Love the deal where you buy a $25 gift card and get a free beverage! We got the Oreo Crème Brûlée milk tea which came with boba, and it was really good! Wish there were more Oreo bits but wow, it was delicious! Perfect sweetness level and the boba was nice and chewy - perfectly made!

We were driving by and noticed that this was new so we decided to stop by to give it a try. As soon as I walked in, I thought the decor was cute. The two girls working that day were chatting it up and it seemed that my presence annoyed them. So I ordered my drinks and just waited on the other side for them to be ready. I ordered the favorites: Queen Bee and the Stinger. I didn't like the Stinger at all. They add ginger ale to the drink so I felt it gave it a weird taste. I ended up drinking the Queen Bee and liked it more but it was really sweet. The boa itself was okay but when I let my drink set, the boba got hard which is typical but usually not that quick. Based on other similar reviews, unfortunately, not sure if I will be back.

Mama Bee or Ube Cloud?? The Mama Bee (Ube Crème Brûlée) is extremely creamy and overly sweet. The drink is also not cold enough for my liking. To put it in short words it tastes like drinking frosting through a straw. 3/10Ube Cloud (Ube with Oreo) is a slushy so it is much colder and in my opinion tastes much better. 8/10I have tried a lot of the drinks on the menu including:Boba Bee Milk Tea (Oolong Tea) & Thai Tea 10/10- you can't go wrong with the classics and you can adjust the sweetness Tropical Breeze 9/10- this drink is refreshing and delicious. I wish the dragon fruit flavor peaked out more Pumpkin Chai 8/10- this is a seasonal drink and it tastes like pumpkin horchata! I really enjoyed this drink. Pumpkin Cheesecake 8.5/19- I was blown away with how good this drink was. I wish they kept this on their regular menu. Finally, I have ordered from this place before on DoorDash and they did mess up my order and forgot to add boba to one of my drinks. Not a big deal but something worth sharing.

It was the best of Boba Bees, it was the worst of Boba Bees.I guess it only makes sense to continue with these literature-related intros if my visits to the Long Beach Boba Bee entail shortcomings with discounted drinks.I wanted to give this Boba Bee another try after the debacle that was the Watermelon Lemonade at the conclusion of summer. I've since learned that the same employees work at both the Long Beach and Lakewood locations, so my ratings for the two different locations could have easily flip-flopped in an alternate world. If the same employees work at both locations, you would think that both would have the same ratings. However, after visiting both locations at least twice, I've noticed a statistically significant difference between the two that I'm still bewildered by the stark contrast in my experiences, hence the Charles Dickens intro.Until November 24, you can try their Stinger drink for $1 with any drink purchase. I had just visited nearby Rancho Los Alamitos and wanted to treat myself to a couple of drinks. I wanted one for that day and the other for the next day when I was planning to do laundry. As soon as I came in, a bobarista welcomed me and fielded my questions regarding the Stinger and the Creme Brulee series. She was pleasant and sweet, but needed help from a male co-worker if the Stinger was a caffeinated drink as well as physically ringing up the Stinger for $1 at the register. The wait was 3-4 minutes before my drinks were ready; I sat at a bench by the front door, but the bench was kind of wobbly, just like one of the tables from the Lakewood location. Only difference here is the type of furniture lol. They didn't offer a takeout bag or a drink carrier, so I had to be careful carrying out the drinks, straws, and my receipt. Unfortunately, the Stinger was a literal stinger to my clothes! As I was carrying the Stinger, some of the drink had spilled onto my shirt and jacket! I had thought the Stinger was leaking from the bottom, but turns out it was leaking at the seal! They didn't seal that drink correctly! See the video I posted alongside this review: after tilting the cup, some of the drink spilled out, so I had to be super careful and keep the cup upright while drinking the Stinger. I think that's why that drink was only $1, and good thing this happened *before* I did my laundry lol.The Stinger tasted great though, even when I saved it for the next day. There are plenty of fruit bits and *gasp* another lemon slice^!The Oreo Creme Brulee, on the other hand, had no issues with the seal. I tested this by giving the cup a few shakes after inserting the straw through the seal, and it only leaked through the hole made by the straw. I enjoyed the Oreo Creme Brulee, but not as much as I'd like since the flavor didn't come out as strong. I'd say this drink was quite comparable to the Black Sugar Boba Milk drink I got from Tiger Sugar in Little Tokyo earlier this month, and that one was $1 less. But the boba here was more QQ, though I wouldn't say by that much to compensate for the dollar difference.I neglected to shake the Oreo Creme Brulee until after taking my first sip, but stirring the drink after that didn't seem to have much of an effect. I don't know if shaking beforehand would have made a difference, but considering my mishap with the Stinger just moments ago, I'd only recommend to shake the drinks lightly instead.Case in point, looks can be deceiving. Don't assume the drinks are sealed properly here.I didn't get the bobarista's name on my last visit. The receipt says Morgan, but I know it's not Morgan because I briefly saw Morgan working in the back for a second while trying to decide which other drink to get alongside the Stinger. After my second visit, I think there is enough to give a third star, but honestly, it's going to take *a lot* for me to award a fourth star if I had issues with 2 out of the 3 drinks I've had here so far, and the odd one out didn't leave *that* much of an impression. Even if my third visit was a 5-star visit, a 2, 3, and 5 would only average out to a 3 after rounding.^ I also wanted to use this review update to piggyback off my initial review regarding the supposed fingernails in the Watermelon Lemonade. I was informed that the fingernail-like objects actually came from the hard lemon slices, which I do believe was the case since the two lemon slices in my Watermelon Lemonade were so firm that if I tried to bend either slice, it could easily snap in two. However, it's still a pretty bad mistake in that it would present a choking hazard, and I certainly wouldn't recommend any lemonades for the kiddos since all lemonades have slices of lemon inside. I'm sincerely hoping an implementation of preventative measures have been put in place since my first visit, and I'm also hoping additional corrective action can be taken to fine tune the sealing process on the drinks. I don't want another mess on my clothes and even inside my car!

