I can't even call this just "service" because Daniel C. truly made it an experience! From start to finish, he was so sweet, funny, and engaging--he kept us laughing the whole night and was incredibly attentive. He even took the nicest pictures for our group, which we'll cherish forever! The food was so yummy!! Every bite was perfection, and the drinks were just as delicious. To top it off, as we were leaving, another super kind waiter ran after me to return my chapstick that I forgot on the table--such a thoughtful gesture! The entire staff was so warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was just *chef's kiss*. Can't wait to come back!!

Came here for the Brussel sprouts and I'll probably be back.Good service, but the picnic table seats weren't the most comfortable to me. I wanted coffee with the donuts holes. I've had wonderful coffee at other Cohn restaurants, but the coffee here was just meh.I would definitely recommend this place.

When in Long Beach, no matter what the reason, make sure you get reservations for BO-beau for your dinner experience. This is a nice sized French fusion, if you will, restaurant that knocks it out of the park! I have been a couple times now and really can't wait to go back. This is one of those, "I want to try everything in the menu" type places. And if it weren't for my wife stopping me, I probably would have! The problem there is their servings are so big and filling, I probably would have only gotten through a couple orders and had to "box" the rest! But, regardless, all of the meals we ordered were delicious and decent sized! We had the prime rib and halibut, which were amazing but the sides and appetizers were equally delicious! For those we ordered the Brussels Sprouts and mushroom risotto and added the short ribs to the risotto. The BEST!! (Make sure you add the ribs)The service both times I visited was 5 star leave your attitude at the door type and very knowledgeable about the meals they offered!, which I LOVE! (Shout out to Ollie(?) who served us that night!. Sorry if I got your name wrong.)Neither my wife nor I are drinkers so we don't have a review on the rooftop bar. But if it's anything like the restaurant, it's a "don't miss"! Would definitely, 10 out of 10 times, recommend Bo-beau!

Very classy and clean restaurant with pretty good food although a bit pricier. The server was attentive, polite, and funny. The only issue was parking which is def hard to find in LA so we paid around $20-$30 I think for one of the parking garages across the street. I came here for a friend's birthday and tried their French onion soup and meat balls with goat cheese. Wagyu Beef Meatballs with pomodoro, goat cheese puree, basil (gf) = 4/5 - Soft Wagyu meatballs were pretty filling, I really enjoyed the goat cheese pairing :) French Onion Soupcaramelized onions, swiss cheese, garlic croutons, mozzarella cheese. = 3.5/5 - Solid onion soup with a TON of onions. The top had a generous thick cheese and the flavor was hearty and good!

Checked out Bo-beau for LA's Dining week last night. It was my first visit. The upstairs which is open most days is casual with community dining picnic tables. They advertise it as an urban beer garden. The downstairs is industrial chic. Very hip. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Day time hours limited to Saturday and Sundays. The downstairs is not open every night, so check if that's what you want.We chose the downstairs and were seated in a comfy booth. For restaurant week there is a prixe fixe menu of 3 courses with some choices in each course. We checked out the Brussel Sprouts and Brie. The real kicker with the Sprouts is the pork belly pieces mixed in and the fat that undoubtedly coats them. Excellent. The Brie with the jam was very good was just enough for loading up the two slices of grilled toast. For entrees we chose the Fish and Short Ribs. The Halibut was served over orzo and was excellent. Nicely grilled on the outside moist on the inside. Perfect. The Short Ribs were tasty but a bit tougher than they should be.For dessert we both opted for the rhubarb bread pudding. It was very good. More of a rhubarb jam over a bread pudding square versus chunks of bread. But still very good.Very nice wine and cocktail list. We opted for the Malbec which was very light, more like a pinot noir. Our server, Mark, was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent service.I'll be back to check out the upstairs!

