Brown Cup Boba

Stopped by today while grabbing lunch in steelcraft, I wasn't sure what to order so I asked for the server to let me try their favorite drink. I was made a Hokkaido milk tea with the ice cream blended and it tasted so so good! I loved the taste of the tea and the aftertaste of coconut made me feel like I needed to be sitting by the beach. 10/10 would recommend!

Brown cup boba is a spot at Steelcraft Bellflower for boba milk teas. My wife got a peach tea with fruit jelly and I got their signature house milk tea with boba. Ordering takes place through a tablet in front of their shop and we got our drink in a reasonable time frame. I think that the drinks we ordered were good and I'd rate it as 3 stars: A-OK (per yelp's scale). I mean that I would definitely buy a drink here again as it does the job if you are craving a tea to go with your meal at Steelcraft; however, it didn't impress on me that I should come to Bellflower to specifically have a drink here. Who knows though - maybe I'll have a different experience if I order different things? Time will tell.

October 09, 2024The boba shop was suppose to be open at 11:30am. We were at the food court from 11:45am -1pm getting lunch and hoping to also get something sweet to drink but it never opened. Can't comment on the service since nobody was there. The dining area was nice and open. Plenty of spaces to sit (free seating for all of the restaurant).(Updated to put the date that I visit)

Needed to update my original post (which I still stand by) to now include on their menu delicious hot drinks that warm you up through and through. One of the great things about Brown Cup Boba? They remain consistent with rich flavors that keep you coming back. You always know it's going to be good hot or cold!

It's inside the Steel Craft area, the gentleman that works at the Brown Cup Boba is friendly and we let him know it was our first time and he answered the few questions we had. We got the smoothie your choice and picked two flavors to mix, pineapple and mango was an excellent combo. He even gave us a card to stamp, each drink gives you a stamp, buy 6 and get a 1 small drink. Would recommend if you are in Bellflower.

Did not know there was a Steelcraft here! Only been to the one in Garden Grove so I was pleasantly surprised. I think the last time I was at steelcraft was literally the day before Covid shutdown happened so it was a pleasant reminder of how much we have progressed from the pandemic!My first pregnancy craving has been honeydew milk tea with boba and this place definitely satisfied my craving. I ordered it with 75% sugar and it. hit. the. spot!

Brown Cup Boba is located at Steelcraft - parking can be hit or miss, but you can always park elsewhere and walk to the location.Brown sugar matcha - if you're big on matcha, you gotta try it! It's the perfect combination of brown sugar and matcha. If you're not big on sugar, 75% might be a good cap.Stopped by after dinner during a weeknight and there wasn't a line. We ordered the brown sugar milk and the brown sugar matcha. Boba consistency was good and tasted even better. For someone who normally gets fruit teas, I really enjoyed the brown sugar matcha and kind of wanted to get another drink before we left. The drinks took a minute to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait.Overall happy with what we ordered and definitely want to come back and try the other drinks. If you like boba, definitely check this place out!

I was working in the area and boba + coffee blend is always first choice for an afternoon treat and pick me up!I love that you don't need a human to order and that the human making the drinks prepares your order quickly! Parking is in the back or front if you're lucky enough to find it. Was so happy to try this place which happens to be located at Steelcraft which has a few other eateries, live music on the weekends and is family friendly. Oh, the drink was flavorful and worth the calories.

Is there never a good time to have Boba? Maybe, but it was not the case when I got Brown Cup Boba. The only thing that really surprised me about the place was that the cup itself wasn't brown. But rest assured, the drink comes in a cup and it also comes with Boba (if you prefer). Still, that's a non topic.Customers order through a tablet that walks you through all the different flavors and variations you can make. I honestly prefer that instead of being asked on the spot by a cashier how much sweetness or what toppings to add since I end up ordering impulsively because I feel like I'm holding up the line, when in reality there's no one behind me and I just messed my own order because I was too insecure about ordering a Boba! I mean who does that?! Who gets nervous from ordering boba?!?!?!? Me, obviously. At least having a machine do the work takes away the anxiety I get from a person looking into my apprehensive eyes as I stutter my way through the menu like a complete buffoon when faced with a simple question. But I digress. My party and I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with boba and the Coconut Matcha Milk Tea with boba. The Coconut Matcha Milk Tea took longer to make and the server asked us to come back multiple times because the orders all came out at different times. I assume the matcha was being made from scratch (like the raw ingredients were being shipped directly from Japan on a fighter jet as I ordered it). The Matcha Coconut Milk Tea must have been pretty good or I was just impatient after waiting because I forgot to take a photo. If you're in the area, you can't go wrong stopping by. But if you're in a hurry, do not get the Matcha Coconut Milk Tea.

I ordered a "coconut milk tea" which I thought would be milk tea with coconut flavoring, but when I got it I was confused by its pure white color. I was in a rush so I had to leave, but I called and was told that I was just drinking a very expensive cup of whole milk with some coconut powder and boba. My question then is why are they calling it "coconut milk tea" if there's absolutely no tea in it? Maybe I should've asked more questions before ordering, but I will not be finishing it and I will not be returning.
