots of chairs and tables too! This place does not get crowded, so if you want a quiet place to study or work on your labtop, this is the place for it all! "How delightful to have a new desserts bakery in the Broadway Corridor! I'm no stranger to their treats as they are a regular vendor at the Wednesday Marine Stadium farmers market and other farmers markets. I'm a fan of their cookies and mini pies and tried their cheesecake brownie today. Very good! They're Filipino owned so of course you will find a couple of ube-flavored goodies here. You can find their shop near the southwest corner of Broadway & Temple next to the bike shop. It's very easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled!"
"If you are Asian and craving for Goto (Congee), this is the place. They are well known for it. It is a hole in the wall staple. We always get their Goto, Veggie Lumpia, Dinuguan, Tokwa't Baboy and Pansit. The past few months, I have been adding Cebuchon (roasted pork belly) and Pansit Malabon. I always bring these for potlucks and it has always been a bit. Crunchy skin and mouth watering belly meat marinated with spices and lemongrass. Tess, their main server is such a sweetheart. It is like visiting a family's home...I always order and take it home, as there is not enough space to enjoy your food."
"We went near 5-6PM but they still had some strawberry croissants and it was not busy. Probably an unusually less busy day but would go again (maybe earlier)."

"If I lived nearby, I would probably gain 10lbs from all the wonderful pan dulce and breads. Soft, not too sweet, familiar even though I'm not Mexican. It's a micro bakery with many items to buy & take home. Also tamales Champurrado might be available too. I guess I m bias bec I love little family run neighborhood bakeries like this one that I have luckily visited all over this world. I will visit again shortly."
"Firstly, I want say that the banh mi's here are delicious and unique. I saw complaints about how small the banh mi's are compared to other spots. But if you look at the concept of their bakery it's more of French style and it's not meant to be like typical banh mi's spots like Tan Hoang Huong or Banh mi Che Cali. The bread is more sourdough like and it seems like they baked them freshly in store. Please look around and observe before writing reviews. Some banh mi's options has scallions or arugula in it. How can you compare this to typical Vietnamese spots? If anything this place is more gourmet for literally the same price as any other banh mi's spots. The education and technique the owner obtained to create these creations are worth the money spent here. If you want regular Vietnamese banh mi then this is not the spot for you.The flavors that this place has is unlike any other and I'm glad I stumbled upon it a few months ago. I've been coming back every other week and the sandwiches have been on my mind as one of my top spots. I'm not affiliated with this store and I feel that the negative reviews are not accurate. If you look at the bakery it seems like a mom and pop shop and the owner is running it by herself with some family members. It's ok, as long as the food and service are great. Everyone who starts a business takes time to build it up. I believe they are doing great and the food prices are reasonable. They are not charging over the top for nothing. If you like to support big corporations that have the funds to support making their businesses look up to par then please do so... but please don't criticized mom and pop shops over what kind of bag they use to give you the product. The bag is new and not used. It just doesn't say the current business name. And I don't see what that has to do with the actual product itself that's being offered.Anyway, give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. Here are some of my favorites -Spicy fish cake (has scallions)-Sticky Pate pork floss -Grilled lemongrass chicken (has arugula)-Vietnamese thi cha cucumber Sweets-Durian crepe cake-Matcha crepe cake -Tiramisu crepe cake-Almond croissant"
"There's nothing better than a donut shop ham and cheese croissant, and this shop does well! I really enjoyed all of the items I got here. The donuts still tasted fresh even though I stopped by right before closing! I will be returning to get another ham and cheese and raised donut!"
"Delicious and beautiful cakes for any occasion that are easy to serve. The service is excellent, they really go above and beyond to make sure you get something special. Highly recommend!"
"Found myself in the area and have had Portugal Imports for quite some time. I looked around their shop and ended up purchasing two tins of fish which I am looking foward to having! I also ordered the two pastel de nata which was worth every bite! i had my second one hours later and the crust was still super flaky! The staff was really friendly and I hope to make my way back for another visit!"
"WE LOVE STOX This place is the best the service is over the top great they are so nice and give the best service . Everyone is so AMAZING AND NICE and treat us so good. My father has been going here for over 40 years and they treated him with best up most respect . He loved every one there. They are such great people we Love them all so much ! THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS MAKING RUBEN OUR DAD FEEL SO SPECIAL"
"La Esperanza has been my go to for Mexican baked goods. They also have a restaurant that serves up the best Pupusa's. Delicious"
"I discovered this place through Yelp yesterday and knew immediately I wanted to check it out, and it did not disappoint. Super cute themed place, the owner was very friendly and pleasant. They sell human and dog treats, along with coffee and gelato. My son said the gelato was 5 stars lol. I knew I wanted to try this place specifically because they had a cardamom latte, which I LOVE and never see this outside of my usual place close to home I go to in Brea. My latte was flavorful and I really enjoyed it. The overall vibe of the place is very cute and cozy, and definitely different, which makes it stand out in a good way. They have coloring pages where you can decorate a doxy and yours can be featured on their wall. This place is worth checking out, we'll be back for sure!"
"I think by now we all know that this place is the place for churros...just thought I'd remind many or made those who have not tried it to go and support them. The cakes here look amazing and delicious, which i've never tried, but definitely will as soon as a birthday approaches. I recently ordered the "cafe de olla" and thought it was tasty but a bummer they do not add piloncillo (brown sugar like) as most places do. The server explained "the original" does not have that added it is just coffee with cinnamon. Anyways, that coffee is still tasty and recommend trying it out. Service is good and looks like they've done upgrades to the place."
"Newish business. We wanted to try dessert and we were a little full, otherwise, we would have tried more. You can try a little of everything in their dessert bar and it comes with a warm coconut dip which was unique and delicious and a great value. I got to try durian for the first time and don't understand the aversion to it. The owner was so nice in packaging our orders. Check it out of you are in the area!"
"This has to be one of my favorite businesses in long beach. To start, the staff are always warm and welcome. They treat everyone like family and are always so cheerful. Breakfast + Lunch ALL DAY! I really love that the new owners have their full menu available during opening hours. Not only are they the most economical option for burritos in long beach, I believe they might even be the biggest. (see photos) I was not a fan of the previous management of this place, but I encourage anybody that was discouraged from the previous owners to go back and try it again. I swore off this place until I found that there were new people that really wanted to introduce great value to the community. 5 stars all around!"
"We walked from our house to second street and decided to stop in to grab a pastry. We didn't have a mask because we didn't intend to go into any stores but my friend didn't know about the bakery & I wanted her to try it so we went in. The gal behind the register offered us a mask (thank you!) then the smell of freshly baked goods just took us away. We bought chocolate. Croissants, a plain croissant & two almond croissants (it was so delicious!!). It's a good thing we walked to earn our right to eat this. Everyone was helpful and accommodating."
"Yummy coffee and relaxing vibe. Great brewed coffee here and plenty of real estate indoors and outdoors to enjoy your freshly brewed coffee. They also have to go cold drinks, such as kombucha, cold brews, and cold pressed jars. They also have pastries that you can enjoy with your delicious coffee. This place is easy to find on the corner of the street. Parking can be tight so be patient. There are nondairy options I used in my delicious maple lavender."
