Good vegetarian food. I like the to-go deals. The fried fish with lemongrass is good. I like the sweet and sour canh chua soup, too.

Bo De Vegetarian Food is venue located at a corner of an old strip mall -- part takeout and part sit down restaurant. The front entrance throws you off with a hodgepodge of a rickshaw, an out of place Italian cook and an outdoor seating. Upon walking in, a table of prepackaged foods and a lion head (probably leftover from Lunar Year celebration) is in full displayed. In the background, country music is playing. However, don't let this fool you.The service from the friendly and engaging staff is wonderful. The selection and vegetarian food are full of flavors. The first time we visited, we opted to sit in and enjoy the full service. The booths were very well decorated with Buddhism symbolism. We ordered the steam rice rolls with mock meat (3/5). The texture of the steamed rice rolls were dry and not tender. We also tried the kungpoa "chicken" (4/5). The dish was surprisingly very food, crisp and flavorful. The second visit (and likely more in the future), we turned to the left side which are to-go takeout counters of pre-made food. There are usually a dozen choices -- selection varies and tofu curries are only available the 15th of each month (lunar calendar). We ordered 4-5 vegetarian dishes --- stirred fried eggplant, bitter squash melon soup, fried tofu patties and mock "catfish ". My only complaint -- the temperature of the food is cool. I was surprised no hot water or heat lamp to keep the food warm.Otherwise, I'll keep returning to support this establishment. I wish the price-model sticks to labeled on each container size. A couple times, I question the charges.

Bo De Vegetarian Food is hands down the best spot in town for vegetarian cuisine! Every time I visit, I have to order the com phần with ca chiến, cà tím, and canh chua. The flavors are incredible and truly satisfying. For an appetizer, the bò bía is a must-try! The rolls are perfectly wrapped and bursting with flavor, and the sauce is simply delicious. Another favorite of mine is the bird nest, featuring crispy noodles with a generous portion of vegetarian meats and vegetables. It's a delightful and hearty dish that never disappoints. The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate a large number of guests comfortably. The staff is super nice and attentive, always ensuring a pleasant dining experience. They are also very patient, especially with my indecisive parents, who never felt rushed while making their choices.Overall, Bo De Vegetarian Food offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this vegan joint inside a Vietnamese strip mall in Fountain Valley. You can order a sit down meal from the menu, or pick your hot deli items to go. We ordered the cripsy omelette, crispy house noodle, and another rice noodle dish, all very good. The crispy noodle is similar to the Hong Kong-style 'birds nest' crispy noodle dish but the egg noodle is a lot thicker (like udon-thick). Friendly chatty owner who goes out of his way to make sure you're having a good time.

First time visiting this mom and pop vegetarian place. Not disappointing at all. The owner is super friendly and introduced us their signature dishes. They have a spacious dining area but also you can take it to go. They have a section that is offering a la carte. The quality of the food is phenomenal. It reminds me of my family and how I grew up in a vegetarian family. We ordered egg rolls and gotta use the vegetable to wrap it. Kung pao green bean chicken which is very flavorful. And the noodle soup!!! Next time, gotta comeback for trying other dishes and taking my friends here :)Ps they close at 3pm but open daily!!!

Stopped by to get something for my son, who's vegetarian. The man at the counter is the owner, so I've been told by my mom, who's Caucasian but speaks Vietnamese. Still, I was ambivalent going in. When he asked me what I wanted to order I said I knew what it is in Vietnamese but not in English. He said go for it and I said "bún riêu". He said that's easy and said the same again to the kitchen staff then wrung me up and said my amount was 17 dollars and some change--in Vietnamese. Super cool guy. My mom has tried this place and the vegan place in the shopping center next door. We like the other one because my son says it's less busy and hours coincide with his school schedule but for soups, my mom says this place uses better broth that doesn't have artificial stuff added that make her mouth feel dry. Highly recommend this place for take out. Didn't pay attention to whether they had sit down option because I had errands to run.

Still good after all these years . The kungpao , new menu to me , is deliciously healthy . The cá nướng or Roasted Fish has been our favorite. The accompanying sauce is thick and perfect . Staff have new uniforms, most professional looking vegetarian restaurants in town .

Worst service executed by Asian run operator. Waitlist is on rudimentary pen and pad. My party and I arrived at 1 PDT and was self waitlisted thru this method. Establishment did not implement text alert when your table is ready nor enabled yelp waitlisted. After 50 'minutes of not hearing my name called and after realizing later patrons were seated, I proceeded to recheck list at 1:50PDT. My name was crossed off. Instead of de escalating the tense situation, the host simply asked me to start over by relisting on waitlist.Needless, there are dozens of similar eateries within 5 miles radius with better servicing management.
