Broadway Cocktail Lounge

Not a bad spot for a couple well drinks, pool and karaoke if you're so inclined. Located at the gateway of Long Beach's ‍ nabe, and it's a haven for friends of mine in the community. Frequented by locals, a bit divey, maybe not where I'd start a night-out drinking sesh but where is take it from there. Drinks are reasonably priced. Solid G&T. Bartenders are pretty chill.

For a local gay bar this place continues to decline. Over priced, cash only, loud music when no one is in bar,sub-par pool tables, unclean bathrooms.

I've been frequenting the Broadway Bars for longer than I'd like to admit but just recently, I went with my buddy to THE Broadway Bar for the first time. After starting out at the Sweetwater, then making my to the Mineshaft, then the SilverFox.... Don't judge me, it was that kind of night - I somehow ended my Wednesday night here and was greeted by an amazing surprise, bartender Andrew, who was the highlight of my visit. Definitely a good atmosphere and a good crowd but I'm very much annoyed when businesses are cash only. I find it to be completely consumer unfriendly... but I guess it wouldn't be Long Beach without that annoyance. But props for having a parking lot for customers to use on Broadway, that's unheard of! And don't worry, I wasn't driving! However, my second visit, on a Friday night, was terrible and solidifies the fact that I will not be retuning. The door guy was extremely rude, condescending, and intimidating. If I wanted to be berated and spoken down to by a very large straight guy, I'd visit my middle school bully in prison or visit an Applebees in the Bible Belt, while in full drag. It took me a decade to finally make it here and I will not be going back. I don't expect full on safe spaces even from "gay bars" but I refuse to visit anywhere that is straight up overly hostile. LOVE Andrew but even his brilliant and handsome self isn't worth feeling disrespected or even unsafe. And before you brush this off as Karen review, know that I have 188 five star, 420 four star, 302 three stars, 87 two star and just 21 one star reviews.... I love the idea of supporting small businesses, especially in Long Beach and especially LGBT+ and LGBT+-adjacent businesses but congrats, Broadway Bar, you're my 22nd one star review.

I just have to say that I came in around 830 on a Friday and the bartender was extremely rude because I asked him what kind of liquor was he serving me !!! The response was that I didn't specify what liquor I want it so either I drink what he gave me or I wasn't getting shit!!!

Louis is the greatest Bartender at The Broadway bar. Love to hang out when he is working. So much great energy and the friendless can't be found anywhere else. Guaranteed a good time when Louis is working.

Over the years have been stopping in and out and you never disappointed. Thank you for allowing a place to wind down have some drinks and being able to talk to meet and talk to new friends.

Been frequenting this bar off and on for quite a few years. Bartenders are not overly friendly but friendly enough and the drink prices are pretty reasonable for the area. Clientele is not pretentious and a good low key place to grab a drink or 2.

This place is great place to come too. Come on Saturday they have karaoke. It amazing !! Come see Dane the bartender he can make you some amazing tiki drinks. I love coming to this place. Friendly environment. Definitely recommend this place to have a good drink.

Also, the dj guy who was rude to me is also part of Silver Fox and told me another night that I wasn't able to sing a song because someone else was already singing it. WTF?!

Came here for my 21st birthday, best night ever !! Had a blast at kareoke and everyone was so nice!
