Boba Loca

They have the viral instant ramen machine.This is the spot to get your boba, ramyun, taiyaki, and other snacks. My favorite has to be the Tteokbokki here.The best part is that this Boba Loca location is open at 9 am! Have you ever craved boba and had to wait until 12 pm?

Boba Loca is a cute cafe in La Palma that just feels like home! The mixed furniture and kinda random wall decor (BTS tees?!) just feels so endearing to me haha. We had some Shin Ramyeon from those machines that you would see in Korean convenience stores and it just hit different! And we were surprised to see how popular the spot was for young students after school and grandmas gossiping. If this is your vibe, be sure to give them a visit!

We ordered their Vietnamese Coffee which was strong and slightly sweet, while their Strawberry Kiwi smoothie had the perfect balance of flavors. They have your classic boba snacks like popcorn chicken, but they also have some unique ones like their pizza taiyaki and countless ramen options that you can cook with their viral instant ramen machine! This is a great place for chillax and study. A lot of tables have laptop on and they were really here to study. They have free wifi and all the snacks like instant ramen, ice shaved, boba. The vibe was very nice and chill. The server was very friendly. I'd say food and snacks was pretty much you could find elsewhere but they're like local starbucks in terms of service.

Came here on a Sunday around 5:34pm. Parking in the plaza. Service was quick and friendly. There was a lot of people studying but good amount of seating for groups. Music was a bit loud. Ordered the Thai Tea which tasted ok and Original Milk Tea with boba it was chewy and good. Cups were cool but one of the tops was not pressed right so drink was dripping a bit. I saw they also had snacks like ramen to eat as well which was cool.

Had a craving for a pineapple shake but by 9pm, most places were closed. Then I found this place on Yelp and it was only an extra mile away from home. Looked nice and clean, seems like a perfect place for groups to study. I wanted a pineapple and banana smoothie but they were out of bananas so I ordered a pina colada and it hit the spot. They also have frappes (made with ice cream and milk), slushes, milk teas and shaved ice. And snacks! Waffles, popcorn chicken, sandwiches and more. Definitely will be back.

And let me tell ya, their drink game is strong - I tried the lychee tea and a peach tea, both freshly brewed and bursting with flavor. Didn't get a chance to munch on their snacks, but the staff? Absolute gems, super friendly and welcoming. Overall, if you're into chill vibes and quality drink options while hitting the books, this spot's a solid choice.

Today's experience was truly disappointing. While I've had positive visits here before, the service during the evening shift left much to be desired.Upon ordering I was told that I could only order 2 or 5 taiyaki, whereas previously I had been able to order just one. Understanding that policies can change I didn't mind. The cashier's demeanor already seemed off though I empathize that everyone has their bad days.My buzzer rings and I go and grab the food. The cashier is nowhere to be found and there's only one box sitting there and we're the only ones with the loud ringing buzzer so naturally I grab it. We open it to find 3 inside. I was talking pretty obnoxiously about how I was always able to order 1 with my friends so I thought he put another in there as an apology. Apology accepted I thought.My friends and I bite into it only to find out we were given the wrong order, they were all the wrong flavors. Leading me to believe he gave others (family in front of us) the chance to order 3 taiyaki but not us. My friends dragged me out before I exploded lol. It's disheartening when service falls short of expectations and promises are not upheld. As a customer, I value consistency and transparency, especially when it comes to being treated fairly and equally.

One of my go-to spots to lounge. It has a very chill cozy vibe. A hot spot for students and or older adults alike. They have a lot of drinks and snacks to choose from. I usually get their popcorn chicken and instant ramen. The service is very friendly too. I can't wait to try the tteokboki they recently added.

**Severely Inconsistent ingredients and Portions**I've ordered the same item from this place more than five times, hoping for improvement each time, but I am very disappointed. The ingredients are severely inconsistent and often missing, and the portions vary greatly. The food quality is poor, and it's clear that the owner or manager needs to train the staff properly. This place had potential, but I'm not happy with the repeated issues. I don't think they can get it right, so I'll have to take my business elsewhere.