My fourth stop as part of my "30 before 30" challenge/adventure to go to cute (preferably animal) themed tea/cafe shops before I turn 30! I was not disappointed. The theme is top notch here. I love love love it. I will be back to try other drinks because I preferred my partner's drink (the stinger) over my usual peach tea. Which just shows I got to try more of their top 10 drinks. They are top 10 for a reason!

This is our second time here, we wanted to give it another try. But I'm not sure why both times- the drinks have been mediocre. The drink I got today was extremely disgusting. Had a horrible taste as soon as you drink it. And a distinct after taste. We didn't notice until we were half way home and we live 10 mins away. Not worth coming back to tell them how much the drinks sucked. And we had to wait 15 mins for boba. When our drinks were ready they didn't inform us. We had to walk up the counter to ask and no one was there but us.Not coming back! Horrible customer service.

Love the look, not so much the drinks. I was looking forward to trying Boba Bee out when I was told about it. The outside sign and inside decor is fun and bee-themed which I really thought was clever. Looking at their menu though it is kinda just more of the same. The same old boba shop place silly pricing is there, if you want non-dairy pay $0.85 more to sub the milk out. If you want boba or a topping sure, $0.85 more. Thing is when there is a drink called Boba Bee it kind of implies that boba would be included. Pricing to me was a bit high, at over $15 for two drinks I was a bit taken back. I did not change my milk option but did add the boba "topping" in the Boba bee. Several of the drinks are non-milk / lactose as a standard, not sure why but not all need to be changed out if you are lactose sensitive. Something I have never seen or heard about before though, when I picked up my "Boba Bee" my son told me that mine was made fresh and that looks good. I questioned him about that after and he mentioned that his was pre-maid and came from a refrigerator. I was curious if his boba was going to be old then and although it was not as chewy, it was not bad per se. What was kinda overwhelming was the creme brulee that was on the bottom. I don't know if this is a new thing in the boba world but I thought it was like a clump of frosting and terrible.Another reason for my score is the amount of ice in the cups. I fully understand I can cull it back but a normal serving of ice here is more than 3/4 of the cup full. After we dumped the drink out we looked and yah the ice was still nearly filling the cup.Neither of us finished our drinks, won't be back.

Small boba shop so it only accommodates a few parties at a time, but it was basically empty when I went. The service was fairly quick and the drink was pretty standard (boba was soft and tea was nicely flavored).
