Smallish restaurant that you can easily miss--as a matter of fact I've missed it for years; On Rosecrans Avenue, just before Hawthorne Blvd. Non-description inside--they truly try to add as many tables as possible.Two large glass counters with amazing looking desserts near the front as you enter--save room for dessert!They have a pretty big menu of drinks here - from cocktails to beer. I highly recommend trying one of the signature Brazilian cocktails. I had the strawberry one and it was lovely (vodka and strawberries gently blended with some ice). Yummy!The food here is low-key but really very good. If you have 2 hungry people, (I mean really hungry) I really recommend the Churrasco--the Brazilian BBQ platter. It comes with a starter plate of fried yucca, a ton of French fries, and 2 cheese balls--all very good but honestly, I wish they'd served two more cheese balls and fewer fries. The entree was a giant pan of the meat--the amazing picanha (steak), which is perfectly marinated, chicken (also perfectly seasoned) and one sausage, split in half for sharing. The platter comes with a huge serving of rice and beans. The meat was truly delicious, and we had enough to take home. Since there weren't any green vegetables with the platter, I ordered (and was really glad I did) the collard greens, which were cut in thin strips and cooked in butter and garlic--who can beat that! A tasty twist to collard greens, which I love. We were too full to order dessert, but I couldn't resist them at the counter when we were leaving, so I ordered the chocolate mousse and the flan to take home. (The flan was good, but I wish they'd added the syrup that normally tops a good flan. I'm assuming the mousse was good, though I gave it to my daughter.)It was a fantastic meal, and I have to come back to try more of the menu--strangely, they have a full pasta and pizza menu, which seemed intriguing, and vegetarians would also be happy here--tons of salad options and overflowing side dish vegetable options. All in all, a great dining experience, and TBH, towers above my experience at Fogo de Chao (where I found the food did not live up to the enormous cost.). This is much more relaxed dining, and the food is equally good, some would say even better. Definitely coming back here!

I'm not giving this location a bad rating due to food.The food here is always amazing I'm complaining about the service, the service here is horrible and I have been to all of the Bossanova locations in Los Angeles and this is by far the worst oneTonight I came in with my friend to eat as I been craving this, a short man with a black leather jacket walked passed us several times while serving food and doing other things and we stood at the front door for 20 minutes as anybody who has been here knows you have to wait to be seated so after walking past us multiple times he finally asked if we been helpedI mean if we been helped we wouldn't be standing here still now would we ? So he sits us down and another 20 minutes has flown by so now 40 min being in here we barely get helped and nobody has came to greet us at our table and it wasn't busy like most would assume but I would never want to eat at the location your better off going to the downtown location they would never allow this type of behavior

This was about to be a tragic 1 star review, but the girl's night and my flight was saved for a very resourceful manager. Thanks for taking accountability for your stuff mistakes and providing us a good customer service.If the food doesn't meet the Brazilian standards please let them know. The bakery is a must try We are going to be back for more comfort food

Why is it so hard to secure the food for delivery?? This kind of service is just unacceptable. Food that's delivered is susceptible to anything that some of these people want to do! Tape up pizza boxes! Tape up all the containers so the recipient knows that it hasn't been touched!! Peace of mind is what we need!!!! I ordered a pizza today that had one sticker that wasn't secured. I can't say that it was tampered with because it had only one flimsy sticker that might have just popped loose on its own! Next time the flimsy seal is broken I'm sending it back!!!That response didn't help! Put a better seal! That seal is useless! If you can't provide a better seal then I'll just order better pizza! SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Wow! I had quite the dinner experience at Bodsa Nova Brazilian Cuisine. I've been wanting to try this spot for quite sometime and finally got to try it for a dinner out recently. The menu here is extensive and it was a bit difficult to choose but we ended up getting two of the restaurant's most popular dishes; the Stroganoff ($24.95) and the Tenderloin Medallions ($32.95). For the Stroganoff one can choose chicken or beef. We chose beef. This dish comes with two sides and we chose to get French fries and plantains. The Tenderloin Medallions comes two large Tenderloin Medallions wrapped in bacon and sides of risotto and asparagus.The flavor profiles of both dishes were on point! These dishes were so creamy and saucy. I loved the Madeira Sauce and Mushroom Sauce on the Tenderloin Medallions. I also really liked the Pink Sauce on the Stroganoff. For both dishes; they are very generous with the sauce and it adds so much richness and flavor to each of the dishes. The tenderloin that was cooked medium was very soft and tender. Both entrees were quite enjoyable. For a drink; I chose to get their Passion Fruit juice. This was quite refreshing and had the the right tangy, sweet and sour taste to it.I definitely want to come back and try more dishes. This first visit here was amazing and I am excited to try more of their dishes in the future.

I used to hold 5 stars for this place. The last two times it seems as if the quality and customer service has declined Today I ordered out. I paid $2.50 for a side of Chimichurri. They forgot to put it in my order. My husband went back to let them know and he said he was met with a crazy look and then told it should have been in there. Paid $2.50 for a small 2 ounce container filled with more oil than the fill. Smh. Then to top it off the crispy onions were old. Beyond stale. My 3 stars are because of the $2.50 charge for the overly small portion of chimichurri, the stale onion strings and the unwelcoming customer service. If you're going to give attitude, make sure your food is fresh, all items are in the to go order and that you're not greedy over an overpriced small 2 ounce container that was not filled. The meat was delicious today. And the mashies and asparagus were yummy and on point. The last time I ordered before this, the meat was full of fat, super small portion (not like the regular) and was not cooked correctly.

One of my favorite Brazilian sit down spots in Lawndale! The interior is warm and welcoming, tons of seating with very helpful workers! Parking may get a little complicated due to their limited space in the back, but mostly street parking is available. The Lemon Chicken Thighs were very impressive, very juicy and had tons of flavor: the rice was very filling paired with the black beans and the fried plantains it was the perfect meal. My girlfriend typically enjoys pasta and she had loved the Alfredo chicken pasta! If you are craving something sweet they also have the Bakery Section where they have tons of cakes that were so good!

I usually order take out, but today I decided to dine in and have a cocktail. I love when I walk into an establishment and greeted with a smile. If you haven't tried the Arrabita, then you must. My server Derek was awesome. Very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. I definitely will be dining in more often.