Location is very convenient to the Long Beach Convention Center. We visited ALA that weekend and decided to dine here for dinner tonight. There is a parking structure right at the back, which was $15 per day.We went about 6:30pm and it wasn't busy at all. We were a bigger party, so we were seated upstairs on the rooftop, which I was afraid it would be too cold, but it was surprisingly really warm! They really kept it nice and warm at the rooftop which was pretty nice. We had to all squeeze on this bench table, which was doable, but not the comfiest seating. We all made our rounds of order, which I ordered the steak and frites. We also got to try some appetizers to share as well, which we tried the mac and cheese poutine, calamari, and brussel sprouts. I actually enjoyed the brussel sprouts a lot as they were very fragrant. The short rib on the poutine was also pretty good as well, although the calamari was a the most bland and disappointing appetizer. Our appetizers came out in a timely manner, but geez... the wait for our entrees was FOREVER. We were already tired from the day, but we waited about 2 hours since we started ordering and it really made all of us pretty cranky. Good thing we ordered the appetizers, but also since we had some of the appetizers. Although the wait really killed our appetite when the entrees arrived 2 hours later... We were told that the restaurant was backed up with orders, but the restaurant itself wasn't even insanely busy as they claimed to be. There were still many empty tables around the restaurant, and many tables without their food... The 2 hour wait was a killer. Once our entrees arrived, I was finally able to try the streak and frites. Honestly, for the price and wait for this entree, it really wasn't worth it. The steak wasn't as tender as it looked, and the sauce it had didn't really complement it well. The fries itself tasted better than the steak, which I really had more of the fries.Aside from the wait, our server was extremely nice and one of them did apologize for the wait and offered free dessert. We didn't want to wait any longer... Food was nice, but the wait really had us upset that night.

The rooftop is a great place to hangout and people-watch if you're sitting at the ledge. Service was great, food was tasty and we enjoyed being outside. The noise level wasn't bad. I guess it may have been if we had a larger party, but the hubby and I were huddled close together so it was perfect!

Again, the brussel sprouts have yet to meat a worthy contender. They reign supreme over LA county - maybe even all of California. Prices are steep but plates are definitely shareable. Tried the short-rib poutine this time and lo, it was a hit. Very attentive and friendly service here. I've noticed more small, local alcohol options on the menu which is exciting. I don't know if I'm just noticing or if it's always been that way, but featuring beers from the likes of Smog City and Booze Brothers is great for the beer nerds who wind up here. The TVs were, again, a weird addition that kind of cheapens the vibe but overall the heated rooftop is a nice experience year-round.

I've been to BO-beau kitchen + roof tap a couple of times - on a date, happy hour & business meeting - and each experience has been stellar. The first floor dining area is much more of a trendy upscale experience whereas upstairs is more of a causal rooftop bar experience. On Thursday, December 19, 2024, I dined on the rooftop for the first time. Yes, it does get cold on the rooftop in California in the middle of December, but there are heaters, so you'll be fine :)The rooftop beer garden features 50 taps, 50 + vodkas, martinis, hand crafted cocktails and eclectic wine selection. Their dishes and small bites menu includes everything from ratatouille, wagyu burger, roasted chicken, bone-in ribeye and pork porterhouse to flatbreads. One of my fave items, "Korean bulgogi fries" was no longer on the menu - our server informed us that they're focusing more euro dishes. But we were still able to order it which was awesome (I guess you could say we ordered off their secret menu).Parking is a bit challenging because it's downtown Long Beach. They don't have Valet, but there is an hourly parking lot (Park Mobile App) a few hundred feet away... it was $8/hour. Womp womp womp. But totally worth it.If you're in downtown Long Beach and looking for a trendy spot with incredible service, look no further than Bo Beau!!

We came here with a party of 6 for the Dine LA fundraiser event and I was throughly pleased with the food, service and ambiance! Our waiter was very kind and checked on us frequently. They timed bringing out the food perfectly for a set meal and all of the options were delicious. I had always wanted to visit and Dine LA gave us a reason to, and i'll definitely come again!
