"Our first time visiting, with a toddler nonetheless, and B-Line (the owner) showed us great hospitality! We ordered the Cali burrito and a chicken quesadilla for our 3 year old daughter. The Cali burrito has that chewy, translucent tortilla that is crispy on the outside, yet stretchy/ chewy/ soft on the inside. I freakin' love tortillas like that! Burrito was well constructed that each bite had carne asada, fries, and the fixings. Loved the melted, gooey cheese, too!Kids chicken quesadilla could have been an adult entree. Loaded with perfectly grilled and tender chicken chunks. Came with a side of beans and rice. My daughter is a picky eater and she was devouring her quesadilla like there was no tomorrow.Thai tea horchata was so unique and yum! Highly recommend. We opted to dine in. B-Line brought us a high-chair and told us that he'd bus the table when we were done. He had a huge catering order that he was working on and he ended up sharing some leftover mac and cheese with my daughter. Again, the picky toddler devoured that mac and cheese immediately.Service was awesome. Food was great - the yelp stars don't lie. Parking is free, in a strip mall lot. Apple pay FTW. There's a constant flow of people coming in to order/ dine in and pickup for take-out. Only a few tables inside so I think most people opt for take-out. I can't wait to come back and try some new items off the menu."

This restaurant in garden grove serves dishes that are $9.99 and everything on their menu is delicious. My friends practically ordered half the menu and I needed to try all of them cuz I knew I'd want to go back. They serve dry noodles and soup noodles and appetizers. Service was excellent and very fast! I was more impressed with their noodle dishes versus their appetizers. I also had the green thai tea and tasted the herbal tea and both were good and would definitely get again. I'm already craving this place and will ask them to add extra quail eggs in my noodles."

The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was still raw because it hadn't completely thawed. I was so hungry that I left the fish and ate the meat and fish cake. The roast pork was very hard to chew . I had almost finished 1/2 my bowl but my friend's bowl still hadn't been brought out. Meanwhile, the two of us ordered 2 bowls of Bun Mam at the same time. And I reminded the waiter, my friend's bowl of Bun Mam was also brought out and the result wasn't any better than mine. The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was raw like mine. After that, I had diarrhea all night. It was scary. Opening a restaurant requires a conscience and careful cooking to serve customers, otherwise no one will dare to come back to eat."

This is an off menu item and will only be put on the menu if people are willing to try it.Spicy spaghetti was probably my absolute favorite thing, the flavors of sweet spicy and savory just dance on your tastebuds. This place is known for their rice street noodles and it's a Thai version of kung pao chicken. It was good but my preference would've been to make it a little spicier. It was more on the sweet side for me. Overall probably one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in a while. And I would definitely come back to try the other dishes."

I've been eating here since their OG location which was literally a few restaurants down from where it is now. Used to come here after every Sunday mass with my family. "I was never a shabu fan until I tried Mokkoji. It's soo delicious, I can never get enough! All of my visits here have been great, from the service I receive, the food, the environment, everything is a 10/10. Depending on what time you go during the day, parking might be a little difficult since the plaza is a bit small. I usually get the Original broth with a Regular Toro, but if I'm feeling extra hungry, I would get the large and give my boyfriend whatever I can't finish. My boyfriend likes the Spicy Pork Broth, which is also really good but keep in mind, that one is $5 extra. The order comes with ponzu and peanut sauce, a bowl of white rice, and veggies/udon/tofu. The meat is plated so beautifully, you can't help but snap a picture. Not only that, but it's such good quality. I've had shabu meats where it's too dry or chewy and wasn't enjoyable. But that's never the case here, leaving me with a good lasting impression every single time.Some things to note: They do offer indoor and outdoor seating (I prefer sitting indoors). The price might seem a little expensive (my order comes out to around $25-$30) but for the amount of food you get + the quality, it's always worth it in my opinion. For your broth and/or sauces, the servers ask if you want hot drops but if you're not a fan for spice, beware because even just one drop is SPICY! Don't underestimate those tiny drops. Also Mokkoji is not AYCE, but even though that's the case, the amount of meat they give is enough to fill me up. 10/10!!!"

It came quick with a very friendly owner who we chatted with most of our dinner. I always know if it's a good broth if I don't need to add much hoison or sriracha and I only added a little to enhance the already yummy flavor!
