First - the worker was SO nice and the store is really cute. I highly recommend the chai oreo smoothie! My mother in law liked her thai tea as well! Happy to have stopped here as part of my "30 before 30" challenge to go to 30 animal themed boba/tea places before I turn 30.

Let me start off by saying that I'm a small business supporter, and this review is based on my drink and not to service that I received. The owner was there and another girl working. The girl was really friendly and helpful when it came to placing an order for my wife and son Which I appreciated I got my son the berry one and I ordered my wife the Matcha drink sorry I don't know the exact name but you'll see from the pictures. My son loved his drink and said it was great, but my wife did not like her drink at all, I asked for an extra sweet and honestly tasted sour when I got it, the Matcha and the berry thing together was not a good combo.Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I'd be willing to go back and give it another try because like I said I'd like to support small business and the people seem cool. Maybe it was my drink selection that was wrong.

I come to visit my boyfriend in Cali quite often, and I honestly love how this place is like 5 minutes away from him. As you enter, the store is a little small but they do have a couple small tables available.I've came here a few times and tried different drinks, but I'd have to say the Dark White is one of my favorites. I'd say my second is the Luv U Berry Matcha. Their boba has such great texture. The staff here is very friendly everytime I've came in and is always super helpful when we had any questions regarding their menu.I'd definitely recommend trying them if you haven't!

Once upon a time, this parched Faerie Queen found this great little shop. Nick was a friendly server of amazing concoctions. It was a nice surprise to discover they also make puddings! Looking forward to my next visit already. The end.

Good service, clean ambiance with tables inside, however drinks were bleh. We got the 3 in 1 hot coffee (Vietnamese hot coffee) and the horchata boba. The coffee was whatever's, it's just so sweet and strong. That particular drink was for my better half and as long as he liked it well then that's all that matters. The horchata boba was not good at all, it's flat like it's so sweet and just like not good. The boba was still warm which melted the ice away which made my drink lukewarm. I was grossed out, after a couple sips and giving it a chance I just threw it away. Don't think I'llBe coming back to try anything else. It was dead inside like not a single soul besides one guy that entered before me but that explains a lot I guess.

You can't spell smoothie without hot, so come and get your hot smoothies right here at Bobuzz! No, that's not the slogan for Bobuzz. That's just my TL;DR.Bobuzz was certainly a welcome addition to the City of Lakewood with bubble tea shops seemingly popping up in other places but Lakewood, though One Sip and Hechalou have since opened afterwards. My Yelp friend, Desiree S, earned FTR (First to Review), which ended up being ROTD (Review of the Day) earlier this year. Her review, though not delivering full marks, was sufficient enough to warrant a bookmark from yours truly on this review platform.I came on Seven Eleven only because there was a Seven Eleven in the immediate area, and the dreaded "Slurpee Machine Down" sign was posted at their front door. I had gone to three other locations of Seven Eleven only to be met by a trifecta of no more free slurpees as well as an unintentional trifecta of prime numbers in this sentence. The location at The Plaza at Gordon Ranch was the last one I was willing to try, and there just happened to be this brand new boba shop, which I surely thought would have been the saving grace. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, and maybe I should have gone to another store that starts with lucky number 7. Not the convenience store, but rather, 7 Leaves Cafe. And if the number 7 hasn't emerged enough in this review already, I came in just after 7 PM. I only saw two bobaristas in the shop, and they did a good job serving all the other thirsty customers who presumably were just as disappointed at having missed out on the free slurpees. In that regard, they earned a good amount of business at that hour. There are two TV screens behind the front counter that show the menu. The left screen shows the full menu of drinks, which includes teas (teazz) and smoothies (smoothiezz), and add-ons. The right screen depicts a half dozen signature drinks, of which three of them are the most popular: PMC, Berry Pink, and the Dark White, in that particular order. They only have one size, and a cup of that size is shown at the register so you know exactly how much you are getting upon paying.I was debating among the top 3 popular drinks, but I chose the middle one, Berry Pink, which is a strawberry smoothie, since I was definitely craving one. I couldn't tell if PMC was actually a smoothie since the word "smoothie" didn't appear in the description, and a chocolate smoothie with real Oreo cookies, as sweet as it sounds, might be, as Hozier would put it, too sweet.I was also asked if I'd like to add any toppings. I usually go for crystal boba, but noticed that I could get extra regular boba for the same price. The way they put the extra boba on the menu is a little unclear; it almost looks like the word "extra" is a topping in and of itself or that an extra helping would be an additional 75 cents on top of the 50 cents for a regular helping. Hopefully, that won't throw anyone else off.Total wait time was six minutes, and that included a family of three that ordered right before me. So not too bad.But what was too bad was the actual smoothie. As soon as I touched it, I easily sensed a sharp contrast in temperature at both ends of the cup. Pipin' hot boba on the bottom, and the cool (as opposed to cold) drink on top. The concoction confuzzled me; it was nothing like the smoothie I had from Boba Break Tea House at The Enclave last month, which was much larger at just about the same price point.I still thought maybe it would be a tasty drink, but it was not. While the strawberry taste was prominent, the consistency of a smoothie was completely absent that my drink was more like if strawberry milk and melted strawberry ice cream went and had a baby.I admired the bee theme of this boba shop as well as the Lakewood artwork behind the front counter that depicts the bridge by Boyar Park just on the other side of Studebaker. They also have some Bobuzz shirts, which are probably for sale, but I didn't bother to ask. I also didn't bother to ask about their rewards program, but I saw they had one as I was paying.I saw a flyer at the front counter where Bobuzz can offer up to 20% back as a donation to your organization. Definitely worth asking if you're looking for fundraising opportunities for your non-profit.The two bobaristas were pretty friendly, with one even wishing me a good day and the other sincerely hoping I'd forget about missing out on the free slurpees. But I'm sad to report my mood didn't get better after this visit.Bobuzz was also featured on CityTV late last year:https://vimeo.com/890491555And oddly enough, I had a pretty awful experience at that exact Cassidy's Corner Cafe while working a volunteer gig 2-3 years ago encountering an incredibly rude employee there, which could have been avoided had they had the courtesy to answer my phone call. Guess there's no reason for me to come back to this plaza then. Wamp wamp wwwwaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppp

