It's been over 10 years since we came here. It isn't because we had a bad experience either. We moved, life got busy w/endless activities and we have been going to places that are 5 minutes away. I have been complaining about pizza places skimping on toppings and couldn't think of a pizza place that didn't skimp. It wasn't until I was checking my email and came across Buono's!Pizza is so good. I love that the crust is fluffy and thick. My husband has a gluten-allergy and he loves that there are different sizes available All of the pizza places we've been to usually offer small or personal size. The best part, the pizza toppings were generous! A bite of a slice should always be a mouthful of the toppings with the crust and cheese. There is a salad bar and it has a good variety of salad ingredients. It is a one time trip so we ordered a large and I was able to make it big enough for 3 of us to share. Dressing choices were good! The italian was Girard's. The Ranch was thick & buttermilky! It is perfect for dipping buffalo wings without the dressing sliding off. The restaurant is set up like counter service. When we arrived we headed to the counter to order but the girl said to pick a table and a server will take our order. Service was good, a little slow, but we weren't in dire need for anything right away. My son refilled his soda since the patrons eating in the patio came in and out to refill their drinks. Our server got pretty busy with a 2nd big group. The other workers were pretty good about helping him out and coming to check on us too. There is a lunch buffet from Wed - Friday. We would love to come back to check it out. Restaurant is great for families and families with a dog. The patio area can definitely accommodate furry family members. A group with teens and littles can be accomodated inside and out. Can't wait to come back to try the lunch buffet. Next time I will take photos of the delicious food. We're glad we came back. It's been waaay too long. Thank you for a great dinner!

Food is solid...but not something I'd go out of my way for. I live close so it's convenient. I would recommend their pizzas here. They have pasta as well that are decent. They have a good daily happy hour 3-6pm with offerings from 5-8 dollars, along with a Wednesday-Friday lunch buffet from 11-2 that is about $15. The buffet is good if you're really hungry or just trying to eat a variety of things. They had pepperoni pizza, fries/wedges, meatballs, a soup, 3 pastas (marinara w penne, bacon mushroom creamy rigatoni, chicken broccoli alfredo), garlic knots and a salad bar when I went. Everything was decent... I prob wouldn't go again for the buffet as I only cared for one pasta (mushroom one)... the pizza was decent and of course the salad bar is always good. The pastas got soggy over time so I would recommend getting there closer to 11am if you want the buffet.They also have a lunch special that I would prob opt for instead... not sure the price but most likely less than the buffet. A slice of cheese pizza, a trip to the salad bar and a drink. M-F 11-2

I don't like writing bad reviews, but I feel drawn to here.I ordered the lasagna from Uber Eats. It came nice and hot so I know that it was still fresh.The lasagna was so greasy and disgusting that I took a couple of bites and threw it out. I could see the pooled grease and oil at the top of the food. It completely took away my appetite and made the whole thing unappealing.I hope this was just a one-off bad experience, but I'll never know because I won't get food from here again.

This restaurant has always been a staple to many in our community and was even voted best pizza in San Pedro through an unofficial blind pizza tasting contest. While the prices are not cheap, the amount of food you get for what you pay is absolutely worth it. I do think they do much better with their red sauces than that white/ creamy sauces when it comes to pasta. There is a server here, a younger girl, who always provides amazing customer service and is very friendly. While it is partially self serve, they have still managed to provide a substantial level of service. The restaurant itself is consistently clean and you'll see a lot of people with their dogs on the outside patio. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is perfect on the sunnier days. Overall, this is a great choice and is one of our go tos for a nice date night for happy hour.

It had been years since I had their pizza... Their new location is definitely worth a visit! We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. My son has been on a sausage kick, so we are trying all our local spots. This is definitely on the list!

The good:I stumbled upon this place unplanned because I was in the area for the Dia de Los Muertos event. I got a bbq chicken pizza in a medium. It was enough for 3 people. I liked the fluffy crust and the flavor of the sweet bbq sauce. The chicken was tender and moist. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with heat lamps. You order at a counter and grab a number to bring to your table. I like the casual atmosphere and the straight forward and classic menu. They also have a self-serve salad bar. The bad:Parking is tricky because this is downtown. I parked in a nearby garage for free however. The cashier seemed new because he didn't know answers to my questions. He didn't know which price referred to what size pizza. He forgot to give us our drink cups. He seemed flustered and inexperienced. We weren't told where plates or utensils were located. I prefer a thinner and crispier crust but this one was good in its own way. I wish there were more pizza flavors. The interesting:They have 2 other locations in Long Beach. They offer catering.

Just ate lunch here after not having it for a while & honestly it didn't disappoint! The pizza is solid & the wings were actually decent! Our server Mia was very sweet & attentive to us which I always appreciate! My only issue was with the salad bar, it's usually all really good but my party and I just noticed that maybe some of the toppings weren't super fresh, but other than that we really enjoyed our meal & experience. I'd say if you're ever in the downtown San Pedro area it's worth trying it & stopping in for a bite!