Bobuzz, nestled in a Lakewood plaza, just impressed me as this is my first time visiting this shop. With so many boba options around, I am glad that Bobuzz is around. The modern, bright interior is a welcoming space to grab a drink on the go, though the limited seating means it's not the best spot to linger. There are four stools, two small tables (one outside), and four chairs for you to enjoy yourself. The menu, while not overwhelming, offers a delightful array of options, and the ability to adjust sweetness, ice, and milk to your preference is a definite plus. Their specials are especially intriguing, like the Matcha and Purple Rain, each offering a creative twist on classic flavors.I got the Purple Rain and I have to say it is was a very refreshing drink as is. I didn't even add boba to it as I wanted to try the drink without any modifications and I was delighted to do so.Definitely worth a travel for me just because of the unique variety they offer here.

I've always seen this spot driving down Del Amo Blvd and decided to finally try it out. The inside is nice and clean, with limited seating indoors and a table outside. Very friendly customer service. Any questions I had were promptly answered and was given great recommendations. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with boba, and it was a great drink. I would definitely get it again, however, without the boba. I wasn't a fan of the boba. The pearls were too hard, and were extremely chewy with a dry center and didn't make the overall drink enjoyable as I tried to avoid the pearls lol. I do recommend trying this place out for yourself as they have unique and fun drinks and a great ambiance.

I really wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately there were a few things that brought them down to 4 stars. First thing first, the drinks. I like to get the regular milk tea from these places to really assess their quality and taste. If you can get the basics right, you're a step ahead! So, got their Brown Sugar milk tea with boba and it was okay. Nothing spectacular. I want to give them another try because they have some very interesting flavors and options in their menu such as the Hokkaido creamer milk substitute and the Oreo series blended drinks. I give them props for their ingredients as you can watch them make the drinks right in front of you and they made everything fresh to order, no premixed teas or powders. Their decor and theme is quirky and fun. You can tell they put an effort to make the place catch your attention and everything looked clean and organized. Prices are reasonable and within the market value for this type of stuff. The ding for me was the limited seating inside and the smell. It's not nasty like "I need to get the H-E-double-hockey-sticks outta here!" type of smell, but definitely a bit off. I tried to come back and try another drink when I was waiting for my tacos from the other place next to them, but that smell threw me off again. A little ding for not having any snacks at all. Not even like cookies or prepackaged Japanese treats or something. Anyway, that's my take on this place.
